| Xena would walk into the area before turning around to look at Mariah the proctor merely looking at the two of them and would wait until Mariah was also in position to start the match, assuming Mariah used soul sense she would see that Xena was a fire natured chakra nothing special but it explained her actions pretty much. Seeing as those with the fire affinity tended to be hot tempered, brash and somewhat uncouth it happened. The Proctor would signal for the match to begin and Xena would begin to blur into hand seals before using a Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique which hurtled towards Mariah at bullet release speed. - Spoiler:
Name: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C-rank Class: Offensive Range: Short-Mid
Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth in a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower which moves at Bullet Release speeds. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface.

| So apparently this girl was a user of fire release, that much not even needing Mariah's Soul Sense to see. Either way, the fight had begun straight away and Xena used a somewhat slow technique. Mariah shot to the side at Crashing Ground speeds, avoiding the attack as her slowing aura activated to curb Xena's speed. She then decided to actually start the pain. She quickly activated her next ability as she moved towards Xena. The girl would suddenly find the area around her getting heavier and actually painful. With her speed thoroughly curbed, Mariah pulled off a few hand seals and then held her hands out, all of a sudden... Nothing would happen, well at least not to normal eyes. In fact, Mariah had launched an orb of Gravity chakra towards Xena, moving at Crashing Ground speeds and invisible to the naked eye. Mariah wanted to end this quickly, hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to make this person give up. - Spoiler:
Name: Crushing Frost (Signature) Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B-Rank Class: Passive Range: Cryo Aura
Description: This passive was created by the mixing of Mariah's chakra and her Cryo Aura, generating this ability which causes the area that is being touched by her Cryo aura to have its gravity increased depending on what rank Mariah is. At AS, all enemy speeds are lowered by 1 tier unless they have strength equal to their speed. At Chunin all speeds are lowered by 2 tiers unless they have strength equal to their speed, at Hunter Nin/Med Nin all speeds are lowered by 3 tiers unless they have strength equal to their speed and finally at Sannin/Kage all tiers are lowered by 4 tiers unless they have strength equal to their speed. The area of effect changes depending on how many posts Cryo has been active for. 1-5 posts gives it a 10 feet radius, 6-10 gives it 15 feet and 10-20 gives it a 20 foot radius. Its range does not increase over this.
Name: Gravity Release: Forceful Prison Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C-S Rank (Requires chakra cost one above Mariah's rank) Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Cryo Radius
Description: This ability ties in with Mariah's Crushing Frost and indeed requires that jutsu to be able to use this. What it does is cause the gravity to increase even further while foes are in the Crushing Frost, causing their speed to drop by an extra rank and for them to take damage equal to Mariah's rank every post that they are within the radius as the Gravity crushes them.
Name: Field Crush (Signature) Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B-Rank Class: Offensive Range: Medium
Description: This technique was made to deal with those who focused upon speed over strength to shut them down in time for much larger or numerous techniques. With this, Mariah creates a large focused gravitic field on a single point before it spreads out and then starts to crush in, this field is about ten feet in radius from the point of spreading. On the first post it is activated the victim is frozen in place (The effect itself moves at Crashing Ground speeds and is invisible to the naked eye) no matter the speed they are moving at. Once done, the gravitic field expands and then starts to slowly crush in on the target. This requires B-Rank strength to move in and deals B-Rank damage per turn that the enemy is stuck in, if they die in the technique and their body falls limp, this jutsu will cause them to implode, leaving little to use. This requires a constant drain of B-Rank chakra per post to maintain or can be deactivated at will by crushing the field down, dealing B-Rank damage to the opponent. (As for the speed drop, B-Rank strength allows movement at any speed, C-Rank strength allows movement only if speed is Crashing Ground or above, D-Rank strenght allows movement only if Vacuum Release is possessed and S-Rank speed and above naturally can move anyway.)
Name: Crashing Ground Classification: Taijutsu Rank: B-rank Class: Supplementary Range: N/A
Description: A fully refined Swift Release. The wielder can move beyond god-like speed only showing their footsteps crashing against the ground. This move is said to only be used the second the wielder grips their hilt giving so they waste no time when they need to attack.

| Xena honestly didn't stand a chance once her fireball was dodged she prepared to launch another one however she found that her hand were moving slower than normal as if her whole was heavier, that was followed by the air itself getting heavier and she would grit her teeth in pain while using Kai thinking that this was a genjutsu. Unfortunately it wasn't and he would be hit head on by the finisher technique causing Xena to scream out in pain. I forfeit! she said and the proctor would clap his hands loudly to signal the end of the match.
Please release her from your techniques. Mariah Juryoku you proceed to Round 2, you will be assigned to a random 2 man squad from the other rooms, if there are none but there are single genin you will be drafted together to make a three man squad. The proctor said before waving Mariah off and would then walk to see if Xena needed medical attention. | |

| Once the sounds of forfeit came, Mariah just sighed softly and moved her hair backwards. "Bloody hell, you weren't all too good were you? I'm glad I fought you rather than allying with you," She scoffed and then released her techniques, thankfully stopping Field Crush from dealing anymore damage. Once done, she looked over her self and bit her lip before nodding. "Time to move on, I guess... Bye everyone," She smiled nervously.
She nodded and flutered onwards, moving out from the room and onwards to the next meeting area to see who she would be teamed with. Hopefully they'd be competent enough that she wouldn't be forced to carry them. Mariah held her head up high though and left, not even bothering to go back itno the room to tell anyone else, there wasn't anything to say to them besides.
