The Legends Triumphant Return

It had been a while since Ka had been back home, well it seemed like a long time to him anyways. The smell of the ocean filling his nostrils as the ship cut through the waves, the rocking of the boat almost hypnotizing, and here Ka was with one of the people he despised most in this world. However he wasn't going to let the company he is with keep him down, he was about to take the long elevator ride down to his home deep within the Abyssal ocean. Or so he thought... It wasn't long after departure that Ka had realized that their course was wrong for going back to the domes, which he thought was rather odd, but would sum it up to a detour due to a storm or some other form of danger. That was until the ship would stop at a chain of islands that was apparently the new Dipugakure. "What the fuck is this shit?" Ka would say as people started to leave the vessel, dumbfounded by as to why the entire village was moved. Seriously what the fuck.

"Oh...you didn't get the memo? Didn't you know during the war with the Dobutsu the domes got really damaged so the council decided to relocate Dipugakure. The only dome which was still relatively intact was the main one the others probably had only a couple of years before they would crack and since the Toketsu are mercenaries now and the Sasori left for the Shogunate they wouldn't be able to be repaired like they used to be." Jazz said, masking her own surprise sure this was the first time she had been here as well but she had been informed of the move and given co-ordinates it was one of the reasons why she had escorted him to the new location of the village. Genin just didn't have the clearance yet still she knew it would take him a bit to adjust so she would wait for him to collect himself while concealing her snicker at his reaction. "Come on, lets head to the mission office so we can get directions to your clan district. Unless you want to explore on your own? I have done my job of escorting you after all." she would make a show of yawning as if she were bored and the trip was a pain. Honestly it was it could of gone better but things complicated it and by things she meant Ka's actions throughout the trip and truthfully she wouldn't mind heading off on her own. But he was still her teammate so she felt she at least needed to help him locate his own clan compound, it didn't help that the mission office was where she needed to go anyways.

"Who could forget the Dobutsu attack, we nearly killed each other that day. That was the only time I've seen you afraid. I just thought that the domes would have lasted a lot longer then a couple years." He said referring to the time that Roxas had threatened to cast Jazz and Ka out of the ASN thus making them ineligible for becoming the heads of their clans, although he wanted to test this new Jazz's memory, see if she could actually remember things from their past. He would disembark from the ship and look around the island, trying to find the closest mail center so that he could mail the first part of his shipment to Jazz's mother. The next thing to do on his list was to make a few purchases, however he would need to find his new house. Gods why would they move without a clue as to where he lived now. "Might as well go to the mission center, need to get something lined up to get those damn Cephalos and Blagonga"

Jazz didn't remember such an occasion but she decided to play it off with a scoff. Hn. What's more surprising is that the Domes didn't shatter any Rikigaku could tell you that. If not for the actions of the 1st and 2nd Abisukage making the domes so well centuries ago such an attack would have sunk Dipu." Jazz always thought Dipu nin were either suicidal or bat shit crazy it was even worse than Haka nin whoever go tthe bright idea to put their village at the bottom of the ocean on the premise of, "they'll never attack us here" must of been smoking something. It was just not tactically sound in regards to an escape plan, sure shinobi were sturdy and all but really? What the pressure wouldn't kill, the sea creatures would eat and the leftovers would probably drown before reaching the surface without a mount by their side unless they were Zireh. At least now that they were islands they were still remote and didn't bear the risk of having the dome crack and water drowning them all several leagues below sea level.

"Yeah good luck with that." she said continuing her walk she wouldn't be accompanying him this time, she had enough of his antics for the time being and had shit to do on her own time. The moment she could find a mission that'll get her back to Anguish she would be taking it it was bad enough she had been stuck in Dipu with the rest of her team away from her family during her genin days but she would be leaving again eventually because of her becoming an ambassador. Which meant she needed to spend as much time with them as she could not just because she missed them but also to consolidate her power within the clan, sure she had made a name for herself already but she knew from her experience as clan head from Styx's memories that social interaction and bonding with the individual clan members was just as important as power and respect. Unfortunately Lynx only remembered the latter and thus the clan was a bit colder than she had left it. "Stronger though, no matter it'll only endear me more to them when I offer affection in addition to strength, unity among the clan is integral in this current political climate, who knows how long this Allied Shinobi Nation thing will last whether because of internal conflict or if the other factions decide to attack. It's best to have other options just in case.

Well wasn't she just the chipper one about the new island formation that made Dipugakure, guess she was just as upset about it as he was. Hell they might as well have changed the name as well, couldn't very well call it the village hidden in the deep anymore, but what to name it? Meh problems for another person. At this moment in time Ka was more preoccupied with thoughts of the future, what was he going to do now that he had failed the chunin exams? No way the clan would truly respect him for the show he put on during the finals, his mother had given him an earful and had invaded his mind mere moments after his defeat, so asking his clan for help would be out of the question. His own team was out of the question of course, Jazz regretting taking Ka's offer to come back to Dipu ever since they entered the desert. Then again Ka didn't exactly make it a pleasant adventure, causing two cave ins within seconds of each other and trapping them in a labyrinth tunnel system. That pretty much ensured Jazz departed back to Anguish as soon as possible, which left Ka with Ada, someone that Ka would now make a habit to avoid due to their philosophical differences, so he won't even attempt that one for the time being. "I guess after this we won't be seeing each other after a while, with you going back home I'm assuming" He said making his way towards the mission center, well at least he hoped he was going in the right direction.

Jazz would continue walking scanning the area in search of where the new mission center was, sure she could of taken to the rooftops and traveled that way like a real shinobi but since Ka was just walking she decided to humor him and do the same. "Yep. I have clan duties, once I'm a jonin, I'll be able to transition from clan heir to clan head. I merely need to complete a few more missions to change from my probationary jonin title into a real jonin." Jazz said her hands still behind her neck as she tilted her head a bit to crack it along with her back. As they continued walking she would see a building with the Kanji for mission noting that it was rather quick but understanding why since a mission office being not to far from the entrance was convenient. "I'll keep an eye out for Cephalos or Blangonga missions for you. Found the mission office so I'll see you later" she said before pointing at the building and increasing her pace.

Once she got in she would make a beeline for the attendant and tap the desk to get said attendants attention. "Jazz D. Kukinorite, Probationary Jonin requesting a B-rank mission preferably one that I can turn in said mission completion in anguish. A C-rank with the same parameters is fine as well." She didn't exactly wait for Ka to catch up since she left him behind on purpose, their travel had completed and now she wanted to be on her way back to Anguish as soon as possible.

Ka would watch as his former team mate take off towards the new mission center of Dipu, and couldn't help but grin at the thought of freedom from his dysfunctional team that seemed to be almost as glad to be rid of him. Perhaps this would finally grant him the opportunity to interact with some of the other teams, then again he could just try and play it solo for the foreseeable future, who knows and I right? Anyways Ka would walk in the direction that Jazz had ran towards, taking his time to try and gain his bearings on this new location. It was still strange to have Dipu out in the open like this, was there even an old Dipu to return to? And if so what was it being used for now? Questions best left for another time, perhaps he would go and see for himself and find out what exactly has happened since he left for the chunin exams. Once Ka would make it inside of the Mission Center he would arrive just as Jazz was finishing her request for a mission, so he would follow suit. "By any chance are there any beast hunting missions? Preferably Cephalos or Blangonga. Also do you happen to know where the Jiko clan compound is located now? It's been a while since I have been back"

The bored receptionist would look up from her card game. Playing clock, or whatever the 12 pile thing was. "Missions? And would you both be together? I mean like, we do totally have a Cephadrome capture quest. I think that's like a B-Rank or something, Bu-t, I'm not really sure and stuff." She would resume her game, placing a further four cards before starting up her top of the head mission assumptions again. "I also don't know about clans n' whatever cause they don't pay me to do it, so just like check the clan register on that table over there. Oh and there is also like another mission in Anguish that I forgot about, its in that sexy sounding Oasis of Dreams. B-Rank, some kid wandered into the area and like most people who go in, he never came back. Gotta go save him or find a body or something." Okay, now she was full time back in her card game, she was done with these two little kids who couldn't possibly be jonin while so young.

"Yeah, I'll take the second mission if you don't mind." Jazz was kind of annoyed at being disregarded it wasn't as if she wasn't wearing her flak jacket which would immediately identify her as being at least Chunin Level. But you know, not like one paid any attention to what she was wearing but she wasn't about to let some desk shinobi annoy her to the point of lashing out and thus kept her voice business official. Seriously though, even from Styx's memories it was like they always hired those shinobi who couldn't be bothered actually doing their jobs as the ones handing out missions. Apparently however many decades as it had been since she was alive and still they were the same as usual. I'll see you around Ka. she would say once she got the mission scroll at least, before heading out she didn't want to stick around any longer than she had to. She had things to do after all and a mission quota to obtain so she could earn her newly earned promotion.
