Taking Some Missions

Laxus stepped into the Kage Mansion, a massive stone building that looked more imposing and more formidable than any fortress Laxus had ever seen.  He dragged his hand across the yellow-brown sand-stone walls of the entranceway.  Could we get through it?  He asked the hive mind silently.  Not only can we get through it, but with Sylvia's ants working with my own, we could bring the entire building down around anyone unfortunate enough to be in it.  Laxus nodded, We'll have to fix that once I take the seat.  Ariagnae smirked, although Laxus couldn't see it, he heard it in her voice, Indeed we shall.  Walking away from the walls now, Laxus made his way deeper into the mansion and walked up to the secretary at the desk.  Hello I'd like to request a mission please.  Preferably an A or B, but most certainly a creature hunting mission.[/color]

The clerk, the secretary of the Kage, walked up to Laxus. He looked with some form of concern. One eyebrow raised. The clerk went to look at his clipboard with all of the mission requests the Kage has received over the past month. Mmkay I do, in fact I have a few hunting mission. However, I will be assigning you to a B-rank hunting mission. Kunchuu, Giadrome(alpha female), and Vespoid(s) are terrorizing people in the Rocky Plains in the Land of Graves. They are all creatures native to the Land of Graves. Some say there is something ill about them. Your mission is to hunt these animals down and find out what is wrong with them. If you want, you can bring them back to their respectful homes in the Desert Savannah and the Canyons(both of which are in the Land of Graves). Do you accept this mission? The clerk looked at Laxus, awaiting for a response.

Laxus raised an eyebrow in surprise, such an abundance of creatures for only a B-rank.  In fact, he had only ever heard of the Giardome.  The other two he remembered in passing but knew little to nothing about.  Still, a mission was a mission and he needed to gather some blood and tend to his garden.  With a nod Laxus said, Rocky Plains, three types of animals, terrorized people, got it.  I'll take it and I'll be back by nightfall.  Laxus took the scroll off the desk, turned around and exited the building.  Back by nightfall?  My, someone is a bit overconfident.  Ariagnae said with a tinge of disdain.  You're right, I am overconfident, because I have Sylvia to help me.  Laxus replied, quickly shutting Ariagnae up.

Laxus walked stepped into the Kage's mansion once again, this time not hesitating at the walls or entrance for any longer than it took his legs to carry him across the floor past him. He walked right over to the desk of the Kage's secretary and dropped the Giadrome's surprisingly clean, but still warm, head on it. Laxus had seen to it that every drop of blood was neatly stored in Scarlet Rose instead and not an ounce had been wasted. It's done, I need another mission. Give me something a little harder this time if you don't mind. Laxus said matter-of-factly. Careful watch you wish for house. Ariagnae cautioned.

The clerk was in the middle of painting her nails when Laxus entered the mansion. Seeing the boy with the body in his possession was disturbing. A soft sigh escaped her lips when he placed the body on her desk that she just finished cleaning. Rolling her eyes she would rummage through the files to see if there was a mission fit for his royal highness. Um...Lets see, there is an request for an exorcism at some church, it is said that the monks need help restraining the person, and there is border patrol, apparently unscrupulous people having been wandering in the lands. And that's about it. The woman would go back to painting her nails while she waited for the boy's answer.

Laxus's right eyebrow seemed to quiver as he fought back the desire to rip this woman a new one, The one here yesterday was a lot more informative. Maybe you could tell me where these take place? What rank they are? How much they pay? What exactly are we talking here? Laxus stopped and thought about it for a moment before shrugging with a sigh, releasing his anger, Okay just give me the location of border patrol and I'll take care of that. I'm not a huge fan of churches. Laxus had never actually been to church before, but for whatever reason he always got the strange feeling he'd burst into flames the second he entered one. It was just a feeling, but it was strong enough to keep him away.

Scoffing the girl would put down her nail polish. The location of this A rank mission is the Plateau, there are two C rank missing ninjas and one B rank, the B rank was from Hakagukare so he knows his way around there. Remove all threats to the Land of Graves. Is there anything else? She asked the question but really didn't plan on entertaining anymore questions.

Laxus nodded, some missing-nin, that was new. Three v. one weren't exactly odds he liked. Luckily for him, it was more like 3 v. 3000. Laxus pat his stomach where the bulk of his two hives resided, although they were both completely spread out through his body. He looked at the clerk and offered a weak smile, he wasn't really good at smiling, not in a pleasant way anyway, No, that will be all. Thank you very much for your help. With that, Laxus turned and headed towards the door. What's our next objective, Laxus-kun? Sylvia asked. Laxus simply replied, Off to border patrol. Ariagnae mumbled, Damn Paradoxians taking our jobs.

OOC: I don't remember the last mission I was on because it was MONTHS ago so we're just gonna ignore that other stuff.

Laxus stepped into the Kage's Mansion and yawned, having just woken up for the day. He had initially thought of going grocery shopping, as his apartment was in desperate need of some fresh food and his fridge was beginning to stink...a lot, but instead he had decided to look for a mission. It had been a little while since his last one, and he was itching to get out of the village for some time. He also realized he needed money to buy groceries, so it was mission time. So, here he was, with a stomach filled with ramen from the shop a block away, Laxus stepped up to the counter with a cool smile and asked simply, Good morning, any missions up for the taking? I'm looking for something in the B-A range. Something interesting hopefully, it's been awhile and I've gotten bored of life as of late.

As Laxus made his way into the office and came to the counter, he would be greeted by a woman with brown hair and green eyes. She gave him a warm smile as she did to all the shinobi who came in for missions. "One moment" she said as she set her drink down for a moment. Papers rustling could be heard behind the counter and then she pulled up a particular page and began reading it. "There are three decent missions that would be fitting for your needs." she said, pausing to take a drink. "The first is a B-rank, there have been a large amount of scorpion attacks in a small area on the outskirts of the village. The nest needs to be found and exterminated. She explained. "The second is another B-rank, a young lord needs to be escorted to Subarashii where he must undergo some business and then he needs to be escorted back here to Hakagakure." She paused again, taking a drink from her tea. "This last one is an A-rank, and is a very sensitive situation. You see, we need a representative of Haka to travel to a meeting we set up with a hostile tribe in the wasteland, we need to negotiate peace with them, as an all out war would bring unwanted casualties." She finished. "The choice is yours, just sign your name on the desired mission." she said, handing him three papers, one detailing each of the missions she just explained.

Laxus listened silently as the woman read off the different missions he could take. The scorpions would be easy enough, his ants could locate the nests and burn them to nothing, he wouldn't even have to lift a finger. There was no fun in that though. As for the second one, most civilians bugged him, particularly lords. Mix in the fact that it's a young one and he'd rather take out his own eye with a spoon before traveling somewhere with a brat high on his horse over his daddy's money. As the woman spoke about the last one, Laxus's ears physically piqued up. He listened closely before smiling in an...odd and even unnerving manner. If he managed to negotiate with the tribe, the mission would be passed and that would be that. Worst case scenario they didn't want peace and then he'd have plenty of fertilizer and new plants for his garden. It was a win win. Laxus snatched the paper from the woman's hand, biting his finger and signing in blood, not bothering with the pen on her table. Tribes it is, wish me luck. With that, he exited the building and headed for the main exit tunnel from the village.
