Kokuō of the Haze

Nyen was surprisingly okay, sure she didn't know why her Shield of R'tari had decided to cover her with it's body making sure to clasp both of his hands around her and almost tucking himself into a ball but when she felt five different impacts rock her technique and heard the muffled explosions which followed it up she realized what was going on. After the steam cleared it was obvious Itami had seen better days as all that remained of her Shield of R'tari was the hands which encased her and the forearms connected to those hands which would separate revealing Nyen unscathed. She would look around scanning the area to make sure everyone else was okay and would see the explosion of steam where she knew Himiko & ANBU Shark had been and the aftermath of the Gobi presumably attacking the Wooden Construct which housed Omito and Cherish. Yet instead of expecting to see the Gobi watching them and ready to finish them off she would instead see it critically wounded with her wondering who exactly among them had dealt such a definitive blow to it.

"I need to get stronger, I should of been able to protect more of my comrades..." Nyen said upset with herself for not being able to see what happened and if not for Itami she wouldn't of survived such a thing. Still she would create clones of herself and move them so they could check up on her comrades and pull them to safety if need be. Just in case this wasn't over they would be safest with her even if it would take her and Itami some time to build up the Shield of R'tari once more. She would see that she wasn't the only one still standing as why she couldn't locate the others and didn't know if they were okay just yet she could make out Summer's form in the distance staring down the Bijuu with defiance causing Nyen to move herself so that she could get closer to her to assist if need be.

Armenezra fought valiantly along side his companions from the ASN. Unfortunately the difference in power between the mighty creature and the heavenly warrior of Bachiatari was to great. The creature has bested Armen and within seconds , he began to feel the effects of Kokuo's genjutsu chain. In the few seconds he had to himself, with his mind in tact, he'd give Kukuo one last look. He would be sure to never forget the monsters face. For the first time in a long time a familiar feeling came over him. The feeling of total helplessness and fear. He could possibly die here today and not have anything he can do about it from here on. From the moment he first laid eyes on Kukuo as a Genin; he has dedicated his life to becoming powerful, so that he two can become a monstrous presence that can be felt from miles away.  This was the only way he believed that he could protect himself, and those he loved. He has trained nearly everyday, even under the pressure and responsibilities of the administrative branch of the Bachiatari. Granted he has become far more powerful than the average jonin but today he has been humbled yet again. As Armen screams in immense pain, he began to realize that maybe he can never have this much power, but he vows to himself. He will not fail the way he did today. He couldn't protect his team mates, he couldn't protect Himiko not even once, worst of them all he couldn't even protect himself or his legacy. He has no heir suited to replace him and if he were to die today he'd be survived by his two under developed students and four captains of Bachiatari.  This maybe the clearest he every spoke but with all that pain all he could say audible, "I... will.. not ..die!" With that the heavenly warrior of Bachiatari has fainted leaving everything else to Nyen and Summer of the ASN; disgraceful!

Eldermito and Soulmito thought the very same thing in the moment they saw the Gobi bearing down on them like an enraged creature freshly freed from their hellish prison: Well...shit They had a sneaking feeling that the attack would be able to destroy the Elder Tree Spirit without much effort, just from the speed and the way the beast lowered her horns. He didn't want to think about what would happen to Cherish if that happened, vulnerable as she was. The hands of the construct tightened around her prone form and the honey pot in its palm, with the clone atop the thing's head putting away his Tessen and prepared to do....something to lessen the force of the assault. Their situation couldn't be completely hopeless... And then Summer was there, as though an answer to that very thought. He hadn't seen her move, though Omito realized that he no longer knew the true limits of his teammate's speed. It wasn't something that was easy for him to accept, but he knew it.

Then, Summer's blade cut through the air, faster than he could see. Possibly faster than he could comprehend, middle of a battle or no. And something was....wrong with the world around him when she did. Then he realized what she had done, what his glorious, amazing, wonderful teammate had done. The wound blossomed across the Gobi like a flower of hope and left the Five Tails critically injured, leaving Omito a chance, just one. But one was all he needed, especially with all the damage that had been done to the creature up to this point "Thank you, Summer" His feelings hummed down the pack bond like a warm flood of sunshine and he formulated a plan in his head, faster than he would've ever thought he could. Soulmito moved down just as Eldermito brought up his hand, grabbing Cherish and taking off around the construct at Blinding Light speeds. He used it as a shield, blocking them from the sight of those in front of Eldermito. He needed to get her to safety, first and foremost. He couldn't do much else.

Eldermito waited only a moment more before moving into the Afterlife at Echoing Flash speeds, letting the Gobi's own momentum carry her closer whilst he moved himself. Once he was within range he reappeared, directly above her head Kohaku vibrating with excitement in one hand while the other came crashing down onto the creature's forehead "You are a truly beautiful force of nature, but I am afraid this is the end..." The seal formed under the fingers of the Elder Wood Spirit, branding into the head of the creature and channeling his power, his chakra, his sacrifice into her "Kohaku, dinnertime." The honey pot let out an excited squeal as the seal took effect "YUMMY YUM YUM! Tailed Beast for dinner!!" The seal, the most powerful Omito could learn without taking the risk of losing his life in the process of containing the beast, would the form of the Gobi into the honey pot in his hand if all went right, meaning an end to this entire fiasco...

Treasure could only watch as her comrades were seemingly taken out one by one, she had seen how Armenezra was fighting alongside them and then he was knocked unconscious just like Cherish had but unlike her his Bake didn't survive the mental assault. She had seen how Nyen was fine one moment and then all of a sudden there was steam and sand flying everywhere but in her case she didn't worry that much because if there was one thing Nyen was, it was a tough cookie. She was most worried for Himiko and ANBU Shark as she had seen Himiko die once and didn't think that she could pull off another resurrection especially since it would seem like their construct spontaneously exploded just like Nyen's had. She was worried that neither of them would have escaped in time, but more so than that she was terrified that even though they had bought enough time it wasn't enough for girlie to seal the deal.

That is until Summer came out of no where and the Gobi was rend asunder, she didn't know what happened her eyes weren't capable of reading high speed combat like that since she was the slowest of the group. Still she knew victory when she saw it, and even though her Ghost was knocked out she burned the image of the Gobi getting struck like that in her mind and Omito's words in her bond. No it would vivid enough that when Cherish woke up it would be as if she was right there with them celebrating the victory that they had all earned. It went without saying that they all would need to get stronger, she realized that she had wasted enough time not developing her medical skills and that all that wasted time was for naught. She would remind her Ghost that they were support and that they should speed up their defensive kick so they could get back to doing what they did best.

ANBU Shark  had a couple of options especially when a rampaging Bijuu was on it's way to try and evaporate you, he could see the thing coming but rather than head for Himiko and himself it would do that weird thing were it made copies of it'self which prompted him to come to the conclusion that it meant business. Thus he did what anyone would do in a situation where they could not body replace and had no hope of surviving an incoming threat and decided to run. Only thing was he was currently in his hydrification form which allowed him to converge at the base of the Boiling Demonic Fish before he promptly sprinted at Echoing Flash courtesy of expending a massive amount of chakra to boost the capabilities of his legs. He would just manage to escape the impact while clutching his Gale Egg and upon reaching the limits of his movement the consequences of his actions would end up catching up with him as his legs were grievously injured the raw pain from tearing his muscle fibers and exhausting his body knocking him unconscious. His last thoughts before fading away was that it was truly a worthy battle he had faced but what was more disappointing was the fact that a fucking dolphin had gotten the better of a shark like him. "Hopefully the others can hold it down without my assistance...Taicho..forgive me."

Something happened. That was all Himiko could see of the front lines with Summer, besides knowing that the powerful comrade had done something big. She had to keep herself safe though, she had to get back to Cecelia. And with the afterimages looking so much faster now as they barreled down, she looked to Shark as it seemed both had reached the same concensus. She had no idea how her earlier revival was going to affect her body doing this, she knew nothing of just what happened besides feeling a power boost, so what was going to happen at the end of this she had no idea. She joined Shark in dropping down, and charging chakra through her legs to follow after him. She felt her body drain so much, so much chakra lost and all of her energy just gone. She fell not too far away from Shark, out for the count as all the work she'd put in caught up on her, disabling her Hydrification so she could be moved by others just before she passed out.

Kokuo was succeeding in showing this ningen the disparity between herself and them, systematically destroying the constructs which could threaten her until something went wrong, while she was no stranger to high speed combat she was horrified when she saw the distortions in space. She had never known shinobi which were capable of it not since the era where the bijuu were reduced to prizes constantly swapped between villages when the situation arose itself. Sure they had been much weaker back then, before the Youkai Dimension was merged with the Physical World and they were empowered thanks to the raw influx of chakra from Progenitor imbuing it's essence into all of creation. No she was horrified by the realization that the accursed shinobi had become too strong without them even noticing, and as the pain hit she would let out a wail of agony. She did not want to be sealed and yet, she couldn't run away as she couldn't feel anything below her mid-back it wasn't a mortal injury she wuld recover in time but there wasn't enough time to do so and deal with the mortals surrounding her.

"No! Why is this happening! Bare witness, when I get out I will salt the earth with your bones! I will destroy everything you hold dear in exchange for taking away my freedom! I hate you all, you started this just so you could make me into a weapon! I'll never forgive y-" Kokuo said her eyes actually tearing up as she realized that she was going to be sealed again after being free for almost half a millennia. Her remaining tirade was cut off as she was completely sealed within Kohaku no Johei with the usually talkative "honey-pot" actually remaining silent as it was obvious that she wasn't meant to contain such a being for long periods of time. In fact occasionally she would shake as if what she contained was trying it's best to escape from within it's confines.

Meanwhile within the very pot Kokuo roared in a mixture of rage, agony and fear repeatedly bashing her head against the bars of her newly formed cage. Tears freely fell from her eyes as her rage gave away to soul crushing sadness as she feared she would be stuck yet again being forced to give some mortal her chakra and used as a battery to wage destruction in their name. She hated shinobi with all of her being, why did they always do this, could they not accept their place in the world. She wondered if they knew what torture they were putting her through; the agony of having ones freedom taken from them being unable to do anything but wait for an opportunity to get free, bested by beings which lived only a fraction of her lifetime, and cut from experiencing the world as Datara intended. No she would be sealed, but they would regret it, she would make sure of that, burning the image of the arrogant ningen who sealed her in one of her own Father's tools into her mind. She would make sure to hunt and kill them, as well as anyone who resembled or reminded her of them, as soon as she escaped. Help me... The Ningen they've sealed me I can't get out! Help me I don't want to be trapped in here! Please... help me... Kokuo said telepathically reaching out to her brethren, trying her best to alert them of what happened. However it seemed like none of them were within range of her communication as she knew despite their differences if any of them were close enough to hear her crying for help they would have answered immediately. But that was fine, eventually one of her siblings would be close enough for her to reach them, and when they were she would inform them of what happened to her and they would spread the message to her other siblings including exactly what the ningen that sealed her were capable of. She would be free, maybe not now or even by her own tails but eventually she would be free and they would all regret ever sealing her away.

Mission Complete:

Omito had half expected the beast to pull some trick and fight the sealing, but that hadn't occurred. Although, Kohaku was silent and every so often she would shake violently, and Omito took neither as a good sign. The Elder Spirit landed in a crouch on the ground before turning and bellowing out "NYEN!! Quickly!" The girl's head snapped towards the sound, emanating from the construct and knew what was needed, as though they were bound by the same connection that was formed between Team 10. The hands of her Shield of R'tari, moved so they cradled her and shot off at their max speed of Ripping Discord, stopping to pick up the Elder Spirit before shooting off in the direction of Hakagakure. The hands were rather large, thankfully, due to the full shield's former size, so they were large enough to carry him without much of an issue. Nyen shared a heavy look with the glowing neon eyes of the construct before Omito spoke again "The seal will hold, but not for long. We need to place the beast in a permanent host. And soon..." Nyen's eyes moved back to their path ahead and she nodded grimly. She didn't want to think on what fresh hell would be unleashed if the Gobi was freed again, especially since they were bringing her closer to their village.

The size of the hands and the speed of Nyen's own control over her sand allowed her to cross the distance between their battlefield and the village quickly, but she couldn't help but look up whenever the pot that held the beast shook. Omito found his attention drawn similarly, but tried not to worry. Nyen was making amazing time, they would transfer the seal in time...they had to. They crossed the bounds of the village and Omito jerked his head in the direction of the safehouse they placed the future Jinchuuriki in. It was near the bounds of the village and heavily guarded, both with defensive jutsu and shinobi. Nyen brought him near the building, though admittedly she herself didn't know where it was. The location had been kept to ANBU agents only, and she wasn't one of them. Omito decided he couldn't risk the time it would take to get through all of the barriers they had set up the official way. He had overseen their creation, so he knew they wouldn't bar entry through other dimensions. He shifted his actual body from the center of the Wood Human and out through the hand, flying out and grabbing Kohaku along the way.

He ectoported and felt the drain on his stamina reserves, but ignored it. He entered the Afterlife and carried the honey pot close to his body, moving in the direction of where he knew the child was being held and entertained. He made good time, reappearing in the room with his ANBU mask drawn securely over his face. His fellow agents looked more than a bit frightened, but quickly recovered from this shock with a nod. Omito turned to the play pen on the other side of the room. He saw the little blue shock of hair rolling around, playing with the toys that had been laced in there with him. He was an orphaned Nova child, his mother having died during child birth before she could name him. There was no father either, so he had been held under the name "Baby Boy Blue". Other ANBU agents thought he was the best candidate, young and with no one that would object to what they were going to do. Omito moved the honey pot and rested it near the pen. The little boy, he had been named Hijiko by a couple other agents and it just stuck, had noticed Omito and stood now. He smiled brightly and reached up, hands grabbing in a motion that said he wanted to be held. Omtio couldn't help but comply, and contact would make the transfer easier...

He picked up the baby and the little one reached for his mask, little hands tracing the designs on the front and trying to grab one of the ears. His hand came dangerously close to poking his eye out, but Omito simply chuckled and tapped their foreheads together. Hijiko gave a loud giggle that made Omito question what he had to do ever so slightly "I know we have no other choice but to seal it in you to contain it but..." The pot rattled and his eyes moved down to consider it for a moment before he continued "I can't help but think we're condemning you to a life that no one would wish upon a child. Host to a monster, probably looked upon as a weapon or abomination by the villagers...and who knows what effects the seal or Bijuu itself will have on you. I just...I can't..." He gave a frustrated sigh, shaking his head. Hijiko made low cooing sounds, his face looking concerned and worried. The dark haired male's heart warmed at that "I know that this is the only way to make sure it stays bound, but I wish there was another one. I'll help to ensure you have the best life possible under the circumstances. I'm sorry..." Omito reached down and touched the honey pot as he drew the pattern of the seal with a finger over the child's left thigh, channeling his power into both and transferring the beast from the pot into the child.

It was done, finally. Summer snapped her kyougan closed as she looked to where the Gobi had once been but it was gone now. All that was left was a tired and terrified Omito and Nyen, both of them charging off towards Hakagakure. Omito would know what to do. "Godspeed, spooky." She sent through the pack bond with a smile gracing her lips. She took the pill out from between her teeth and put it away, her mouth was so dry from this damned fight that she knew the pill would survive. Now she just had to deal with the aftermath. This area would need a lot of earth release shinobi to fix and a lot of time before it stopped being a burned, scarred wasteland. Her friends had all been wounded heavily, she knew Cherish was unconscious, so it was time to gather them up now that Omito and Nyen were gone, after all... She was the only one still standing now.

As she stretched her limbs, gasping in pain from what the Zantetsuken had done to her, she pulled her forehead protector down to cover her kyougan properly. Part of her wanted to bring in crows to help but... They would be trying to calm down Odin and would be mourning the death of Huginn. She didn't want to interrupt that so she drew Glimmer and slashed the ground a few times in an asterisk pattern and repeated it a few feet to the side. The ground crystallised into beautiful, glittering diamond and Summer performed a few slow hand seals before putting her hands onto the ground. Seven clones made of shining diamond came out of the ground and they ran off to collect the unconscious bodies littered around the field.

Two of them stayed behind however, taking a sword each from Summer and standing guard beside her in case any bastard missing nin tried to use the aftermath to attack her and collect a decent bounty. With that done she turned and waved them on to get them heading back towards the village. Her hand rested over her stomach and the bottom of her ribs as she limped along. Pain was thankfully something she was good at dealing with and it wasn't going to kill her, not yet anyway, so she'd have time to get back to the village and get a check-up for everyone, including Armenezra. She knew he wasn't part of the ASN anymore but after all his work, he was owed at least a cursory check over to make sure he was fit enough to get home.

[Summer and Unconscious People Exit]

It would no be more than a couple of moments after Summer left carrying along with her her broken and bruised comrades that something would rise from the ground where the five tails had last stood. It was a dark wispy thing pitch black in appearance and comprised of chakra. Yet it lacked form, or structure and would only linger for a bit before converging together and heading away into the air. It was the beginnings of something left behind by the iconic event that had occurred today, or could it be something that had existed since the merger of dimensions and yet remained illusive unlike the rest. Still, somewhere far away in the depths of the Abyssal Ocean the sleeping One Eyed God would twitch as if even in it's deep slumber it was aware that something had changed. But for the victors would come the spoils and none of them had an inkling of what they had gone, or the consequences that would arise from the Bijuu being sealed once more. After all, if the Bijuu themselves were the stuff of legends, walking natural disasters that until this day could not be felled by any mortal. Then what pray tell would the progenitor of all nine be likened to.
