PostSubject: CLEANING up [MT]   CLEANING up [MT] Icon_minitime1st July 2015, 3:58 pm

Jah was walking through the grasslands making his way north. He was headed towards Oserotto Town for a simple mission doing some handy work for a famous blacksmith in his shop. Some would call this a bore but jah had other things in mind, the elderly paved a path for him to live in this beautiful setting it was only right he gave something back to the community. His chains clacked as he arrived in town,  his long hair was tied up as he knew in cleaning he would get dirty. Instead of his normal attire he would settle for some shorts and a plain T-shirt;  he also wore a smile but that was because of the beautiful scenery in his presence.

The architecture was amazing as he was always amazed at the town, he thought of the various other places of the world and how it would look. Passing up food places and casinos it would be awhile before he found the blacksmith's shop. He took a deep breath before walking in,  Jah opened the door and a big wave of dust rushed in his face which made him cough but he would ultimately tough it out for the old man which at the moment he was waiting to show his face, he seen a lot of old weapons and what looked like relics seemed interesting at the most he hoped to have a little history lesson about them and the blacksmith . Oi I'm here to help clean up the shop, anyone here I really can't see in this place.

"Oi. No duh." A voice called back as some banging and clanking crashed out from the back of the shop. Some unrecognizable grumbles spouted out words that very well have sent a man to jail for saying out loud quickly followed the banging. Finally a shape, human in nature sure but seemingly only a foot tall shot out from behind some boxes. "Jesus man." The short tyke said as he dusted himself off. "You leave for a few decades and come back and its like you have to dig yourself out of the dang place." The dwarf grumbled again as he slowly made his way to the front of the shop to meet his guest.

Finally after a few more minutes of grumbling he did in did make it the front. Every tried walking fifty feet with three inch legs. Takes a while. With the hardest task of actually making it to the front of the shop was done, the second task of climbing to the top of the large counter, just the right of the front door. A rope strung from a mount on top of the desk was his way up, and it seemed like he'd done this a million times at the speed he could climb. Finally on his perch he sat himself down, at just the right height, to look Jah in the eyes. "It took ages for one of you damn brats to take up my request. Well." The man said waving to his shop. His other hand lifted a pipe to his mouth and with the other, after he finished waving, struck a match to light it. "I could give you an introduction *puff puff* but honestly its just ganna take *puff puff* to long to explain so just get digging." He started to spout out at Jah before finally exhaling a sublime amount of smoke that quelled his anger a bit. "Dust and dirt every where, take your pick where to start. Just get it clean. Do a good job and something special might come out of it you hear." The tiny man said from his perch.

Jah still slightly thrown off by the smoke but could hear the mans reply along with a lot of racket and grumbling , until his shadow appeared he got a slight image of his figure. He was short in size, moving to Jahs right he climbed up and now was eye to eye with him. After the man gave his request and incentive Jah went to cleaning up grabbing a duster to clear this place of dust. While dusting the place down it would pop into his head that he was being rude not introducing himself, it rubbed him the wrong way. I'm sorry, I am Jah..
.. Jah Zankokuna, it's really nice to meet you sir..I apologize for someone not coming clean your shop earlier, I don't know why they wouldn't this place looks like heaven for one wanting to know about smithing and things of the past. You did say it's been ten years since you've been here right?? And might I know you name sir for memories sake?

He would try to make small talk with the blacksmith while still cleaning up and by this time he would be dusting the shop. Now clearly he could see what was really in there and it was fascinating, next he would start to order the boxes spread all around into a neat and orderly pile. He found this work to be helpful in teaching him patience and taking care in which he did things. As he did so he felt his confidencea in his ability rise, this mission seemed to be perfect for him and he was happy and content doing odd jobs to help his fellow man out; what extraordinary things can come out of doing simple things.

The old man was trying to do his best to quell the anger within him as Jah started to clean. Dust kicked up everywhere, and the boy didn't seem to care in the least. "Are you serious?" The man said coughing, not from his pipe but from the dust kicked up into the air without anywhere to go. "Names don't mean *cough cough* anything at a time like this. *Cough* Jesus who open the door, a window something come *cough* come boy. Where is all this going to go without some god damn ventilation. Jesus." The man said lifting his pipe back to his mouth, before instantly ripping it away and spitting at the ground. "Dust every damn where. Put my damn pipe out." The man said slamming the head of the pipe down knocking out the 10% ashe 99% dirt. Yea do that math.

Meanwhile outside traffic on the road began to pick up. A reasturaunt across the street was seeing its first customers fill its walls and over flowed to the tables outside. "Meh losing money the longer this kid takes." The man grumbled as he looked out a dirt coated window to the street while packing his pipe again.

Jah was embarrassed but he kept his cool, he didn't want to make things worse by getting his negative emotions involved with the rude old man. Names didn't matter huh, if that's how he wanted it then it would be this way; probably was giving him a hard time for the built up dust created by the old mans direction. By his cough it really messed with his health so he swiftly went to open the entrance door and the windows to attempt to truly relieve the shop of the dust once and for all.

Totally sorry gramps I really hope you can forgive me for my mistake of not properly ventilating before dusting the shop. I will do my best the rest of the job and scream down the streets and through every business in this town letting them know your back; whadda ya way old man? Jah would get back to cleaning before the old man could answer as he had to finish the job first and foremost, hopefully his effort was enough to raise the old man's spirit back up cause he knew he fucked up big time with the dust bowl mishap. His nerves ran high for a bit before he calmed himself down.

"Don't no one need you screaming nuthin." The old man said as he re-lit his pipe. He game a puff or two before holding his pipe out in front of himself and exhaled smoke. He watched the boy carefully as he moved through the shop 'cleaning' things. Why are children always so horrible at doing anything... The old man thought to himself as he took another puff of his pipe. Still thank god someone finally came to do this work. He didn't think he could hold out any longer without doing some form of cleaning. "Hey move that rack outside. The simion brothers like the sunlight and god knows I haven't given them that in a while. Just be careful not to touch Bastion. He ain't to friendly to others." The old man said as he pointed to a honestly normal looking hat rack, with a few chain like weapons hanging off them. Next the rack on the wall hung a bladed weapon that seemed to have thousands of metallic teeth, of course coated in dust. "And when you get to them out in the fresh air, pull Magestun off the wall and let him bask in the sun as well. Old thing yaps louder than I do about never seeing the sun." The man said as he pointed up on the wall to an old world katana, blade wrapped in cloth instead of a formal sheathe. The old man continued to grumble looking out at the restaurant across the street again. The pace had picked up over there, but something unusual was about it. He just couldn't put his hand on it yet.

Jah bust out laughing at the old man's response as it wasn't much more he could do. Slightly uncomfortable from the prying eyes but it helped him work better to be honest, after the elder told him to move the hat rack with chained weapons on it he would do just so. While carefully moving the rack with the Simon brothers on it he would see Bastion covered in dust with it's many sharp teeth, it was a sight to behold anyway. He would gently move the brothers outside like gramps said to, next it would be the old looking katana wrapped in cloth which he had to move.

He would jump up and grab the old katana off the wall landing softly off the ground with precise movement as he didn't want to mess up and drop it on the floor. With success he would bring the katana outside to get some much needed fresh air, in his eyes he completed the task with efficiency. Gramps what is with all the names for the swords, does that mean they are alive or do they have a story behind their names? Been seriously curious about it since you said Magestun was complaining about no sunlight getting. And another thing what is with the store across the street? Still making small talk like it was the thing to do, but he just wanted to see where the old man's head was at.

The old man gritted his teeth as the young boy started to laugh. It was unsettling. What the hell did he have to laugh about. The old man thought to himself but let it pass without letting anything slip out. His eyes was still out the window at the place across the street. That unsettling feeling wasn't going away any time soon it would seem. The old man tapped his piped spilling ash into a bowl again as he continued to let the boy work without speaking up. At the very least, even with this bad feeling, the boy listened and worked. Was a very good sign. Then his questions came in. Why do they always have to ask questions? the man grumbled in his head as he rubbed his temples. "Everything has a name." The man said plainly as he put his pipe into a box for safe keeping. "Your parents, I'm assuming you have parents, names you there for you are alive right. Its how the world works. Everything has a name. Everything has a life." The man said as he hopped down and headed off to the back of his shop at a very slow pace. "Keep cleaning. I'm take a nap." The man said as he reached a back room.

It seemed like Jah had hit a nerve, a bad one add that; how unnerving it was dealing with the elderly or maybe it was Jah so he would remain quiet until asked to do otherwise. The man answered his questions and went to the back to take a nap, so Jah went on to shine everything in the store. It took a good thirty minutes to finish doing that which made him start to organize things in the shop not touching things he thought was most important to the blacksmith in between times he would constantly checking on the rack and katana making sure they we're still in place. He would finish up organizing and give the shop a great sweeping, dusting, shining until he felt it was above the old mans liking then he would sweep in front the shop making the shop look brand new. Afterwards he would sit by the weapons outside and meditate until the blacksmith awoke to check his work and give any request to do more, basking in the sun he was at peace and happy reflecting on the day which was a good one.

It would appear that the boy had done an amazing job keeping an eye on the things outside as he cleaned inside as they were left untouched the entire day. The man remained in the room the entire time, not making a sound. Not a soul came by the shop, not surprising since it was in a bad place and very unadvertised. The heat had warmed the old bones of the Katana to perfection, quelling anything living. All in all it was a peaceful day. The question came down to what next?

The sun began to set on the day, and the streets began to clear out slowly. The cafe across the street cleared out and the servers were wiping down the tables outside. Seems like all in all it was a job well done. Mission complete. Everything from here was in Jah's hands. What was he going to do next?

Jah had finished his meditation looking up noticing that the sun was setting as his face showed signs of bliss. He focused his attention towards the cafe as it was closing down seeing the workers wiping down the tables most likely finishing their shift. He would get up dusting himself and begin to move the weapons back in the shop in their rightful place, the he would go towards the back of the shop where the old man had went to rest and knock on the door. Hey gramps I finished up, wanted to say goodbye to you before I made my way off. You awake in there? Jah would wait a few minutes for the old man to respond before he made his way back to his house.

Jah's time outside opened up a nasty windowed opertunity for some select people. *Knock knock knock* Jah's taps seemed to echo in the emptiness of the room. Not a sound could be heard on the other side of the door. Jah's call fell on deaf ears as again not even a obese rat could be heard on the other side of the door. It was, creepy, in a kind of dead air way. A metallic scent would fill the air coming from the cracks around the door. The smell just starting to grow and loft into the air of the back room, but within a days time would have the entire shop coated in its metallic smell. So Jah had some possible roads to take. His mission was done. He could simply return to the village and collect his pay. Then again he could investigate the smell. He could attempt to steal from the shop, possibly even find something of some use to him or someone else, or he could see why the grumbling old man had finally fallen silent.

Jah didn't want to interfere with the old mans sleep, he felt like his job was done anyway. He decided to pack it all up and go see the rest of the town, it might have a lot to offer the young man. He also heard of this new ranch opening up in the crimson grasslands, maybe the owner had work for a low yakuza prospect. Any who Jah would close up the shop for the old man and go collect his reward for his hard work as it was knowledge found in doing so; all he could do was smile as he made his way to the xel.
