The Land of Ash, a place once littered with shinobi but after one massive invasion on the part of Carmen and a few select others, it was claimed in no time. The shinobi populace really didn't seem to have a method of dealing with immortals considering the only real clan that focused on it were the Ibwa, making the biggest threat to Carmen Samuigakure. However they willingly joined her, which made taking over easier than it should have been. And with the power of Samuigakure and the Ibwa immortals on her side, taking over the western part of the continent was as easy as creating her form of immortality. Naturally none of that has any significance to the talk which was about to occur but it was nice to remember the past year and its events.

Deeper in the Land of Ash, inside the walls of Jigokugakure, to the place where the Kage Mansion used to lie, which was replaced by a japenese style castle, colored entirely black, something Carmen had named Obsidian Castle. Going through the castles walls, each wall being able to slide open with ease, we will approach the one to the grand hall. This wall, which was really a door, held the emblem for Pandora, and opened up to a large room with a throne to the back. On that throne would be the red headed Vixen, who was considering a moniker change, Carmen Alexia Fushicho. Sitting upon her throne, she would be wearing a crimson red colored dress. Pressing against each bump and curve of her body, the dress only exposed the top of her cleavage, not exposing anything but also not leaving much to the imagination.

What Carmen had done was call in Xander Ibwa, one of her most loyal members, if not the most. Now this wasn't a real closed discussion, but only one person as specifically called, any others who joined in were free to. The reason for it, was to explain the next part of her plans. Now the next part didn't really involve him, rather it would cause her to be away for some time which she would need to place him in charge, in her time of absent. Thinking about it honestly, she could have done this in Samuigakure, it was closer to her destination. Oh well, she didn't really like the cold of that area so staying close to volcanoes seemed like the best idea. For now she would just have to wait for him to arrive before she was able to go off and make a god her bitch.

Xan Ibwa had come a long way since being a T. Jonin within the Samuigakure forces, he had risen to becoming a Jonin by betraying the members of his "team" exposing them to the cruel reality that was the code of the Shinobi. Kill or be killed, and had met perhaps the only person in the world that defied the code the most blunt way possible, Carmen. Whether it was, planned, fate or just chance that she had met him during those exams asking the question which changed his life he did not know and ultimately by now he didn't care. He was offered the chance to do what he did best, kill, and he willingly accepted the invitation to do such due to her spreading the range of people he could kill to all those mortal. After all he couldn't kill immortals, not yet anyways. So the grew honing his skills all the while perfecting his family style of kenjutsu and while doing so influenced his clan and opened their eyes to their true purpose.

Why simply limit themselves to a hidden village, sure they had built Samuigakure founded in Jashinism but eventually the message was lost and the carnage stopped they could kill but now it was focused...guided and no longer true with Jashin's teachings. They were kill to praise Jashin not to spare those who some mortal deemed unkillable no the only one who could not be killed were those worthy to be granted immortality. It was this which caused his clan to defect completely over to the side of Pandora with the rest of Samuigakure shortly after. Sure there were some stragglers, and the Toketsu while loyal preferred to go back to their roots of wandering the Polar Continent the Bishamon getting wind of their bitter rivals the Mikaboshi being in the Land of Madness and thus those who didn't stay went there in order to once again being the blood war between the two clans.

But those that didn't agree...Xan personally slaughtered sure some escaped but he would enjoy hunting them down and sacrificing them to Jashin-sama at a later date. For now Carmen called him and he answered. He hadn't changed his outfit for the occasion as their was little to no need too, with his gi flowing around him and his two blades Basilisk and Cockatrice on either side of his waist, his Samuigakure flak jacket zipped open, still being worn even though the village no longer stood. It was simply because he had yet to commission the construction of new armor for himself however.. eventually he would do so. You rang. Xan said his ever present scowl absent but it wasn't a smile, Xan never smiled, he was merely impassive and of course...ever vigilant.

Without ever having anything more worthwhile to do, Tumu would perform his daily drinking ritual before staggering after Xan silently, hardly making a sound despite his clumsy footing. Of course, he was hardly tracking or spying, his sensei would no doubt be well aware of him. This was a practice which has been taking place a lot lately, as entertainment was running thin, and considering Tumu was semi useless in this place. He was neither dead nor undying, the only thing really keeping him alive here is Xan's blessing as he appears to be some head hotshot, and of course his constantly pending cure to ageing process. It has been a few months now since he began his studies and by this point he may have even been finished, if not for this little distractions.

As Xan made his way through various doors, Tumu would simply phase through them, not bothering to manoeuvre himself enough to actually perform the simple task of sliding them open and closed, actually thats another thing really, he does have phase release, kinda...Meh, who cares, if they kick him out, they kick him out. He'd raise the brown paper bagged bottle up to his lips once more, only to realise that it had long since been drawn empty, causing him to shoot it with his gun, and throw it through the earth to avoid desecrating this night dark castle. "Wouldn wanna put it on tha floor." He would mutter to himself, before walking straight through the final wall into the throne room.

Carmen was a beauty as usual. Tumu having only actually seen her on a handful of occasions, was nothing more then mere fodder in her presence. Today he wore a typical get up mixture of native clothing, hand crafted leather straps and of course the rapier firmly at his side and the rifle blade across his back, looking almost like a pirate. Respectfully, he would place one hand across his chest, swinging the other to the side as he bowed like he had just performed a trick. Somehow, he was smart enough to remain silent for once. "Beautiful as always." Fucking idiot. This appeared to be a council between his sensei and this queen, so naturally, he would just sit at the back, legs crossed, hands in lap, his back half phased through a wall as he tried to lean on it, offering a quick look of curiosity towards Xan.

Ah Xan, as serious as always. She would speak a few seconds after him. He really didn't have emotions did he, Carmen was aware of the side effects of being undead and lack of emotions was not one of them. That must have been a personal choice of his to deplete himself of all those weaknesses called emotions. Carmen on the other hand would accept them, mainly the ones tethered to rage, love, greed, about the seven deadly sins thrown together with some destruction in there and Carmen's emotions were not hard to figure out. That was getting off topic, but she would stay off her true topic for another moment as she addressed another point. Actually before getting to that point, they would seem to have another visitor joining in on this conversation, Xan's apprentice Tumu. Since it appeared he would be sitting in the back throughout this talk, she would fancy him with a smile before moving onto what needed to be discussed.

First and foremost, I must commend you on obtaining both Samuigakure and the Land of Torment. With those positions claimed, we were able to pincer attack those in the Land of Shadows, then push them back to wherever they went. And with the power of Ibwa's immortality, it seemed like nobody knew how to deal with our forces. So as reward for your work, I am granting you Samuigakure. As its leader, you will answer to nobody but me and are allowed to do whatever you feel with it. Carmen was one who rewarded good work and loyalty, namely rewarding them with land rather than cheap possessions. This also gave people incentive to fight harder, if the land you were fighting for was actually yours, you wouldn't want some pissed off Samui-shinobi coming back and taking it without a fight now would you. That was also an incentive to work harder, with higher ranks came more territory until one ruled their entire land, answering only to Carmen at that point.

Even though we did win, we did just attack with an immortal army. Before the villages were not ready, but we both know that will not happen a second time. If they come back at us, they will most likely possess sealing techniques to shrink our numbers. I am delivering this message to everybody within our borders, and all the scholars we possess. To start research on anti-sealing techniques, so our immortals can fight without fear of being lost in some dimension. Carmen was not exempt from this either, just like all other immortals she was able to be sealed away and that would be a pain, especially after everything she had done. That was also just a side note, now was the real purpose of this meeting.

Now Xan the real reason for you being called here, is because I am seeking a power greater than all of us. A lustful smile would stretch across her face, as it was only due to certain events occurring that she could now do this. As you should be aware by now, the Summoning Realm has fused with ours, nobody is aware of how that happened at this point. Now within that realm, capable of being summoned into ours, lies a certain person. We all call it The Shinigami, the one person who no matter how much immortality we gain, can take it away in an instant. There it was again, that smile that said something dangerous, devious, and on the level of record breaking destruction was soon to come. The Shinigami is thought of as a god, and I am going to seal that god within myself and take his place as the new Shinigami. No matter how much power we obtain, there are still ways to defeat us, even being immortal, with the Shinigami's power we will become absolute and no matter how many shinobi they throw at us, it would mean nothing and lead to their slaughter... Carmen's ideals were not as small as taking over a few lands, wiping out the shinobi who lived in those lands, then ruling as a superpower. No, she wanted power to go unchallenged by the world and make it bow down before her with the flick of a finger. Luckily the Temple of the Shinigami, is within the Polar Continent and I will be making my way there to fight it. During my absence, you will be left in charge. That was the jist of everything, Carmen wanted to kill the Shinigami then take its power. However there was the risk of losing this battle in which case she would need to set some things in motion in case that happened.

Xan would notice Tumu following him, he didn't mind in all honesty he liked the company of his apprentice of course he didn't show it outwardly he had simply kept walking and spoke up. Carmen didn't seem to care about him so it wasn't that much of a problem, however the fact that Carmen had gifted him his former land was a plus. He absolutely hated this place, it was no offense to Carmen she had made the area nice and chaotic it was just to freaking hot, and Xan hated the heat it was merely a matter of preference and the fact that one rots quicker in the heat. Sure Xan didn't rot, or at least he didn't think he did but still growing up in Samuigakure made anywhere not having temperate climates absolutely unbearable. The Land of Ash though was like Xan's own personal hell, it was ironic Carmen a being of fire loved this place but he knew she wasn't all that happy on the Polar Continent whereas he was an undead immortal who hated this place but felt no more at home than in the freezing climate of the Land of Glaciers.

He would listen to what Carmen had to say his facial expression generally unchanging though he had a slight eyebrow raise at Carmen's current goal. If anyone were able to do it would be her, leaving him in charge though was expected as both of them knew that he was the most loyal, sure he wasn't the born leader type but more so the devoted follower who was capable enough on his own but lacked the driving force which all born leaders seem to possess naturally. Killing a God, what a novel idea. No matter the empire will be here when you get back, and thank you for giving me Samuigakure my clan will be pleased. In addition that project you asked of me, seeing as I'll be able to devote my time to Samuigakure I'll continue training the stealth division, Tumu here is learning how to infiltrate. The Shinobi have grown used to a blunt assault, so now I'll test their defenses against infiltration and if it is found lacking perhaps we can win this war by destroying them form the inside out. Xan said before his body would tense as he would place on of his hands on his neck before cracking it.

But more importantly once the Stealth Division is up and running I along with them will begin scouring the lands collecting bounties for funding our research. Not to mention it will reduce the funds flowing in for our enemies which is always a plus. I take it due to your absence you won't be able to look for others to fill the other positions, so until you get back I will do so in your stead. There are a couple of potential candidates but only the best, for you. Xan said as he referred to the five suns which was still developing in their bid to expand they hadn't had the time to fully organize, now however while building their strength for additional attacks it was the time to train and prepare for the war that was to come. Xan himself was eager though he didn't show it how he wished to cross blades with one of those so called "Blades of the Shogun or Reapers of War" he had a small desire to collect the weapons and keep them as war trophies. War trophies that he would keep on his person as every weapon was meant to be used, not hung up to fade into obscurity.

There is the issue of equipment however, it would seem we will need to acquire better tools as most of our weaponry and armor are left overs from what we looted from the various villages. While it isn't inferior, it is merely obsolete...perhaps that is the key to dealing with the bane to all immortals? Armor which is capable of nullifying the sealing arts... Xan said trailing off, he himself wasn't into seals after all he was incapable of much things it didn't make him a bad shinobi just less than knowledgeable about certain things like Fuinjutsu. He had learned early on that if you could behead someone before they could even detect their eminent danger then you had no need of worrying about dealing with pesky things such as fuinjutsu. It was one of the reasons he was so into training the stealth squad of immortals a lot of the troops seemed to get a big head due to their inability to die which was causing them to make stupid mistakes which would only result the Empire's downfall if it continued to occur. As a result he would be much stricter while Carmen was away train them into the ground, he had no need to be charismatic he would be blunt and brutal but most importantly just like Torment he would get results.

PostSubject: Re: A big leap forward, now for another leap (Pandora meet/discussion)    A big leap forward, now for another leap (Pandora meet/discussion) Icon_minitime29th July 2014, 12:03 pm

He may very well have looked uninterested, or at the very least stupid, but Tumu was listening intently, after all, this was most likely going to be some interesting stuff. Regardless, holding himself up was becoming more and more of a drag. Leaning himself forwards, he'd reach around to his back in order to pull the trigger of Sharp Shooter before it would change into its rifle form, before he'd fall back once more, this time connecting with the wall rather then passing through it. As Carmen shot him a smile, his heart dropped with glee, a small grim taking place from his lips. Ah, she noticed me. The queen smiled at me. I am unworthy. Back to the conversation at hand, the basic commemoration was taking its usual place, as most of these 'serious' meetings tend to take such a start. It was quite a surprise for Tumu as Xander defected from the village and joined a band of immortals, yet for some reason, he too followed.

Samuigakure huh? To think he was only just starting to adapt to the warm weather on this side of the world, but it is what it is. Its possible that this time, Tumu may even venture off on his own to see what he could come up with, after all, he was currently apart of this so called stealth division, so naturally, gathering intel was a certified requirement. Foreign taverns, bars and gambling dens were always a nice start. Samui was a strong strategic hold, however exiled from the main continent, if either side were attacks, transferring troops would take too long, but in saying that, once fortified, with the lands terrain, any attempts of attacking would be utterly stupid. But even so, with Xan running the land, one can only imagine how it would turn out, especially when the rules are his alone. Emotionless as he may pretend to be, one cannot deny his ability to comprehend a situation and act accordingly regardless of the repercussions.

The next two topics appeared to be the main reason behind all of this however. Anti-Sealing training for troops and soldiers, Anti-Sealing armour, all made to counter fuinjutsu specialists as it was no doubt the greatest weakness in terms of slandering the undead immortal army with reigned over these lands. Again, Tumu couldn't help but analyse and breakdown the motives and problems even while intoxicated, as his mind couldn't ever stop its productivity. Without having too much of a grasp beyond the basics of fuinjutsu, he of course wouldn't be capable of determining a probable fix besides exploring the road of pre-sealing. In any case, the real kicker was the intention to capture a god. Obviously, over the past year, his atheistic view on life has slowly depreciated with the discovery of his sensei's religion and immortality, but even so, this was extreme. If she is successful in finding this 'deity' Tumu will need to rethink his entire world.

Throughout these extended thinking pools, he'd reach down to his belt clutch and unclip a small tin bottle, flicking off the cap as he shook it over his mouth...uh huh, empty. Not a drop left. A sigh would escape his lips, the process of sobering up never truly a fun process. His mind would clear in and instant as he would stand, still leaning once upright. While he was here, may as well get some work done, right? He'd pull out a scroll from one of those straps across his chest, wrapping it around his arm to avoid having the chakra mess up in the sealing process, as well as make it less obvious to the two king pings further up, hardly making a sound as to not disturb them while they continued their talk. One by one, he'd pour large sums of chakra in, all the while looking focused on the conversation at bay. Once he had finished what he needed to do, and heard what he wished to hear, Tumu would silently wrap up the scroll and place it back in its place before clanking his old tattered slave band against against his Rapier's hilt to make his movement know. Not that the two masters wouldn't already be aware. Without liquor or need, there was no reason to continue the intrusion. "It appears as though I am needed by the barmaids. Xan-Sensei, Hime-Sama" And with that, he'd make his leave.

{Exit}

Both gaining revenue for Pandora while also taking it away from the shinobi, had to be the best idea since taking over these lands. With Xan on the job at that, there should be no real problems concerning the little money issue. Remember though, candidates are merely candidates. We will need to ensure they have the power to stand at the top. Carmen was not just talking about Xan's organization, but all the others which were forming under the name of Pandora. It was an idea to set some of the people who helped in taking over these nations at high positions, but that left other positions still empty. Either Carmen would have to take control over those organizations herself, or place a surrogate from other places within Pandora.

Xan was correct on the subject of equipment. As far as Carmen was concerned, the weapons from the hidden villages meant nothing to her and could be destroyed without her batting an eye. The need for better equipment would come and sealing arts nullifying would be perfect. However, there were no notable blacksmiths to create such armor. Stack that with pissing off half the continent with their takeover, Pandora would have to look carefully for somebody to create their armor. Send some scouts to the Land of Madness, and the Shogunate. I believe we can probably strike a deal with the shogun to offer them the shinobi who went against them in return for armor. Naturally the Dobutsu would be out, the shinobi were definitely out, and the new Epsilon Republic had some notion on no shinobi, which their Kinights were probably considered in the same category.

Now about your little apprentice. He's not immortal yet is he? For being Xan's apprentice, it was unusual that Tumu didn't possess his own kind of immortality yet. Carmen should have tested that with blowing a fireball at him, but killing him would prove nothing, and he was fun to have around for the most part, and his hidden techniques were useful on many levels. Fix that by the time I return. She would say, rising from her throne then walking past Xan out of the massive room. It was time for her departure to the Polar Continent, but first a stop in her room to gather lots of coats, that damn cold was never her friend.

Xan would roll his neck cracking he agreed with her of course, candidates were just that, and it would only be the truly strong which would rise above the rest to become the God's of Pandora. It would seem that Tumu had left earlier not that he minded his apprentice was allowed to go and come as he pleased but surely he realized that his time was running out sure enough Carmen would speak about Tumu being mortal and Xan would blink there was no need to answer, after all she had told him to fix it so shall it be done. He would nod before turning on his heel seeing as their conversation was over, he had said his peace she had said hers while Tumu was in the loop, scouts to the west continent hmm doubtful madness however could be fruitful. Regardless he would try both as the worst that could happen is that the scouts get kil- beat up and crawl their way back to him or they could be sealed away and as such he would give any scouts he sent a time limit to come back if not the next time they saw him he would make sure to put them in the ground as many times as needed.

I will be taking my leave then. Xan said eager to get back to Samuigakure but since Carmen was heading there anyways he could linger for a bit, he would make sure to inform Tumu that he should obtain his immortality by weeks end otherwise Xan would brand him with his immortality seal himself. After all he didn't not keep promises even those he didn't utter out loud. Thus if it didn't happen it would be a personal slight on his, and his families honor. Honor was ultimately all that Xan had in this worlds not the honor between right and wrong , no he was too horrible a person for that but rather the honor of never disgracing his family name. It would be a quite interesting couple of weeks while Carmen was off hitch-hiking to see and capture possibly kill th e shingami...
