Valhalla's Call [The Fading River]

It had taken a while for Summer to decide what to wear, it wasn't that she had a lot of options, it was that she simply didn't want to accept it as reality. Getting dressed in funeral attire would cement it in her mind and she wanted to hold off on that. Was it her fault that Huginn died in the end? Was there something more that she could have done to protect him? She imagined not. It was a Bijuu, she was lucky that there were so few deaths, they were walking beasts of annihilation, spoken of in hushed myths as though saying that they existed would draw them to you. She ran her fingers through her hair, wincing at the pain deep inside her body. They'd said it wasn't physical, she hadn't technically ripped anything, the damage she had sustained was something deeper, within her spirit or at least her spiritual energy. She flicked her hair aside and finally got dressed, a simple black dress and a black scarf. She then pulled out a long piece of black cloth and wrapped it around her head like a forehead protector, tilting it to cover her kyougan.


She pulled on her boots and then reverse summoned herself to her Crows. The process was strange every time she done it, a warping of her body as her location changed in an instant. She appeared standing next to Yatigarasu. She knew this place was dangerous and she had brought Glimmer and Vexos with her on her left and right hips respectively. They were standing upon a hill, overlooking a field of crows of varying sizes leading down to the bank of a massive river apparently made of mist. Upon this bank sat a mostly completed circular nest and a large body covered with sleek black cloth. Summer pursed her lips before looking up to Yatigarasu, the massive crow's body leaving her in shadow.

"He died valiantly. It was one hell of a fight. How are the others taking the loss, Konungr Yatigarasu? Hersier Odin and Jarl Muninn especially." She murmured, giving them their true titles due to their places in the contract. She knew Odin would be angry but she didn't know if Odin would be angry at her or at the Gobi. Muninn... She had no clue. The young girl, soon to be Abisukage, sighed and shook her head. "Valhalla won't have a single damned clue what's about to hit them when Hersier Huginn gets there." She smiled slightly at that, waiting for Yati's call to move down towards the nest to complete the rituals.
