Gray was also one to believe in more action than study but his class would be in the form of battle. He wasn't cruel enough to have the students trying to kill each other but he needed to see what ninjutsu skills they had. Okay all you can use is ninjutsu in these battles. You use anything else and you will fail my class. He said in a stern voice, if they students wanted to learn ninjutsu then they would learn ninjutsu. The first two of you front and center. You are allowed to use 3 jutsus before the battle is over, good luck.

OOC: The first two people to post will do battle. You can only use 3 jutsus, of course only ninjutsu before fight is over.

Neo stood carelessly and walked towards the center of the room, preparing for battle. He looked over to the Sensei, wondering whether this was okay. As usual, one half of his face was covered in bandages, and for a good reason, Neo continued to stare at the instructor. Does he know about my situation? If this goes for too long, or it gets too heated, he'll lose control again. No matter, his head turned, facing his opponent, both hands in his pocket, looking like he couldn't give a shit.

Ana stood up and went to the front of the class. Even if she didn't have experience in ninjutsu just yet, she would try to work with the one technique she has for now. "I'll be participating, sensei" Once she makes it to the front of the class, she faces Neo and gets ready to spar with him.

Gray would have a boy and a girl for the opening short battle. Okay you two, now go at it. He said wanting to see what his students were made of, in terms of ninjutsu that is. This was also a way to see where to start, since he didn't know what his students used he couldn't randomly teach them jutsus, as this practice fight.

Neo sighed, still not really caring as he turned to face the girl. "It would be very good for both of us, if we finish this as quickly as possible." A small cloud formed beside him, Neo loosing the effort to stand and took to leaning on it. "Kinda cute." He said, eying the girl off as he waited for her move. I must stay calm...Calm. Neo's face was expressionless and glazed, as if lacking sleep. A hand moving up to cover his bandaged eye.

Knowing that she didn't have any ninjutsu to combat so she had no choice but to try something. "Here goes nothing" she says to herself. She concentrated her chakra and lets it loose and then charges at Neo to attack him with a soaring kick fueled with chakra coming straight at him.

Neo sighed, he didn't know much ninjutsu, had this of been taijutsu, or throwing around a chain, there would be no problem, but as far as ninjutsu goes, all he has it the natural ability of the Arashi clan. Neo had no issue moving out of the way of the attack, simply taking a step at 45 degrees and pivoting around to now face her back. The cloud beside him turning into a long, blunt rod in his hand as he swung it to strike her softly in the back. Not hard enough to deal any real damage, but enough to hopefully knock her off balance. Technically its ninjutsu...right? He shrugged the thought. Another cloud appearing beside him again.

Gray would snap his finger as a wall of ice would appear between the two, the reasoning is just from their first attacks these two seemed to be taking a nintaijutsu approach instead of the pure ninjutsu which they were here to learn. Okay. For you who seem to not have learned a ninjutsu technique yet I would stick to teaching you how to empower your other techniques with ninjutsu. Now one of you tell me what is your favorite jutsu, in your arsenal?

Another cloud instinctively popped up beside Neo, any excitement on his face dying off as he looked at the instructor. Favorite Ninjutsu within his arsenal...Not much to really choose from is there. "Thunder Clash...however it wouldn't be appropriate for this circumstance and would only delay the class further, so i would have to say the fact the clouds generate around me and a storm always follows me around, hence why the weather has been shit lately." He spoke much more then he was expecting to, however the message was sent across hopefully. The staff cloud in his hand reverted back to its original form, floating up to the ceiling to get out of the way.

"My favorite ninjutsu in my arsenal, sublimation effect" she says as she turns around and looks at her instructor. It was the only one she knew for now, and plans to use it for her future jutsus. Even if she has just one, she'll find a way to use it to her advantage against her opponents.

So you two basically have no real offensive or defensive jutsus, shame. Gray said actually disappointed in his class, he couldn't really blame them since they were so young and ninjutsu most likely not being their main. Hmm have you two ever heard of territorial combat?

Neo's eyes shifted towards the sensei once more, another cloud appearing and floating to the roof. He was getting slightly agitated due to that last fight. "No..." Neo returned his glance towards the girl...cute as she may be, he wants to kill her. The urges getting quite strong, it was difficult to hold back in his previous attack, and every minute she remains alive around him is like agony. As usual, Neo's hand covered his pre-covered eye as he turned away.

Territorial combat is where you perform jutsus to alter the terrain. So that you can put your opponents at a great disadvantage, as they will be unfamiliar. Its basically putting an area under your control. Gray would say before continuing. These techniques are usually large scale, a type of area effecting jutsus. You can have plenty of fun with them, but first tell me your chakra natures so we can have somewhere to go.

Neo didn't respond. He was already aware of this, just not the name. It is quite an interesting topic which did slightly peak his interest, only for a short moment. After all, evolving his Forecast further is quite achievable and useful. Another cloud appeared and floated to the ceiling, making five now."I'm sure you can already tell by these fucks... Neo gave a sloppy motion towards the roof before continuing, Storm. I am a half member of the Arashi Clan. His voice, despite the words, were not friendly, but nor were they angry. It was more like he was stressed, but trying to hide it.

An Arashi, they are more suited for environmental then territorial but the application is the same. Okay you should try changing the environment rather than the area. Even though changing the environment might change the area so it is all the same. Gray thought of normal clouds when it came to his Arashi student. I would suggest using your clouds like real clouds. Sending them into the sky, expanding them, then starting one of your storms to change the environment. As a bonus, add your clouds to the existing clouds to increase your range.

Neo looked up. Thinking. "Maybe i'll just try and do it in here?" Yet another cloud appeared beside him, floating up to the ceiling of the room, once it reached the top, Neo had forced the clouds to join together, then using his cloud alteration, Neo had the cloud expand and get large enough to cover then entire top half of the room. He looked at the sensei, wondering what he could do next. "I don't have lightning or water chakra."

"I'm of the Jiko clan, user of the vapor release, sensei" Ana says in a calm voice. "I plan to use my release as a strategy that works with other jutsus along the road." she added. She straightens out her jacket and then takes a deep breath.

Gray would address Ana first. Vapor? Which substance did you chose to manipulate? Gray couldn't really determine anything from just vapor release so he would need a little more. So what can you do with your clouds? Another random act that made his job harder, but at the same time if he could give them the tools to use his teachings they would excel.

Neo would look up at the ceiling, thinking about the possibilities. "The rest of the clan can do many things, however i am an abnormality..." Neo was repeating words he had heard once before, "At the current moment, i can do very little with the annoyances, i can turn them into weapons, expand them to create a mist, and contract them to make a solid. I can coat my body as a shield or a weapon as well."

"Substance....either lead or arsenic, but anyone would do for me." she replies. She goes back to her seat and waits for the class to end so she can head to her next class. "Ninjutsu, if i can utilize that into my weapons along with my vapor, i'll be able to do some damage." she says to herself.

For you two this seems more theory but I don't want either of you to forget it. Gray said pointing at Neo, the mentioned abnormality. You should try to get further control over your storm chakra. If you can start manipulating the clouds with your clouds that would grant you some big power for not a lot of chakra. Gray would then proceed to point to Ana. And you. Lead or arsenic, huh? Once you figure out which one you will be manipulating, research how either of them is used in nature. From there you should be able to get an idea of how to use them for area of effect based abilities. That should be everything that Gray had to teach them, he wanted to expose them to move AoE based jutsus but at the moment they both didn't really have any, those things just happen frankly, nothing any of them could control. Class is dismissed.

Neo nodded carelessly, walking to his table to grab his bag before walking out the door, the large cloud above on the ceiling turning into a smaller solid like state following him as he walked. There was a lot to think about, and his morning training was sure to involve this special Arashi ninjutsu training soon enough, but for now, Neo had to simply focus on his seal, as always.
