Name: Erasure of Iaido
Classification: Fighting Style
Rank: D-rank
Class: Offensive
Range: Self

Description: The Erasure of Iaido Kenjutsu fighting style is based on countering sensory techniques while the user is utilizing Iaido along with Chakra Suppression, Lack of Intent, and Focused Displacement. It revolves around a mastery of swordsmanship and the reading of movements to allow the user to mask their own movements based on the principles of these sensory techniques rendering them as well as their strikes "invisible". This concept can be used repeatedly and has 8 paths each dealing with a difference branch of sensory. These Paths are Displacement, Seismic, Echo, Olfactory, Ocular, Nervous, Living, Mind each corresponding to a specific sense in question.

Name: Displacement Aura Enhanced
Classification: Taijutsu (Cypher Only)
Rank:C-rank
Class:Passive
Range:Mid Range

Description: This technique stems from the amount of willpower people put into their blows, Cypher have learned to harness this willpower and translate it into a sort of an invisible physical aura which allows them to extend the range of their Taijutsu and Kenjutsu by 5 feet. Meaning if the blow seems like it didn't connect due to the opponent narrowly dodging it the blow will still hit them albeit at a 1-rank lower than the original damage simply due to the physical aura which envelops them in battle. This makes engaging in a physical battle with a Cypher a very high risk for amateurs in close ranged combat

Name: Iai Slicing
Classification:Kenjutsu (Cypher Only)
Rank:C-S rank
Class: Offensive
Range: Short Range

Description: Adhering to the principles of Iaidō, the user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword in order to cut the intended target, before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards. This technique is a powerful C-rank technique simply due to the speed in which it is preformed as it can slice a person moving at C-rank speed as if it was nothing. In addition when the user has speed tiers the damage is increased by 1-rank above the user's speed tiers, if they have reaction tiers above C-rank the speed of the opponent they can slice is increased to be equivalent with their reaction tiers.

Name: Boomerang Throw
Classification: Shurikenjutsu (Cypher Only)
Rank:C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range:Self

Description: The user throws the Shuriken putting a unique spin on it so that it makes a wide arc before returning back to the user. Shuriken thrown using this technique move at Bullet release speeds. In addition if used on large opponents it is possible to do twice the damage to them if the first hit lands as the second one will land as well.

Xan was currently going through various sword strikes in rapid succession each one he went through he would stealth his sword right after as he moved through the smooth controlled movements of Iaido, he had recently discovered that he was able to fine tune his Displacement Aura and increase its radius of effect before that he had merely relied on his own naturally customized utilization of the commonly known technique however it was restricted to increasing the distance of his Kenjutsu while his Displacement Aura using techniques remained the same and other types lacked the Aura that Cypher usually possessed in physical combat. It wasn't so much a drawback as it was something that set him apart from others, he thrived in physical combat it was only natural that he needed something to hone and perfect and this was the perfect chance of showcasing such skill.

He would continue going through the motions and would accelerate faster before throwing a shuriken and quickly passing it by causing it to split into two halves before those two hit the floor he was back again slicing both of them in half leaving for blades which fell to the ground. It was a useful exercise shuriken were cheap or at least the ones he used in this sort of practice were of low grade so they weren't a loss when used as target practice. He would throw two more shuriken both of them flying in the same direction at bullet release speeds and he would go through the motions yet again slicing them up into halves, one time, two time, three times before he increased the pace and continued slashing until there was nothing left to cut. He would smirk before being satisfied that he had accomplished what he set out to do, not only was he learning how to gauge distance and utilize his increased range of effect he was likewise learning how to cut moving targets while he himself was in motion something which would be extremely useful in the coming times.

He would stop before focusing his mind as he attempted to feel his senses and accurately measure the size of his displacement aura, previously when using Kenjutsu it measured about two feet, now it had increased to a whopping twelve feet and he was sure once he added on Displacement Rage it would increase to massive thirty-two feet, an amazing strike radius for a physical combatant like himself, things within that range were his for the taking. As the ability to strike opponents far away was the bane of every pure physical user most turned to projectiles and the like but him he would stick to what he knew, swordsmanship and use that to a terrifying degree of mastery in order to counter the other forces in the world. He would stop his focus before the world came into it's usual level of clarity and his frown would only become deeper as he began to think of a way to set himself further apart from the masses.

He knew what he wanted to specialize in, Assassination primarily, but he would like to likewise go with infiltration, the two mixed perfectly together and he knew that if he pushed himself he could make it work. He already knew how to drastically suppress his chakra signature so that his opponents thought a civilian was in the area rather than another shinobi and that would work very well for him in the long run as such an ability would be coveted by Taijutsu user's like himself. He was considering passing it on to his students if he ever decided to get a team but in order to become a Jonin..he would have to take missions and work hard.

I have a long way to go, but I will become strong for the sake of Samuigakure. If not that then I will become strong for my own sake so that I can inspire others to become powerful for the sake of our village. Xan thought to himself as he cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders before walking away from the training grounds, it was due time that he went on a mission and worked his way to his goal of becoming a Jonin.

Name: Past Confrontations
Classification: Taijutsu
Rank: D-rank
Class: Passive
Range: Self

Description: This trait is very useful as it relies on the user’s body ability to remember past experiences and adjust. This works exceptionally well against various things, if the user has survived being poisoned then their body will produce antibodies so poisons of that rank or lower will no longer affect them, if the user makes it out of a genjutsu then they are able to break out of genjutsus equal to that genjutsu’s rank or lower. This is a natural thing to all people but it can only be obtained by those who follow the all taijutsu fighting style and cannot even be copied by Ronin or dojutsu unless said person is all taijutsu.

Name: Gate of Healing
Classification: Kinjutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: The user opens the second of the Eight Gates receiving a boost in strength to A-rank levels as well as increasing the duration of his gate techniques by two, in addition unique to this gate their body feels temporarily re-energized ignoring any potential damage for 1 post before his body regains its senses causing them to feel the pain if they were attacked in that time frame.

Name: Second Reaction
Classification: Taijutsu
Rank:C-rank
Class:Supplementary
Range:N/A

Description: Cypher naturally have better reaction speed and have inbuilt senses which allow them to detect small changes and point out things that seem out of the ordinary. This sense of battle grants them the ability to react to C-rank speeds even if they don't possess sped tiers and detect opponents who are being hidden by C-rank hiding techniques. In addition when they do possess speed tiers it gives them the ability to react to speeds up to 1 rank above their own.

Name: Erasure of Iaido: Displacement Path
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: Xan has seen the means of predicting physical strikes revolving around the displaced movement within a fluid be it air or water and how it can be used to predict a strike before it lands utilizing wind displacement sensory techniques. This path revolves around the creation of vacuums through the use of high speeds of post Vacuum Release while utilizing Iaido. The user utilizes these vacuums to suck in the surrounding fluid at speeds equal to the rank of the technique while the user moves in between these vacuums to strike the opponent the displacement of air they give off hidden within the vacuums they create. This style requires the opponent to not need to breathe to remove the burden of having to inhale and exhale during the Kenjutsu strike within a Vacuum this becomes impossible and inhaling or exhaling will result in an explosion or implosion of the user's body due to a lack of differential pressure.

Name: Erasure of Iaido: Seismic Path
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: Xan has seen the means of predicting physical strikes revolving around the vibrations emitted due to contact on a surface be it ground or water and how it can be used to predict one's location post, during or before a physical strike utilizing vibration sensory techniques. This technique resolves around the production of false impact to divert the attention of the target to those vibrations while masking the user within one of them utilizing Xan's Displacement Aura. The user proceeds normally while utilizing Displacement Step utilizing the additional impressions to confuse the user on their location while they are hidden in plain sight among the impressions left by their movements. This style requires the user to know Displacement Step or have allies or other opponents in the vicinity.

Name: EOI: Displacement Path - Shinkū nami
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: B-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Mid

Description: This results in a horizontal slash while the user is standing upright before they enter the Shunpo Stance to deliver an actual strike coming from below the user's normal line of sight. The Vacuum sucks in air coming from around the strike which is within Xan's Displacement Aura masking his movements as the air/water is sucked in at crashing ground speeds. Meaning as long as he is moving at those speeds his movements are hidden, this movement is specific, if he moves slower he is pulled into the vacuum if he moves faster he displaces too much wind/water as his movements are unable to be hidden within it. This technique can likewise be utilized on opponents moving at below Crashing Ground speeds to suck them into the vacuum at Crashing Ground speeds. If one is not moving however they may utilize Strength tiers equal to the rank of this technique to hold themselves in place.

=========================

Xander was currently reading a book on swordsmanship and was researching how to better perfect his unique usage of the skill in battle, so far all that he had noticed was that most swordsmen didn't use the same stealthy approach that he did however this book did open him to the heavy intellectual approach when breaking down and understanding why Kenjutsu was such an effective combat style. He would continue reading and his frown remained on his face as he was deep in concentration in the middle of the Ibwa training grounds within it's own massive district. Ever since the Toketsu arrived the two had gotten along perfectly with Toketsu being a perfect compliment to the immortality of the Ibwa, admittedly the had initially felt the kick back from losing the Mikaboshi. However the Bishamon had proven their worth as the Mikaboshi's rivals and to the average Ibwa the bloodthirsty heretics were even better than those stone faced calm collected bastard Mikaboshi. He would turn a page and his eye brow would be raised just a bit as he began to read the words more carefully studying them to try and perfect his growing 8 style swordsmanship.

Kenjutsu techniques can be compared to the strategies of warfare, while batto-jutsu or kendo can be compared to shooting range techniques. The great swordsman Yoshimitsu has said, the swordsman relies on the conditions of the ground, light source, as well as the opponents' capabilities, before implementing a practical attack. The attack is not set on any particular weapon or move to capitulate, nor is there a predisposed target or trajectory. Any exposed part of the opponents body is a possible target and this has been seen in many fighting styles incorporating the use of kenjutsu.

To be effective, a kenjutsu strike/or counter-strike is a composition of several techniques: feigning, cutting, jabbing, thrusting, parrying or binding, footwork, choice of weapon, and even knowing the opponents weapon. It was mentioned that once Yoshimitsu realized the physics of the chain-and-sickle (kusarigama) he was then able to defeat it.
The feigning techniques are effective movements of the weapon, footwork, center of gravity, and even the use of killing intent. Applied effectively, the opponent is set-back one move, while creating an opening elsewhere. The feigning technique should be angled to allow a quick direct shot from this position. Only sufficient practice will perfect these techniques and teaching to convey the training of proper reflexes. There is not much time to think during a skirmish or battle. A fluent continuation of techniques must be deployed to manage even multiple opponents. One second per opponent is too long. Managing an army should be treated the same way. A practical understanding of the body and weapon is necessary to be able to dispatch a strike or counter strike whether standing, walking, or rolling around the ground (or whether an army is attacking or retreating). There is no time-out or ready position. It might be a fight under minimum visibility or total darkness. When striking range is reached, reflexes dictate the outcome.

Cutting, jabbing, and thrusting techniques must be all preceded by a feint. The defender can easily parry a strong attack, due to the telegraphing momentum behind the attacker's weapon. Therefore, a strong cutting technique can easily receive a deadly cut across the sword hand or forearm. The feigning movement should complement both double-sword, two-handed sword, or any weapon.

There are some strikes that do not require a preceding subterfuge. These are referred to as "quick strikes". They are done with two hands on the sword or with a sword in each hand. One hand is at the base of the tsuka (to provide longer reach) and the other hand is at the ridge of the blade to provide the initial force to flick the sword as quick as an arrow to hit the target. This could be done with the double sword, with one sword providing the push for the dispatch. These postures are hidden and the ready positions are implemented while switching hands or while changing steps. These flicking strikes can be administered from any angle (top, sides or below).

When parrying, always try to direct the point of the sword to the target. This minimizes the step needed to be able to counter-attack. Thus the opponent is at an immediate disadvantage. Also, using the quick strike at the opponent's sword hand or forearm will immediately incapacitate his attack before having to parry it. A simple rule — to keep the point of the sword pointed to the opponent or at within the area of the gate, while attempting to parry in all angles — will provide a good foundation for appropriate counter-maneuver reflexes.

Yoshimitsu said that the footwork shall be adapted to terrain and purpose. The correct stride is to be applied to whatever leverage is needed to effectively wield the weapon at hand. The choice of weapon and knowing the opponents' weapons is essential for the choice of right technique and strategy. Knowing the center of gravity of a weapon can help the assessment of its maneuverability and speed, as much as its effects on leverage and kinetic forces.

The use of the double-sword (one in each hand) can provide the ultimate control of the gate. The "gate", as referred to by Yoshimitsu, is the opening between two fighters. All attacks must go through this gate to reach the target from any angle. To close or disrupt the gate at the right moment is necessary to deflect incoming attacks. The double swords' ability to alternate and complement their trajectories provides a strong continuous flowing barricade as well as trapping and striking repetitions. Timing is essential in the use of this technique, and Yoshimitsu advised that the double-sword technique should be learned early on.
In the later stages of kenjutsu, one can win without the use of a blade by merely understanding the physics of sword work. A swordsman can resolve or win without having to fight (or without having to cut) — and gain followers instead. There is no individual or religion that started this. Any level-headed person would not want to maim or kill another human being. A true swordsman strives to attain well beyond cutting techniques: to serve his master or act on his own as a diplomat of fairness in the living hell.

The book was a good read and he was sure it would only help him in the long run as the things he encountered in his past always ended up making him more lethal in the long run. He would attribute some of it to his naturally attuned senses thank to his Zireh heritage, sure he had obtained some weakness from his human half but that would only correct itself in the long run. After all Iaido was a powerful line of kenjutsu it didn't matter if he couldn't dedicate himself to one of the styles of kenjutsu made famous by Samurai. That of course coupled with his already formidable reaction speed only put icing on the cake after all even though he lacked natural speed being able to see incoming things and thus adapt to said speeds through his own revolutionary Shunpo or through his fledgling gate use. Honestly either way it was something he had honed himself on and was currently attempting to become more proficient in so as to show the power of those who were incapable of using chakra.

Xander would close the book before he would make his way towards the Kage Tower, he was ready to take the mission now, after all it was about time he humored his escort, sure if he could be accompanied by another that would of been much better but he was afraid it would have to do for now. He wondered if it would be a nice safe journey, hopefully it would be, then again he really wouldn't care if it wasn't.

Name: Erasure of Iaido: Echo Path
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: Sound is the bane of every individual trying to make a name for themselves in the shinobi world, well in the true shinobi world none of that flashy chakra. Noise has always been seen as a rival, how to kill silently an art passed down from generation to generation each with their own take on means to counter it. Indeed Xan has read of the Sanbi's mastery over such a concept as Sound and while he can not hope to ever get to that level he has figured out a way to be devoid of it. Through the use of vacuums and motion he has managed to create techniques which halt the movement of sound. At it's base level all sound consists of sonic vibrations by moving the molecules within a medium, through his Master of Iaido he has learned how to create gaping vacuums in air and water. With nothing inside of a vacuum sound is effectively trapped within and due to energy being unable to be destroyed it is converted into heat.

Name: Erasure of Iaido: Ocular Path
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: Xan has learned how to deal with those who lack blind spots, while his Silent Killer technique and Lack of Intent technique are both highly effective, a person with no blind spots and multiple direction vision can try and circumvent his techniques. That is, unacceptable and as such he has learned a method of fighting to avoid sight in broad daylight. This style of swordsmanship mixes light reflection with deadly strikes using the very light one uses to see, to blind them. In darkness it switches completely being comprised of no movement and the utilization of his displacement aura as an extension of his blade using the opponents movements against them.

Name: Erasure of Iaido: Nervous Path
Classification: Kenjutsu/Taijutsu
Rank: C-rank
Class: Supplementary
Range: Self

Description: Pain is a tool, an Xan has learned how to cast it away and dish it out as he feels fit, a true assassin doesn't even allow his victims to feel the pain from his strikes and through the use of misdirection and intense speed Xan is able to do just that. When using the Iaido in the Nervous path Xan strikes twice the first being the initial cut and the second triggering a pressure effect which "seals" the wound dealt. The victim is cut so fast that they do not notice or rather their brain is unable to process the fact that they have been cut and due to the fact there is no visible wound they think all is well. Rather their wound is still there and the "sealing" is only a temporary fix eventually the pressure holding the wound together will dissipate and the wound will burst open.

Name: EOI: Echo Path - Haciéndose eco de incendio
Classification: Kenjutsu
Rank: B-rank
Class: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid

Description: This is a spinning slash which is initiated with a thrust before Xan spins rapidly creating a circular vacuum which isolates the sound which is trapped inside of it as long as said technique which is producing the sound or Xan is moving at Crashing ground speeds or below. This vacuum is created in a fixed location which is has a six feet radius and within Xan's displacement aura it can exist as a "pocket" forming an isolation within that radius of effect. This vacuum remains in place until it is either disrupted by a technique A-rank or above or Xan does a follow up thrust which results in the vacuum being diverted into a needle and being thrown at the victim which upon contact releases the formerly isolated sound as physical heat energy damage equal to the amount of sounds isolated through that way. Due to only affecting a limited range of techniques the damage caps out at B-rank however in the case of multiple sounds being isolated this stacks resulting in a higher damage output depending on the more noise made by things which are moving slow enough to succumb to the isolation effect.

----------------------------------------------

Xander had stumbled upon some sort of war game in the library which was commonly played by the visiting Scholars from Gakusha, apparently instead of combat they merely made a game of it in order to go through various strategies and dissect techniques and fighting styles. It was mere chance that he was able to obtain a booklet of one of such games and he was currently fascinated by the scholarly approach to combat. Apparently in this game their were various classes however the one which caught his eye out of the "base" or starter classes was the assassin as he wanted to see just how accurate this depiction was to the real thing.

One of the factors that make playing the Assassin class a high risk is the way they are engineered to do damage. Assassin classes usually have attacks that cause a high amount of burst damage, which is damage caused in a short amount of time with minimal effort, usually with a single or multiple weaker but consecutive attacks. Some Assassins are accompanied by buffs that greatly strengthens their attack power, making their burst damage even more deadly. However, an Assassin will most likely expend most of, if not all, of their stamina, chakra or any other alternate energy source in their attacks, usually rendering them useless until they regain their fuel. Also, Assassins have a chance of scoring something known as a "critical" hit, commonly known as "critting", which is when an attack made by the Assassin does significantly more damage than normal. In most War games, critical hits are scored based on a chance upon hit. The critical hit game mechanic varies from game to game and is usually implemented into every character class, but Assassins are usually given traits and abilities that make them the most likely to score critical hits, furthering their ability to deal out burst damage. Burst damage is regarded as a high risk method of damage dealing by some for the simple fact that it is less efficient than more steady melee classes (such as the Warrior). Also, some games will make several of the Assassin's abilities dependent on its critical hit chance, furthering its riskiness. Finally, in more rarer cases, the Assassin gains the ability to bypass a large portion or even all of the enemy's defensive stat, furthering their damage and even allows them to harm highly damage resistant enemies.

It made sense Assassin's were supposed to be silent but deadly, and that high damage output was to ensure that when they did hit, which wasn't often it would result in a definite kill, which was important. He would flip the page of the small book and continue reading it was interesting stuff after all and he already saw that he had incorporated some of these things into his own combat styles.

One major factor of the Assassin class is their ability to interrupt the enemy, or forcing the enemy to stop its current action and often rendering the enemy defenseless, or otherwise incapacitating the enemy. For example, in the game Guild Wars, the Assassin class is given a lot of techniques that either interrupt the opponent instantly or knock the opponent down, which is a form of interrupting (often referred to as KD). Usually, the Assassin continues to apply burst damage and degenerative damage while applying a KD when necessary. Also, in the game World of Warcraft, the Rogue class is given the ability to stun (often referred to as stunlocking). This method forces the Rogue to sacrifice its high damage dealing abilities for more sustained ones while being able to keep his/her opponent from ever retaliating. Many players see this as an unbalanced game mechanic, but most games allow the player being interrupted some type of method of retaliation against interrupting. Interrupting is often abbreviated as rupt., int., or inting.

A major stereotype of Assassins is that they are charged with being stealthy, or unseen and unheard. Usually, game mechanics use an Assassin's stealthiness as a form of engagement, allowing the Assassin to engage the target and cause damage before the enemy can realize it. This is often achieved by granting the Assassin abilities that allow them to be invisible or abilities that allow the Assassin to approach the target quickly. One form of this ability is shadowstepping, which is when the Assassin character is allowed to teleport directly to his enemy from a distance away, which is usually used to "shock and awe" his opponent and allows the Assassin to gain the upper hand before the enemy starts to retaliate. Also, the Assassin's stealthiness is used to perform thievery, espionage, or other acts of subterfuge in PvE modes.

Concealable weapons are typically weaker than their bulkier-counterparts (such as maces, hammers, two-handed swords, and regular longswords), but swing faster and allow the player to ambush or attack faster. Assassins are likely to be limited to using hidden blades, claws, daggers, and/or shortswords to qualify for most of its abilities, since it would cause a game imbalance otherwise. In some games, throwing knives may be used as projectiles and the Assassin may be able to dual wield such weapons. This fits well with the Assassin's stealthy nature - concealable weapons and the like being small, light and therefore easy to conceal and quick to draw - which is often stated or implied as the in-universe rationale for the Assassin's reliance on such weapons. Weapons like Katanas, on the other hand, are neither small nor concealable, and are typically included in this list only because of their widespread - though historically inaccurate - association with recent shinobi.

He would frown at the last sentence, Katana were used by Samurai but the book was right ever since history Shinobi was a lump name for those who were able to utilize chakra in combat rather than the stealthy assassins that they used to be. It was infuriating to someone like himself but what honestly could he really do about it. Nothing, he couldn't change it, they were too ingrained in the village system to rectify the mistakes of his ancestors, not to mention his own blood came from mixed lineage and even though he himself tried his best to adhere to the true Shinobi path, his blood had samurai taint in it. Regardless this new information was just what he needed to influence the creation of his new paths..

Name: Blood Consume
Classification: Kinjutsu
Rank: C rank
Class: Offensive
Range: Self

Description: The user of this technique has the ability to consume another's blood to gain their victims physical abilities for 5 posts (total) the amount of blood doesn't particularly matter whether its a drop or a quart its really up to the use.

Name: Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood
Classification: Kinjutsu
Rank: A - Rank
Class:Offensive
Range:Self

Description: After the initial ritual is completed which involves the user obtaining an opponents blood and ingesting it, the user's skin turns black with white markings that makes him look like a skeleton, a symbol of absolute death. He/she then draws Jashin's symbol on the ground in blood and stands in the center. This serves as the link between him and his victim. One the second part of the ritual is complete, the victim is linked with the user until he/she either steps or is forced out of the circle. Any kind of injury that the user inflicts upon themselves (or the injury they inflicted on the user) is reciprocated on her target, be it a mere scratch to a pierce in the heart. If the user is forced to step out of the circle, the link is broken and the victim is set free, but all the user has to do is to step back into the circle to reactivate the link.

Name: Curse Technique:Mass Death Controlling Possessed Blood
Classification: Kinjutsu
Rank: SS - Rank
Class:Offensive
Range:Self-Varies

Description:This technique is the perfected version of the original technique which allows the user to preform it on multiple victims as long as they have consumed their blood during the topic. After the initial ritual is completed which involves the user obtaining an opponents blood and ingesting it, the user's skin turns black with white markings that makes him look like a skeleton, a symbol of absolute death. Xan was reading in the Ibwa library as he finally figured it was time for him to embrace the teachings of his clan, he was about to undergo his transformation from being moral into being undead and figured he should at least gather some techniques which could only be utilized by those who were absent of life. To that end he had been frequenting the library attempting to learn all that he needed in order to develop his Living Path. He was currently reading the higher levels of the Voodoo Path and he was frowning slightly as though he had found interesting texts he was slightly upset that they took out the pleasure in fighting opponents, apparently his ancestors preferred a show to the heat of battle and it would seem he would have to create things which would build off of what he had discovered. His face would return to a neutral state before he would flip the page and continue reading.

Jashin is the god worshiped in Jashinism which is practiced throughout the Land of Glaciers. The only known devout followers are the members of the Ibwa Clan in fact it was for the worship of Jashin that the clan was founded in the first place. Jashin expects that all his followers — so named "Jashinists" — bring nothing less than utter destruction and death. A true Ibwa clan member will always pray to Jashin before a fight, asking for a "good kill." If he or shi is unsuccessful, or is not allowed to kill, they are expected to pray for forgiveness.

When undergoing a sacrifice, an Ibwa clan member of the Voodoo Branch changes appearance after ingesting his or her opponent's blood. His or her skin then turns black with white markings representing a skeleton, a symbol of absolute death. He or She draws Jashin's symbol on the ground in his own blood and stands in the centre. This symbol is an equilateral circumscribed triangle (an upside down triangle with a circle around it). Once his sacrificial ritual takes place, any kind of pain or injury that the Ibwa Clan member takes is also inflicted upon his sacrifice, be it a mere scratch or a pierce in the heart. However, this ritual can be broken if the Ibwa Clan member either steps or is forced out of the circle. This technique is called "Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood"

Xan wasn't the religious type though he did recognize Jashin as the one true God and that Shinigami was just a watered down interpretation of his Deity by those who did not understand his utter power. However to say he wasn't a true Jashin because he didn't sing his praises constantly and pray to him, he was offended. But then again the key to any Ibwa's power lie not within the religion but rather the power of their techniques, the time in which the deities actually gave their power to mere mortals was after all long past. As such he would skip ahead of the various doctrine and prayers which filled the text up to the part detailing the aforementioned technique.

Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood and it's multiple targeting variant Curse Technique: Mass Death Controlling Possessed Blood are the primary methods of killing of the Voodoo Path of the Ibwa Clan.  First, the clan member makes every effort to draw blood from his or her opponent and ingest it. Their skin then turns black with white markings which makes them look like a skeleton, a symbol of absolute death in the image of the one true god Jashin. The Clan member then draws Jashin's symbol on the ground in their blood and stands in the centre. This serves as the link between them and his victim.

Once this sacrificial ritual takes place, the victim is linked with the Ibwa Clan member until he or she either steps or is forced out of the circle. Any kind of injury that the ibwa clan member inflicts upon themselves (or the injury inflicted on him or her by others) is reciprocated on their target, be it a mere scratch to a pierce in the heart. If the clan member however, is forced to step out of the circle, the link is broken and the victim is set free, but all the user has to do is to step back into the circle to reactivate the link.

Xan would close the book before placing it back in the shelf where he took it from, before walking out of the library the techniques still weighing on his mind regardless he would still set out to preform them. It wasn't however part of his usual techniques so far he had trusted Kenjutsu would be enough to guide him through his shinobi career however now that that specific person had contacted him it would seem he would need to be stronger. Upon getting to the training ground he would spy one of his younger clan members training and would whistle so that their attention was obtained unlike him she was capable of feeling pain and and he knew she had already completed the immortality ritual. It was for those reasons that she was chosen, he would first tell her what he wanted to accomplish and she would nod asking only for him to teach her something in exchange to which he agreed. The experimentation process would begin and after 2 grueling hours of trial and error it would seem that he had gotten the technique to work just right judging by the agonizing screams she was giving out. He would take her to the Samuigakure hospital while checking himself in as well after all he needed to repair his body while she needed to recuperate from the multiple non fatal wounds which were now scattered around her body.

He would leave a small note telling her to come seek him out when she recovered, unlike him she would need more than just mystical palm to heal her as the mental scars from the pain would warrant a couple of days rest lest she develop some sort of psychosis. He hadn't known that piercing body parts would also pierce organs as he himself only had his brain and his reactor core which pumped the blood around his body. Sure he could die of blood loss but otherwise he was functional just like any other Cypher but apparently the technique was specific but general. It meant if he pierced his hand, her hand would be pierced but if he pierced under his ribcage where her kidneys were but was simply empty space for him she would sustain that injury in addition to the skin piercing one.

For the mass variant of the technique it would seem he would have to get a bit creative and as such he would find his way into the frozen prison first travelling outside of the village and onto the north of the Icy Mountains. There deep within the peaks was the prison and he would sign up for interrogation training as all Jonin were expected to go through, seeing as he only recently got promoted there were still some things that he did not fully comprehend about the nature of torture and thankfully he now had the perfect technique for it. He would be assigned those already condemned to death they were each given code words with the promise that if they did well they would have their execution date pushed back even longer. Sometimes the warden kept his end of the bargain sometimes.. he didn't regardless, however Xan did not care. He would walk in deciding that he wanted to torture them all at the same time and decided on doing something new.

He would draw blood from each of the four before sitting down across for them and asking if they wished to play a game. He would then state the rules, no kill spots but pick anywhere on Xan's body that they wish to hurt each one gets their own spot before things become interesting. The games would begin and over the course of an hour it got more and more excruciating as they began to torture themselves for him. Soon enough one of them gave up the code before the allotted two hours was up and as a reward Xan enabled kill shots however they decided they would kill him slowly as he had damned them all. Once he was finished he left, while the warden was smirking slight and mentioned that if he ever wanted a spot in the torture and interrogation corps that he could seek him out. Xan wouldn't smirk but likewise he didn't frown as perhaps one day he could actually see himself getting into that. Not of course here but perhaps when he joined up with that person maybe he could ask if he could be the one to torture their prisoners.

While he made his way back he would flip open his book once again reading the benefits of converting to Jashinism and why the Ibwa clan was so feared. Early in his life he had devoted himself to swordsmanship as his mothers side of the family the Isley's had devoted themselves for years but it was now that he finally decided to embrace the other half of his heritage.

An Ibwa Clan members main advantage is his inability to die from virtually all causes, with the exception of malnutrition. This is a result of extensive experimenting with the Jashin religion's various techniques which allowed them to develop their immortality which is now the main pre-requisite to become a true Ibwa clan and is likewise one of the most guarded secrets. The only well known fact about this immortality is that it requires a constant sacrifice to maintain the inability to die however when reverting back to being mortal as long as there are no existing wounds the Ibwa Clan member can stay alive. Their immortality allows them to survive numerous fatal injuries, and almost any form of dismemberment; they even retain the ability to speak after having their head cut off. They can likewise survive in areas devoid of air, as well as harsh temperatures which is why the Ibwa Clan went to settle in the land of Glaciers. Even though he or she is impervious to most physical attacks, as well as able to survive the injuries that actually get through to them, most Ibwa Clan members are still susceptible to pain, which they usually come to find pleasure in at the expense of their opponents. However over the past century more Ibwa clan members have been cross breeding with other races producing the most effective variant of the Ibwa Clan the Cypher-Ninja in which they possess not only the blood to utilize most of the techniques but their body is highly resistant to pain and only has two vital spots the brain and their reactor core. That coupled with immortality and no need for nutrition, air, makes them immortal killing machines, quite literally.

This particular variant is considered the most ideal for the Voodoo branch of the Ibwa Clan which involves inflicting high damage on one's own body in order to cripple, kill and incapacitate opponents who's blood has been tasted by them in battle. This is because apart from their immortality, Cypher/Ninja dual hybrid Ibwa Clan members possess a tremendous level of durability, stamina and endurance, in addition to fast reflexes and a mastery of weapon based combat. They are shown capable of enduring massive amounts of fatal injuries and battling for considerable periods of time without ever showing a sign of fatigue.

It is this weapons mastery that allows them to wield the signature weapons of the Ibwa clan massive three-bladed scythes which were meant for the sole purpose to drawing large amounts of blood from victims slashed by it rather than using it to outright kill. At the bottom of each is a long cable and often an Ibwa clan member trains with this weapon from a very young age so that it becomes part of them. In one case Stein Ibwa one of the most prominent members of the Ibwa clan was exceptionally skilled at wielding it, capable of deflecting a swarm of shuriken thrown at close-range. He was also reputed to have demonstrated tremendous aim and control of where and how it will strike, making it highly difficult for his opponents to predict the weapon's path. The unusual curvilinear trajectory that it took made it even more unpredictable, and Stein was shown to be capable of causing the scythe to swerve perpendicularly and unexpectedly at a target even though the scythe was quite far from him. However, during his assassination and the coup led by Ophelia Rose the cable was destroyed by an explosive tag attached to a kunai thrown by her and it is often said that the loss of the cable is what cost him his life as his attacks became a lot more predictable. It was obvious before her no one had ever managed to face Stein in combat and destroy his scythe and perhaps he had never tried to fight without the cable attached to it.

Moreover, this specific variant of the Ibwa Clan's, immortal body's durability is so great that it could withstand virtually any form of damage and still function properly, only dismemberment via cutting was seen to be able to incapacitate them due to needing to reattach limbs. As a result they are also invulnerable to injuries that should normally maim them despite them being immortal such as bones and muscle damages, this is due to the biology of a Cypher being able to function in high amounts of damage due to a lack of flesh based muscle fibers instead replaced with organic metal which is far more durable to wear and tear. Often they are seen piercing right through "bone" in order to incapacitate opponents who they have established a contract with. Their targets to whom the same damages were also inflicted due to The Ibwa clan member's curse usually are either rendered immobile or can hardly stand only limping by sheer willpower.

Ibwa Clan Voodoo path clan members are conditioned from a young age to have absolutely no moral restraints regarding the people they kill even more so than any of the other paths. This is due to their intense devotion to their religion and as such a true Ibwa Clan member will consider slaughter a religious calling, and often took considerable pleasure in making their opponents' deaths as painful as possible. This who have sacrificed over a hundred sacrifices are granted a ceremonial amulet which they wrap around their necks as a symbol of Jashin, and often it is used to pray to the one true god before battling, requesting a good kill, or (when he was not allowed to) for forgiveness. Given the requirements of the voodoo-like curse ritual, they are often quite willing to inflict pain and injuries on themselves, and showing a masochist side as they often openly relish the shared pain between them and the cursed victim. Despite this, it is rare for a Ibwa Clan member to enjoy pain that isn't self inflicted which is another conditioning ritual to ensure that they do not lose themselves when fighting tough opponents completely losing their self preservation instincts to become a pain addict.
