| The monk seemed to be certain with a lack of skirmish, but Yuki didn’t feel as sure. They weren’t going to be in ASN territory, so she had a feeling that they’d run into more than a clashing of religion.
The canyons themselves were dry and a deep red. Yuki didn’t like being outside of areas that were moderately cold, but she had to make sure she was able to work in as many environments as possible. The walk itself was relatively quiet, she thought. But she didn’t have much to talk about and couldn’t really answer Kotsu’s questions on religion. |

| Kori had taken to carrying her bow in her hand after they were leaving the more traditionally safer zones. It wasn't that she didn't believe that they wouldn't be attacked, only that she felt more prepared with it in her hand. Working alongside her sister, she was aware of what each other could do, and how to help out each other. But the canyons... ugh, they were not cool. ... pun definitely intended. | |

| As they moved, Verdance hummed quietly to themselves, easily keeping pace with the two kunoichi. They seemed to be having quite a nice day, the sun was out, the temperature was decent and there was a fine breeze that didn't pick up too much dirt but helped cool them down. Overall, everything seemed quite nice! There was still the lingering worry that something bad was going to happen, it didn't help that the canyon was eerily quiet other than the wind.
Occasionally a few rocks would fall from the top of the canyon, bouncing down the walls but there didn't seem to be any movement, it might just be some Fauna that was floating around these parts but... Where were they? Where were the sounds? That much, Verdance didn't know but hopefully it wasn't anything bad... *********************** ~A message to all~ I am always available to help if you need it! | Yuki looked up at the source of rocks falling, squinting to focus her vision a little more and to block out the sun’s rays. Kori had her bow out, so trying to snipe an enemy from a distance shouldn’t be much of a problem. Yuki’s needles softly jingled to the breeze, but it wasn’t much to give them away. It made pleasant noise though. The silence wasn’t too bad either, just made it easier for Yuki and Kori to listen for footsteps or anything else that would give someone away. |

| Kori noticed the crumbling rocks falling, and soon enough picked up Yuki's glances too. She dropped her pace back a little getting a little closer to their escort without looking suspicious if they were being watched. She brought a hand up to her collar bone, holding her mirror against her palm so they could speak more privately through her mirrors. "See anything?" She whispered through, and slipped it in to the buckle on her collar. With her hand still against her chest she formed her bundle of 5 ice arrows as a precaution. - Spoiler:

| Unknown to Yuki and Kori, there were two opponents on their tail, both of them hunting down the Monk for their own nefarious purposes. At the moment they were simply prodding the defenses and with both of the Toketsu siblings looking ahead, one of them struck. Pulling themselves up into a crouch behind the trio, they took out a trio of kunai and launched them forwards, spitting out a strange discoloured liquid to coat them as they flew towards the Monk, aiming to strike Verdance in the back and slay them near instantly. They were moving at B-Rank speeds and if the girls didn't do something quick enough... Well their mission would be over before it even started. Whether they managed to block the attacks or not, looking up to where the kunai had been launched from would reveal that the attacker had already moved away and without long range sensory, tracking them would be difficult. - Spoiler:
Name: Cypher Style Shurikenjutsu: Condor Sage Flower Nail Vermillion Classification: Ninjutsu/Shurikenjutsu Rank: B-rank (3 D-ranks of Chakra Per Projectile) Class: Supplementary/Offensive Range: Mid
Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken or kunai with one hand, and at the same time, emits acid-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' combat potential by making them capable of passing on the effects of Corrosion with direct contact (B-rank damage) with either the intended victim, or any other object caught within their trajectories while flying at crashing ground speeds. Due to the chakra-based nature of the acid that surround them, the shuriken will continue to be under the effects of the corrosion after impact, creating a pool of deadly acid. Anything struck by these will start to take C-Rank recurring corrosion damage each round until it is washed off with at least a B-Rank of water.

| Yuki's hand moved over her mirror to respond as she took a quick look around. Rather than grab the mirror, Yuki's eyes widened and she immediately shouted, "BEHIND YOU!" Immediately set off for protecting Verdance, hopping around them and molding ice into her hand and threw a snowball that exploded upon contact with the most central kunai and disrupting their path. As the knives dropped, there was no one to be seen. "I don't like this.", Yuki would say as she got a creeping feeling on her back and a colder air creeping out around her. Whatever acids didn't mix with the snow, a soft hiss was heard. Yuki stepped a little closer to Verdance, a little bit more on guard now. - Spoiler:
Name: Winter's Breath Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Passive Range: Variable
Description: As the children of Winter, the Toketsu's adrenaline heightens their natural abilities causing them not to heat up but to cool down, causing the surrounding air to freeze around them. This just enhances itself the longer that the Toketsu fights causing the ground around them to frost over, snow to flutter down simply from the cooling water molecules in the air. This of course quickly gets uncomfortable for anyone not a Toketsu as they are immune to their own Winter's Breath but not the chakra signature of another Toketsu. Lastly the Toketsu's Breath can be sped up as they pour their stamina into it, paying fatigue to speed up the chill of the Breath. Due to their Chilled Physiology however the usual effects of the basic form of Winter's Breath do not affect the Toketsu. This aura actually doesn't deal damage on its own, instead it starts to inflict Hypothermia, draining a limit much like sanity or fatigue. This limit is equal to 3/4 of the victim's fatigue as it affects both the mind and body. Once the limit is depleted unless the victim possesses Barrier+Endurance tier chain equal or higher than the user's rank (Caps at S.) then they succumb to hypothermia, either entering a manic fear state as they claw at their own body to remove the numbness or find the smallest area they possibly can to curl up in and wait to die.

Fatigue Costs +5 for everything.

Name: Glacial Infusion - Eyes Classification: Kinjutsu Rank: B-Rank Class: Supplementary/Passive Range: Self
Description: With this glacial infusion technique, the user slowly turns their eyes to ice, requiring a B-Rank blood price each topic until permanent, and creates new lenses that are better than the old, enabling them to see clearer and better as well as acting as a reflector for a single sight based genjutsu, however that causes the lenses to shatter and be put back together over a certain amount of time, during which the user loses their reaction tier equivalence as well as the defense. While this is active, heat and fire based techniques deal an additional B-Rank of damage to the user and melts the lenses, causing them to require reforming just as though they had blocked a genjutsu which can prove to be dangerous for the user of this technique. Of course the strength of the lenses and the technique they can block is dependent on the user's affinity to Ice.

Name: Frost Release: Chilling Snowbomb Classification: Ninjutsu/Shurikenjutsu Rank: B-Rank (C-Rank chakra, C-Rank Ice Materia per snowball) Class: Offensive Range: Varies
Description: The user of this technique gathers up the requisite ice materia and gathers it into a compacted sphere in their hands before saturating it with chakra. This causes the ice to become slightly more powdered than usual, taking on the form of a snowball. These snowballs are thrown as projectiles, using the user’s tiers to determine their speed and any piercing they may possess. These snowballs, upon hitting a foe or a solid surface, detonate into a cloud of chakra infused snow, dealing Frost Release chakra damage over a radius of 40ft. The amount of damage dealt by the snowballs is dependent on the user’s Winter’s Breath. In addition, the snowbombs cause anyone struck to lose Hypothermia Limit and create floating clouds of snow and ice that hinder normal and chakra sight for 5 PT over the area of effect of the snowball and where it landed.

| Kori turned quickly, eyes focusing and watching Yuki's snow ball colliding with the kunai. In one swift motion she knocked an arrow in to her bow and primed it ready whilst looking around. She moved to take the other side of their escort so both sisters were checking other directions. "Yuki, keep me posted on any movement." She kept her eyes sharp, letting her training as an archer run the forefront, and activating her Frostborn Seeking, hoping that someone would be in range. Her archery skills likewise came in to benefit, as she was easily able to hold her breath, focusing her gaze that much more. She knew they had to be careful with their escort too, with two Toketsu certainly making issue with the cold that they brought. - Spoiler:
Name: Frostborn Seeking Classification: Fighting Style Rank: B-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Mid
Description: This is a unique tracking based fighting style developed by the Toketsu during their time within the Land of Futility. Due to their naturally lowered body temperature they discovered that by focusing they could detect sources of heat albeit at the drawback of having to hold their breath in order to maintain their focus in such a way. Fortunately those within the Toketsu clan are skilled at doing such and thus this technique evolved from it's original sensory origins into becoming a useful means of hunting prey without the aid of vision as often in the Land of Futility one could go many months without a single ray of sunlight. This technique utilizes a combination of the user's skill as well as their current level of Winter's Breath to accurately detect heat sources, the colder the area around the Toketsu is the easier it is to detect sources of heat. Likewise the more skilled the Toketsu is the larger radius around themselves they are able to detect heat. This technique is required to learn any of the advanced techniques belonging to this style. Rank (Radius of Heat Sensory) - Winter's Breath Stg (Heat Concealment Req.) D (10 feet) - 1st (N/A) C (20 feet) - 2nd (D) B (30 feet) - 3rd (C) A (40 feet) - 4th (B) S (50 feet) - 5th (A)
Name: Frostborn Seeking: Rough Heat Silhouette Classification: Nintaijutsu Rank: D-rank Class: Supplementary Range: Varies (Heat Signature)
Description: Requires 1 P.T of breath holding to activate. This technique sharpens the definition of the heat signature detected allowing the Toketsu clan member to be able to visualize the source of heat in a silhouette rather than a formless blur. While a basic technique which doesn't clearly define features it does play a big part in determining the positioning of their target which can be crucial to hunting or battle tactics. Depending on the skill of the user the size of targets that can have their silhouette's determined by this technique varies. Rank - Size D - Tiny C - Small B - Humanoid A - Medium S - Large

| Verdance had squeaked and ducked behind Yuki the moment she had shouted, eyes flickering around. "I'm a pacifist! I didn't think there would be people out here trying to kill me!" They mumbled before shivering and stepping away from the two Toketsu, reaching up to rub their upper arms. "We should start moving! I wish I'd brought a coat with me, you two are very cold." Verdance just seemed to be panic talking as they weren't sure if someone else was going to jump out and try and murder them. They snapped their head around and then started to head further into the canyons, they were getting pretty close to their next location anyway.
The canyons had fallen silent once more, no movements, no falling rocks... There was still a lurking feeling of dread but they didn't seem to be attacking anymore, whoever they were. *********************** ~A message to all~ I am always available to help if you need it! | Yuki took one last look around, making sure there wasn't another strike about to happen at another angle. "Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if someone's pacifist or a warmonger. There's always someone out there seeking to hurt another.", she said. She made sure to keep a looking around, occasionally looking above or behind in case another stunt like that would be pulled as they made their way through. Yuki stayed some distance away so that Verdance wasn't frozen solid by the time they got to their next location. She'd feel bad if they got a cold, but that was better than dying freezing or being in a frozen coma. |

| Much like her sister, Kori hung back a little further to keep their escort being as effected by their Winter's Breath. And whilst she was breathing once again, she maintained her Frostborn Seeking attention. They knew someone was out there now trailing them and used some sort of technique on their kunai, most likely poison surely. They needed to keep their eyes out. | |
