Personality: Kazuya is quiet. Like, really quiet. He moves without sounds, and speaks in shallow whispers, and asks others to do the same when talking to him. It seems that loud noises are a pet peeve for him - since views pretty much everyone to be too loud and making unnecessary noises.
 
The boy dislikes being in spotlight or in the center of attention, instead preferring to be unnoticeable and 'blend with the crowd'. This is why he may come across as unsocial, which he is. Kazuya leads a rather solitary life, and prefers to avoid social interaction when it is not required.
 
Non the less, the boy has his strong sides. He's smart, diligent and attentive, able to pick up unnoticeable things, and reflects on his, and other peoples' mistakes. He aspires to be a great Blacksmith, but is a bit big-headed on what a civilian should be. He thinks everyone's doing it wrong, being too loud and noticeable with their flames and guards.
 
Kazuya dislikes working in a team. Not that he doesn't want to, he simply thinks that his style is better-suited for solitary missions. Still, if placed in one, the boy likes to constantly test his teammates and even his teachers, ambushing from unseen spots and throwing senbon, which, while not lethal, can hurt quite a bit. But that's just him - he thinks that a person must be always prepared.
 
Lastly, due to his lack of social interactions, Kazuya can be rather coy around girls. He tries to pretend he doesn't care and ignore them, but the blushing gives him away every time. Which is yet another reason to wear a mask.

History: Kazuya was born to a family of shinobi within the Taki Clan, that served Ibaragakure. It was a profession that ran in the family for quite some time. His dad was a shinobi, as was his grandfather, and the man before him, and so on. Naturally, such heritage meant for him and his brother to become shinobi themselves. His parents would have it in no other way.
 
They started preparing the boys for this role almost since their first day. their cradle's, when swung, was hitting a wall every time, which taught the boys to instinctively brace themselves for impacts, as well as being able to sleep while disturbed by movement and noises. There were no toys, or anything.
 
But the boys didn't miss these much, since they didn't know any better. Both were taught to swim earlier than they could walk, and at 3-4 years of age already practiced long and extenuating physical and mental exercises. Kazuya and Jin were no geniuses, mind you, so such training drills' effects on them did not pay off immediately, but it was better than nothing. Socializing, as usual, was skipped in favor for honing skills that might help him in his future profession. It was then when the boys were taught to be silent. If he were unable to enter the kitchen with floor or door creaking - he wouldn't be getting dinner. But if successful, the reward was a piece of candy.
 
When the boys went to the academy at age of 10, he already knew how to toss a shuriken and a kunai, and was more apt than his classmates. Teachers noted and admired him for that, but pointed out complete lack of social skills - Kazuya always stayed away from the main group instead chilling with his brother, his attempts to fit in were ... awkward, since his interests differed from the rest. Concerned about that, the teachers talked to his parents in a private meeting, voicing that their child would have troubles, if this is not dealt with immediately.
 
Kazuya's parents agreed, figuring they went a bit too tight on the boy in the last years, and thus their grip on his fate began slipping. But it was kind of late to deal with all of this - the boy's way of perceiving and thinking was already made up, Instead they told his older brother Jin to watch over him the more social of the two. This however lead to jin telling Kazuya to fly free, Kazuya the next day dropped out off the academy too become a civilian.[/color]
