Laughing Jack was free to do as he pleased within his town of Kaosgakure. Oh how he loved to see the sights and frights within this place. Everywhere he went there was something fun to see and do. Today he was hopping along the rooftops of his normal route back to his house, trying to beat his previous speed. He was hoping to find someone to play with but it seemed the streets were pretty empty at this time. What a shame that all the kids were in school and the adults at work. He felt lonely wandering the town on his own.

Laughing Jack sat upon the top of his house, a lollipop in his mouth as he watched the hustle and bustle of the daily life within Kaosgakure. He began to hum to himself as he tried picking out today's playmate. Who oh who would dear little Jack play with today? "All around the carnival town, the clown chased a child," he would sing to himself in a light voice as he spotted a couple kids playing tag in the nearby park. A wide grin appeared on his face as he watched the children playing, running around and crying out in laughter. Oh what fun. "The blood was shed, the soul bled and bled and bled." Jack stood up and hopped a bit closer, eyeing one of the kids that was close to the alley. He watched in sadness, however, as the kid moved away and back towards the middle trying to escape the 'it' child.

"Pop! Goes the Weasel..." He would say in disdain as he watched the game finish up with some tired kids. He sat back down upon his roof as he watched the kids taking a break and he continued to sing his song in a low tone to himself. "A treat, one or two, a sweat treat for another. That's what I normally do. Pop! Goes the Weasel." His eyes perked back up as he saw the kids get up once again, apparently starting a new game of hide and seek. The smile once again returned to the dark clowns face as he watched to see where each and every little playmate went. Sadly, none had ventured from the park, but that didn't end his hopes.

"Hanging corpses filled with treats, you begin to quiver. Haunted dreams and twisted frights, I begin to chuckle. Pop! Goes the Weasel." After a few turns of back and forth hide and seek eventually Jack saw his turn coming. One of the kids was trying to figure out where to hide but every good place within the park was taken. Apparently this kid hated losing, having thrown a small tantrum earlier when he got caught quickly. Laughing Jack eyed him carefully as the kid seemed to struggle with the decision of hiding in the alley. They were supposed to stay in the park but he wanted to win this time. The alley would be a little unthinkable since they weren't supposed to go there. Maybe he could get away with it, what danger could it hold? That was what Jack surmised the boy to be thinking.

A grin too large for Jack's face appeared and his eyes widened with glee as he watched the boy take the plunge into the alley. Oh what fun, what fun, what fun! Today Jack would get to play with a new friend! It had been awhile as the disappearance of children was somewhat noticed, so it had become more and more difficult to make new friends, but now was his best chance. Jack moved over to the roof near where the kid was hiding and sang his song a little more after jumping down. "Child dear do not run, you know I will find you. Let's play a game of hide and seek. Pop! Goes the Weasel!" he would say as his hands shot out and grasped the child by the throat before the kid could scream after turning around at Jack's song.

Jack held his finger up to his lips to hush the boy, smiling with bright eyes into the kid's own eyes. Jack jumped back up to the roof with the child firmly in his grasp, the boy gasping for air. Jack quickly took the child back to his house through the attic. Luckily this was his safe place that the mummy didn't know about. He had created this attic himself and soundproofed it so that they would not disturb Mummy while they played. After shutting the window and locking the metal shades he placed the child down on a bed and cuffed his hands and feet before letting go of the child's throat. The child screamed and struggled, begging to be set free, but all Jack did was smile and walk over to a table full of different carpentry tools. He seemed to ponder over what to begin with first.

After a minute passed and the child's throat tore from screaming, tears flowing down his face, Jack had finally found his first toy to play with his new best friend with. He walked back over to the boy and chuckled as he held up a large pair of plyers. The boy's eyes widened even more out of fright as he watched Jack take hold of his hand and clamp the plyer's onto the boy's fingernails. The boy struggled with all his might but could not shake loose from Jack no matter how hard he tried. Finally Jack pulled up and out in one large yank, cackling all the while, and ripped the boy's nail from his index finger. The boy let out a ear wrenching scream which just caused Jack to smile and laugh even more. This was a very, very fun game after all. Jack went to work on the child's middle finger, but as he pulled the nail from the finger it broke half way, which made Jack a little sad. He gripped the other half of the broken nail, making sure to secure it. The child's struggles seemed to have lessened, except when Jack tore back the rest of the nail, taking a good bit of the boy's flesh from his finger with it. This caused the boy to struggle even more.

Soon after pulling the rest of the nail's off the boy's hands, the boy looked a bit lifeless as if he was too tired to continue to play. This made Jack sad as he moved back to his table and grabbed a knife and a hammer. He ripped off the boy's shirt and began to carve words in the boy's chest. The two words he carved said 'LET'S PLAY' and bled slowly, staining the already blood stained bed even more. The kid sadly didn't react to this and Laughing Jack sighed as he picked up the hammer. They always got tired so easily, he wished there was a playmate who could play for as long as he could. "The fun has ended, you have lost. But I shall be back soon. But for now you shall hear this song... Pop! Goes the Weasel!~" he would say, ending his song by smashing in the young boy's face with the hammer repeatedly, brain matter and blood flying out as he penetrated the skull. He continued to hammer in the boy's face until it looked like the boy had a permanent smile. "Let's play again sometime, okay?" Jack would say before cackling maddeningly over the child's bloody corpse.
