Description: Displacement and fires have caused several larger predators to move towards the villages, they're attacking civilians and village forces alike and we need someone to deal with them. The smaller packs are being led by the alpha variants of them this time, usually in groups of 3-4 with a single Alpha.
Boss: Various 'preys' with a single 'Drome' of the right type
Indra waited just beyond the village gate. Behind him, guards stood at attention but barely paid him any mind. It was a warm afternoon and the road into the village was sparsely populated with only the occasional merchant or messenger wandering by. The creatures Indra was to hunt hadn't ventured quite this close to the village...yet. They had become more and more aggressive during the rebuilding operations. Apparently, civilians weren't the only ones displaced due to the bijuu attack. The roads were always dangerous between villages, there wasn't much that could be done about that. However, it was a common understanding that the closer one traveled to a major village, the safer they were. In the past, creatures tended to avoid the highly trafficked areas, instead striking further out in the wastelands between. Lately, however, a pack had been regularly attacking travelers only a mile or so from the village. The village itself couldn't spare the manpower to extend guard patrols out that far, so it was deemed these creatures would need to be put down. They had already killed a merchant and his bodyguard, so this wasn't a task to be taken lightly. Indra checked the height of the sun, shielding his eyes, and realized that as per usual he had arrived too early. With a sigh, he kicked about a small pebble through the dirt and sand, waiting for his companion. - Indra's Information:

| Sid rode up to the gate of Kohai rather distractedly, headphones covering her ears and music blasting from the handy little device at her waist. It was relatively new invention that blended wiring and technology with some sealwork to allow for recorded sounds to be played through it, called a Talkno. Sid thought the name was a little stupid, as it was short for "Talk no Jutsu", but who listened to people talk on these things? Music was a way better use for it. Sid was dressed casually as ever, though the heels on her skates classed up the ensemble a bit. She made sure to wear nothing overly loose, as she remembered the Kohai sands getting into very unsavory places the last time she had visited. This time she was just going to be rangling some beasts, so she shouldn't run too much of a risk of that now. Sid rolled to a pause in front of Indra, though notably she stayed in motion on her skates "Yo." There was still a bit of awkwardness here for her, even now "Ready to get going?"- Sid's Info:

Description: "Movement Taught, Conserve Momentum"- The Kukinorite have been around for a very long time, since the Chakra Beasts roamed the planet, however they are rather stuck in their ways when it comes to how to utilize their Run. The last person to innovate within the clan didn't really improve upon their methods of Riding, which Sid found she could rectify. She combined the capabilities of her fighting style with her Trick Speed and Dash, resulting in her combining acrobatic movements into her Run. This D-Rank Speed+Strength Tier Chain changes how she builds up momentum, causing her speed to increase gradually yet constantly rather than in sudden bursts after a specified period of time as well as allowing her to utilize flips and spins to conserve her momentum while halting, whether voluntarily or forcibly, allowing her to continue moving at previous speeds. This method of utilizing her Trick Speed results in her starting at D-Rank- Speed when first building up her run, though she gathers 1 Tier Level in speed each post (total) she continues to move. Her flips/spins also occur at D-Rank+ Speeds and result in a tier level drop in speed rather than a complete loss of it when being halted.

| Long time, no see. Indra said with a slight smile as Sid approached. Whether by sheer happenstance or intelligent design, Indra and Sid had now been on several missions together over the last month. Yeah, let's get it started. The young man said, taking off at a brisk, but relaxed pace towards the last known sighting of the creatures. His right hand began to hurt as they walked and Indra looked down to realize that he had been digging his fingers into the palm. Confused, he shook the pain away and loosened his grip. A whisper of a memory flashed in his mind, the glint of steel and a splash of blood, but it was gone almost as quickly as it had appeared. Trying to distract himself, Indra turned to Sid, Been up to anything lately? Any new tricks? He noticed the Talk no Jutsu on her hip and cocked an eyebrow, curious, but unsure how to actually ask her about it. What the heck was that thing? - Spoiler:

| "I don't know about tricks, but I see you eyeing my Talkno." Sid smirked and wiggled the item a bit "Something knew cooked up my some smartass Rikigaku somewhere. It uses some seals and stuff to play music, though boring people use it to listen to like...talk shows and stuff" She shrugged and offered him the headphones to take a listen. If he did, he'd hear an upbeat track designed for dancing with similarly energetic vocals set to the music. Even if he didn't Sid would continue "It's expensive but it's supposed to be way better than the Dial-droids other Kukinorite who come back from sea use, so of course I got the best one. You should look into it, really convenient if you wanna listen to music while you train." Sid chuckled and mimed punching the air a few times. - Spoiler:

| Indra took the headphones with a nod of thanks, holding one up to his ear. Music bumped through the small speaker, loud enough to initially surprise Indra. On instinct, he pulled it away slightly, but returned the headphone to his ear and listened to a full minute of the music. He hadn't really listened to music all that often. Sure there were people who played in the street and sometimes restaurants had some sort of tune playing in the background, but he had never sought out the melodies. This music that Sid had playing immediately energized him, it gave an extra pep to his step and he found himself nodding his head in rhythm with the music. Huh, I actually might have to look into one of those. He said with genuine interest before handing the headphones back to Sid.
The pair continue their journey, arriving at the last known location of the pack several minutes later. The mission report mentioned that a messenger had seen the pack lounging in this area on his way through. They had noticed him but just watched him go. He got lucky I guess. Indra said as he began inspecting the surrounding sand dunes. That encounter had happened yesterday, but already the sand had been shifted by the wind. It made looking for any sort of tracks nearly impossible. | |

| Sid rolled up to and around the dunes, inspecting them lightly and skating carefully. She didn't really have many forms of sensory, a fact she really needed to correct, but she thought she might get lucky and see some tracks or something. After a moment of this, Sid circled around Indra with a slight smile "I have an idea. I'll be dumb but fun!" Without waiting for a response Sid returned to her circuit around the dunes, this time clapping loudly and screaming "HEY VELOCI-PUSSIES! WE'RE ENCROACHING ON YOUR TERRITORY!!!! WE'RE THICK AND JUICY AND- well I'm thick and juicy, Indra could use some cushion. No offense Indra- COME GET US!!!!" All the while she screamed, she had that same smile on her face. She hoped the voice of a singer with an ability that enhances their vocals would carry far enough to attract their quarry. - Spoiler:

| It'd take a bit of walking around before the pair of them actually managed to find what they were looking for. It started with some tufts of cloth and a shoe left half buried in one of the dunes then it followed to some old rust brown blood stains on the sand. When the shouting started from Sid, there was actually an echo in return; a series of strange whooping cries that bounced around the dunes and when the pair of them crested one of the larger dunes they'd finally see what they were up against. Four creatures, around three and a half feet tall at the shoulder, were crowded around a pair of corpses in the sand, picking at the bodies and occasionally letting out those strange whooping cries, each of the raptor beasts had small green-beige scales and head ridges as well as long fangs sticking out from their top jaws. The shouting had alerted them however, which meant that the element of surprise had been lost and the moment the two humans appeared over the dune, the Genprey split apart into the sand, ducking low and letting their scales blend them in with the dunes around them making them quite hard to pick out. Lastly, in the distance there were more whooping cries, though this one was far deeper and echoed much farther. - Techs:

Description: The Genprey's scales are designed to function within the desert environments that they are usually found within. Due to this as long as they aren't attacking and do not move faster than C-Rank speed they are able to become invisible to normal sight so long as they are within a desert environment. Alternate forms of sensory still works and anyone with reaction tiers of B-Rank or higher are able to see the shifting sections of sand that mark out the Genprey.

| Indra inspected the discarded shoe, noting the remaining stained sand and rock with a grimace. I don't know if that's such a- Indra started, but it was too late. He watched with mild horror while Sid screamed, and antagonized, the very creatures that had just killed at least two people. In fairness to Sid, he didn't have a better idea for how to find them. When Sid finished her yelling, Indra sighed, Like I was saying, I don't- The whooping began and he immediately fell silent, listening for the direction they originated from. That came from over there. Indra said pointing and taking off at a brisk jog, though he assumed Sid knew as well. The two crested the top of the dune to find a small pack of...something's, certainly not the creatures the report had given, sniffing the air and searching with beady, black eyes. Almost immediately, the pack split into two and took off into the dunes. Dibs on the right pair! Indra called back as he took off down the dune, half falling, half sliding through the sand. As Indra's pair took off into the dunes, he noticed how well they naturally camouflaged with the surrounding dunes. Whether it was the harsh light, sandy backdrop, or a combination of both, for a moment, Indra lost them altogether. Looking at the sand, however revealed the faintest of footprints and every so often he could pick out a glint of scales that didn't blend in with the rest of the sand. Gotcha. He said to himself before picking up his speed and bearing down on the fleeing duo. Coming in from an almost perpendicular angle, he neared the one on the right and placed his hand on the hilt of his sword. There! He said before slashing towards the meat of the creature's neck, a single quick draw to end it with efficiency. - Spoiler:

Description: This technique stems from the amount of willpower people put into their blows, Cypher have learned to harness this willpower and translate it into a sort of an invisible physical aura which allows them to extend the range of their Taijutsu and Kenjutsu by 5 feet. Meaning if the blow seems like it didn't connect due to the opponent narrowly dodging it the blow will still hit them albeit at a 1-rank lower than the original damage simply due to the physical aura which envelops them in battle. This makes engaging in a physical battle with a Cypher a very high risk for amateurs in close ranged combat.

Description: Adhering to the principles of Iaidō, the user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword in order to cut the intended target, before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards. This technique is a powerful C-rank technique simply due to the speed in which it is preformed as it can slice a person moving at C-rank speed as if it was nothing. In addition when the user has speed tiers the damage is increased by 1-rank above the user's speed tiers, if they have reaction tiers above C-rank the speed of the opponent they can slice is increased to be equivalent with their reaction tiers.

| Sid followed after Indra and watched as the creatures noticed their presence. Good, so her plan worked. But now they were splitting off and running in different directions, damn near perfectly camouflaged into the sands. She cursed to herself because unlike Indra, she couldn't easily track them. Again, she was lamenting her lack of sensory methods outside of her own two eyes, but she didn't get down on herself about it. On the contrary, she launched forwards down the dunes in the direction she saw her two Genpreys move in. They didn't seem to be moving fast before they disappeared, she was definitely faster now, so she moved in the direction and approximated how far they could travel. She then released a measured pulse of chakra into the air in something she never used: a Genjutsu. She aimed to paralyze them, and hopefully she'd be able to tell where they were once they stopped moving. - Spoiler:

| The two that Indra started to chase realised that they were being followed and a few calls barked between them. As he drew closer both of them stopped and turned. The one on the right being targeted by Indra lifted its head and then spat out a glob of glowing yellow spit rather than dodge Indra's attack. If he wanted to land the attack he'd have to tank the hit however there was a secret hidden in the spit that he might not know about if he had never fought Genprey before; there was a fairly potent paralysis venom within it. The other Genprey then crouched and leaped forwards, swinging out with both of its legs to try and slice up Indra's side, especially if he had been paralysed by the other Genprey's spit, this secondary attack was a bit faster coming in at B-Rank speeds but the secondary effect wasn't quite so dangerous for it. - Genprey Group 1:

Description: Genprey possess powerful dewclaws on their hind legs and are capable of leaping far distances in order to lash out with their claws to inflict some serious deep wounds. The Genprey doubles their movement for this post however it can only be used for this leap strike. The speed of this strike is based on what speed the Genprey uses to attack and deals C-Rank physical damage. If successfully struck, the victim also suffers 1 D-Rank of blood loss each PT.
-- On the other side, though Sid was a genius, she wasn't exactly an animal and sometimes they were hard to predict. It was entirely possible that she managed to get one of them but without being able to see she wouldn't be able to know for certain. For a few moments though nothing happened and then from behind her a glowing ball of yellow spit seemed to appear out of nowhere, though it did reveal the Genprey for a moment until it vanished back into the sands. There was no follow up attack however, so it would seem at least one Genprey had been frozen in place. Did she have any other tricks to try and find her foes? - Genprey Pack 2:

| Gross! Indra yelled as the spit washed across him at the same time his blade connected with the first Genprey's neck. His eyes darted to the second one, now airborne with claws lashing towards his side. However, as he turned to move, his muscles simply wouldn't obey. He stood over the first Genprey, its neck now severed and his sword held high in the air where his slash had ended, but that was it. He grit his teeth and tried to forcefully move himself, but nothing happened. The second Genprey crashed into him, slashing at his ribcage. The bandages he had wrapped himself in before the mission were shredded and at least one claw managed to get through to skin. Thankfully, he felt little more than an impact mark and the bandages had done their job. Come on body, move! Move! He said, though with his lips paralyze it came out as more of a whistling and humming of air between his teeth. A strangled cry for help really. - Spoiler:
Bandages that can withstand 5 D-ranks of damage now shredded. 1 C-rank = 6 D-ranks, so 1 D-rank of damage sustained by Indra?
Claiming hit on first Genprey because there's no mention of it moving to avoid the attack and I basically swung through the spit, taking the hit because Indra would have no way of knowing it had a paralytic property.
B-rank Endurance = I should be unparalyzed next post.

| Sid lamented her lack of extra sensory methods for a moment as the venom struck her back, feeling the toxin seep into her skin and cause her muscles to seize momentarily. But as much as this sucked, it proved a unique opportunity. She let her Genjutsu drop and then simply waited, not that she could do much else while paralyzed. When the two Genprey revealed themselves again, whether in preparation to attack her or trying to lay into her like a four course meal, she would send out another pulse in order to catch them both this time. If she were anyone else, she might be concerned with being left defenseless, but her body was hardier than most. I should be fine....probably.- Spoiler:

Sid is paralyzed for 1 P.T. due to B-Rank Endurance but she is going to fake paralysis based on how long it takes the Genprey to reveal themselves
Sid dropped Genjutsu binding on the one and as soon as Sid can perceive both she's gonna use it again on the both of them

Description: Sidonie's body is more acclimated towards taking punishment, though her Endurance tiers express this in a very different way than usual. Her ability to endure is focused more in his lungs and esophagus, detracting from the rest of her body so that she is capable of shrugging off the byproducts of chakra based techniques rather than the techniques themselves. With this she is capable of resisting the status effects of B-Rank or Below Chakra based techniques, though in return her lung capacity is increased drastically. She is capable of holding her breath for an additional +5 posts (total) when encountering techniques that aim to suffocate her, totaling 20 P.T.

| The first Genprey was furious that his brother had been slain by this stupid upright freak! After lashing out with its claws it crouched for a moment in front of Indra before leaping upwards, its claws lashed out and attempted to hook into his chest so that the Genprey could hold itself in place. Then its jaws snapped forward to try and close around Indra's throat. If it successfully managed to do so then it would rapidly swing its head back and forth, attempting to tear his throat out with its teeth, all of this occurring at B-Rank speeds. - Genprey Techs:

Description: When dealing with larger creatures, Genprey work together in order to target weak spots and wear the opponent down, usually with one Genprey distracting and applying paralysis and the other targeting vital locations. This is one such technique that Genprey use to target vital spots. By latching onto an opponent and closing their teeth around an opponent's throat the Genprey is capable of inflicting massive damage. This deals B-Rank physical damage and causes defense tiers to only half the damage rather than fully negate it. If the victim has no defense tiers at all they instead suffer 3 D-Ranks of bleeding each PT due to the savage attack.

This only deals D-Rank piercing physical damage but if the opponent doesn't possess a C-Rank or higher balancing technique then they are pulled to the ground, strength higher than the speed used can also be used but if the target is paralysed this doesn't work.

| Oh no. Ohnonono. Indra muttered as the second Genprey regarded the corpse of the first and then narrowed its gaze at him. While the creature did so, Indra began to regain feeling in his fingertips. It quickly spread, spreading to his hands and then down his arms. His right arm still held the blade up high, Genprey blood dripping from it as the second creature crouched and pounced. Indra's natural reaction allowed him to step back just as the paralysis wore off, sidestepping the creature's attack by less than an inch. He felt the air displace from the creature's claws and teeth before raising his second hand to the hilt of the sword. With mustered strength, he let out a yell as the Genprey's head snapped past him and brought the blade down in the same area he had targeted to slay the creature's kin. - Spoiler:
Paralysis wore off as Genprey attacked. Used B-rank reaction to dodge, then Kendo to outspeed and slash at the creature's neck with B-rank backed strength.

Description: One of the ancient styles of Kenjutsu which was rendered extinct during the Era of Warring States due to the shinobi of that time fearing the samurai who practiced this style. Unrefined Kendo is applicable to any sort of Kenjutsu as it is simply the art of swinging a blade with all of ones force from an elevated position and attack in one powerful motion typically with both hands on the hilt in order to cut through all which dare approach them. The speed of the swing is done with strength and yet so quick that depending on the spacing it can outspeed incoming kenjutsu techniques to finish drawing to intercept them before they reach the individual. Likewise due to using two hands rather than one it is incapable of being blocked unless by a parrying technique above the rank of the kenjutsu technique used alongside Kendo or if the opponent has Sam. Level strength tiers equal to the strength of the user's swing. To all others they either have their weapon cut through while being sliced apart without any pause or if their weapon is of high enough quality it can merely break while preventing them from sustaining the damage due to dispersing the force from the strike.

| "Shit! Time for Plan B!" Having stopped moving, Sid was just about equal in speed when it came to movement because she didn't have space to kick off her skates. However when it came to articulation, she was faster. Not by much, but by enough to matter. As the one at her front tried to gore her stomach open she grabbed its forelimb in a vice grip with both hands, gritting her teeth "Ready to go for a spin?" She knew it couldn't respond, but talking smack made her feel better about her drastic reduction in effectiveness against creatures that could conceal themselves. It was about this time that she noticed the other one's attempt to knock her off balance. Rather than send her toppling over, Sid had just moved her foot within the creature's grip, balancing easily on one foot. She changed the angle of the ankle it had in its mouth and pressed down hard, aiming to pin the creature in place as she wrenched the other off its feet, bringing it around in a wide arc and attempting to further slam the two Genprey together. - Spoiler:

Their strength grants them an unerring sense of balance, allowing their movements to carry them further normally as well as allowing them to move unhampered when others are trying to upend their footing. | The Genprey that was attacking Indra squealed in midair as it missed its target. Though the sound was swiftly cut off by a flash of steel. The Genprey dropped dead, now missing its head and for the moment it would seem that Indra was safe. Though that safety was not going to stick around for too much longer. A good sixty feet away, a group of creatures rose up over a dune. Three of them were very similar to the beast that Indra had just slain; Genprey, however each of them seemed to be moving in near perfect coordination with the last creature of the four beast group. The last one was similar in general appearance but much, much larger, standing almost ten feet tall at the shoulder and with a large head ridge and two very long fangs sticking out of its top jaw. When this bigger creature, a Gendrome, saw its slaughtered children it let out a horrific roar and immediately charged towards Indra. When it drew within about twenty feet it stopped and let out a call, the three Genprey stepping up beside their mother and all of them unleashed a ball of paralytic infused venom at the same time, in near perfect sync. - GenTechs:

Description: Gendrome are pack Alphas and due to this hunt with their pack, usually consisting if between three and seven Genprey. Some foes are too difficult to slay by one's self however and Gendrome have learned how to coordinate and control their Genprey lessers to perform powerful combination attacks and strike weakpoints, allowing them to fight against larger or more dangerous foes that alone they would be unable to do anything against alone. While in combat, a Gendrome is capable of activating this technique with up to seven Genprey at a time and as long as they are able to hear each other, the Genprey all gain an additional 2 Tier Levels to all of their tiers and are able to activate Genpack Combination techniques alongside the Gendrome.

Description: Through the use of Pack Coordination, the Gendrome and their Genprey set themselves up in a line and simultaneously fire off a series of Paralysis Spit techniques. The coordinated nature and the larger area covered makes it much harder to avoid all of the shots, requiring either a 2x movement modifier or higher alongside speed equal to the highest speed among the Paralysis Spits used or reaction tiers of B-Rank alongside speed higher than the highest speed among Paralysis Spits. Each Genprey after the first increase the tier level requirement by 1 Tier Level. If successfully struck, the total damage applied is always an A-Rank of Hybrid damage and uses the paralysis table of the most powerful Paralysis Spit used.
-- As for the two Genprey fighting against Sid, they certainly weren't expecting to get slammed into the ground and pinned in place and both of them squawked indignantly at the treatment they were receiving. They tried wiggling out of the grip but it was obvious that this creature was stronger than they were so they resorted to the next best thing... Biting the hell out of it. Although they couldn't break free of the pin, neither of them were immobilised by it and with their long raptor necks both of them started to bite at Sid, one chewing at her wrists and forearms, the other worrying its jaws back and forth against her ankle to try and rip up the skin. Although their bites hadn't worked last time, this time they made sure to dribble out some of their paralytic venom, if they could stop her from resisting after all they could break free of the grip. - GenTech 2:

Description: The venom of a Genprey actually stays active for some time even outside of the body, allowing them to do things such as spit it at people. However this can also be used for other purposes such as smearing their fangs or claws with it to impart some of the same effects. When this is done, the damage of their natural weapons changes, dealing 3 D-Ranks of Physical damage and 3 D-Ranks of Hybrid damage with each attack and if successfully struck, the opponent from their paralysis venom, lasting for some time based on their Endurance tiers. Additionally applications do not refresh the timer, instead any envenomed attacks against an already paralysed target increase their damage to 5 D Physical and 5 D Hybrid.

| Ah, that wasn't so bad. Indra said to himself as he flicked the blood from his blade and returned it to its sheathe. He inspected the corpses of the creatures, checking if there was anything useful to be salvaged from them and also beginning to wonder about Sid. He hadn't seen her since they broke off but was hoping she had just as easy of a time with her pack as he had. Hm? Indra mused to himself as movement over the next dune caught his attention and almost immediately his stomach sank. He playfully punched himself in the head several times for talking about how easy that had been. He had put bad juju out into the universe and as per usual the universe had bitch slapped him back to reality. He shook his head while walking up his own dune to meet the approaching creatures in the valley between, Stupid, stupid, stupid.When he looked upon the creatures again, both of his eyes had changed. His full-powered Raidengan and first-stage Kyougan were now activated and Indra simply felt stronger with them. He cracked his neck as the creatures descended their dune and watched them passively, a hand resting on the hilt of his sword. It was time to see if all that training had actually been worth it or simply a waste of time. Hmm, not this time. The blonde shinobi said with a smile before taking off at a run towards the Genprey and their mother. His feet pounded against the shifting sands as the creatures lined up and prepared their attack. Spit flew and Indra erupted in an explosion of lightning chakra. Each glob of spit sizzled and evaporated harmlessly as they impacted the armor that surrounded him. Indra's sword was at his side now, the tip dragging in the twisting, shifting sands as he neared the mother. He figured if he could get rid of their leader, perhaps the others would scatter and this could be over sooner rather than later. Then, stopping just a few feet before the larger Gendrome, Indra swung his sword in an upwards arc. A vacuum of displaced air ripped forward, coated in sand and loose rocks. If the creature was lucky, it would bisect her and she'd be dead before she even realized what had happened. - Spoiler:

Description: The user wraps their body in a layer of lightning chakra using chakra flow that, instead of being used offensively, is used to electrically stimulate the user's nervous system granting them increased perception when used with natural tiers to make them on par with samurai. The technique also speeds up neural synapses to react faster, and to push physical prowess to the absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed when used with natural tiers to make them on par with samurai. This mode, combined with taijutsu, allows the users to utilise nintaijutsu. When using the armour at full power, it causes the tips of the user's hair to spike up and her reflexes are said to be comparable to those with Muscle Tension, making it difficult even for the Kyougan to keep up with them. The Denkou Clan's mastery of this technique far exceeds other Lightning Release user's based due to their ocular prowess with an active Raidengan and affinity to the Lightning Release due to being of Denkou descent to maximize their use of this technique as they imbues her body with Lightning Release chakra. This refers to a Denkou Clan user's Lightning Release: Armor's activation duration equating the duration that they can keep their Raidengan active. This is dependent on the type of Raidengan the user possesses to determine the activation price of this technique, likewise due to surrounding their body with Lightning the user is encased in it requiring a S-rank Defense Piercing technique good against Lightning release to even damage them.

Description: Wakiten, or Surging Heaven, is a unique attack wherein the user takes an unorthodox stance with their blade held close to the ground. The user then charges forward towards their target before sweeping their blade upward in a wide arc. This technique deals damage equal to the user's Strength, however the purpose of this technique lay in the sweep itself not whether or not it lands. The user transfers all the momentum from their charge into their blade as they swing, the speed of the motion causing a vacuum to form and launch forwards at the user's target. When performed on solid ground, it creates a blade of air that deals Physical Wind Release Slicing Damage, when on loose or granular earth it deals Physical Earth Release Slicing Damage while when performed on water it deals Physical Water Release Slicing Damage, all equal to the Strength used, potentially allowing the user to deal multiple counts of damage. As the user grows more talented they will be capable of performing multiple slashes with a single use of the technique.

Meaning if the blow seems like it didn't connect due to the opponent narrowly dodging it the blow will still hit them albeit at a 1-rank lower than the original damage simply due to the physical aura which envelops them in battle. This makes engaging in a physical battle with a Cypher a very high risk for amateurs in close-ranged combat.

| "Oh no you don't, you little shits." Sid shifted her pins quickly as to avoid the gnashing fangs, then decided now was a good a time as any to end this and get back to Indra, especially upon hearing the roar of something that sounded much bigger than the Genprey. Sid raised her foot and then brought it down quickly on the neck of the Genprey pinned to the ground three times in quick succession. Each stomp drove the creature farther into the sands, and hopefully packed enough force to snap its neck. Sid then grabbed the other one at two points along its spine, at the base of its neck and at the base of its tail, raising it up before bringing it down hard upon her rising knee. - Spoiler:

Description: The second offensive strike of Wáṣerotapa, Stomp acts like a finisher which can be preformed in two ways the first is by using it on an opponent essentially stomping on their head or shoulder dealing C-rank physical damage in order to propel oneself upward into a backflip while simultaneously planting the opponent 2 feet into the ground unless they tense their body upon impact with C-rank strength. The second way is by stomping on a prone opponent who is laying on the ground dealing C-rank physical damage to them while causing them to essentially bounce off the ground into the air unless they tense their body right before impact with C-rank strength. In the case of the former if they opponent tenses their body the distance the user is propelled is double while when stomping on prone opponents they are dealt additional physical elemental damage due to smacking into the surface they are laying on (I.e the ground would deal D-rank physical earth release damage while a C-rank block of ice would deal C-rank physical ice release damage etc). Increased tiers only increases the lethality and use of this technique as it makes use of the user's tiers to increase the distance the user is propeled into the air after stomping on an opponent.

Description: The first offensive strike of Wáṣerotapa, Knee acts like an opener and a means to temporarily incapacitate opponents so as to buy enough time for more powerful kicks. The user brings their back leg upward aiming for either the head, stomach or crotch, each target being a weak-point this technique dealing C-rank physical damage. When striking the head if the opponent doesn't block or close their eyes with Reaction equal to the speed of the knee they are blinded for 1 post (Total). When striking the stomach if the opponent doesn't possess C-rank endurance tiers or do not require breathing they are left gasping for air wasting their next post due to sucking in air. When striking the crotch if the opponent crumples to their knees due to the pain unless they have Pain Tolerance (female only) in which case they remain prone for 2 posts (total) if female or 4 posts (total) if male due to the pain preventing them from moving their legs and risk aggravating the injury. If they do move before the duration is up they are experience C-rank physical pain each post (total) until they can recover.

| The Gendrome was ready for many things, it had been on many hunts in its days but seeing the heavy volley of spit just bounce off this accursed human and do absolutely nothing put a ripple of shock straight down its reptilian spine. The Gendrome attempted to dodge but it had been confused and the slash struck it straight in the neck, slicing through its throat and spraying its blood across the dunes. Its body slumped over and the Genprey around it screeched in fear and fled into the dunes. It would appear that the mission was complete, doubly so as Sidonie's stomps crushed the other Genprey underfoot, rendering them all dead. Yet a strange air hovered around the dunes that they stood in. There was something still lurking and it only took a few moments for it to reveal itself as a pair of voices split across the dunes. "What about these two? They seem suitably violent, do they not, little one?" The first voice was soft and singsong, though it held a strangely cold edge to it as though the speaker was only feigning the care in her voice. "I mean they do look pretty friendly even if covered in blood, maybe they'll listen to me." The second voice was clear and bright, although very young. Cresting the dunes came two figures. Were it not for the very youthful features of the taller woman they might have been mother and daughter. The first figure was tall, a hair over six feet, and dressed in a flowing white dress with a black cloak over it, the haft of some kind of pole-type weapon was visible across her back. Her features were neutral and her eyes a sharp, sharp blue. Tufts of white hair were visible under the hood of her cloak almost looking like feathers. The second figure was much shorter, around five feet in height, with medium length white hair of her own held back under a black silken headband. She was dressed in a black lolita style dress and her skin was almost unnaturally pale while her eyes were a piercing red. Her hands were clasped demurely in front of her and at a small prompting from the taller woman she stepped forwards towards Indra. "Greetings! You must be Shinobi! It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Serah, I was hoping to ask if you were happy about the state of your village? Do you think the Republic is a dangerous entity at all? What if you could put your strength and cunning to a greater cause?" Her voice was earnest and sweet, her eyes almost seeming to have an inner glow. - Taller Woman:

| Indra watched the Genprey scatter, their leader now bleeding into the dunes beneath his feet. He flicked blood from his blade and sheathed it, replacing it with a kunai from his back pocket, and squatted down to begin inspecting the carcass. While he carved through the flesh, movement caught his eye over the top of the Gendrome. He assumed the Genprey had simply regrouped and decided to test their luck against him and he was thankful that his armor was still active. Indra frowned with mild confusion as two figures crested the sand dunes and continued walking towards him. Hey Siiiiiiid, we've got company! Indra yelled over his shoulder in the general direction Sid had run off in. He returned his attention to the Gendrome carcass, continuing to cut and saw, salvaging anything that could be of use from this creature while keeping an eye on the approaching figures. Hundreds of possibilities rushed through his mind and he had no way to tell if these were friendlies or more trouble. It was best not to tip his hand though and continue acting nonchalant until they gave him a reason not to. The hum of his lightning release armor brought him comfort as the two females stopped their approach and seemed to confer with one another. Then, the smaller one stepped forward and spoke directly to him. The Republic a dangerous entity? Put his strength to a greater cause? So these were people outside of the Republic then and they were...recruiting? Indra thought back to his conversation with Seiko the other day, such a strange difference in tone but the same topic. He rose, a kunai in hand and his armor humming around him, looking between the two girls that had approached. Nice to meet you Serah, my name is Indra. I wasn't expecting any more company on this hunt, so please excuse my surprise. He looked the shorter girl over, the the tall one, for any signs of a village affiliation or even distinguishing markings to give him some indication of a clan or...something, really. He didn't have all of the clan trademark looks memorized, but Sid might know, or even someone back at the village if he described these two well enough. Does your friend have a name as well? He asked Serah politely, As for your questions, the Republic has its problems. I like to think of it as one big family. There will always be trouble and feuds, spats and pettiness, but at the end of the day, they're still family. He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword in a non-threatening, but intentional way at the end of his answer. Still, I have my own goals in life that need attending. So long as my pursuit of those goals doesn't directly harm the Republic, I'm always open to hearing out new ideas or people. He said with a shrug, hoping Sid was at least somewhere nearby in case this went south. The longer he studied these two, the more certain he was that they were, at the very least, bandits or even missing-nin. - Spoiler:
Idk how carving works anymore, but if we still have it, I carved that Gendrome. Carved it real good.

| Feeling the telltale snapping of bone beneath her hands and feet, Sid congratulated herself on a foe well slain. And if she stomped on one of the Genprey one more time for good measure, there was no one else around here to notice. She sighed and dropped down to remove her skates, tying them to her waist so that they hung loosely at her side. She didn't feel like riding back to the village, much preferring the feeling of the desert sands beneath her soles. She crested a dune to look down at the dead Gendrome and Indra just as the two strangers approached "Right here, Indra."She stared down at them from the dune for a moment, eyes narrowing at the haft behind the hitherto unnamed woman's back. They didn't seem threatening, but threats didn't always. That's what made their world so dangerous: enemies disguising themselves as friends. After Indra answered, she slid down the dune carefully, coming to a stop beside the blonde and taking a small step forward, placing herself between Indra and the two as though in a protective gesture "What he said, but I'm a bit less open to....outside ideas." She leveled a pointed look at the both of them "There are a lot of people out there who like to take advantage of Genin for some fucked up shit. What's your game?"- Spoiler:

| The two figures let the Shinobi talk, the smaller one rocking back and forth on her heels and humming quietly to herself. The smile never left her face at any point and once the two were done she turned to look at the other figure. The taller one shrugged and gently adjusted her cloak, revealing the old Kohai headband that was wrapped around her right thigh with the telltale slash through the center of it. "You can call me Silence, it will do for now." She hummed softly, her cloak falling back into place to hide the headband.
Serah for her part reached into a pouch and pulled out a much newer looking headband from Hakagakure with the symbol slashed out as well. "We are representatives of House Tulpa! We're here to see if you were cruel people and if you weren't, we wanted to see if you wanted to join a more righteous cause! We aim to crush... What was the word again?" She turned away to look at Silence.
"Dissidents and honourless curs, little one, remember our practices."
"Yeah those things! How do you feel about that? We know the Republic has a lot of those types of people and we want to cleanse it of its follies! Are you agreeable or is there any questions?" She asked with a smile, clasping her hands together, palms touching. Though those with heightened senses would hear a strange 'clink' sound as she done so.
Silence's eyes were sharp as she watched Indra and Sid, as though daring them to prove they were righteous enough to try and stop her and Serah. | |

| Indra raised an eyebrow when the taller one revealed her slashed Kohaigakure headband. Now that was certainly interesting. The one around his right arm seemed to itch for some strange reason. To his credit though, Indra held up his hands and did a little jazz hands wave, Oooh Silence, spooky. Though he tried to play it off, the tall one did unnerve him for some reason. The shorter one appeared to be simply childish in nature, a new recruit or trainee perhaps? Still, he and Sid weren't exactly normal children either, so it was best to not disregard that one simply for her demeanor. Continuing his charade, Indra scratched his head in a mock form of thinking before speaking to Sid, I don't personally know any dissidents or curs. What about you? He'd wait for Sid's response before saying to the two missing-nin, You know, what you're preaching really doesn't sound too bad. Very righteous, certainly the idea is worth following. He sighed dramatically, The problem is with this type of thing, everyone has a different definition of dissident or cur. In fact, to my eyes, the only dissidents I see are the ones with scratched-out forehead protectors. Isn't that odd? His grip tightened on the hilt of his blade. He wasn't looking for a fight, not here, not now, but he'd be damned if he wasn't ready should things take a turn for the worse. - Spoiler:

Her voice was cold and stony as she regarded Silence and Serah "And the only curs I know are those who leave only to return and harass innocent villagers and Genin." Sid felt the urge to adjust the sash around her waist, move the plate that proudly proclaimed Mahou citizen ship to the forefront, but that might show that she was on edge. And she was. She didn't know these missing nin, but if they were bold enough to just walk up to shinobi out on a mission... "Anyway, we've got a mission to complete, and it looks like you need to get little Serah home before her curfew, so we'll be seeing you." Despite them being words of departure, Sid's demeanor said they were more of a dismissal. The young woman also refused to turn away from the two strangers, planning to stare them down until they disappeared into the dunes. And while she really didn't want to fight, she felt herself tensing a bit in preparation to do just that. - Spoiler:

| There was an almost impercetible shift in Silence's stance as the two Shinobi spoke, a slight adjustment of one foot and a slight drift in motion, her fingers now touching the haft of the weapon on her back but she didn't move. Her expression didn't even shift the slightest bit, instead she gave a small nod. They had morals at least, they weren't easily swayed, Silence could respect that. Now she just had to see this through.
Serah however puffed up her cheeks and then stuck her tongue out at Indra and Sid. "Boo! You're all murderers and sheep anyway!" She declared with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest but as swiftly as any anger appeared it faded away. "That's fine though... You can leave now, me and uh... Silence, yeah... We were out for a walk and were looking for a place to have a picnic! I bet some Gendrome meat would be great! I've heard its real chewy!" She grinned brightly and went back to swaying on her heels.
This time however her gaze was solid steel, attempting to lock eyes with Indra. The vast majority of the warmth had drained from Serah's eyes and instead she was waiting to see who would make the first move. She wasn't going to hunt them down, she had given them permission to leave. Where did Indra and Sidonie stand on the line of brave and foolish? | |
