Turning over a new leaf

Maxi leaned against the dorm of his dorm chewing a piece of gum. A lot had happened since he joined the academy. He had thought coming here was a good idea but it was the complete opposite. In his first year he had managed to get into a fight with a bunch of wandering kids, he managed to only pass two classes out of his six, and to top it all off he didn’t even qualify for the genin exams. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he ran his hand through his hair. Even though his family understood that he had difficulties adjusting to life in the academy, he was hugely disappointed in himself. He always thought of himself as a friendly person yet he had no friends. He thought that he was more than capable of passing his choice of classes. But he failed most of them and was held back because of it. Maybe he truly wasn’t cut out to be an academy student. He felt like a failure in the long line of shinobi that was before him, and that feeling alone made him depressed.

Maxi sat on top of the roof as he watched the new genin congratulate each other as they began forming teams. The familiar feeling of disappointment began washing over him. He was a good shinobi with a lot of promise, but why…why was he left behind? He felt the urge to scream. He was frustrated and saddened; nothing went his way since coming here. Sick of the display below him he left the roof he went back to his dorm.

It didn’t take him long for him to decide that he wanted to leave the academy and quickly packed his bags. He didn’t leave a note seeing that he never once talked to one of them. He quickly made his way to the west sea. Looking for the first boat off the West Continent.
