Gobukime's Journey

While this Goblin seemed to find things without looking, the great god in the sky would ignore his ability to obtain things without first seeking them and go with the flow. Either way when he obtained the stick would notice that it was indeed quite firm, but now upon stepping out of the cave he had three options he could either head up north, go to the east or he could go to the west. Either way he would be going somewhere looking for food, after all a Goblin's gotta eat. It was ultimately up to him where he would be going, but this was the forest so it was likely that he wasn't alone out here. Fortunately it was day time so the scary monsters weren't up and about right now, but it didn't mean a little goblin like himself couldn't still die. After all it was common knowledge that Goblins were the weakest form of existence in the forest.

Weapon Obtained = Stick

"That old hoot must have some wisdom if he lived as long as he did." Kime would say that to himself as he continued to walk with the stick very silently towards the middle path. By heading out north, he was staying at the center of the great forest. As long as he did that, he was sure that nothing crazy would happen to him. And if it did, they would get a taste of that huge stick he has


-Going north

Gobukime was lucky that he tried to act stealthily as while he moved he would notice rustling coming from up ahead, if he wasn't deterred he would see two Horned Rabbits, one of which was much bigger than the other one. It looked like a young one and an adult by the looks of it with the latter nibbling on grass while the older one was on it's hind legs with it's nose in the air as if it was looking for something. Either way here was an opportunity for Gobukime to get meat seeing as they hadn't noticed him yet, but would he try to hunt a rabbit or would he instead choose not to do so, it had been a while since he ate and though he probably didn't need to eat at the moment eventually he would.

Looking at the trees that he passed, Kime decided to make some kind of a landmark to make sure that he wouldn't get lost. Every few steps, Kime would make a small marking near the root of the tree so eh would have an idea of where he went as he headed straight down the middle. "Comeon, there has to be some kind of squirrel or creature around here somewhere."

-Stalking the area and scoutin for food.-

Considering Gobukime literally discovered two Horned Rabbits which hadn't noticed him, and then not only walked past them but alerted them of his presence by muttering to himself one of the Demi-Gods probably had it out for him or something. Either way because they were alerted the Horned Rabbits would  turn towards him the bigger one would see him as a threat and would go back down on all fours before hopping towards him and attempting to gore him with it's horn. The smaller one though would remain in place, clearly allowing the other Horned Rabbit to fight off the predator rather than flee on it's own or even assist it. Whether that spoke volumes on it's confidence in the other Horned Rabbit, or just in the fact that as a herbivore they weren't particularly aggressive who knew. Or perhaps it didn't see a Goblin as such a threat that it required both of their attentions, which made sense seeing as even a Horned Rabbit was enough to kill a Goblin, much less a Greater Horned Rabbit like the one who was currently trying to impale Gobukime.

Spoiler:

The goblin looked towards the attraction of the creatures, cursing under its breath after finding out that the bigger horned rabbit had got his attention. In the meantime, Kime was moving closer towards a tree in order to position himself right as the horned rabbit began it's rampage. Kime remained light on his toes as he was trying to wait for the right moment to dodge as the horned beast continued it's charge. Timing his reaction time appropriately with the rampaging assault of the beast Kime would jump to the left and roll out of the way before the rabbit hit, all for the sake of getting it's horn stuck inside of the hard tree bark.

In the meantime, Kime would swing hard at one of the eyes of the creature as it got stuck with his stick, all for the sake of blinding it and  hiding in the bushes.

Unfortunately for Gobukime he wasn't able to completely avoid the incoming attack as the horned rabbit would cut into his side inflicting some damage though not as serious as it would have been if it hit him head on and managed to pin him to a tree. Likewise the Rabbit would end up stopping after it's attack had been somewhat successful by hopping to the right and then turning around while lowering it's head once more. Perhaps due to a combination of him being struck and the rabbit not ending up stuck Gobukime would be unable to attack and/or hide meaning now he still had to try and deal with the Great Horned Rabbit or he could attempt to flee. If he did stay and fight however it would attempt to attack him again with another charge, hopefully this time he'll be able to dodge out of the way again or find some other way of either avoiding or blocking the damage lest he end up even more hurt than he currently was.

Due to the fact that the element of surprise was taken away from Kime, with his original plan not working for some reason, he only had one option. With his trusty stick still in his hand, Kime figured that it was best to run off in order to possibly fight another day. Being the weakest of all of the races, Kime had to take his luck in whatever way that it comes in and figure out a way to escape. jumping into the thick bushes, Kimme would use his quick movements to stay out of sight and get out of the view of the horned rabbit.

Being a goblin was hard.

It seemed like this time luck wasn't on Gobukime's side as he would fail escaping the Great Horned Rabbit as it was right on his heels in fact when he dived into the Bushes it would follow suit horn first and would impale him yet again. This time it was far more dangerous than last time due to Gobukime not even bothering to dodge due to being focused on escaping from it's sight and running away. Fortunately for Gobukime it would get partially tangled in the bushes while he was dealt another injury that would make his head light as he would know that if he took another hit from the Great Horned Rabbit, he could kiss his butt goodbye while also bidding farewell to his life. Meanwhile the other Horned Rabbit would notice that the larger one was gone and would begin to hop over to where both it and Gobukime had ran off too not wanting to be left alone after all it was quite a dangerous forest.

Even though Kime was injured, he was still resilient in maintaining the final moments of his life. He wanted to be brave, but it was hard, and he was pretty scared. The only option that he had, for the time being, was to run and hide. The bushes were thick enough to hide Kime, it was good enough for Kime to swerve around and hide behind a tree silently. He waited and stayed silent, hoping that the beast didn't find him.

The Great Horned Rabbit which had been pursuing him would end up stuck in the bushes and would try and get free only to tangle itself in the bushes more and more with every moment of struggling as such when Gobukime decided to continue through and hide behind a tree he would manage to avoid notice. Meanwhile the other Horned Rabbit would end up getting to the Bushes and then staring at it's parent as she struggled to get free. Now that he had managed to escape and they were preoccupied he could either flee completely or he could try and hunt them again seeing as he was initially stealthy enough to sneak by both of them if he hadn't spoken up and this time one of the rabbits was actually stuck inside of a bush.

Due to being pretty injured after the fight with the horned rabbit, Kime decided to cut his losses and sneak back straight down the middle of the forest, closer to the den. This was done so that he could be a little closer to home, as well as forage around the area to see if he had an easier time looking for any other creature that he could hunt. Kime knew better this time around, staying very quiet while moving quickly at the same time.

Action: Foraging for food, following the trail back home

Thus the injured Goblin would cut his losses though with no food he would eventually begin to get even hungrier thus causing him to try and forage for some sort of food on his way back home so that he didn't end up going to bed hungry. Fortunately he would manage to find a berry bush only a stones throw away from the Goblin Cave and though he didn't know if they were edible if he did search the bush he would find that there were six berries that were fully grown. As for the rest well if they were safe to eat when ripe they probably wouldn't be if they were unripe like most plant weren't, but whether he wanted to take that risk to try and gather more was up to him.

Spoiler:

Taking the six berries with him, Kime would then pick the four unripe berries with a plan to use it as a trap of some kind for the next time that he went hunting. Eating two of the fully grown berries, getting something in his stomach for the trip ahead was the most important thing for Kime, starting another day in order to try again at the creatures that gave him a bit of trouble before.

"Just a bit of rest back at the cave, and we can try again tomorrow."

After that, Kime would head back home for now.

Action: -Eating two fully grown berries, taking the wripe berries.
-Seperating the ripe berries in a different cloth to not confuse them.
-Heading home.

After such an eventful day the young Goblin would make it home with no incident only his wounded pride and body being the casualties of the day, however he wouldn't be returning home empty handed nor would he be hungry like some of his other kin. Sure meat was coveted by most when all one had to eat was bugs however at the end of the day food was food after all.

Day 2 Begins when he joins this topic again unless he chooses to head out once more after returning home. Please post in the Goblin Cave to continue your topic (Time of Day if he returns = Night).

After heading out and getting a few supplies, Kime would then start to seak some vines and a big leaf that he could use as presentation. Going towards the middle and listening to grandpa goblins advice for more security, kime would lead the way along the safer route in order to search for something to wrap the vines up together to make a trap.

-Sneaking
-Looking for materials for a trap

Gobukime would begin to search for vines and he would be immediately successful however as he tried to look for a large leaf he would unfortunately not find any. Just as he was about to give up Gobukim would tap his shoulder showing that she had managed to obtain a large leaf which was almost the size of her entire body and would present it to him as she didn't know why he was looking for such things but didn't mind helping him out. Now he had vines and he had a large leaf so he could potentially build some sort of trap, either way Gobukim would watch him since out of the two of them not only was he their leader but he also was the most experienced when it came to the outside world. All she could do was nervously shift the rock she had in her hand as she was uncertain as to what they were doing out here.

Spoiler:

Seeing as kim managed to find the leaf as he managed to find the vines, Kime would smile and give her a big hug. "You are doing pretty well. I know that you are nervous, but I promised we are going teamwork through this together, right? What we are going to make here is a spring trap with some twig. Go get some nearby twigs for me and i'll knit the net here ok. Don't get so far away, i'll try to move as fast as i can so that we can be ready. We will then use the big leaf to cover the traps underneath, and i'll put the ripe berries as bait. That way, the beast would have to put it's full weight on the trap as it eats the berries, potentially get sick if it runs away. Then we attack!"

That's why kime kept one good berry, it was to throw off the senses of the beasts if it smelled something off about the ripe berries. It seemed complicated, But kime was determined to use his head.

-Attempting to knit the vines for the trap.
-Sending Kim for bendable sticks for the spring.

While Gobukime went about trying to set up his trap Gobukim would go around searching for twigs and things like that, she would come back after a little while holding about 5 twigs and looking slightly out of breath before dropping them near Gobukime. On the other hand the young Goblin really did have a knack for this sort of thing as evident by him building the trap that he had set out to build especially with her supplying the twigs for his contraption. Perhaps his set back the other day merely because he wasn't playing towards his strengths as such maybe craftsmanship was the way he should of been hunting from the beginning.

Spoiler:

Kime would then pat kim on the shoulder and show her his latest creation. "Tada! PRetty cool right? Now move quietly with me and let's get a move on. I remember where the last horned rabbits were, so maybe we can catch something good in that clearing space? " With that being said, Kime moved together with Kim in order to sneak around to the area that Kime was last in for the sake of setting up the trap to catch something. If successful with no one around, kime would set the trap up and wait.

-Sneaking back to the last area.
-If no one there, setting up trap and hiding.

Both of them would manage to hide, which was just in time as another monster had been drawn to the area by the smell of berries, a Great Horned Rabbit which had been lingering around the area would hop about smelling the berries but not seeing them. It would put it's nose forward attempting to smell out their location which would lead it to the trap that the Goblins had build with the two of them most likely waiting eagerly to see the results of the trap. As such when the Great Horned Rabbit would hop a second time this time into the trap it would cause it to spring making their endeavors a success, leaving the Great Horned Rabbit confused and having both of it's powerful hind legs immobilized.

Spoiler:

It was at this moment that Kime would make a signal to Kim in order to pick up the nearest weapon that she could find in order to join him in an ambush to the horned rabbit. Kime moved silently with his stick in his hand, bringing it across the head of the horned rabbit with as much force as he could. The fact that he caught the rabbit off guard could also play into the end result of the damage being done to the creature.

Kime came around and swung the sturdy stuck right at the eye of the beast, with the hopes of crippling it.

-Called Kim to join in ambush for damage multiplier (if it stacks when goblins ambush in packs like that)

The two would not only successfully ambush the Great Horned Rabbit but they would do so in such a way that until it was hit it wouldn't even be aware of their presence as such it was critically injured both by the strike from Gobukime's stick and the blow from Gobukim's rock however Gobukim would refrain from finishing it off as she felt that Gobukime should do it instead. Thus she would stand back to allow him the finishing blow while admiring him for his ability to successfully trap something that was larger than they were. As for the Great Horned Rabbit it couldn't escape even if it wanted to as it had sustained too many injuries and was thus too weak to escape the trap that it had been ensnared in.

Spoiler:

Giving a nod to kim, Kime would then swing his stick at the other eye of the beast as hard as he possibly could. Keeping it as simple as possible with the sudden defeat of the horned rabbit, or possible defeat, Kime would then decided to wrap up the beast with the vines that were gained from the trap and then looked over to Kim. "Let go, let's cook this somewhere safe ok? The closer to the cave the better."

-Killing the beast and asking for assistance to carry it back closer to goblin territory.

With that he had secured his first kill, against the very same Great Horned Rabbit who had almost killed him in the past. It would be a nice feeling and Gobukim would nod before trying to assist him to try and carry it back to camp. After a successful hunt like that she saw no point of lingering around more, however she now had a lot more respect for her "big bro" seeing how effective he was at hunting. They hadn't been at risk the entire time they fought the thing whereas she knew how other Goblins often bragged about how fast or quick they were to dodge the incoming horn.
