Rock uses the soul off a pseudo tai samurai allowing him to acess the use off the man's gate through the sword though the timelimit is a lot shorter it is still usefull in a time off need. He can use the first gate for 8 post the second for 7 the third for 6 and so on maxing at 1 post for the final gate, during use the blade has a aura off whay the gate was supposed to do to the user this is due to the soul off the Samurai within the blade taking all the damage from the gates.
