Goblin Cave

Grampa Goblin, the eldest living Goblin within the cave just got back from one of the tunnels where the younger Goblin's were not allowed to enter yet. He looked around the main den, hobbling around and picking a bug off the wall before tossing it in his mouth and gumming it to death. It had been three days since the Goblins had been born. It would probably be another generation in which barely any survived, though he had hopes for them still. He had seen many come and go within this world, and he was nearing death himself at the ripe old age of nineteen and a sixth. He picked out some bug guts from his beard before taking a seat against the wall and watched the little ones who were nearly his size, though he still towered over them by a foot when he stood up straight.

It was about time that they started going out. Though this cave had enough bugs, the bugs would surely run out with this new lot within five days if they decided to sit quietly and eat the bugs. Some of the older generation of goblins had already left the cave early that morning to begin their hunt for their own food, after all, meat was so much better than bug guts. Sadly, he had gotten too old to be able to hunt on his own, so he had to make due with eating with the children. He was doing this yet again, as the generation before that had some noteable Goblins yet all of the rest had died in various ways, some if rumor had it to their fellow Goblins out in the Great Forest. Still he knew this generation will be interesting just like the last.

"Hey! We should ditch this shelter for the home and get our own grub! You know this old timer can't take 10 steps without taking a twenty-minute nap!" If anything, there was one little goblin that yelled at the rest about their nonchalant attitudes. They were probably going to dig into some bug guts, but their lack of adventure annoyed Kime. Walking over to the old goblin, Kime would take out a small comb and go through his hair a few times. "Hey gramps, maybe i might find a squirrel or two out there if i'm lucky. You can babysit the slowpokes in the meantime!" Kime was already looking forward to going outside of the cave and seeing what's there.

"Ah, be careful the world out there is dangerous for a young Gobu like yourself." Grampa Goblin said throwing one of the water spirit stones at Gobukime and if the young goblin caught it and still was adamant about going he would just shrug. "Well if you are so set on it, try not to stray to far away from the center of the Great Forest. Otherwise you just might get yourself killed." he said before scooping another bug from the floor and pulling it's legs off and eating them individually before plopping the entire torso including it's head in his mouth.

After receiving the water stone, the young goblin would pocket it into his small trousers and give the older troll a peace sign. " I'll be alright, it isn't the end of the world. " After leaving, the using goblin would still heed the warning of being close to the center of the great forest while using his special ability to stalk through the area. As he did so, Kime would find a neat stick and give it a decent swing. "Seems firm enough..."

Haio seemed to be one of the first to awaken from what he knew, well that was until he saw a group of goblins listen to an announcement from one of the others "Is he stupid..." haio mumbled hoping only the few around him heard his comment, he continued to watch the arrogant goblin as he walked to the same person he spoke ill about "he's definitely stupid" he mumbled once again. It'd be better to move in a group considering how everything was their natural enemy "does any body want to join me, I promise you we will be able to get some type of food?" He questioned hoping to rally at least one or two of these scapegoats in case the time of a miscalculation in his plans.

Two goblins would actually raise their hands one with short hair and was one of the smallest out of the group of Goblins, while the other was a bit larger than normal and was completely bald, both looked like Goblins but rather the smaller one could be considered a looker in a normal goblins eyes the latter wasn't. Both of them would walk up to Gobuhaio before the larger one picked up a rock and would motion for them to head out of the cave rather than discuss in front of all the others. The smaller one would look unsure for a bit between the larger one and Gobuhaio but if Gobuhaio agreed and walked out of the cave as well then the smaller goblin would follow suit.

Jack's stomach growled as he looked down at one of the bugs he had collected. He would then watch as others left the cave to find something better. He wanted to go out but he wasn't that stupid, maybe a little but not that bad. Hunger hadn't driven him to insanity just yet. What Jack was interested in were the other tunnels. He would sigh and stand, chomping down on his bug little by little as he walked around their little cave at a slow pace, acting like he was looking for more bugs. He would pick some whenever he found them but his main goal was to try and get behind the old goblin.

Gobujack would manage to find a couple more bugs for him to eat, keeping his hunger at bay though it didn't do much for his leveling, still as he walked around Gobugramps would see that at least one of the young Goblins was actually following his advice before he would turn his attention back to the others who lingered about. This gave Gobujack an opportunity as he could either head into the tunnels now that Gobugramps wasn't looking or he could go up to him and speak to him like the others had before him. Either way his approach was different from the others Goblins that was for sure, as only two in the previous generation of Goblins had done so prior to him.

Jack was most curious why the other caves were off limits and now that he had the chance he would take it. He waited for a second before skulking into the shadows of the cave to avoid being seen as he went off to explore the rest of the tunnels.

Well while Gobujack wasn't the most stealthy of Goblins he luckily wouldn't alert Gobugramps to him sneaking away and heading down the forbidden tunnel thanks to the ineptitude of his fellow Goblins that is. Either way as he walked he would notice that the tunnel would eventually split into three, and such now he would have to choose which he wanted to go into seeing as there wasn't any writing that could clue him into which was which. If he decided to look down however he would see that the one to the right seemed to be the most traveled while the one to the left followed it by a close second, the one in the center however gave off a weird scent.

Jack was at a split in his journey. Unsure of where to go he closed his eyes and spun three times. Upon opening them he found himself facing the left path and then looked back at the middle where the smell was coming from. He was most curious but decided that left was his path since that's where his randomness had landed. He began to proceed forward at a casual pace with his ears listening out for any sounds.

As Jack head down this particular cave he would eventually come to an area with several chunks of stone seemingly mined out of it, other than that it was a dead end though a single pick-ax could be seen off in the distance seeing as the area was quite a large cavern. It would seem someone perhaps one of the older goblins had begun mining out this section of their cave but stopped for whatever reason, either way there wasn't much to be found here. Unless of course Gobujack had an interest in mining and wanted to try his hand at using the pick-ax for such a thing, otherwise he would have to double back and head to one of the other two tunnels instead.

Jack was in awe at the area in front of him. He had never seen anything before like this in his entire life. His eyes were almost immediately drawn to the pickaxe which he would walk toward and pick up. This looked sharp and was definitely better than sticks and rocks that the other Goblins often used. He would examine it before looking at the walls that looked like they had been dug. He didn't know why they were like that, but he wanted to test out what this weird object could do so he tried to find an undamaged portion of the wall and swung it with both hands at the wall to test it out.

Due to Gobujack being unfamiliar with the use of a pickax he didn't get the proper angle to utilize it and thus when he swung the tool it would hit at an angle causing him to be unable to do anything more than just chip the rock that he struck. Still he was correct in that this weapon was more suited for combat purposes than a mere rock as whomever left this here had left a pretty nice one. Well not by any stretch of imagination but as far as this newborn Goblin was concerned this pickax was the best one possible, especially since he hadn't seen any others and thus wouldn't be able to know if it sucked or not. It was now up to him whether he would continue to attempt to use it once more or he would take it with him and try and explore one of the other paths. Either choice presented him with an opportunity for growth that wasn't available to those within his generation seeing as none of them had decided to venture further into the den besides himself.

Jack's hands stung a little from the swing. He inspected where he hit and was a bit disappointed in the damage. Then again it was far better than the results of using rocks and sticks on the walls in the cave. He decided to keep it but for now his curiosity got the best of him. He didn't know how long he had left before gobugramps would become aware of him being here so he decided to retrace his steps back to the triple fork. He was curious about the odd smell but decided to leave that for last and instead went down the path that seemed to be most traveled.

As he went down the path most traveled he would come across a pathway and a door seemingly made of stone which didn't seem like it would be able to be moved by someone of his current build but either by more than one person or a rather strong individual. Still he could always use the pick to break it down, that is if he wanted his trespassing to be known for sure, either way this path seemed to provide a road block in regards to him proceeding further which left three more options for him. Either he could try to go back to where the rest of the Goblins were, he could check out the last room or he could head back to where he found the pickax and hide out there rather than venture out into the world outside as the bugs were also in that room as well.

Jack was annoyed by the door. He knew it would take too long with the pick due to his experiment earlier and with how often this path was used he was sure to be caught. He would just have to wait till he was stronger and then return. While he still had the chance he decided to back track and take the final path, the middle one with the strange smell.

This time he would note that this room was more dimly lit than the others, and the strange smell would increase the further down the tunnel he got to, eventually he would come across a medium sized room which contained 3 individuals other than himself. All three of them seemed to be human women completely unclothed each of them with lifeless eyes despite still being alive themselves. They were dirty, with their hair a mess and the scent that he had smelled previously became more apparent when he looked at them as it was a combination of filth and dried up semen as their purpose within this portion of the cave was quite apparent. One of these potentially could of even been his mother, and one of them was actually currently visibly pregnant at least more than the other two seeing as he had no idea if they were also pregnant or not.

Jack looked at the three curiously. He was still too young for the urges that took hold of the elder goblins. Though their looks really disturbed them. He wasn't sure what to make of this situation, plus he was beginning to feel hungry again. Jack held his pickaxe up to the throat of one of the girls contemplating if he should eat them or not. He was about to go through with it when a thought crossed his mind. If Jack did kill one then the others would definitely know he was back here. What should he do... Jack was unsure but decided to lower his pickaxe for now. This was quite the interesting cave, he wanted to practice more with his pickaxe but now that he had a weapon he could hunt a little at least. He decided to head back to then den, stopping for only a second before heading for the exit to the cave if he wasn't stopped by gobugramps.

[Exit]

Waking up was normal even if for the first time, Eron would open his eyes and despite it being dark he could make out the shapes of some others like him, this was not his first time seeing them and he figured it would not be the last time. But for the most part Eron decided it was time to get up lifting himself off the ground and before thinking he would start running forward before bumping into a wall.

"Ow"

A bug was above him but it did not look very tasty, of course he eat them before but he knew there had to be better food about due to the older and smarter of his kind disapearring when they were hungry. Following there footsteps would only be suitible and Eron would do just that making sure to find two sturdy sticks before following the way the older goblins had went.

Gobu gramps would notice one of the sleeping Goblins wake up with a start and then run into a wall, causing him to snicker and then watch as the Goblin quickly left the area but not after picking up two of the sticks another Goblin had been gathering from outside but left by the wall. It was sad none of the younger ones even tried to talk to him to try and learn from him but that was just the way of the world maybe when they returned later in the day scarred from their adventures outside they would be more eager to seek his knowledge until then however he would just have to wait and bide his time.

"Hey losers! I brought you back some food! Share amongst yourselves, ok?" Kime laid out a bit of the fruit on the floor and kept the tripes and at least one piece of fruit for himself. That way, he was still being caring about the other little people in the cave that didn't have the guts to leave by themselves. "I got a hurt a little bit, but i'm still the bravest ok?! Make sure you call me big brother for now on, if you do, i'll go find something even tastier next time.

Three Goblins would come forward and take the berries from him but they wouldn't share with others, in fact one of them would quickly eat the berries and then look at Gobukime hungrily thinking that he could take him. The other two would turn to that Goblin and glare at him angrily causing him to back off and head to the other side of the cave. "Thanks for the food big bro.I'm Gobusera, and she's Gobukim but she doesn't speak born mute." One of them said to him introducing herself as Gobusera and both of them would move closer to him now that he had said he would bring food to those who would call him big brother.

Gobuhaio returned to the cave with gobujack trailing behind him, carrying his portion of victory. Gobuhaio would make his way to gobugramps "by any chance is there a way to fix my arm?" He questioned, if not gobuhaio would probably have to sleep with it and pray for the best. Whether or not he got his arm healed, he use light steps to sneak away to explore the cave.

"Ah, that looks pretty bad, you should probably sleep it off before it gets worse also make sure to not go to sleep hungry so that your body can recover the most while you sleep. Usually if you go to bed hungry your body won't heal anything but the slow death of your body by starvation." Grampa Goblin said seeing Gobuhaio's injuries and wincing. Even though he was stuck as a Goblin having never killed anything before and managing to scrounge for food and make due from the level-ups he got by surviving day by day until he fully grew up he didn't regret it. After all those who hunted either returned like that at some point, or died just like the two Goblins who had followed Gobuhaio outside the first time probably had.

Meanwhile Gobujack would move over to his own corner avoiding the girls who were flocking around Gobukime who was sharing his berries and would begin to scarf down his share of the Sickle Mantis much to the envy of those Goblins who hadn't gotten any food. Once he was done eating he would look around having eaten everything but the sickle blade of the predator before tossing it causing some of the other Goblins to scramble for it while he found a place to sleep.
