Shijin stood before the large castle and looked up at it in awe. Onko had told him about this place, how it could allow him to reach levels of power he would not be able to reach otherwise. He could touch upon his clan's Alchemy without being branded a monster, though he would not be allowed to create golems, which was slightly disappointing. He found the art of Bio-Alchemy to be absolutely fascinating and it drove him mad that he couldn't even look upon it's splendor. He found his mood quickly becoming dour so he shook himself and walked across the bridge and into the castle.

He walked through the castle, taking his time getting to where he wanted to go. He knew the location of what he was looking for, he just wanted to explore a little bit. His curiosity always got the better of him. He just had to know. He then reached the room where he would receive his mark They should call this the Cursed Chamber. Or the Accursed Atrium. I suppose it isn't an atrium...still it sounds cool. He thought absently to himself as he wandered over to one of the projections. He looked at it, a beautiful woman with glassy pale skin and the same kind of hair. She also bore four beautiful wings. He knew her to be a Fae. He kept walking, looking at all of the displays. Vampire, Werewolf, Demon, Undead and Harpy. All good choices but not the one he was looking for. Then he came to it, the only plain looking projection there: The Magician. This would open up so many doors for him and set him on his path to discovering his own form of immortality. All he needed to do was get the mark.

The moment the young boy had entered the room a blood-curdling scream could be heard from behind a rather ominous looking door to his left. Many people come to the castle seeking the God Queen Carmen’s blessing but not many leave in one piece physically and mentally. Occasionally there would be that one person whose body would reject the curse mark, causing them to go berserk due to the mark corrupting their minds. On a good day this would happen to someone who chose something harmless, like the mummy curse mark and on a bad day it would happen to someone who chose the werewolf curse. Incidents like these have been frequent ever since they had created the new curse marks. It wasn’t case where the seals weren’t created perfectly, as Pandora had the best Juinjutsu specialists in the world, it was the mere fact that the subjects were weak mentally and their bodies couldn’t handle the drastic change. But regardless of the outcome, they were making strides.

“Can I help you kid?” A feminine voice said as she exited the room. The woman was dressed in white lab coat that was drenched in blood. Her crimson hues examined the boy from head to toe as if she was summing up his entire existence. “I’m somewhat busy right now so if you’re looking for a mentor I’d suggest you go somewhere else.” She stated rather coldly as she washed the black blood off her hands.

The scream didn't unnerve him in the slightest, it only made him curious. As the woman exited the room, Shijin tried to get a look at what was beyond but all he glimpsed was a wall bathed in blood. He was just itching to go in there and take a look at the scene, if that was the aftermath of someone receiving a curse mark and not boding well, he wanted to see it. It seemed so fascinating.

Shijin dragged his attention away from the door and looked at the woman in her lab coat, his head held high as to give himself the appearance of belonging there. He didn't want to seem like some lost kid "[color:cbb9=6633ff]I am not here for a mentor, though someone in your line of work would fit any mentoring needs I would have just well. I am actually here to receive a curse mark. The Magician to be exact." He may be young, but he wouldn't be talked to like a kid. He held more knowledge within his mind than any normal adult could dream of having. That deserved at least a sliver of respect.

“The Magician huh? Interesting, the last person to choose that seal was the Bloody Ruler’s apprentice.” The pink hair woman said as turned off the faucet. She had always hated the feeling of black blood against her skin which was why she had hated working with acolytes but that was a whole different story. Cracking her neck, she would remove the tinted lab coat and tossed in the bin. If the boy was paying attention he would notice a rather large curse mark that was situated on the lower left side of her neck. “Let’s get this over with kid, take your shirt off and get on the bed.” She said with a disinterested tone pointing to the bed that was in the corner of the room. The moment he had hoped on the bed she would pull up a stool and sat in front of him. “This is gonna hurt.” She admitted before activating a seal in the middle of palm, she would then place her palm on the center of chest and forcefully injected a large amount of chakra which would surge throughout his body destroying his chakra system to make way for his new system, Gelel. Of course having one’s chakra system would not be a pleasant experience as such the pain young Shinji would be feeling would be equivalent to someone ripping off his skin and then sewing it back on with a dull needle. The woman had fully expected the kid to pass out due to the trauma and as such she would stand on her two feet and looked to go back behind the black door. “I’d advise you to rest for a couple days so that your body can adapt the curse mark. If you have any further questions, queries or concerns please feel free to reach out to us again. Enjoy your new life.”

Shijin did as he was told and removed his shirt to lay down upon the bed. His mind began to mull over the black blood upon the woman and the curse mark upon her neck. He wondered what the curse mark was for. When the woman spoke to him, he brushed it off. Curse marks altered your body all at once, of course there would be pain. When the woman began, he felt a warm tingle within his chest, as if he had just taken a sip of hot cocoa on a cold winter night. But then the pain exploded throughout his body, like fire lancing through his veins. It was excruciating, it was as if someone was ripping him apart at the seams whilst at the same time trying to sew him back together. He wanted to scream but his voice wouldn't come, its like his body was not under his control. All he could feel was the pain, all he knew was the pain. Then, almost as sudden as the fire came he was drenched in a sea of ice. He felt numb and brittle, as if he would fracture if he tried to move. He then felt the hand move away and every part of him was heavy. He could barely blink without it draining him. He had just enough energy to push a few words past his heavy lips "Thank....you...." He was then dropped into a world of blissful darkness.

Shijin woke up what seemed like hours later and found that he could move with ease now. All traces of the pain were gone and he was glad. His eyes still felt heavy and his movements a little sluggish but he was alive. He knew now why there was a bed in the room. He grabbed his shirt and slipped his shirt over his head and walked across the room to the door he entered through. He made his way through the building and left. He felt the new power within his body. It was so different from chakra, chakra was familiar and he knew the feel of it. This was foreign and sang songs of creation and destruction in his veins. He couldn't wait to see the untapped power that was now within him "Absolutely fascinating..." He chuckled and walked of, as happy as a kid in a candy store.
