Considering that she was wearing her ANBU gear, the shinobi at the elevators and the gates didn't stop ANBU Lynx in the slightest, just letting her through hopefully along with her team. The alarms were still ringing but Kirai eventually slowed to a stop, letting electricity spark along the ground around her, revealing her current area. Everyone was shifting around strangely and she noticed that there were a lot fewer people here than there should be.

For once she actually cursed her blindness, at ranges like this she was useless, she couldn't see anything that was going on, she'd need someone else to be her eyes. Usually she had Lana for that but... Kirai was out on mission as ANBU, she didn't have Lana anywhere nearby.

Instead she turned to her fellow ANBU agents that had hopefully followed her into the village. "I don't have sight at this distance, I can't work out what's happening, I just hear the alarms and feel the shaking. Can someone tell me what the fuck is happening?" She called out to them, shouting over the noise that surrounded her on all sides.

It was possible it was an attack in which case she'd be called in to defend, she pulled out a few kunai in preparation for that but something seemed wrong... Some of the sounds that were reaching her sounded more beast like and they were LOUD. Was it something more than people that was attacking, had a God Beast or something similar broken through the defensive barriers and assaulted the village directly?

Kirai paled as she considered that, could she even fight what had attacked the village? She didn't want to die but equally she didn't want to disobey orders, if she was told to attack the thing... Would both options lead to death?

Anbu Lynx made it to the sector where a majority of Hakagakure’s civilians had been evacuated. Those who weren’t soo lucky laid lifeless under the rubble .The heat emanating from this sector was intense. The shinobi nearby were sweating profusely and quickly running out of energy. Lynx asked for assistance and within the next moment a fellow Anbu member appeared by her side. He’d let her know by just lightly squeezing her hand, just in case she wouldn’t have picked it up any other way.

“The four tailed beast, has infiltrated Hakagakure. This sector is covered in rubble and dead. Shinobi rush to aid the Gurekage in battle but the immense heat you’re feeling is preventing our forces from functioning at optimal capacity. Move ten feet back, now!” He’d leap back avoiding molten rock coming towards them at C-rank speeds. This rock wasn’t aimed at them but the chaos and fighting had made being hit as collateral damage a huge factor.

This Anbu member didn’t have full understanding of Lynx’s capabilities or to what extend her blindness went. So he was going to mainly try and guide her through voice and touch. “ I hope that you’re ok with verbal directions and descriptions of things happening further away. Either way, we must hurry; commander has ordered us to man the hoses”.

He’d pass a deflated hose by her hand. “Our suiton users are growing tired. We need to cool the area. We must lock these hoses to the water wells towards the south. It is crucial that we do not fail.” He’d then place the coiled up hose on Lynx’s shoulder while he had one on his as well. “Let’s go!” He’d shout and take off towards the south end of the sector. All around Lynx was shinobi screaming and bodies dropping. She could hurry over to her destination, abandon her mission, or figure something else out. Whichever she chose it’d have to be quick because those in the area were fading fast.

The moment someone started to move towards her, Lynx snapped her head around to look at him, pursing her lips and listening to him talk. Panic started to well up in the back of her mind but she hurriedly pushed it away, taking a deep breath of the dry air around her. The Four Tailed Beast being here would make a lot of sense with what was happening and she was honestly so glad that she wasn't being called on to stop it.

When the lava dripping across hit the area of her Spark Surge, highlighting it, Kirai was already moving out of the way. "If you point me in a direction, I should be able to find the well. Anything further than maybe a hundred feet away and I'm fucking lost, I've got some tricks to let me find my way around but they uh... They don't go too far." She said, scratching the back of her head before turning towards where the well was and launching out a beacon to bathe the area in lightning so she could actually see it.

With that done she took off at C-Rank speeds with the hose around her body, one hand clutching it to make sure it didn't fall off. She would prove herself useful here no matter what. Once close enough to a building or wall, she would leap up and adhere to it with chakra flow, sprinting across the wall to where she needed to go. She might not be able to fight but she was agile, she was fairly quick and she was resourceful, those would all come in handy here.

Various lava rocks soared through the air to crash and burn the surrounding land. The situation was as if a nearby volcano had erupted yet it was much worse. The anbu member she was paired with , would gesture towards the south and then begin to move. The chaotic situation made it very challenging for the two to get from point A to point B. As they’d head south of the bijuus focus, they’d find that this was the case for many as well as a young merchant boy. The wreckage of his father's carriage and most of their cargo lay around the area along with the beasts that pulled them. Making the scene at first glance just another couple of unlucky fatalities.

Groggy at first, he would soon snap himself awake to the intense heat and flames around him. Naturally he would succumb to panic then rush himself to stand and get to safety however his body would fail him as he winced in pain before stumbling to the ground. A chunk of wood was embedded deep into his right leg thus impairing him. With his first method of survival out he went for the next best thing. "Help! Somebody, please!" The screams would cause the body of his father nearby to stir only a little, his left arm crushed by a heated rock and blood dripping from his head.As Anbu Lynx and her fellow anbu made their way to the water wells, the screams for help could be heard. However, it would be up to Lynx if she wanted to continue on or help out the young man and his father.

The decision was made quickly and simply in Lynx's mind; she couldn't save everyone. It hurt to accept that and it hurt more to actually put it into practice but she was ANBU, she had more important jobs to fulfill just now, there were others in the rescue crews that would work to save people like that. Besides, her skillset didn't lend itself very well towards rescuing people. She knew they were justifications and nothing more, ways to avoid having to actually worry and think about it but she pushed those thoughts aside, she had a job to do.

She continued moving towards the well, running along walls or hopping between rubble where she had to in order to dodge the lava. Once she was there, she would quickly send out a pulse of electricity to highlight the well properly so that she could crouch down, unship the hose from her shoulders and connect it to the well. If she was able to do that, she'd look around for her fellow ANBU and see what she had to do next, she was still a new member to the group after all.

Doing so was the right decision one needed to make to ensure the success of the mission as not stopping to rescue some civilians allowed ANBU Lynx to get to her destination and connect the hose in time to make a difference as the temperature within Hakagakure would experience a heat surge. This was due to the battle between the Yonbi and the Gurekage was heating up with earth being converted into magma before being directed in order to assault various structures in a bid to kill those ANBU who were supporting their kage in the defense of the village. The ANBU who were stationed where Lynx was would all turn on their nozzles and would direct the gouts of water towards the hotspot areas in order to not only cool down the magma but use the scalding steam to prevent the Yonbi from breaching further into the village.

ANBU Lynx could join in this endeavor or she could do what some other ANBU were doing and try to get closer towards the actual battle so as to reinforce their comrades in addition to the Gurekage. Ultimately it was up to her as she didn't seem to have any other instructions for the time being but it was obvious that those ANBU manning the hoses were starting to irritate the Bijuu so it was only a matter of time before it decided to retaliate. Either way it seemed now that the ANBU had secured the tanks, genin were arriving to drop off scrolls near the water reservoirs with Elite Genin staying behind in order to unseal them. Each scroll contained water which was being used to refill individual tanks with the supply having been built over time by those with water affinities within the Logistics and Support Division of the village in case of a fire, as such the supply line of genin were also crucial to combating the spread of lava within the village. Finally it seemed that some of the ANBU who had been rushing towards the Yonbi would instead choose to stand on tall buildings before making hand seals and using wind techniques in order to direct the fumes from the molten rock as well as the steam weaponizing it in the process of clearing the streets to send it towards the Bijuu as smoke inhalation and scalding were far more dangerous to their civilians and fellow shinobi in comparison to the Yonbi itself but any little bit counted.

There were a lot of things going on at once and all of them culminated in a single fact; Lynx was pretty much useless here. She didn't have the defensive abilities to take on the Yonbi's attacks, she wasn't proficient in wind release in order to move things around, she wasn't trained enough to hit hard enough to bother the Bijuu in any way whatsoever so that left her with really only one option.

She sent out another burst of static electricity and fired off a couple of beacons to get the full layout of her surroundings which she was happy about, she could see somewhat. Unfortunately she couldn't really see fire but she could see its effects as wood crumbled and stone cracked. She also knew where the rest of the hose wielders were firing and started to direct her hose towards some of those same locations, hosing down the places that the damage from the fire seemed worst in order to protect the area around her. She wasn't even really aware of the Yonbi's annoyance, some things were just... Beyond her current sight.
