Xan had his trademark scowl and was waiting by the frigid gates of his village, of course he wasn't all that bothered by the cold but still he didn't like waiting in it. He was currently wondering when the person he needed to escort would arrive, he honestly didn't want to go that far but it would seem luck just wasn't on his side. Nonetheless he would humor this guy, he needed the cash after all as currently having just the amount of a T. Jonin who had earned his first salary wasn't acceptable not at all. Wasting..my time. Isn't the smart thing to do. Xan muttered while his hands were in the pockets of his flak jacket Basilisk was of course on his waist along with the rest of his nincessories including the scrolls he had just purchased.

With a small tap tap tap the man would be seen in the distance hunched over and whatnot just a trait old people had, after about 20 minutes the man made it too where xan was waiting and a cracking sound would be heard as he looked up at the man and gave a small smile before he began walking. Let's get going then youngster. And with that the two set off it was a long journey ahead off them.

Indeed. Xan said before turning on his heel and nodding to one of the chunnin guarding the gate to open it so he and the old man could exit the village. He wouldn't walk to far ahead of the man rather he alternated his pace so that he was walking along side him so he could protect him at any time if necessary. Xan wasn't one for much conversation so he wouldn't speak at all unless spoken to, hopefully it wouldn't take to long then again seeing as they were going all the way to Shigakure it would seem that it was unavoidable that he will end up bored out of his mind.

The man said placing on some goggles and a blanket for the wind chill.

Well then, that makes things much easier. Xan said before grabbing the wheelchair and then running at normal running pace, he didn't want to go to fast as it was an icy landscape and sprinting was just grounds for slipping and falling. The main reason though was because he wanted to regulate his stamina just in case they came across any enemies along the way that way he could protect the old man not to mention himself. He wasn't about to jump in front of an arrow for him but he would gladly push him out of the way, after all if he ended up dead then who would escort the man so either way he'd fail the mission.

everything was quite so far though animals were passing by they were currently leaving the pair alone, soon though a blizzard would move in covering the area lightly and stopping vision this most likely would be when a animal attacked them the cover just made their mouth drool.

Xander continued moving, not really bothered to much by the blizzard, considering they happened as often as torrential rain did in Abyss, perhaps it was because they were surrounded by mountains and in an icy location, either way it didn't affect his running in the slightest and he would continue to move. Of course he was more alert it was times like these where they were most likely to get attacked, but the cover worked both ways, not only would they run the risk of getting ambushed but Xander was one of the few who enjoyed fighting blind mainly because his opponents were even more blind to him as he was to them, usually anyways.

The ground floor would show two things as the wheel chair stopped, something stuck with something in between the left wheel. A long metal pole would be lodged inward and positioned to jam the wheel, Whoooo! Would be called out in unison the numbers unknown but one would notice heat circling the pair causing steam to rise further blocking visibility.
