Ebb and Flow {Bella and Kyo}

Grey clouds blanketed the skies on a wet and damp day in Subarashii. Though it couldn’t be certain, it was roughly afternoon in the city judging by the numerous amounts of people trudging through the streets, hurrying to either get to shelter or get home after a long day of work, everyone except of course two young girls casually walking through the streets. Belladonna had been wandering around ever since she was separated from Slyv, oh how she missed that walking body of poison. It felt like months that she was wandering around the land of Abyss searching for him to no avail not only that she was stuck with that useless bounty she had ended up kissing awhile back, god Lori was annoying and stupid., if only there was a way she could trade places and have back Slyv and lost Lori. Letting out a sigh Bella continued walking through the streets with her new sidekick, who had several pieces of tape over her mouth by the way.

Kyo had just left the inn to go out and ge some food. He needed some space from Kirin and wanted to get out. He walked along the road with his hood pulled up over his head. The rain started to fall, luckily he had his cloak though. His stomach grumbled, he was so hungry, he hadn't ate breakfast and thought some hot ramen would be good on this cold day. The teen spotted a ramen shop up ahead and decided he should go on in. Once he stepped inside he pulled the hood off his head and sat down at the fairly empty place. Well he was the only customer in there at the moment. "One bowl of ramen with chopped celery and spicy chicken." The chef nodded behind the counter and started cooking. Kyo yawned as he propped his head up with his arm that was resting on the bar. He knew he had to get some training in. Actually he wanted to unlock one of his special clan abilities soon, only problem was he was worried he might die if he tried to get the power.

“Hey Hey Belladonna-sama! Let’s get some ramen!” Lori said with a bright smile as she was finally able to remove the several layers of duck tape that taped her lips together, and it was quite obvious that removing the tape was quite painful as Bella could see the welts on her face. Belladonna was never one for ramen, she was more of a cake and ice-cream kind of person but in this kind of weather some ramen would be pretty decent. “Fine, I suppose we could have some before we head back, where is the nearest ramen shop anyways?” She asked not seeing any ramen restaurants anywhere in the vicinity, the only thing she was seeing around were sushi shops, yuck. “There is a place that sells the best ramen in town! Follow me!” Lori stated before running ahead of her pushing the adults before her out her way. “Sounds expensive…” She muttered to herself before following behind Lori.

Pushing the door open, Lori would jump on the stool behind the counter. “Hey, Hey old man two bowls of your best ramen!” Lori ordered as she watched the old man serve the only other person in the store before going ahead with preparing her order. Lori would tilt her head to the left and eyed the boy that was before her. “It’s not polite to stare Lori.” Belladonna mentioned as she had finally caught up with her and sat beside her. “Sorry nii-chan!” Lori said before turning around waiting for her order. “As I thought.” Bella said under her breathe as she looked at the prices of the ramen in the place. Robbery I tell you! It’s just ramen! Scoffing she decided to ignore the prices and decided to just enjoy the moment.

Kyo smiled as his bowl was set down in front of him. The smell of he food made his mouth water a little. He grabbed the chopsticks that were set down along with the bowl. Then out of no where this girl practically jumped into a bar stool and yelled out her orders. Kyo sighed, I thought I was finally going to get some relaxation time. Kyo shrugged his shoulders, nothing he could do. He grabbed a bunch of the noodles and opened his mouth to take a bite, his blue eyes glanced over to the side to see one of the girls staring at him, making him feel a bit weird. He set down the chopsticks and tuned to the girl, "See something you like girl?" He then laughed a bit to himself and put the ramen in his mouth and chewed it slowly, savoring the flavor of the food. It was actually pretty good, he was probably going to get another bowl. He over heard the one girl apologize to the other girl who came in and seemed disappointed about the prices. He swallowed another mouthful of food and smiled t the girl, "I'll pay for it." Why not be nice? It wasn't like he couldn't afford it. He then went back to chowing down, slurping some of the noodles in his mouth.

“Yeah the ramen.” Lori said rudely before sticking out her tongue at the boy who was beside her. The only person she could see herself even liking would be Belladonna-niichan, besides boys are yucky. Belladonna couldn’t help but shake her head after hearing the conversation between the two. If he wanted to punch Lori in the face she wouldn’t care to be honest as she as being a little brat but if he had actually hit someone as cute as Lori was well that wouldn’t reflect well on the type of person he was. Within about five minutes waiting the chef had arrived and placed the giant bowls of ramen before the two girls. “Itadakimasu~!” Lori yelled before splitting her chop sticks and began forking down the ramen like a person who hadn’t eaten in days. “Slow down Lori…” Belladonna said before pulling her chopsticks apart and began eating. After taking in a moderate amount of noodles, Bella would swallow her food and wiped her face with a napkin. “Thanks for the offer but I don’t take handouts.” Belladonna stated without looking at the boy. Who was he to assume that she couldn’t afford this? Scoffing she would continue eating.

Kyo just shook his head with a smirk on his face. These little girls were just rude. He couldn't help but laugh after the girl said the ramen was the thing she liked. Kyo could of came up with a smart ass remark, but he didn't feel like hurting some girls feelings. The other girl stated she didn't take hand outs and Kyo shrugged his shoulders, more food for him then. The teen slurped the liquid remaing at the bottom of his bowl and set it down on the counter, "Another bowl!" He then looked at the two girls. One seemed to look normal other than her white hair. The other was wearing some dark clothes and looked a little gothish. Kyo yawned and then smirked at the two girl's, "So what are your names?" He was bored and socializing didn't seem like a bad idea.

Lori had finished her bowl in record time and at the same time the boy had asked for a refill so did she. While of course Belladonna was still on her first bowl, which was understandable as she wasn’t a fan of ramen like the two in the shop with her. Using her chopsticks to gather the noodles she would attempt to put everything in her mouth but felt inclined to answer the boys question first. “Name’s Bella.” She said before stuffing the noodles down her mouth and began chewing, which of course was no way to actually eat ramen but hey she was doing this her way damn it! Lori on the other hand would ignore the boys question and stared at Bella’s unfinished ramen with look of a starving puppy. “Baka Lori, wait till you get you second sharing.” Belladonna said before whacking her in the head with her chop sticks.

The next hot bowl of ramen was set down in front of him and he began eating more of the hot noodles. He heard the girl say her name was Bella, "Name's Kyo." He took another huge bite of the food. His sweat dropped comically as the girl got whacked in the head with the chopsticks. The duo was very odd, but Kyo didn't mind that much. He didn't really like the dumb one though, she was rude. Kyo finished off the bowl fairly quickly and slurped down the remaining juices. He stacked the bowl on top of another. He let out a sigh of relief, he now was satisfied with the food he ate. From all the ramen he was eating, he was starting to get warmed up, so he took off his cloak, revealing his gill that was on his neck from being a member of the Zakiyoshi clan.

Rubbing her forehead Lori would gratefully accept the bowl that was placed before her and began forking down the ramen once more. “Make sure you eat up Lori-chan.” Because the training we’ll do after this will make sure you pay for making me spend so much money on ramen, Bella wanted to add but she didn’t want to scare the others in the shop or make Lori start to sulk. Wiping the sweat from her brow with the sleeve of her shirt, Belladonna would stuff a piece of ham in her mouth. “Kyo huh strange name for a person.” She added as she remembered back in her home town there was a store called Kyo that sold furniture. Shrugging that thought off she would finish her bowl of ramen, finally, and placed her chop sticks to the left of the bowl. That would of course be her last bowl of ramen, cake is so much better than that crap she just had. Unable to listen to the sounds of Lori wolfing down the extra large bowl of ramen she was eating she would turn stand up and turned to her left when she noticed the gills on the boy’s neck. “A Zakiyoshi huh? Too think I’d meet someone from the wretched clan here” Belladonna said sounding disgusted as she made her way outside leaving them both to finish their meals.

Kyo would place down the xel, paying for his meal before looking over to the girl who called his name weird, "Strange for a person? Naw." He kinda was getting irritated with the two girls, they were rude. It seemed that she spotted his gills because she quickly pointed out hewas of the Zakiyoshi clan. Kyo nodded, "Yeah, what about it? You know something about them?" She walked out and Kyo got up and followed her, his hood getting pulled back on so he wouldn't get wet, "You got problems with the Zakiyoshi?" He was kind of interested. He only recently found out that he was part of the Zakiyoshi clan. He was raised as an orphan and nver knew of his heritage until a few days ago. He wanted to learn a little it more about the clan and this girl named Bella seemed to know of them.

It had seemed that the rain had finally let up and the sun shone brightly, which was quite welcoming. Bella would lean against the nearby railing and began soaking up the sun but was interrupted when the boy had come running after her, pity. “I do have problems with the Zakiyoshi, after all I am one.” She stated without delving too deep into the events that lead to her father’s beheading and her subsequent jail time for three years at the tender age of eleven. She despised the Zakiyoshi and if it was possible she would’ve ripped the gills from her neck and would turn her back on them, but unfortunately for her she was stuck carrying the marks of that pathetic clan. She even went as far as to die her hair from white to black but some things can never be erased. In fact the only reason she still resided in the same land as those fuckers was because she was still looking for her Nii-chan, though it seemed as if she would never find him, hopefully he was dead.

Kyo couldn't help but smile when she stated that she too was a Zakiyoshi, "Really?! I never met another Zakiyoshi before!" After all, his was an orphan and grew up outside of the clan. He shook his head slightly confused, "Wait why would you have problems with your own clan?" It all didn't add up to Kyo. From the book that he read about his clan, the clan was suppose to look like him. He guessed there was some variations, but why would she have a problem with the clan she came from? It made no sense. Kyo looked at the girl with his blue eyes, wondering what was going on with the girl. Something must've happened to maker her dislike her own clan. The sun finally came out from behind the clouds, Kyo took the hood off his cloak now that the rain stopped.

So he never met another Zakiyoshi before? Bella’s green hues would exam the boy from head to toe and she didn’t see any signs or semblance of a headband or anything indicating that he was from any of the three major factions, so did that mean he was a Missing Ninja or a civilian? Well that would explain why he hadn’t seen another Zakiyoshi before and even though he was enthusiastic about meeting another, Bella on the other hand wasn’t. “Personal matters between the clan elders and I. Matters that I wish not to discuss with a stranger.” Belladonna stated as she watched Lori emerge from the shop with the bill. With a sigh she would hand Lori the money to pay for both sets of ramen. “Why don’t you go visit them if you’re so interested in learning about the Zakiyoshi.” She added eyeing the boy who seemed to be much older than she was.

Apparently the chick didn't want to explain what was going on with her and the clan. Kyo didn't really care that uch though. He wasn't going to just beg her for information on why she hated her clan. The girl then asked him a question about why he didn't just go visit his clan if he was so interested in learning about them. A smirk appeared on his face as he rolled his eyes, "Personal matters between Dipugakre and I. Matters that I wish not to discuss with a stranger." He said this in a mocking tone and then laughed after doing so. He then pointed to his forehead with his thumb, "I left that village to do my own thing! You don't see a headband do you?" Passion burned in his eyes, he was going to create his own village. He was only going to go back to Dipugakure to take his clan away from them, but that was for later on down the road.

A smart ass huh? Belladonna couldn’t help but chuckle at his childish attempt to mock her, which would make her wonder who was the child right here. She was quite surprised however when he pointed to his forehead and announced that he wasn’t affiliated with any villages in the middle of the streets of Subarashii, whose to tell who would’ve heard his announcement, there could be hunter nin lurking everywhere, then again he didn’t seem to be the type that people who deem a threat. “My aren’t we special.” Belladonna said with a smile. Though it was obvious he was a blockhead he wasn’t about to allow her to get killed due to his stupidity, whoever something did intrigue her. “By your own thing what exactly do you mean?”

Kyo didn't seem to hear the thing she said about them being special, but it didn't matter because he heard the question she asked. She asked what he meant by his own thing. Kyo smiled at the girl, "I'm goin to make my own village and become a Kage. I got tired of following other's rules and want to make a better place where it is how it used to be before the shogun." Kyo definitely wasn't stupid, he was just so confident in himself he didn't care who heard, so yeah to some small degree he was stupid for that. The teen then noticed she didn't ave any headband an assumed she was a missing ninja too. "Seems like you didn't like it there too much yourself?"

“Oh so you’re the type that doesn’t like taking orders from others but like when others take yours. A bit selfish aren’t we?” Belladonna retorted after hearing his desire. Though she had turned her back on the village on for reasons that would save her life, he seemed to have left for a different reason, power maybe? Maybe he wanted to become a Kage and decided that it would just be easier to create a village from scratch than stay at Dipugakure and become a candidate there. That seemed much easier in her opinion but hey it was his life. “Yeah I’m not too fond of the village myself, I don’t have a grand dream like yours, I just want to live and my life is better out here than in there.” She admitted subtly confirming she was also a Missing Ninja to the boy.

Kyo nodded, "Well maybe you can help me sometime with my goal. There will be a lot of excitement, so living would be accomplished in this." He smiled at Bella. He could use as much people as he could get to reach his goal. Well not use, but get help from. The girl seemed okay even though she had a slight attitude in Kyo's opinion. He still didn't like the chick with the blue eyes. He had to get back to the inn soon to meet back up with Kirin.

Interesting. Maybe teaming up with Kyo wouldn’t be a bad idea, after all it seemed the Slyv was nowhere in the area and she could use a traveling partner, although of course she didn’t care for his dream, she just wanted to become stronger to defend herself and after that was finished she would just ditch the guy. “Sounds like a deal.” She stated as Lori came out with what seemed like more ramen from the shop, maybe the old man had taken to her, after she could be sweet at times. “Nii-chan lets go home.” Lori said tiredly as she held on to Bella’s hand. “Sure. I’m staying at a place on the edge of town, whenever you’re ready to head out come get us.” She added as she turned her back to the boy and began heading home, she had felt tired and a nice bath and a long rest should do her good.

Welp it looked like the girls were going to be useful after all. Now he had to get back to Kirin. They had to do some more bounty collecting soon enough. The teen started his walk back to the inn in which he came from. He was probably going to get in some training or something. Although maybe a nap would be good first. He didn't really know. He just knew he had to get there first.
