Once again the repetitive sound of the alarm had awoken the young boy once more. It had been a few days since his humiliating defeat to that succubus and ever since he hadn’t felt the same way. It was if all that training he had endured was for naught. Ever since that day he had yet to pick up his katana or even train after all what was the point? That day had kept replaying through his head, the way he had foolishly played into the palms of that demon, the way she taught him and the look of disappointment that Xan had given him. The lost to the Apprentice Knight was painful enough but the words of Xan were like the icing on the cake. He had felt as if he had been wasting Xan’s time and his dream of bringing peace to the factions seemed impossible. “Maybe it was just a childish dream, besides no one ever wants peace anyways.” Hiro muttered to himself before dragging himself out of bed. It had been days since he had left the house and he felt it was about time he had taken a walk.

After he had finished what needed to be done around the house, Hiro had found himself wandering around the village aimlessly until he had arrived at the very same spot he was humiliated. Putting his katana down, Hiro would sit on a tree stump, which was formally a tree but thanks to Xan it was no more. In truth he had no drive for training or for anything for that matter, he had just thought he needed to get out the house though he’d probably go back home shortly.

Bats would silently hover above Hiro before converging into a woman who was currently chewing on an apple her axe-bass slung on her back she would land silently standing over the depressed Bronze Knight and and chewing rather slowly as she made a facial expression which would match his own picture of depression. "Well aren't you the cutest little sad thing, I wonder what made you all mopey. Well might as well have some fun at his expense. she thought to herself as she swallowed the part of the apple that she had been chewing
Spoiler:

Despite her facial expression her eyes were amused at whatever dilemma Hiro was going through, shortly after she arrived another man would walk in clad in a sleek jacket & slightly baggy pants with a forward facing cap. He would look around somewhat frantically before spotting the girl and pointing at her, though from where Hiro was sitting it would seem like he was instead pointing at Hiro. Oi, give me back my cigars before I break your spine! he roared out before stalking over to the woman which also since Hiro was sitting and she was behind him would seem like the angry man was in fact yelling at him and stalking over to beat him up.

With a scowl plastered on his face Hiro would stare the woman dead in the eye. He had no idea where she had come from nor did he care who she was, all he wanted to know was why she was so close to him and what she wanted from him, then again in Pandora you don’t need a reason to pick a fight with someone you just do it so to avoid any altercations Hiro would do the best thing in this situation. “Excuse me.” He said abruptly before getting up from the tree stump and headed in the opposite direction from the pale chick with the apple. Whatever she wanted he wasn’t interested and he wasn’t in the mood to deal with bullshit from anyone and thus when he saw and heard the man yelling about his cigars he simply chose to ignore it as he knew nothing about cigars so it was quite obvious he was talking to someone else. “Damn freaks…” He muttered under his breath as he walked away from the two. It seemed that leaving home was a bad idea after all.

The woman would take another bite of the apple before pulling out a parcel and waving it around. Oooh, you want your cigars don't you boy? Soooo go...fetch! She said smirking as she saw the man's eyes dart left and right as she waves the parcel around before tossing it prompting him to rush after it at B-rank speed to retrieve it. Unfortunately her new playmate was walking away prompting her to speed walk after him to overtake and then stand in front of him. Hey hey, were you going cutie aren't you Xan-taicho's newest pet project. You should be more respectful to your senpai's, I'm Ivanna what's your name. she said holding out her now free hand while taking another bite from her apple as she waited for his response.

Meanwhile the man would manage to catch his parcel and would snarl at the girls remark, fucking bitch he should break her spine just for the fun of it, bloodsuckers like her didn't have regeneration it would be really amusing seeing her crawl around in pain without dying. He would pocket the parcel before pulling out a cigarette and his lighter lighting it and taking a long pull. Ahhhh that's the stuff. Oi, kid ignore her she's nothing but trouble. he would sigh during his exhale as if he were some sort of nicotine addict, which he was he smoked even more than his boss, pity he didn't have the undead lungs like his boss did though. It was a bitch having to regenerate his lung tissue every now and then.

Hiro would come to a quick halt after the woman had rudely cut him off, which he had honestly expected after all it wouldn’t be that easy to shake someone like her off. “My brother always told me that respect is earned not given and you haven’t done anything to earn my respect the only thing you’ve done so far is piss me off lady.” Hiro said angrily while staring her dead in the eyes. Though he had known better than to let his emotions get to the better of him in his current frame of mind he was unable to think and act like the rational person he was but she was just asking to be sliced into pieces and he’d be more than happy to help her out with it. “If you don’t have anything important to say to me, which I doubt you do, just leave me alone.

"Brother? Huh Taicho didn't mention you had family, he dead or something? Ivanna said demonstrating her complete lack of tact and making it worse she would take another bite out of her apple as if she hadn't said anything wrong. Well, I could tell you what I have to tell you if you tell me your name gaki. Or you could try and force me to let you leave. Your a Bronze right, but if Xan-taicho trained you personally then you must me be some hot shot. Or a failure like Tums, so you going to play nice and tell me your name gaki or are things going to get difficult." Ivanna said while shrugging her shoulders as if she didn't care either way. "Oi, Doggy-chan do you think the Gaki's gay or something usually when accosted by a pretty Nee-san like myself guys are all conversational and stuff."

"Meanwhile the man would narrow his eyes at the nickname he had for him. Once again, my name is Klaus not Doggy-chan, not Kibbles, not Arf-Arf, and definitely not Sir Smoke's a lot. You either call me by my name or just don't talk me Ivanna, besides Xan gave me order's not you. Your not even supposed to be here but no you tagged along and your annoying the poor kid who obviously just wanted to sit on that stump and brood all day." Klaus said with his cigarette hanging from his bottom lip as he folded his arms over his chest. Sure despite his complaining he didn't bother trying to diffuse the situation at all if the kid was a real man he would just put the woman in her place.

It’s rather interesting that you think of yourself of attractive when you’re nothing but a walking hot mess of a corpse then again they’re many here in Pandora that indulge in necrophilia.” Hiro said disdainfully in reply to her last comment. Though he tried to hold his anger back he was currently near his boiling point s he demeanor, words and actions just reminded him of that succubus he had might here a few weeks back perhaps he should just take his anger out on her but considering she was with the TLAH Order that meant she would be Silver Knight or higher which with his current skill set he would probably get beaten to pulp and his pride couldn’t take another battering at the moment. So fight might not be the best course of action. “Klaus-san.” He said turning his attention to the man who seemed to be as annoyed with her as much as he was. “What why did the old man send you here? What does he want?

"Well he commented on your lack of skill against illusions and sent me here to give you a run down on all you can use to counter genjutsu users. She decided to tag along because she actually utilizes genjutsu and thought you would benefit from being repeatedly cast on in order to break out of them, speaking of which that genjutsu that you were caught in last time should no longer affect you thanks to your past confrontations." Klaus said getting straight to the point while the girl just smirked while taking another bite out her apple good he still had his fire she had been aggravating him on purpose to get him angry no use moping when you could vent your anger out productively.

"Yep, you got creamed by an Apprentice because she used genjutsu, sucks but mental users are the bane of physical specialist so don't feel too down my cute kohai. Taicho thought it was unacceptable but admitted he didn't know much about genjutsu so we are here to make sure that never happens again." The girl said after swallowing and once she finished speaking she'd take yet another bite out of her apple completely ignoring his comment about her being a corpse, so what Taicho was a corpse too he was pretty sexy. He had plenty of fangirls & fanboys, and so would she once she became an Platinum Knight.

A soft sigh escaped his lips after hearing the reason why they both were stalking him. It was bad enough that he had disgraced himself and tarnished the reputation of Xan by losing to that Apprentice Knight but it seemed as if everyone had known about his humiliation and if Xan had told his lackeys about what had happened he could just only imagine that winged freak going around telling everyone how she defeated Hiro and how a God of Pandora now owes her a favor. “Damn it…” How was he going to achieve his dreams if he was unable to beat someone who was lower than he was in the food chain? Who would listen to words of a weak person? He needed to regain his pride; he needed to regain his honor and most of all he needed to restore Xan’s faith in him. “Thank you for taking time out to help me out Klaus-san, I truly am grateful.” He said earnestly before bowing his head to the man who was his superior, while ignoring the woman until Klaus had given him reason to speak with her.

"No sweat kid, just next time you fight her, cut off one of her limbs. Who does she think she is asking anything of Xan, tch the sheer nerve of the bitch. Unfortunately it would look some sort of way if a man like myself were to tear her a new one so I'll settle with you doing that the next time she thinks she can one up you." Klaus said while exhaling a massive cloud of smoke much larger than anything Xan exhaled simply due to Klaus's abnormally large lung capacity. "So what do you need to know or am I going to have to explain everything from the top in terms of the various methods that you can escape &/or counter genjutsu cast on you. Besides the obvious pain method, for each method Ivanna will ensnare you in a genjutsu " he said while the girl now known as Ivanna would take another bite of her apple before throwing the rest away.

Though he had a personal vendetta against the Amy or whatever her name was he didn’t think he would bring himself to cut off one of her limbs, though he was pretty sure if she had the chance she would kill him damn his amiable personality. Though he was glad for the moral support from Klaus, even though they knew nothing of each other. “Well in terms of genjutsu disruption I only know the two basic methods, pain of course and through kaii. When I was fighting her genjutsu made it so I was unable to move my body so escape through pain wasn’t possible, that and my dumb clone tried stabbing itself to escape from the genjutsu only to disperse, which was even more embarrassing. ” Hiro said recalling the fight with Amayamitsu or whatever her name was. He was pretty sure if had know Kaii back then he probably would’ve stood a semblance of a chance but no use crying over spilt milk. “Are there even anymore methods of escaping from genjutsu?” He would ask unsure if they were anymore and if they were he’d be interested into knowing what they were.

"Pfft... your clone is pretty stupid. Well, besides Pain & chakra disruption aka Kai, there are a couple of methods. One of them being Dojutsu disruption, due to dojutsu being capable often seeing in different spectrums and giving an additional complexity to an individual's brain while dojutsu are active most have some method of disrupting, identifying, seeing through or outright cancelling the effects of genjutsu. Your a Denkou aren't you, shouldn't you know this though?" Ivanna said cutting in when Klaus was about to speak prompting him to glare at her causing her to sigh and keep her mouth shut.

"There is also the elemental chakra disruption Lightning in particular is good for disrupting genjutsu due to it's ability to likewise disrupt one's nervous system and chakra flow. Thus to non elemental genjutsu it can break an individual out of it much more effectively than basic kai and offset non elemental based genjutsu even those backed by Haki, well most of the time at least as some Ronin figure ways to combine their Ronin Ability with their genjutsu and it opens up a whole new can of worms. There is also hypersensitivity which is what Dojutsu disruption is based on but can apply to any sense, the higher your sensory medium the more likely you are to notice something is amiss and identify when you are under a genjutsu. For instance someone causes you to visualize a swamp yet your nose tells you your in a desert, your alerted to the fact that something doesn't add up." Klaus said tapping his nose in the end, it was what he used the most due to his werewolf curse seal granting him enhanced senses. "But those are mainly for sensory based genjutsu, proximity and other more obscure genjutsu well, they require other types of sensory. Chakra sensory will allow you to notice proximity genjutsu but I don't know if you were born a sensor or not? Likewise a lack of chakra or at least flowing chakra will prevent them from harming you. For instance you should be normally immune to genjutsu yet, your not to Natural Energy or Nega Energy based ones. Yet if you became undead like Xan is then even those wouldn't bother you. To be honest in my opinion your best bet of eliminating your genjutsu weakness is combating it with Lightning based Kai & your Raidengan."

Hiro listened keenly to what the man had been saying from start to finish. In truth he never knew much about Denkou techniques as he had grown outside the clan and never had someone teach him what it had meant to be a true denkou, that and he was unable to mold chakra ever since birth so he had never thought in his wildest dreams he would’ve been able to use lightning much less the Raidengan so what he had been learning from currently were old scrolls left around by his brother and most of the information on said scrolls were illegible so while he was able to decipher some of it the rest was lost forever which was a bit disappointing to say the least but he was working with what he had at the moment. Maybe there would be some way for him to get in contact with a Denkou that would be able to shed some light on clan techniques and weaponry, but due to the fact he would be considered a traitor that ran off to Pandora getting in touch with a Denkou might not be a good idea. “I’m sorry if I seemed clueless about stuff like this. I was only able to use lightning a couple months ago thanks to the Curse Mark and I know nothing at all about the Raidengan as of course I wasn’t raised within my clan so I’m just winging most things at the moment.” He said as if the man was the only person around him at this time. “If you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated Klaus-san

Ivanna would pout as she gave advice but was ignored but Klaus would ignore her as well instead continuing on in his explanation. Adding elemental chakra into Kai is simple, the first step I to understand how to use Kai in it's advanced level a simple D-rank technique which involves not simply disrupting the chakra flow to the brain but pulsing it expending the portion currently cycling within one's cranium to force a disruption. Depending on the power of the genjutsu you are under you will have to expend a greater portion of chakra to counter balance it, this is the way of breaking genjutsu which normally can not be broken by pain. Sure it makes you waste chakra to break the genjutsu forcibly but it is a lifesaver nonetheless. The elemental variant is the same except infusing elemental chakra into it or in your case Elemental Natural Energy, this causes a stronger disruptive effect due to chakra or natural energy with elemental nature transformations always overpowering ambient chakra or natural energy. By repeating that process you can break out of things which are not only incapable of being broken out of via pain but likewise non elemental Haki or Mind Lock backed genjutsu. Klaus said before looking to Ivanna who was waving her hand as if she wanted to talk.

"As for dojutsu disruption, your just going to have to figure that out on your own or capture a Denkou and torture them for the information on such a thing. But dojutsu are mainly good for their ability to identify when a genjutsu is being cast on the user, like I said before dojutsu allow the user to see differently than the caster, as a result due to the discrepancies a lot of genjutsu user's are helpless when faced against a dojutsu possessing victim especially with visual transmitted genjutsu. This is because genjutsu is half chakra half imagination while trying to project an image close enough to reality that often the victim think it is in fact real, as a result they are then blindsided by the genjutsu instead of immediately noticing something is wrong and breaking it." Ivanna said, finally actually being helpful instead of teasing or making rude comments.

So all he needed to do was to understand and learn the mechanics of the Kai technique and when he had grasped the basics of it he would need to create an advanced variation of the Kai technique that utilizes his Lightning Magic to break genjutsu easier, it sounded easier and less painful than constantly stabbing himself to get out genjutsu but the fact that he might be wasting his energy while constantly using Kai bothered him. “Wouldn’t it be possible to create a Juinjutsu that would break me out of genjutsu instantly if I do get caught in one?” Hiro asked Klaus. Juinjutsu was something that Hiro was currently delving into and even though it was a bit complex, it was quite interesting and he wondered if he could use it to aid him in battle for defensive reasons rather than offensive reasons.

Even though he didn’t want to admit it Ivanna made a good point regarding his dojutsu and unfortunately there were no Denkou around so if he was unable to learn how to use his Raidengan to disrupt genjutsu he would probably need to seek out a denkou which probably wouldn’t be easy, it sucked being the only Denkou in Pandora.

The two would look at one another, juinjutsu was more Ivanna's cup of tea but she would give Hiro a measured gaze before replying. Possible, yes if your a cop out juinjutsu doesn't work like fuinjutsu kid. If your going to put such a seal on your body then it has to come with a cost, do you want to give up your ability to utilize genjutsu just for some immunity which could be acquired via something else? Ivanna said slightly annoyed at Hiro's short sightedness sure it wasn't her choice it was his but she didn't want him to stifle his growth or abandon genjutsu just because of some bad experience, everyone could be competent in genjutsu if they just gave it a chance. She would open her mouth about to go on a rant before Klaus would clear his throat causing her to frown and look away.

I believe what she's trying to say is, it's not free. How about this, instead of doing that immediately learn the two other methods first, then learn how to make the juinjutsu curse. That way in case someone manages to disrupt the curse on your body you'll have other methods of rendering genjutsu a moot point against you. Klaus said with a shrug before he went back to smoking his cigarette.

In truth, Hiro could care less about being able to utilizing genjutsu as it wasn’t something that appealing to him as he was more interested in the way of the sword, mastering his lightning magic and his dojutsu, learning about genjutsu was the furthest thing on his mind well to be more precise the only reason he even thought about it was because Ivanna had brought it up and unfortunately he had no means of drowning or blocking out her horrid voice so he was forced to hear what she was saying when Klaus wasn’t speaking. Why is she still here anyways? He’d prefer having Tumu here drinking and making a fool of himself at this point. “Fine I’ll learn those first before I do anything crazy.” Hiro said before turning on his heels to face the Vampire. Looking at her made Hiro feel angry, why? Because she reminded him of that succubus. “Klaus-san… Any tips on combating erojutsu?” Hiro fould himself asking while glaring at Ivanna.

Ivanna would huff, while Klaus would close his eyes inhaling deeply and then opening his eyes and promptly exhaling out a large cloud of smoke as his thought about the question. Erojutsu, honestly no idea I know undead aren't as bothered as normal people just like those with barrier tiers can offset the type of Erojutsu which constantly deplete the seduction limit instead of just a once and done depletion. A Barrier+Strength Tier Chain maybe? Permanently suppressing your sex drive, no clue kid no clue. Klaus said after a while, he had never needed to combat Erojutsu in his lifespan and he was a manly man and would happily fornicate with any woman who wanted his D. So he didn't have any suggestions for that Ivanna on the other hand did have a suggestion but would instead puff out her cheeks and refuse to answer because Hiroshima was being mean to her.

Well he didn’t have barrier or strength tiers nor could he learn them and of course unlike Xan he wasn’t undead which is probably why he was in this predicament in the first place, would things be easier if he was a zombie like Xan? No, he would never willing turn himself into a zombie as there would be so much he would miss out on, like experiencing emotions, enjoying his favorite meals and so much more! Being a zombie was out of the question, but he needed means of nullifying all his weaknesses. “Looks like you want to say something Ivanna, it’s not like you to hold your tongue.” Hiro said calmly as he examined her posture and facial expressions. “I might regret asking this but do you have any ideas on how to combat erojutsu?” He asked as the scowl on his face slowly vanished.

This will only work because of you possessing past confrontations but if you regularly indulge in the Succubi or Incubi who have been turned into breeders you can gradually build up a resistance to Erojutsu. Just being in proximity with them for a long period of time can gradually offset their natural seduction aura and if you have a lot of sex you'll get a tolerance to sexual things. But you seem like a prude so you'll probably not do it. Ivanna said once she noticed that Hiro had adjusted his facial expression her pout fading away though she still was slightly put off. The genjutsu comment earlier was because, kenjutsu is cool and all but don't some kenjutsu techniques work well with genjutsu, I could of sworn those in the Denkou clan were capable of doing some tricky things with their swords which wasn't just physical based. Well at least the last Denkou I drank did, speaking of which is that something you guys do with your bodies or something because seriously she tasted positively electric.

Indulge in Incubi? Why the hell would he want to be violated by a bunch of guys? Was this chick serious? Hiro thought as he felt sick just by the thought of hanging around the Incubus den. “I’m not a prude…” Hiro muttered softly. He was just a thirteen year old boy for crying out loud! Why would he even been interested in sex at such an age? Sure he had already hit puberty and was a bit curious about girls, he even had his brothers’ old make out tactics novels stashed under his bed but he was more interested in training and getting stronger not shagging every girl in sight, though it would be nice to have a girlfriend one day and maybe a family. “Umm, it’s fine I guess like I said I don’t know much about my clan I’m just working off old scrolls and stuff and she probably tasted that way because of our high affinity towards lightning I guess.

"Oh makes sense. Well I've done my good deed for the day. Come on Klaus, the boss is here." Ivanna said stiffening before cocking her head to the left where about thirty feet away Xan was sitting on a tree branch watching them. Klaus would mumble something before walking away causing Ivanna to wave bye to Hiro and transform back into a bat to fly off after her comrade. Soon enough the two of them would exit the training grounds just leaving Hiroshima and Xan who didn't speak but would hop out of the tree and walk over to his apprentice. "I take it, they helped give you information on your problem. Seek them out whenever you wish, Ivanna specializes in genjutsu while Klaus is used to killing people who specialize in genjutsu. So, let us talk for a bit, tell me apprentice. Xan said pausing and looking uncomfortable and slightly lost.

"How are you feeling." Was it unexpected, yes Xan was not one to talk about feelings as he was dead he did not have feelings. But he realized that his apprentice was still alive and if he was to make him his heir he needed to be not only his mentor but his father. Apparently fathers were supposed to care for their offspring at least in regards to human family relationships and Xan was half human he understood empathy or he did prior to his death. So he would try and reach out if it would improve his apprentice's combat ability, what Hiro lacked was confidence it hampered his excecution. It was wise to be wary but only against those who one knows is stronger than them, those weaker should be crushed without hesitation and those the same level should be fought with intelligence and passion. Being overly cautious without trusting in one's skills is just as bad as charging in recklessly while overestimating their skills but it was more so Xan's fault than his apprentice. He had been sparring against him and thus Hiro did not have an accurate read on how skilled he was, perhaps he should take on a student pit them against each other so Hiro has a "rival".

It was a good deed indeed. Their sudden visit was quite informative and he would’ve been lying if he said he hadn’t learned anything from them both and even though the only reason they even gave him the time of day was due to orders from Xan, he was grateful that they had imparted their knowledge on to him and he would put what they had taught him to practice to avoid a repeat of that day. “Thank you Klaus and you too Ivanna, I’m in your debt.” He said but unfortunately they were already too far away to hear him but he meant it nevertheless and one day he would repay that debt.

Now with the man and the woman gone from the area that would leave Hiro alone with the last person he wanted to be around at this point, Xan. He didn’t know whether or not Xan was angry at him for losing to that Apprentice Knight as he was the hardest person in Pandora to read, but judging from the last time he had seen him, he had seemed quite disappointed in him and for good reason, maybe he was here to toss him aside like the other failures before him. “Y-Yeah they were pretty helpful, though Ivanna is kinda annoying but she seems cool enough.” Hiro admitted though she seemed like the type that would wander off on an important mission to do whatever she pleased and Klaus seemed liked a cool dude, he kind of reminded him of a friend he once had. “I-I-I’m doing fine…” Hiro said surprised at the sudden turn of conversation. He would take a step back before muttering. “I’m sorry….

"I see, if you are truly sorry then make sure it doesn't happen again. I will continue instructing you, if she was one who used the sword to fight and you lost then I would of killed you myself. I always hated genjutsu as a child to be honest. It is worse when you have no control over your chakra you can't cut off your chakra flow early on because you have no idea how to use it in the first place eventually I learned through trial and error to suppress my chakra signature fade into the background so I didn't appear as a threat. That way I could attack undetected, ninjutsu was easy to get around I could just dodge but genjutsu is the art of deception and until I died my only defense against it was to unlock my gates or kill them before I was trapped in it." Xan said staring off into the distance as he recollected his youth he would finish with his tale before regarding his apprentice once more.

"I did come to inform you that I will be taking on a student. While he is not in the same league as you my apprentice he knows this as well and thus I will routinely pitch you two against each other. Not only will it allow you to get used to opponents around your skill level it will also be a way to keep you sharp as if he ever defeats you it might risk your position as my apprentice." he said pausing to let it sink in and remaining silent for several moments. "It goes without saying what you can never let happen doesn't it."

It was interesting to know that Xan had once had some sort of weakness even though that would’ve been ages ago and even then it was probably more of nuisance than a weakness in his case. One thing Hiro had known for a fact was that if she had been a Kenjutsu user, he would’ve beaten her quite easily but the fact was that she wasn’t and he had lost even though he was hoping that it wouldn’t repeat if they did end up fight again, for his sake. But what they had taught him today surely will come in handy one day, if not against her it’ll be against the next genjutsu user.

I understand.” In truth he was stunned at the sudden announcement but then it had made sense after all as he would need a new student when Hiro hadn’t lived up to his expectations so it had made sense that he had taken up a new student just in case Hiro had failed, it was a win win for Xan. “I’ll do my best, I guess.” He said flatly before letting out a soft sigh.
