Authors Note & Back story:

Hey. This is my second story (I'm starting to get the hang of this I guess) is set in an alternate reality version of Naruto about four hundred years post canon. For those of you who read my first story Thorn Book ^.^ Welcome back for those starting afresh, don't worry you don't have to read Thorn Book to understand this story. Why? Oh that's simple because this is set in a completely different village so yeah its a whole new story new characters maybe a reference to other villages but otherwise completely fresh.

A common thing you'll see in my books is how they start, these stories are about the new generation and how they grow though every village will be different, you'll see different family relationships, policies etc so yeah it'll be like a fresh take on the fic's world. Anyways I hope you enjoy it ^.^

Disclaimer: Screw Disclaimers, you all know I don't own Naruto so why do I have to freaking write it all the time. ...Sorry about that outburst just..um..fed up and stuff. I also don't own Hunter x Hunter and the name Chimera Ants, a member of my forum, Xander, merely liked the concept and adopted their use for his clan.

The rocky plains stretched almost endlessly through the Land of Shadows only broken by the occasional valleys to the north and the volcanoes to the east. Hidden among the various volcanoes was a unique rock formation carved from solidified lava creating a wall which stretched high into the sky before sloping and concealing a certain village from the sun. That village was one of the five great hidden villages, its strength renown throughout the ninja world. While not the most hidden the treacherous landscape that surrounded it prevented Kaosgakure from being invaded by foreign forces ever since its founding.

The first Yamikage himself forged the village out of the natural landscape, guiding and shaping the lava flow into the wall that had survived countless attacks. Kaosgakure was not the strongest hidden village, no that title was granted only to Ibaragakure in the present and Hakagakure in the past, but what it had was essential to village survival, something that had doomed Hakagakure to its untimely destruction. Kaosgakure was renown for its military tactics, and defense, as it was the only hidden village that had not suffered a loss in their home territory. In fact the only village that could fight them to a standstill in the Land of Shadows were their bitter rivals Shigakure. Their endless confrontations due in part to the close proximity they had to each other and the Shadow Daiymo suffering from a need to constantly try and expand their territory. That was a common trait that was shared by the current Deep Daiymo hence their alliance with Dipugakure despite their differences their interests were split, Dipu wanted the sea while Kaos the land.

A boy not more than thirteen was sparring with his father, despite their relation the older man did not spare any brutality in his attacks the boy suffering countless bruises on his body. His body was visibly shaking from the damage he had sustained during the spar his legs threatening to give out, this weakness cost him as his father threw out a brutal jab to his stomach knocking him off balance and sending him flying a few feet before he hit the ground unconscious the light going out of his sapphire blue eyes. His features were soft, girlish almost his skin a pale ivory that shone in the low blue light in the training room.

The victor calmly walked over to him before lifting his leg and would stomp down halting only when a swarm of insects burst out from the boy's pores. Hmph. Is this the best you can do. Sangil. the hulking man retreated back a few steps his son's hive obviously angry at how much damage their home had been dished. They were both Shinto, a clan known for their symbiosis with tiny insect life which used their bodies as both shelter and sustenance. Xander, The larvae is weak. A harsh feminine voice rang out through the man's mind. Pity him, for our children have not the experience that we posses. the man frowned knowing the Queen was right, and turned sparing his son one glance. The two of them differed like night and day, he was a battle worn veteran shinobi, numerous scars littering his ebony flesh the most distinct being his forehead which carried a large X-shaped scar which he wore proudly as it marked his most profound achievement. While his son had a slender frame only being about five foot one, he was impressively built and towered at six foot five, his muscular frame gained by years of training. Even their eyes were different, Xander's being a reddish hazel full of passion and a fire which translated to his dominance on the battle field.

We shall continue, next week. Your genin examination is coming up, when you pass that will mark the start of your journey as a shinobi. Xander said while turning his white hair illuminated blue due to the light that filled the air. It will also mark the time for your coming of age bout. You have to earn the right to be clan head. As I have. he said before walking away, his figure retreating into the darkness..

Hours would pass before the boy finally stirred, his hive having repaired its home during his state of forced slumber. He awoke, not in the physical sense but mentally, in the arms of a girl his age, he was in her chambers within her palace, the girl smiling when he opened his eyes. It's about time you woke up Sangil. Your father can be so mean sometimes. she said as she stroked his white hair the only trait he shared with Xander. Sangil blinked before he attempted to sit up, but gave up when a sharp pain went throughout his body.

Lisa..How long have I been out? Sangil asked looking around seeing various boys attending to him and the Queen each having a distinct set of antenna, Lisa's being hidden by her crown. Chimera Ant's were a unique species of insects tamed by the Shinto clan, initially they were a plague that devoured anything in their path and were native to the plains of the Land of Shadow. Their destructive impulses caused them to be wiped out and in a bid not to lose them forever, the founder of the Shinto Clan, who would later go on to be the second Yamikage, Kishimoto Shinto, would create a special kinjutsu which shrunk them drastically and bound them to his form intending on harnessing them for battle. Unforeseen side effects however, thanks to the Chimera's ant's propensity for evolution, were the mental and physical binding of the two, the Chimera ants creating a hive within his body with the ability to link and anchor themselves in his mental plain. This granted them cognitive thought which became intertwined with their instinct and made them dependent exclusively on Kishimoto and his bloodline.

Um..I'll say about five? Six hours tops, my workers are fast but he really hammered you this time. I was afraid that he might of forced us to go into coma mode. the young queen said with a frown as she stopped stroking his hair putting her hands into her lap. I had to personally step in, otherwise he was going to stomp on you and jerk you awake like last time. she said with a pout Sangil smiling and lifting his arm gingerly to stroke her cheek, causing her pout to vanish. The bond between them was far more stable than that of Sangil's ancestors, it was mainly due to his mixed heritage, his mother being a Shinu a clan known for their ability to capture, tame and harness even the most difficult beasts in battle. It was because of his Shinu clan heritage that had such a mastery over the insects which hadn't been seen since the second Yamikage, though his prodigious relationship with his hive didn't translate into his fighting skills.

I know, but he's doing this because of the clan elders, they hate that I'm not of "pure blood" and you know that, they have been gunning to take away my birthright since I was a child. Sangil said as Lisa's facial expression softened. Besides, thanks to him I'm as strong as I am now, training with dad makes the other academy students seem like trash. he said as he began to trace her chin down to her neck. By the way, your growing. he said with a wolfish grin pointing downward at her chest causing her to blush bright red.

Pervert! Lisa screamed forcing Sangil out of his mindscape, the boy waking up with a laugh. After a while the laughter subsided and he just lay on the ground before turning over and looking at the clock on the wall, it was almost six pm, he'd have to go to the academy in about two hours. He always found it odd, how Kaos nin operated at night, though he supposed not being able to see the sun within the village granted them that luxury. Not to mention the tactical advantage that came along with such a schedule was always a benefit, while their opponents were used to sleeping at night they were used to being awake, not to mention night-time was when most attacks were staged so the otherwise cons of being asleep during the day weren't that much of a disadvantage for them.

Hmm..I wonder maybe I can finally persuade Tessa-hime to go out with me. Sangil thought with a smirk before stretching. Well, time to get ready he said putting his arms behind his head before preforming a no hands kick up and vaulting to a standing position. He would crack his back and touch his toes before he would walk to his bedroom so he could take a shower and hopefully get some breakfast.

(1 Hour Later)

A silver haired girl was busy in the kitchen washing dishes in an almost mechanical fashion unknown to her a figure was sneaking up behind her in a predatory fashion. The figure pounced and girl girl stiffened as hands found their prize. Ah, the wonders of small breasts. Sangil said as he groped the girl who had a blank facial expression albeit the violation that he wrought on her body. She continued to wash dishes as if nothing had happened prompting Sangil to frown before he let go and sat down at the table. Your no fun you know that Lynx. he said folding his arms as she finished the dish washing and turned to look at him.

If I'm no fun, why do you constantly grope me every morning. My reactions do not differ so what is the motive. Lynx's voice said cool and mechanical as she rested her gold colored eyes on his form. Her over all appearance was without flaw, her body more like some sort of living doll than anything else. It was mainly due to her composition like her mother she was purely mechanical a natural ability that stemmed from experimentation on the weaponization of human beings. It was a success at the cost of her mothers humanity, Lynx being the second generation of those achievements advanced fuinjutsu incorporating Nova DNA and translating it into her design. Her body was unique in that it was human yet at the same time not, everything about her having a mechanical feel, her bones iron, her blood, mercury, her organs silver. Her emotional scope was limited only because she chose so, not being interested in the full emotions available to her mother simply because she deemed them more of a burden to her simplistic way of life. Or is it you wish to have intercourse with me? That is highly impractical as I can not procreate. she said bluntly Sangil blushing before smirking once more.

You know that's not the only reason people do it. Sangil began Lynx giving him another blank look before she walked towards the door and turned back, waiting for him to follow. It was there daily ritual ever since he was old enough to get into the academy, she'd walk him there before she went about her business as Xander was too busy with his Hunter Nin duties to take him. It was one of the reasons Lynx was living with them rather than the branch quarters of the Shinto Compound, she like her mother weren't qualified to take over as Clan Heads due to their less than human status. This made them neutral in the ongoing power struggle for clan supremacy with Lynx being appointed Sangil's body guard until his or her death.

Not interested, Lust is not in my scope of emotions, nor is Love, which I doubt is in your scope either. Lynx said coldly before walking out of the door Sangil's jaw dropping at her harshness. He quickly collected his wits and grabbed an apple off the counter before walking out the door dressed in his preferred outfit, a white button down shirt with the sleeves ripped off, along with navy blue three quarter baggy jeans. He wore grey steel toe boots and a silver necklace which matched the silver bracelet he wore on his right arm.

(40 minutes later Academy Gates)

Oh Kami...he's here an unnamed fan girl said upon seeing Sangil walk though the academy gates, soon enough a crowd of girls manifested Sangil sweat dropping in the distance. Get him! the same unnamed fan girl said the girls cheering before running after him Sangil gaping before taking off. For some reason the unnamed fan girl was the only one remaining, that is until she was surrounded by a smoke cloud which faded revealing a boy with short blue hair who was currently sporting a large grin He was rather short for his age being a few months older than Sangil yet stood at a mere four foot five. His outfit consisted of a black shirt with a high collar with slate grey shorts with matching sandals. In his left hand he held an ornate white book which was atypical of the members of the Ningyo clan as it held the source of their power, namely their human puppets.

Your welcome Tes. the boy said as the rock nearby would explode into a smoke cloud revealing a blond girl with cerulean colored eyes. She was wearing a black tube top with a red skirt and had on black boots which stopped just short of her knees giving her an over all Gothic look. The two had been friends since the start of the academy with common interests like their interest in puppetry as well as pranks drawing them together. They also both had a mutual dislike of Sangil, with Teresa disliking him due to his constant womanizing and failed attempts at flirting with her.

Thanks. I owe you one, yet again Kin-kun. Teresa said with a smirk knowing that Kinjiro enjoyed messing with Sangil mainly because the two of them were rivals. A loud gong sound would ring throughout the academy courtyard signalling it was time to get to class the various academy students heading into the academy building, Teresa and Kinjiro being no exceptions. I honestly can't wait till our genin exams. I just want to pass them and be put in a squad, hopefully I'll never have to see him again until like important missions and stuff. she said with a scowl on her face as they saw Sangil's trademark hair in the distance. She really didn't understand what girls saw in him, he was a perverted smooth talker, sure he was highly skilled but that was his only redeemable feature.

Hey who knows we might end up in the same squad. That'll be epic. Kinjiro said with a smirk before waving at Atsui Jiyuushashi the third member of their trio of friends who was waiting at the door of their classroom for them her short green hair sharply contrasting everyone that walked past her. Atsui sported a white and green short sleeve jacket with a black tank top underneath, she had black and green shorts on with black sandals and was currently humming a song to herself as she waved back at Kinjiro. Really? Cat eye contacts? Kinjiro said rolling his eyes when he and Teresa within 5 feet of her.

Don't hate. Besides it makes me stand out more, you know so people can recognize my awesomeness from a distance. Atsui said sticking her tongue out at her friend. So just a week till genin exams, you two ready? she said walking into the class with her friends the three of them sitting in the middle row with Atsui sitting next to the open window, Teresa sitting in the middle while Kinjiro sat next to her.

I was born ready. Sangil said popping up in the middle of the two girls his arms around them both, Atsui blushing with Teresa had an extremely annoyed facial expression. So how are my favorite ladies today. You know if you two ever need any help preparing for the genin exams your welcome to train with me at my house. he said before retreating back dodging a strike from Teresa. Feisty. Don't worry Tessa-hime there is enough of me to go around. But..if you want we can have some...one on one training. he said leaning back into his chair while the other girls in the class glared enviously at Teresa.

In your dreams Sangil, and quit calling me that. Teresa said her face contorted in slight rage while Kinjiro sported a frown while staring at Atsui who was still blushing. Despite her tomboyish appearance, Atsui had fallen under Sangil's spell just like the other girls in the classroom, not even their academy instructor was free from his aura as he had often left her silent and blushing after a rouge comment on her body.

Ahem. Class please settle down, I have to take attendance. Soluna said her voice causing the chatter which filled the room to slowly damper down before it became relatively quiet. While she had calmed down considerably from her youth she was still known to have outbursts of temper which made many people in the classroom fear her. She was technically their age thanks to Nova aging differently however she was one of the Nova who had a faulty aging process leaving her fixed in a 13 year old body with no sign of ever progressing further in development. To most it would be an extremely stressful condition but she took it in stride and used it to her advantage while she was in active duty as her opponents often underestimated her. Alright, Jaime Chromatica? she said an orange haired girl in the back row raising her hand.

Xander, do you know why I have called you into my office? The fourth Yamikage, said leaning back in her seat her crimson red hair covering her shoulders as she had a bored facial expression both of her legs resting on her table. Her legs were crossed her black heeled boots shining in the light and matching her scantily clad attire, her Kage hat and robes were resting on the rack behind her as she didn't like wearing them mainly because she felt they made her look older than she was. She would linger for a bit before looking at Xander with had a blank facial expression on his face, if he did have a clue then he sure wasn't revealing that he did.

Sigh so boring, you didn't even guess. Fine fine, The Rokubi has been sighted in the Land of Shadow. If Kaos is to become stronger we need to capture it before any of the other villages find out about its appearance. she said with a small yawn using her left hand to cover her mouth. I'm sending you along with Ishoku and Eva mainly because you three are...the most qualified for the job. she said before she returned to looking at the ceiling above.

Not that I'm doubting your judgement..Yamikage-sama. But I am more than enough to take it down so there is no need to bring my fellow team mates along. Xander said both of his hands in his pockets. He was wearing his usual outfit, long black pants with black steel toe boots that matched his black gloves. He sported a short white sleeveless jacket that he left open exposing his battle hardened body and wore his Kaosgakure forehead protector on his neck. It was due to these things that he was very popular among the kunoichi throughout the village his serious personality and disinterest in companionship after his wife's death being the only thing keeping them at bay.

Be that as it may I also believe that you might encounter some rouge shinobi that will try and claim it for themselves. I do not need you to be too tired from your clash with the Bijuu that you risk losing a fight while you return home. Eva is there for medical support while Ishoku is your back up just in case they have already been informed of this and are waiting at the gate for your immediate departure. Now then, your dismissed. Shou said not even bothering to look at him while she dismissed him, she was thinking about other things such as her daughters genin exams as well as the terms of Dipugakure's alliance. She personally didn't trust them but she knew Kaos needed the additional strength, after seeing what had happened to Haka and the ever stable alliance of Shi and Ibara her confidence in their villages security were starting to waver. Who would of thought taking over a village would be so much work. Shou thought to herself a frown appearing on her face when she thought back to how she got the position in the first place.

(A few minutes later Village Gates.)

You know, I really hate that bitch. A purple haired woman said upon seeing Xander arrive at the gate. She was wearing an unzipped grey flak jacket with a purple fishnet shirt under and a black skirt with purple fishnet leggings. Her forehead protector was on her forehead framing her dark purple hair which had black tips the same shade as her short heeled boots. Like seriously, interrupting my training to baby sit fucking Xander? she said obviously pissed off at the whole situation.

A green haired woman stood next to her patting her on the shoulder trying albeit without success to quell her lovers temper. Ishoku...calm down..if you make a scene it'll cause us problems in the future.. she said with a small pout trying to meet Ishoku's eyes. Ah hey Xander I suppose you got the message? The Kaos Trio, back in action. she said with a smile when she saw her old squad mate. She was wearing a dark green body suit with a high collar and a Kaosgakure medical flak jacket with matching white boots.

I suppose Eva. Anyways Lets head out. Xander said walking past them his face annoyed despite the over all closeness of the team. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy going on missions with his former squad members, no that wasn't it, it was mainly the misappropriation of manpower that was infuriating him. Though he kept his emotions in check it was no secret among his teammates that he hated the current Kage, in fact among the three the only one that surpassed him in sheer hate was Eva which was frightening considering her overall happy and kind demeanor.

Besides. She'll be dead by the end of this month. Eva said whispering into Ishoku's ear before kissing her on the cheek and walking after Xander. It was a hushed secret that the three of them were planning a coup, and had gained powerful supporters among the higher ranked shinobi throughout the village, Shou Ti had taken over the village just ten years ago and they had been helpless to stop it, resulting in the death of their beloved Kage. She had planted a host of her missing nin allies throughout the village and initially had eliminated anyone who openly opposed her one of them being Eva's father the former head of the Dokusei clan. Because of this she had been biding her time, training alongside her teammates in order to finally avenge the death of her father as well as the countless Kaos nin who had died during the take over. Sure blood would be shed, but it would be for the good of all, they had studied her, prepared, and were waiting for the end of the perfect time to strike.

Yeah Yeah I know. Ishoku said with a smile, unlike the other two she had neither disdain nor animosity towards Shou, she merely liked blood shed and was the most notorious of the three despite being the lowest ranked. But that in itself was a ploy, she was easily sannin rank along with Eva but they had both lowered their skills to be just below the radar while Xander hadn't bothered to lower his merely to attract all of the attention towards himself. Among the three he was merely the second strongest being tied with Ishoku at full strength while Eva outclassed them both. But in the eyes of the village, he was the strongest, Ishoku second while Eva albeit being a genius medical nin was the weakest in plain combat. This was merely the calm before the storm as what they had planned for the next few weeks was sure to throw the village into...Chaos.

End Note: Boom. Chaos Book is up, yeah >.< Crazy I know, Chaos book is among the most dynamic out of the books. And as you've seen it has a nice contrast between the carefree youth and the calculating adults. But yeah I know you guys are like wtf?! Just Xander is enough to capture the Rokubi? Remember Bijuu without a host are feral and make no mistake the Bijuu in my fanfic are incredibly strong but you'll see exactly why Xander was hand picked for this job.

Description: Chimera Ants have the ability consume chakra and retain the ant class system. It is separated into Queen,Royal Guards,Soldiers and Workers. However the ratio is 1:3:500:50 with soldiers being the most plentiful as the workers simply attend to the queen as well as repair the nest..quite literally as the host can heal from damage the more he ranks up D-rank at academy,C-rank at genin,B-rank at chunin,A-rank at jonin, S-ranks at sannin level. His own personal healing factor thanks to those nifty worker ants. Soldiers are mostly used in battle however they don't consume chakra from the host as only the queen and the royal guards do, meaning it doesn't cost anything to use them as they get their food from outside sources.

Description: The two last classes are not only extremely specialized but are the most vital to the host. The Royal guards are located on every major part of his/her chakra circulatory system or more specifically his/her gates. This makes Chimera Ant users extremely attuned to the Eight Gates as although they feed from his/her chakra pool it is only to reduce the risks to their body as they act as a second filter meaning instead of 8 gates Chimera Ant users technically have 16. This restrictive nature has lowered the overall chakra reserves of the users to Ronin levels due to the Royal Guards constantly feeding on the chakra running through the user's gates. The last class is the queen and she consumes chakra from the host to produce her children namely the workers, soldiers and eventually new queens during reproduction. Unlike the other classes anything having to do with her reduces from the user's chakra pool.

(5 Hours later Land of Shadows Lava Plains)

Can you two quit raping each other. It's distracting me from the mission objective. Xander said with a slight frown on his face as he was surveying the area. A few hours ago his Chimera Ant's had picked up a trail from the Rokubi its unique chakra signature lurking around the area. He had stopped merely to observe the destruction it had left in its wake and see where it could possibly have gone only for his teammates to take it as a cue to begin messing with each other much to his dismay.

Fuck off. Ishoku said her eyes narrowing as she looked back at Xander while moving her right hand causing another moan from Eva as it was currently located deep within the latters pants. Besides its your mission, we're just here in case the great Xander gets hurt. she said in a mocking voice causing him to mutter a  low curse before dashing off having found out exactly where the bijuu was heading. Alright...the killjoy is gone, now where were we. she said her voice sultry as she gazed at Eva with a predatory gaze.

Ah..w-we should follow him Eva managed to croak out causing Ishoku to scowl before removing her hand and walking away while sucking her fingers. Eva sighed before sinking to the ground in a bid to recollect her wits while she watched her lover start off away after Xander knowing she was in for it after the mission. A small smile appeared on her face as she reminisced on how she was able to con Ishoku into marrying her before it vanished as she remembered one of the few things in her life that she wished she could forget. ... she sat there as her green eyes began to swim in tears missing Ishoku's body flicker as the latter had felt the shift in atmosphere surrounding her wife.

...You know..crying isn't going to bring him back. Ishoku said leaning forward a bit her hair covering her face as the usual edge to her voice was gone. She hated Eva when she was like this, even if she had a good reason to, mainly because it broke down her mental barriers as well. And if you cry you'll make me cry too.. she said Eva's sobs beginning to quiet down albeit the tears not ceasing. Xander...go on ahead..we'll catch up.. Ishoku said thought the com-link before she sunk down next to Eva and patted her on the back.

Asher..my..my baby Eva mumbled out between sobs Ishoku's body tensing before she held her tightly and put her head down to conceal the single tear that threatened to escape her eye.

I know..Eva..I know..

(About a mile ahead 30 minutes later)

You pity them..Don't you Xander Came the harsh voice which echoed in his mind. Xander knew the tone of voice Ishoku had used, one of them most likely Eva had remembered their loss. Xander said nothing as his own personal feelings never wavered during a mission though he knew his teammates despite their otherwise firm grasp on their respective "masks" would instantly lose such a hold when their lost child was mentioned.

Pity is not the word I would use. Rena. Xander thought back as he vividly remembered that day, Ishoku had left the child unattended for mere seconds only to return to find it and the cart she put it on gone. Eva's scream of agony could be heard echoing through the whole square as Ishoku took off in search of the infants scent. Her search would be for naught as in her happiness she had forgotten to mark him with blood and the boys natural scent was lost among the crowded area. Xander had been teaching a two year old Sangil how to throw a punch before the distraught Ishoku had burst in begging him to help her. Seeing the state that she was in could only mean but two things, something had happened to either Eva or the baby and Xander took off to assist her leaving Sangil with Lynx's mother. The search was through and it was found he wasn't in the village but before they could mobilize to scour the other villages Shou had ordered them back as she along with Dipugakure were planning a joint strike on Hakagakure. Eva had been furious while Ishoku despite seething accepted the mission, Xander had been speechless at the time but understood as this was a once in a life time chance to wipe out the strongest of the then six great nations especially since Shigakure had offered their assistance in the battle.

After the battle Ishoku and Eva went back on the search but by then it was too late their child was lost, perhaps dead with the frustration of being denied to even search for him tacking on to the deep seated hatred Eva felt towards her Kage, leading Xander to understandably join her. If it had been Sangil he would of done everything he could to find him but the Kage's word was law and disobeying her orders meant death. They were chunin back then having gained their promotions through the war and the amount of knowledge and strength they had then couldn't compare to now. Its close. Rena said snapping Xander out of his thoughts as he approached Elephant Graveyard a large area filled with decaying corpses of animals and massive skeletons of the beasts that roamed the Lands of Shadows. I found it. Xander said into the com-link before picking up speed as he had located his quarry.

The Rokubi was standing in the middle of multiple corpses its six tails swinging lazily behind it as it was taking a nap. Xander wasted no time as he concentrated a mist beginning to roll in and blanket the area causing the Rokubi to jerk awake as it recognized that mist anywhere..

(Same Time Kaosgakure Academy)

Alright, today's lesson is over however after school we are hosting the first of the many sparring tournaments. These will prepare you for the upcoming genin examinations. Soluna said prompting a cheer from the bulk of her students causing her to smile faintly, that was the reason she had decided to teach, she loved children and she couldn't stand to see anymore die on the battlefield because they were so unprepared for the shinobi world. Alright considering you guys are into it, follow me. she said jumping off the small stool that she stood on to make her appear taller than she was and landing with grace despite wearing black heels. She wore a simple outfit really the standard black Kaosgakure jumpsuit with the standard issue grey chunin flak jacket.

A few moments later and the whole class was assembled in to two groups male and female and along with another class which had joined them they numbered to sixteen, eight boys and eight girls. The other classes chunin instructor had other things to attend to considering work hours were over, leaving Soluna in charge of both classes, which considering she didn't mind and knew the names of almost every student in the academy was an easy transition. Okay students Soluna said with a smile before making a hand sign and splitting into a doppelganger of herself. We are going to have a physical based tournament today, tomorrow will be a chakra based tournament, Wednesday will be a mental based tournament while Thursday will be a resting day for the exams that will take place from Friday through the weekend. Boys will be paired with boys while girls will be paired with girls after which the four top boys and the four top girls will have their own combined tournament to see who wins. she said prompting a small groan from some of the students that weren't to big on physical combat. The jutsu types that will be allowed are, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu, as well as Kugujutsu, Energy Tech and Kyujutsu. she said the last three causing some people to cheer once more.

The academy students would split up into groups with them taking blunted shuriken as well as the blunted training swords, training bows with rubber arrows and practice puppets so that even though they could use them effectively in combat no one would be seriously hurt besides bruises and scrapes. Soluna would go to watch the girl tournament while her doppelganger would stay to watch the boys. The first match began shortly between Kinjiro and another boy Vince Levi, the latter was a scrawny boy glad in a navy blue jumpsuit along with a black scarf that covered his mouth along with his neck, he wore black fingerless gloves that matched his black sandals. They would stand looking at each other before the doppelganger clapped her hands both of them running towards each other.

Pfft. Is this all you got? Kinjiro said as he pulled out his white book and was using it to effortlessly parry blows from Vince's practice sword. Sure he wasn't allowed to use his book for actual combat but it wasn't as if he couldn't beat people up with it. He leaned back as Vince attempted a horizontal slash as threw his book forward where it spun before hitting Vince in the forehead. Kinjiro would use that to his advantage running forward before running on his opponents body before jumping and drop kicking him in the face causing him to fly backward and get knocked unconscious. I fight with Sangil on a daily basis. You aren't even worth my time. he thought to himself bending down to pick up his book before walking away and meeting Sangil's eye the latter having a small smirk on his face.

The second match was between Mark Zankokuna and Yasei Tamanegi, the first boy had light blond hair with hazel eyes and was dressed in a dark red tee shirt with white fingerless gloves and black shorts, he had on white bandages on his legs and arms and had combat boots which were the same color as his shorts. The latter was wearing a dark blue jump suit with a face mask covering up to his eyes their vivid green contrasting his otherwise sober look. He was wearing a black sleeveless jacket along with black sandals which matched his jet black hair giving him a sort of mysterious sort of visage. The Soluna doppelganger would clap her hands and Mark would launch forward while Yasei waited his eyes scanning the area.

Mark was the first to throw a punch however he was also the first to receive a hit as Yasei used the momentum from his opponents punch to grab before throwing him with a judo technique. Mark would get up before putting some distance in between them pulling out six shuriken before taking off towards Yasei while encircling him at a higher speed than before leaving after images all of which were mid shuriken throw. Yasei would jump upward avoiding the blow right into Mark's trap as he had cut off the number of ways his opponent could escape and would deal a vicious axe kick to Yasei's back as he was already waiting from above. His opponent would fall to the ground and lay their not interested in getting up mainly because he didn't exactly like close combat.

The next match was between Sangil and Zao Chromatica, the latter being a hot headed boy with dark blue hair and piercing red eyes, he wore white bandages on his forearms and legs along with a white and red training Gi top with black pants and sandals. The doppelganger clapped her hands once more however this time neither academy student moved merely wanting to see the others reaction. Sangil would start to laugh enraging Zao and causing him to rush forward and throw a sharp jab which was parried by Sangil's arm, Zao receiving a knee to the stomach before he was elbowed in the back of the head and sent to the ground, before he could get up however Sangil would bring a hard axe kick down to his head further smashing him to the ground and knocking him unconscious. Huh..that was over quicker than I thought. he said looking over at the girls section to see how his beloved Teresa was doing.

The girls tournament was almost over with the last match being between Jaime Chromatica and some other girl from the other class. Jaime was the daughter of the current Kage and had an air of superiority around her which prompted most of the class to either worship her or outright hate her. Her outfit consisted of a sleeveless green vest with grey fishnet under and black bandages wrapped on her legs and arms. She wore a black skirt with grey shorts underneath and wore green sandals. Okay girl's begin. Soluna called out and Jaime shot forward to meet the other girls advance.

She would grab the other girl's arm before spinning and twisting it in an awkward way causing the girl to yell out, however it wasn't enough as before Soluna could stop her Jaime had already jumped and took the other girl to the ground with her dislocating her arm in the process with a small smirk on her face as the girl screamed in pain. That..bitch. Teresa said as she saw Jaime's face Atsui holding her back as she wanted to punch her in the face.

Don't. You'll get disqualified, just pray you get paired with her in the second round. Atsui whispered attempting to calm her friend down. She like everyone else knew the deep seated rivalry the two had which had started mainly due to Sangil's interest in Teresa. Jaime had a one-sided crush on him while Sangil surprisingly wanted nothing to do with her. Their were rumors in the academy that she had confessed to him once before and he turned her down quite cruelly, the aftermath of that had been his father being sent on various life threatening missions, something that Sangil had never been able to forgive her for.

..Sigh...someone call a medic... Soluna said, her doppelganger running off to do so, while she rolled her eyes at Jaime's display, sure it wasn't expressly forbidden after all the rules were to incapacitate your opponent but to go so far as to dislocate a fellow students arm...it was a bit much. Alright then the people that qualified for the mixed spar tournament are Sangil Shinto, Kinjiro Ningyo, Teresa Yakunan, Atsui Jiyuushashi, Mark Zankokuna, Jaime Chromatica, Fernando Bless, and Vera Dokusei. Soluna said before pointing as her doppelganger returned followed by two med-nin who quickly took away Jaime's opponent on a stretcher while her doppelganger dismissed itself. The first match will be between Sangil Shinto and Atsui Dokusei. she said as both participants walked to the battle area and took up their stances.

(Same time Lava Plains)

Eva..we have company. Ishoku said now that Eva had calmed down her eyes narrowed as she saw a girl in the distance followed by another kid with glasses and a third draped in a cloak of some sort. Their unusual appearance not to mention the randomness of seeing three kids in the distance had peaked her interest.

What are they doing around here..they look much to young to be lurking around on their own especially in the Land of Shadows, could they be lost? Eva said blinking as she too noticed them. The two behind the girl were bickering about something judging by their body language while the girl seemed disinterested with their conversation a small orb floating next to her. What..could they be doing around here? she said looking at Ishoku who was smiling sadistically.

They are missing-nin. Can't you see it. Why else would three teenagers be walking around in the middle of the Land of Shadows without an adult attending them. Ishoku said before she began to take off to pursue them stopping when Eva's hand shot out and prevented her from leaving.

This isn't the time. We have to go after Xander. We ignored him when he said he found the Rokubi and its been an hour since he last reported in. We need to check on him, if they are still there when we get back, then we will pursue and capture them. Okay? Eva said Ishoku cursing under her breath before nodding. Alright lets go. she said before body flickering away Ishoku staring at the three for a few seconds longer before body flickering away as well leaving a small vortex of blood behind so that she could find the spot later.

(Kaosgakure Academy 30 Minutes later)

The initial matches had gone well as Sangil had used Atsui's crush on him to his advantage and whispered dirty things that he would do to her during their fight distracting her enough for him to pin her to the ground causing her loss. Kinjiro's match was more difficult as he was facing Mark and had been forced to resort to his Kugujutsu prowess to bring his opponent down. Jaime's match ended quickly her opponent Vera forfeiting so that she didn't have to endure what her classmate had earning Jaime a easy victory. Finally Teresa's match against Fernando had be humiliating to the latter as he had made a sexist comment which caused to receive a brutal knee to the groin the pain causing him to pass out all the male academy students wincing as they sympathized with the boy's pain.

Kinjiro smirked when he heard the next match get called out, it was between him and Jaime, sure he didn't out right hate her like Teresa did but he did dislike her just as much as Xander did mainly because of her high strung attitude. Kick her ass for me. Teresa whispered to him  prompting him to nod and walk to the middle of the battling area. A few moments later and he was signaled to go Jaime rushing forward while Kinjiro remained in place one hand on his white book and the other controlling a puppet which stood next to him.

I'm sorry but, I promise someone important that I'd kick your ass. Kinjiro said with a small smile as he dodged an upper cut before blocking a jab with his book his left hand twitching as a puppet moved quickly  spinning forward and forcing her to retreat lest she was hit with numerous blows. His hand would move yet again as the puppet would stood forward and begin peppering her with blows forcing Jaime on the defensive while Kinjiro stood opening his book and reading.

Hey! Take me seriously! Jaime screamed out upon seeing Kinjiro's distinct lack on interest in the fight her hands beginning to glow before she punched a hole through the puppet her hand coursing with Plasma release chakra. Soluna would jump in front of her before she had a chance to dash forward with a frown on her face.

Disqualified. Next Match Teresa Yakunan versus Sangil Shinto. Soluna said Kinjiro laughing as he closed his book. He was smart she had to give him that provoking his opponent by not taking her seriously and using her temper to get her disqualified so he wouldn't have to overexert himself in preparation for the next match. She stepped away from the battle area after Jaime stormed off Sangil stepping in while Teresa gave Kinjiro a high five before walking in as well.

Ah..Tessa-hime lets see how much you've grown. Sangil said with a smirk his words having a hidden meaning that Soluna failed to grasp. He would begin to walk forward with his hands in his pockets when she called the match to start Teresa causing a puppet to rocket towards him. Sangil smiled before closing his eyes upon it reaching him and began to effortlessly weave out of the blows his hands still in his pockets as he decided to start showing off.

I have to stay calm. Teresa thought to herself as she knew he was trying to enrage her so that she lost her focus and resisted getting angry instead upping the rate in which the puppet swung at him. She knew she could try and tire him out however during her concentration she missed him suddenly blur out of sight only to reappear behind her to grope her chest causing all the girls, as well as Soluna to blush while the boys save Kinjiro cheered at his bravery. You! Bastard! Teresa screamed out elbowing behind her with all the strength she could must Sangil not even moving as the blow connected save for squeezing once more.

Hmm...double A-cup. It seems you've grown a bit from last year right Tessa-hime? Sangil said his smile widening at her shock from him accurately guessing her cup size before fading when she pulled her leg back and attempted to kick him in the groin his left hand moving and catching her leg before the blow could connect. That....would of been dangerous. his voice changing as he let loose a decent amount of killing intent that caused her to freeze in place Just kidding. he said the killing intent disappearing as he chopped her neck with his right hand causing her to instantly get knocked unconcious.

Soluna-sensei! That shouldn't be allowed Sangil is a pervert! Kinjiro said fuming when Sangil was announced the winner of that match. He was going to make him regret touching his Teresa that way and storm to the middle of the battle area with a new training puppet following him.

Unfortunately, a shinobi needs to use every thing in their arsenal to their advantage...despite how...vulgar it might be. Soluna said with a frown as she looked at Sangil who was still smiling cheerily. He gave her a wink causing her to involuntarily blush before she shook her head in order to clear the bad thoughts forming in her mind. Ahem. The next match is between Sangil Shinto and Kinjiro Ningyo she said both boys running towards each other.

The first to throw a punch was Sangil mainly to intercept the puppet that was attempting to blindside him with a left hook. His blow caused to to jerk back Sangil running past it and grabbing one of Kinjiro's kicks the latter spinning and launching a brutal kick to Sangil's neck. The blow connected causing Sangil to let go despite having not suffered much injury because of it, his skin was unnaturally hard one of the advantages of his mixed heritage. He'd smirk before elbowing behind him and hitting the puppet which had attempted to grab him while he was distracted by Kinjiro's attack. He would jump to the right before putting some distance between his opponent and exhale before his face became serious. Alright..lets try something out....First Gate..

Open. Xander said as he opened the Seventh Gate dodging out of the way of one of the Bijuu's tails that were flailing about. Despite the fact that it was currently trapped in an illusion courtesy of what Xander held within, it was still very dangerous and its tails moving at high speeds and packing enough power to easily end Xander's life with just a hit. Mindless beast. he said as he surfed the air using his sword King Basilisk the blade producing a cyclone of sound which propelled him through the air at high speeds.

The hunt was going good for the most part other than a couple of close calls he was unscathed while he was slowly dealing damage over time to the confused Bijuu. He realized however he needed to end this quickly before it realized that it was trapped within an illusion and he altered his course heading back towards the ground as a Tailed Beast bomb was released into the air. Finish it. I will have my workers begin repairs immediately. Rena said causing Xander to nod as he jumped off of his sword and landed on the ground. Alright. Seventh Gate..Open. he said a vortex swirling around him while he was cloaked in a green aura. He shot off at extremely high speeds sword in hand before jumping upward as the Rokubi released another Tailed beast bomb this time in beam form which tore up the ground in front of it leaving deep marks in the ground were it was launched.

Xander would course his sword with Sound Release chakra once more being propelled through the air via a sound cyclone and shot upward to the creatures neck before jumping off and grabbing his sword. Dance of Ruin...Finale. he said as his muscles bulged the sword humming as chakra was packed inside of it and he sliced diagonally the creatures receiving a powerful blow albeit it not being enough to really stop it. A massive surge of bubbles would begin to pour out of the wound Xander kicking off the hilt of his sword burying it inside of the creature even more and falling downward. He would spin in the air before twisting and kneeing forward hitting the creatures stomach and lifting it into the air.

In the Illusion that it was trapped in the shadowy entity it was battling had released its tailed beast bomb causing it to faint only for it to be violently jerked awake by Xander's attack. He attempted to search for what had wounded it so greatly however Xander would body flicker appearing behind it in the air having attached a wire to his sword in order to quickly accent via body flicker. Nightfall....Dragon he said the wire snapping as he turned and kicked downward a massive dragon head appearing along with his kick before slamming into the Rokubi and knocking it unconscious. .Seal. he said after unsealing a large pot from a sealing scroll before opening it the massive creature getting pulled inside of it where Xander would replace the lid and seal it back inside of the scroll.

Xander....at this height.... Rena began to say Xander closing his gates the intense pain that accompanied them causing him to nearly cry out in agony. I know.. he thought back before he began to slip out of unconsciousness as he plummeted to the ground...

Alright...looks like I won. Sangil said panting after closing the first gate and standing straight. You idiot. Do you have any idea how dangerous that is to your body? Lisa's voice screamed in his mind causing him to smirk while Soluna and the other academy students stared at him with a mixture of shock and awe. Yeah I know Lisa-chan you were worried about me. he said laughing when he didn't receive an answer.

Um...wow..that was shocking, the winner is Sangil. Soluna said her eyes wide as she didn't expect an academy student to be able to open not even a single gate not to mention be completely fine after using it. Just what is Xander-san teaching this boy.. she thought to herself as she body flickered next to Kinjiro who was unconscious thanks to a sharp blow to the chin. You all are dismissed. she said before picking the boy up and body flickering away.

Sensei! You forgot his book...ugh..crap. Atsui we have to follow her now. Teresa said shooting Sangil a death glare as he winked at her before picking up Kinjiro's book and running after Soluna. Atsui! she would scream snapping her friend out of her daze after seeing Sangil's strength the girl turning before running after her friend who would set off after getting her attention.

Ahem. Ladies..ladies. I'm in a delicate state now I'm in dire need of someone to take me home. Sangil said with a smile the academy students who were spectating rushing up to him before stopping and backing up. Hmm what wron- ...Oh..Hi Lynx. he said without turning around remembering the last time fan girls had been attempting to "help" him. Lynx had shown up and put 5 girls in the hospital while scaring the rest for life with her custom genjutsu thinking that they were actually attempting to attack him. Sure she apologized later but it didn't help shake the other girls fear of the mechanical girl.

Using any one of the Eight Gates is damaging to your body. Lynx said her emotionless voice void of any concern despite her statement. Promise me you won't use them unless the situation actually calls for it or I will personally make your recovery as.. uncomfortable as possible. she said before turning and walking away Sangil paling considerably before nodding and walking after her.

Xander would nearly hit the ground before he was caught Ishoku having body flickered to him at the last moment with Eva body flickering next to her shortly after holding his sword. Ishoku would smirk before setting him down while Eva's hands began to glow green as she attempted to heal his injuries.

I hate how reckless he is, you know if not for his Chimera Ants and myself he would be dead so many times over. Eva said with a sigh seeing her unconscious teammate, he hadn't changed at all, despite his facade she knew he was always overexerting himself so he wouldn't rely on others. His power was earned not because he was a genius or anything, no it was mainly due to his desire not to fail something that had stemmed from his  fragmented bond between him and his Hive. Sure he could control them but it was through concentration unlike the effortless way his son could manipulate his Chimera Ants. This fact was only known to Eva outside of his clan elders mainly because she was the closest to him out of their squad and the fact that he despised his weakness instead focusing on honing his physical skills to compensate for his lack of control over his hive.

Aye. Anyways lets hurry up I want to go back and hunt those missing nin kids. Perhaps they'll have a nice bounty on their heads. Ishoku said while cracking her neck.

End Note Woah ^.^ Its done. Its quite long I was writing and lost track of time actually. Um I hope you guys enjoyed it. Oh I know a lot of people are going to be like wait what? How did he trap it in a illusion its a bijuu etc etc... Well...If you looked closely I hinted to something for those of you who got it Yay, those who didn't well you'll find out eventually. Though...the people on my forum would probably get it..considering they saw it happen already lol.

Mark Zankokuna: He's a relaxed, fun loving guy with a personality similar to Xander's just less perverted.. okay a lot less perverted. He like Kinjiro is an important character in this story and was fun to develop mainly because I like his clan.

Vince Levi: He's a slacker and gets borderline passing grades in the classroom. It happens you know.

Uh...hey just wondering..babe..are you still mad about the note? Eva said as they ran through the Lava Plains, prompting another chorus of laughter stemming from Xander who was running behind her safely out of Ishoku's range. Eva would see Ishoku tense up briefly mid sprint before continuing as if nothing was wrong Eva looking back and glaring at Xander who promptly stopped laughing with a poker face. She would turn around again and he would begin afresh only to revert to a poker face the instant she turned to look at him again.

I thought we agreed never to speak of it again. Ishoku said her body actually shaking from rage. The letter of course referred to the note she found upon returning back to the location that they had spotted the missing nin earlier. It was written in cursive and was nice and fancy much to Xander's amusement when they first noticed it. It read "Dear lady with the blood fetish, I know that it's pretty hard not to notice people like us, but seriously when you stare at someone before leaving some blood behind to track them like a blood hound you should really know who you are fucking with. Love O". The memory it'self made her see red and the fact that Xander had read it outloud only served to amplify the insult that she received.

Ishoku thought to herself as a massive flare of killing intent was released from her body. She would pick up the pace only for Eva to sigh and sped up as well. Daddy, I'm home. Teresa said as she slipped into her partially deconstructed home, various parts of the wall missing paint and cracked. Sure it wasn't much but it was what she called home and she loved it mainly because of one person. She would take off her shoes before tip toeing down the hallway and creaking open a door at the very end, before sticking her head in to observe the lone occupant.

Teresa..hey..how was the academy.. A rather sickly man said before going into a coughing fit Teresa walking into the room her face instantly becoming sober. He wasn't old rather the sickness had aged him considerably and weakened the proud man who now lay before her. Vincent Yakunan had contracted a rare disease, in which his body was slowly breaking down on an atomic level,about 2 years ago his condition getting progressively worse despite Teresa's best efforts to supply him with the much needed medication. She was too poor to hire a medic nin who would be able to provide proper treatment to the deadly disease and had slowly watched her father die before her. Unknown to her it wasn't mere coincidence that this happened as it was due to a skirmish with an old foe that resulted in his current state of health, he was thankful that she didn't know as getting her revenge on the person at her age would only result in her death, a fate he didn't want for his only loved one still surviving.

Despite this fact, she did everything she could to make him proud, a fleeting hope that one day he would miraculously get better. He didn't exactly make that thought vanish with cruel reality as often he would push himself past what he could do and make it appear as if he was getting better, her hopes shattering when she realized it was a facade. He had long since stopped however when he saw what it was doing to his daughter and was now remaining bed ridden in order to pacify her young heart. It was good...I'll be taking the exams soon..I'm one step closer to my dream you know. she said with a small smile as she sat next to him on the bed and checked how he was doing. Her eyes spared a glance to his bed sheets which were riddled with small droplets of blood from his hacking thought the night.

Hey that's amazing, I know you will pass in a bre- Vincent said before having another coughing fit Teresa rubbing his back until it ended while simultaneously repressing the urge to cry. In a breeze. Because you are your mothers daughter..nothing can hold you down. I'm sure where ever she is she'll be smiling at how strong her daughter is becoming. I know I for one am proud of you. he said smiling weakly while he stroked her hair Teresa nodding and then looking down. It was hard..even to look at him now, sure Atsui, Kinjiro and even Sangil had offered to help her with the medical bills, with the latter even offering to supply medical treatment free of charge. But her father's pride resulted in his decline each and every time it was brought up.

Daddy..we really nee- Teresa began to bring up that..conversation only to be silenced when her father gave her a happy facial expression. She couldn't continue and break the illusion of him being pleased with the constant reminder that he was indeed dying. Instead she would close her eyes for a moment before smiling back and standing up. Hey are you hungry, what do you want to eat I'll make you anything you want. she said while looking into his eyes and trying desperately to mask her emotions.

You know you spoil me too much..how about some steak, we have to celebrate of course. Vincent said before closing his eyes as she leaned down and kissed his forehead. He was glad she took his hint and changed the topic sure it was a bit selfish of him to want to see her like this in comparison to her gloom self that she had unconsciously put on upon entering his room. It wasn't as if he blamed her, no child should have to watch their parents die so young, he cursed fate on a daily basis but he supposed it was only repaying him from his deeds as a youth.

A celebration huh...sure, because if I didn't know any better I would assume you just picked steak because that's what we always have. Teresa said while rolling her eyes and walking out of the room to go make dinner, it would be a nice distraction...though when she thought about it everything she did in the house was to serve as a distraction from the ever present truth that was her life.

A single boy was working in the basement the light dim however it didn't slow him down in the slightest. What he was working on was his latest masterpiece, a small child like puppet with flaming red hair unlike the others he had actually taken the time to paint on his clan symbol in the form of a tattoo on his neck. He would stop and admire his work before making hand signs and cutting his wrist just deep enough for a steady blood flow before pouring some in the puppets mouth while pulling out his book. He would begin to write using the remaining blood on his wrist as the puppet would spring to life and the book would glow as numerous words would manifest seemingly on their own. The puppet master would smirk, his first successful bond he had thought it was hopeless for someone like him and had actually began to pursue alternative methods of combat.

With this...I'll be able to curbstomp that pervert. Kinjiro said as the puppet simply stared at him as if it was waiting for something to happen. Oh yeah..your name...it'll be Drago. he said the puppet smirking before cracking its neck.

About fucking time, and here I thought you were one of those who never named their tools. Drago said as he stared at his hands as he went through the capabilities of his body type. Sure it wasn't exactly completely to his liking but his master was a novice albeit his craftsmanship being beyond his years, it would still be a long way before he would be truly satisfied with his body. This will do for now. Though in the future improvements will be necessary. Perhaps stuff that goes boom. he said growing more amused at his masters gobsmacked facial expression.

Your...personality...complicates things. Kinjiro said with a slight frown as he had originally planned on this puppet to be simply a background fighter a support. But now seeing how abrasive he was, he would have to scrap that idea and work on improving his fighting capability. But...I think we'll work. he said with a smug smile as he leaned back in his chair to get some much needed rest, after all he would need it for tomorrow...

An intense buzzing sound was heard all around the area as the various hives welcomed back their clan leader, Sangil noticing this and quickly holding his breath and vanishing from sight. It was rather close too as his father would pass just a moment later obviously tired from his mission and in a bad mood most likely caused from being in the presence of the Yamikage. You know I never understood why your father hates her so much Lisa's voice rang out in his mind breaking him out of his concentration Sangil becoming visible once more. Luckily for him his father was already out of sight and he quickly made a dash for the side of his home quickly scaling the wall before sitting on the edge of his roof.

Yeah...it's odd, I've never really seen him angry, disappointed and annoyed yes but angry no. I have a feeling something is going to go down soon, and apparently I'm not alone most of my clan members have been training even harder than before I think they are gearing up for something.. Sangil thought to himself as he looked at the blackness that was the Kaosgakure "sky". He was anxious for many different reasons but the fear that his father might start a civil war was the most prevalent. He wasn't stupid he just pretended to be oblivious so that he could remain under the radar, he wasn't particularly worried about the genin exams that wasn't something that particularly bothered him. Though if he was right then whatever would be going down would occur during it, while the attention was diverted towards the exam. Sangil...why don't you always act like this..it is much better than your pervert personality.

Come on Lisa...you already know this answer. Besides I owe it to her to keep her memory going as long as possible. Sangil said with sad smile on his face as he leaned back and laid down on the roof with his legs dangling. He would stare for a moment before he closed his eyes slowly drifting off to sleep.

Lynx was looking aimlessly at the "sky" wondering just why she was at this location at the present time. She had let her curiosity get the better of her for once and was currently making plans to remove said emotion disc from her circuitry when she returned home. How else could she explain why she had followed the instructions of a note that had found its way into her garments after an intense team training. It was rather odd, and completely suspicious, her body would then suddenly tense up and she would turn only to see no one. I know I am not being paranoid I haven't installed that yet.. she thought to herself as she wondered why her Neo Nano's were picking up something yet no one was in the vicinity.

Those thoughts however were quickly disprove as a Kaos Jonin would appear out of thin air before walking over to her. As he walked his body would begin to ripple black threads coming out of him before reshaping his figure revealing a gorgeous woman who would smile at her as it knew she was still processing such a change. Who..are you. It wasn't so much a question as it was a statement, Lynx was already posed and ready to strike at any given moment, her brain going through numerous possible scenarios which could possible unfurl at this given moment.

Who I am is not of your concern, but to ease your uncertainty you may call me O. No need to introduce yourself Lynx, as I know all about you, your friends, your family, your likes, dislikes. Your past, present and if you like I could even have some information on your future. the woman said stopping when she was about five feet away from the stoic girl the smile still plastered on her unnaturally perfect face.

Lynx stared into the woman's eyes unblinkingly, if she had felt fear she would probably be shaking at this point as the woman's barely concealed killing intent proved that the two of them were not at the same level despite the fact that Lynx was not the average genin.

It is expected of you. the woman continued on her smile still as radiant as ever. But we do not think in that way..surely the idea of a village that ones sacrifices are not for the benefit of greedy individuals but for the sake of others like yourself who risk their lives on a daily basis. Doesn't it seem..better than something like this. she said not waiting for Lynx's answer before she would turn around and begin to walk away.

Wait.. if I make a decision..how will I find you. Lynx said her curiosity once again getting the better of her. She was interested..not out of greed or some sort of intent on becoming more powerful but for the simple reason of the lack of bullshit. It wasn't common knowledge that hidden villages had a economic purpose which despite being overshadowed by the militaristic aspects was the true reason they were constructed. The amount of money and financial benefits from creating a hidden village was the reason wars broke out as for the lords of lands it was merely some sort of high stakes poker game with the lives of the shinobi in their villages as the chips. Lynx was quickly snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of fluttering paper, the woman was gone with a single piece of paper being left in her place. Lynx would hesitate until it landed on the ground before she would walk forward and pick it up looking at it for a moment before she ground it into a pulp with a sphere of lead.

When you make your decision. We will find you. Lynx's thoughts mirrored what she had just read and she stood there lost in thought for a moment before she shook her head and tried to dispel her uncertainties. I can't dwell on this...after all I wasn't given an ultimatum...I have time to think.. she thought to herself before she took off towards the Shinto Compound.

Above her an individual watched her reaction, her ever present smile widening when Lynx took off..

Jaime had been ecstatic her little girl eager to participate in the genin exams, it brought a smile to her face when she saw how happy she was. She was proud despite her apparent disinterest in her child's affairs as she saw much of her in her daughter despite some of Jaime's father traits having manifested in their daughter. She had long dropped her hate towards him as she had deemed it unnecessary she had long since killed him, revenge for her moment of weakness that he had exploited. Now instead of her lingering emotions when she looked at her daughter all she could feel was love towards her, luckily she resembled her more than him, she couldn't imagine how painful it would be to look at her creation and be constantly reminded of that man.

Come in. Shou said right before a knock sounded on her door. She would sit up as the person entered her eyebrows slightly raised when her cousin entered her office. Yes Tato-kun. What is it? she said as he wouldn't simply just visit her for no reason, sure they were family but they were never that close so that ruled out a friendly visit.

I have gotten information..very sensitive information that could quite possibly devastate our village. Tatotica stated, his face was currently hidden behind his dark blue hair which he had grown out over the years, giving him a ragged appearance. He was clad in a mix of jet black shinobi garb and black metallic armor over his forearms, shins and chest which mirrored his forehead protector whcih was made out of the same metal. It had been a while since he was last in his village having taken some time off to explore the world and create a spy ring for Kaosgakure to improve its overall strength in the long run.

Hmm. Shou said as she snapped her fingers her privacy and silence seals instantly becoming active. Her demeanor became serious all traces of emotion being wiped before she settled for a bored facial expression. If you are talking about the coup, I already know, how could I not know that there were still individuals which hold some sort of animosity towards me, do not fret I have already made adequate preparations for them. she said with a small smirk when she noticed the surprise on her cousins face. Ah you thought I was clueless, silly Tato-kun who do you think I am, I did not become Yamikage by being naive or oblivious to the shinobi populace.

I'm sorry to even consider that you would be in the dark about this.. It does sadden me however that my students would stoop so low as to consider what they are planning. Just know, you are my family and I am loyal to my Kage, if there is anything you need me to do when you decide to settle this, simply ask. Tatotica said as he felt that he needed to settle any douts that she had of his loyalty.

I never doubted you Tato-kun in fact the only one of our Sannin that I did doubt has already defected for reasons that I allowed. Shou said before she leaned back into her chair and stared into his eyes. I will inform you when I am ready to carry out my plan, for now I am simply letting them run around with their petty ministrations because it will be all the more satisfying when I crush them. she said her smirk disappearing signalling the fact that she had dismissed him, Tatotica catching the hidden message and nodding before turning and walking out.

The Kaos Three. Who would of thought I would have to dispose of you. But I suppose that is what happens when minnows begin to get to full of themselves, they simply forget that they are not sharks until they are re-educated about their place in the eco-system..

(Academy Basement Level)

The the majority of Kaosgakure academy students the morning had been a rush, not only could they not remember when they woke up, when they did they had absolutely know idea where they were or what was going on. Some were frightened and had openly started crying or screaming for help while others merely waited in the darkness for some sort of answer to their current predicament. It was common knowledge among the Kaosgakure shinobi genin and above what the genin exams were all about, but it was a well kept secret so that the village could grow stronger.

The first test involved Academy students being capture in the dead of the night and drugged so that they would not wake up before they were transported in bulk to under the academy grounds. This area was kept secret mainly due to the amount of security seals barring entrance to any who were not given access to it namely only academy instructors, medical nin who had gained authorization, hunter nin and of course the higher ranked shinobi such as the Sannin, Head Jonin and without a doubt the Kage.

So for the academy students this was unfamiliar territory, which in combination with the lack of food, light and the grogginess from just waking up made them vulnerable and in a state of paranoia. After all each genin was in a room consisting of only themselves isolated from the rest with only one door in front of them. The academy basement level was after all, a complex network of tunnels which had many different entrances but only 1 exit. In addition it had numerous sections each being separated by sound proof walls made of such durable material that even the most powerful academy student couldn't break through. Of course a higher rank of shinobi could break through given the right skill set but for the academy students it was something akin to an inescapable prison.

Welcome...to the Underground. A disembodied voice would ring out in all of the rooms through speakers embedded in the walls of each one. While you are here, you will under go a test. If you can not pass this test, you shall die but if you do, you will be rewarded with your freedom. the voice said once more before pausing for dramatic effect. Unknown to the academy students while their lives were indeed at risk, the actual amount of deaths in the exams weren't that high, it was only when the Tokubetsu Jonin could not reach the students in time that they were killed and even so that itself was a rare occurrence. But the effect it had on the mental states of the children was also part of the test, those with weakened resolves would crumble from the get go while those with the right mind set would push through albeit shaken and would take the test seriously enough to pass.

You will undergo three trials, each one more difficult than the rest, the first will involve yourself, the second would involve you working alongside others and the last..you shall have to discover on your own. When the doors open..your trial will begin...try not to perish to quickly. The voice would say the last statement before all would become silent each of the doors slowly creaking open.

(With Sangil)

From the moment he had woken up, Sangil was absolutely calm, he knew this had to do with the exams after all the only way he was able to subdued so easily would be from his father giving the okay. It was common knowledge that his father would protect him and that the Shinto ground was one of the few areas in Kaosgakure that was simply unable to be infiltrated. It was simply due to the vast amount of clan insect scattered across the ground and the various hives that would kill intruders by swarming them if they so much as set foot in the grounds without proper clearance.

The voice only made things clearer to him as if he was really captured by some enemy they wouldn't simply let him go, they would attempt to torture him and gain clan secrets or something of the sort. Instead it was fashioned like some sort of test.. The exams. This is the genin exams. Wow..this is actually pretty cool despite the morbidity. Sangil said with a small smirk. Sure he didn't like the fact that he couldn't see a single thing but his chimera ants had already spread along the walls in order to give him some information about his current area.

The area ahead is clear, there are a box of items to assist you. It would seem that they aren't leaving you completely helpless however it was out of the way and quite hidden, your fellow students might not be as lucky to find their provisions... Lisa's voice would ring out in his mind prompting Sangil to smirk and put his hands in his pockets as he would head out of the room.

Well then, they were either unlucky and will probably fail the test or will just have to be good at fighting without any tools. He was actually thankful for that considering it would lower the amount of competition but at the same time he was slightly concerned about his crush and her friends, sure Kinjiro could handle himself after all he was Sangil's rival, but Atsui and Teresa weren't exactly sensor types.

She'll be fine. What you need to worry about is yourself for now. Head north, There is another door there. Sangil would snap out of his thoughts upon hearing her message and would quickly pick up what he needed out of the crate, about five kunai, twenty shuriken, 10 explosive tags, a small pack which contained bandages 3 blood pills and a Soldier pill and finally a flashlight and about six chakra batteries. He would keep the flashlight off for now before following the walls and managing to walk up to the door finding the handle and opening it only to frown when he was met with another pitch black room.

Well then...that's no fun. Sangil said as he walked into the room and turned on the flash light only to almost drop it as he heard a screeching sound as a large bat light creature looked down on him from above. You know if you had waited for me to get the rest of the hive to survey the area...this could of been avoided. Lisa said as the bat creature would outstretch its wings and would release a large fireball heading straight towards Sangil.

Your telling me this now! Sangil screamed in his mind as he would quickly jump out of the way while a cluster of his ants that were lingering around were incinerated by the flames...

(With Kinjiro)

Hey dipshit. Wake the fuck up. Drago said as he prodded the sleeping Kinjiro with his foot, the latter groaning before opening his eyes and abruptly standing up. Oi don't get your panties in a twist. Some asshole said it's a test and if you don't pass you'll die. the puppet said with a wave of his hand to dismiss the severity of the situation. Of course considering both of them were trapped in utter darkness at the moment it would go unnoticed by his master.

And that's not cause for concern! Kinjiro screamed in protest with Drago only laughing in response. I have no idea where I am, almost all of my tools are gone except you and I can't see a thing and your saying this isn't a situation. his voice was lower however the panic was still ever present prompting Drago to silence him by punching him in the shoulder. Ow...what was that f-

Shut the fuck up and listen. Drago said cutting him off as he heard the door creak open, it would seem as if the voice wasn't lying about that part. That was good at least his master wouldn't suffocate in this air tight room. Anyways like I said, it's a test, if ya pass we can get out. If not well ya die. Do worry though, you've got me and I won't let my first master just up and die like that. he said with a smirk before holding out his hand and creating a ball of fire which hovered a few inches above his hand and was the size of a basketball. And with this you can see. Heh one problem already solved.

Sure..I guess..but we still have to be careful Ur lucky I already memorized your move set and what pages they were on. Kinjiro said before looking at his puppet strangely. Wait..how did you manage to get here anyways. he said thinking it was a bit odd that his puppet was just randomly stuck in the same predicament as him.

Huh? Oh that's simple dipshit. I'm just too awesome and they knew if they didn't bring me with ya, you wouldn't last more than five minutes before kicking the bucket. Drago said before bursting into laughter at Kinjiro's annoyed facial expression. Alright enough jokes, come on let's go dipshit, I ain't got all day. he said before turning around and walking out of the room.

Hey wait for me. Kinjiro said tapping the left part of his collar a cloud of smoke appearing a ornate white book falling into his hands. He would run outside after Drago before the light completely left the room only to see his puppet crouching down near the floor and tapping it with his free hand. What's wrong? he said before walking over to the foul mouthed puppet only to watch it grin before smashing downward revealing that part of the floor wasn't exactly solid.

Huh, dipshit your one lucky son of a bitch aren't you. It's full of ninja gear and crap. Drago said moving over when Kinjiro attempted to get a look. Oi there's another door over there. Drago said before taking off towards it.

Wait Drago! Let me get supplies first then you can open the door. Kinjiro said his puppet stopping and muttering a couple of swear words under his breath before walking back towards him. Alright..I'm good. Kinjiro said after taking the medical kit and the flashlight, he was already stocked up having storage seals in his clothing for his own personal shinobi tools, he was after all the most knowledgeable among his peers when it came to fuinjutsu having studied it mainly because of his puppetry.

About fucking time. Drago said before taking off again to make up for lost time while he was waiting for his master. He would open the door with a kick causing it to swing open with a bang and he would step inside looking around the area. Huh..well that's boring. There's nothing he- He said before he would picked up by a black blur before flung into the wall sliding down in a heap causing Kinjiro to cry out as the the flame that was giving them light went out.

Heh that's more like it.. Drago said standing up and stretching both of his hands outward six fireballs hovering around his body before illuminating the room enough to view the bat like creature which had chucked him. Damn..your one ugly motherfucker aren't you. he said with a laugh as the creature let out a loud screech before heading straight towards him.

It seems to use Blaze release, we can't particularly do anything to it without risking large casualties. Lisa said as Sangil avoided another fireball, the past few minutes he had been trying to engage it in combat by sending clusters of his ants at it only to have it incinerate them by breathing blaze release fireballs. Yeah..I noticed...tch.I can't open any of the gates because it would leave me vulnerable later on.. he thought to himself before face-palming as he made a realization.

Lisa give me some green ones. Sangil said mentally to his Chimera Ant Queen who didn't respond however green ants would begin to emerge from his hands before vibrating producing a low humming sound as she understood what he was attempting to do. The bat creature would screech noticing the humming thanks to it's sensitive hearing and would swoop down coating it's entire body in flames as it attempted to dive bomb Sangil. He would smirk however and stand still and right before it collided with him it would be frozen in place courtesy of a genjutsu binding and would fall to the floor still aflame.

So..sorry in advance but..I'm going to have to kill you now. Sangil said with a shrug as he pulled out three explosive tags and attached them to a single kunai before backing up and throwing the kunai at the creature. The flames would set off the explosive tags and the resultant explosion would kill the creature half of its body being consumed in the blast radius. Sangil would look at the sight with a small frown before red colored ants would emerge from his body and head over to what remained of the creature now that it wasn't engulfed in flames. It would seem as if it was resistant to it's own flames, I'm having some of the hive consume it so we can gain it's traits, is that okay with you. Lisa asked as she was rather interested in her offspring gaining it's abilities.

Go for it. It should remove our blatant weakness to fire at the very least. Sangil said before a shifting sound was heard as three doors one to the left and right were revealed. Huh..I guess I'm going to have to make a choice..in that case...Left. he said deciding on a whim and zoning out Lisa's admonishment due to his random decision. He would head towards the door stopping only to wait for his hive to finish up.

So I take it I'm not the only one to fight some mutated fire bat thingy. she said prompting a laugh from the boy on the right.

Yeah, your not the only one. That thing almost killed me. Yasei said with a smirk, his fight was rather difficult considering he wasn't particularly the type made for direct combat but he had a lucky break and managed to kill it with some smart thinking. Who would of thought the exams were going to be this brutal though. he said his smirk disappearing as he put his hands in his pockets and gazed around.

And it's only gonna get harder apparently. Zao said as he looked around the room in search of some way out. He had been the first to arrive not having much difficulty with the fire bat mainly due to his element having a natural advantage over it. He was surprisingly calm for once as despite his short fuse he knew that if he didn't take everything into consideration before acting he would possibly get killed. So I guess we are going to be working together. Not exactly the most balanced team but hey..we could of been matched up worse. he said noting that both of his allies weren't exactly good at physical combat it.

Well it was our luck really. I think they did this on purpose because if it was random we wouldn't end up having teammates that were part of our class. Right? Teresa said both boys nodding in agreement. Alright so what no-

The second round involves a team battle, against another team of three with the winners advancing to the third round. In order to secure victory you must incapacitate your opponent. Intentional killing of any one your opponents is expressly forbidden, in addition one may forfeit at any time during the match. the same disembodied voice would ring out once more causing all three of the academy students to jump as they weren't expecting it. A section of the wall would descend downward revealing another passageway all three of the academy students looking at each other before slowly walking towards it. Upon following the pathway they were led to another room much larger than the first where a second group of academy students were already there waiting for them.

Unlike Teresa's group this one was comprised solely of girls, one obviously being from the Dokusei clan while the other seemed to be a nova of some sort and was taller than the rest due to the relative speed Nova aged in comparison to humans, and the third was an Entity who seemed rather bored of the whole situation. Standing near the wall as a Tokubetsu jonin who merely waited until both groups were standing on opposite sides of the room before getting off the walk and walking in between the two.

Here we go... Teresa thought to herself bracing herself for the confrontation as she heard their proctor signal the start of the match before body flickering back to where he was standing before...

Tatotica said with a sad look on his face as he gazed as his former student. You've got company. Rena's voice said alerting him to the two individuals who had body flickered into the area. Hmm? Xander said before he sidestepped a vertical slash from the first.

The man barked out, he was well known as one of the missing nin who had joined the village upon Shou's entry into the village and was clad in jet black samurai armor from head to toe. Saijo Tenmetsu was a feared individual and was the current head of the Torture and Interrogation department a position that matched fit his personality like a glove.

Xander raised an eyebrow as he would dodge another slash while keeping track of the woman who was standing about twenty feet away. Under normal circumstances he would of remarked on the good tactics, but in this case it was more of a pain than something to commend them on. The woman clad in white flowing robes with a half mask covering her face was none other than Forgia Ruiz an extremely skilled genjutsu user who was almost fanatically loyal to the current Yamikage. I see, so while you keep me occupied, she weaves cripples me with Genjutsu and Fabrication. Xander said as he lost feeling in his arms as mist began to pour out of his body obscuring the area within it.

Smart tactic. But..let me show you the difference in our power. His voice would begin to echo across the area as he vanished within the dense mist..

Two individual's stood on the wreckage of the Kage mansion within a massive purple barrier which restricted the area of the battle not allowing anyone in or out. The first of the two was covered in green markings her naturally cheery deposition completely vacant at the moment as she stared at the object of her hatred with nothing but pure unadulterated loathing.

The second individual was clad in cackling armor made of lightning and had an equally pissed off facial expression. She had expected taking out her opponent to be easy but so far she had been holding her own against her despite the various counters she had set in place to ensure her victory. Are you satisfied Eva. Your coup will fail and your conspirators will all die. she said pointing her sword at her opponent as it likewise cackled with electricity. But enough of this game. I'm done playing around. she said bursting forward at Ripping Discord speeds and delivering a diagonal slash at her opponent who burst into cherry blossoms forcing her to circulate chakra through her body to break out of the genjutsu. She would scan the area before her eyes would widen in shock at the sight of her opponent on top of a massive wooden dragon.

Good. Because now it will only be that much sweeter, when I rip you apart. Eva said her wooden dragon roaring as green markings began to spread on it's body.

Yes I did this completely on purpose I couldn't resist having the coup during the Academy Exams I mean, it'll just make it that much more fun to write about. The ball begins to spin rapidly as all the ants enter their fury mode allowing this attack to deal B-rank damage upon impact as well as survive up to another B-rank offensive technique. Upon hitting the target the ball deals the damage and then explodes about 50 chimera ants emerging from the ball and will attempt to consume the target before returning back to Sangil. Because their are a limited supply of his chimera ants in his hive, Sangil has a limited amount of times he can use this technique in succession, at Chunin rank he can only use this technique 15 times in rapid succession before his insects need to return to his body, if any are destroyed it requires a 1-15 post cool down before he is able to use it again. If all are destroyed he won't be able to use this technique for the remainder of the topic unless he replenishes his red ant supply. With Each rank up he can release an additional 5 bursts capping out at 25 times in rapid succession at Sannin rank with a 1-25 post cool down if any are destroyed.

However he improved it further by using it in conjunction with his Illusionary mist which is filled with chakra causing a blinding effect to dojutsu which see chakra as the chakra is the whole mist which when combined with the genjutsu effect of the passive ability is devastating to opponents. It also has a muting effect which drastically lowers the decibels of all sound within the mist to the point that it is only detectable to him allowing all the bloodshed which occurs inside of the mist to be completely and utterly...silent.

When Xander uses this in combination with his Illusionary Mist technique and True Silent Killing it's effect is compounded as all the victims can hear is his voice echoing around the area while their visibility is restricted to nil which in conjunction with the affect of his Illusionary Mist is useful to psychologically wear down his opponents before he finishes them off.

This technique forcibly removes the limits on the body granting the user SSS-rank Strength, Speed and Endurance tiers and while under normal circumstance having such power would burn out the user fairly quickly due to being based in the mastery of Creation Rebirth, namely the Strength of a Hundred Technique Eva is able to offset the technique by the rapid creation of new cells. While in this mode her life itself is used as sustenance for this technique and it is able to be passed on to other living things giving them the same effects. In the case of Nature Release Techniques however when they come in contact with Eva they are instantly boosted to SSS-rank and gain the ability to regenerate upon being destroyed. On the other hand this imbuing effect can be used offensively as with a touch the opponent will find their body rapidly producing cells with no cell death causing large cancerous growths to appear on their body which begin to suck away nutrition before they are finally killed, once this process has been initiated..there is no cure. Each Post this technique is active shaves a year off of the user's life and can actually kill the user if they run out of life to give however the abilities granted by activation of this mode greatly outweighs that.

From within the mist three massive fireballs would be released roaring past her towards where her opponents were standing only 2 being able to dodge while the third was hit head on screaming in pain. Damn..I actually feel sorry for them. she thought to herself while glancing to her left and seeing Yasei.

While seemingly doing nothing Yasei would throw out two kunai both of them flying straight forward with bells attached causing both of their opponents to be distracted by the sound. Got cha. Yasei muttered with a smirk as he made hand signs as they would see trees bursting from the ground ensnaring them and locking them in place, Yasei would lean backwards putting both of his hands behind his head as he smiled looking at his opponents. Boom. he said as both of them who were currently standing still as if they were immobilized would fall to the floor unconscious.

That ended easier than I thought, seriously, no genjutsu specialist on their team..this match was over the minute Teresa started singing. Zao said with a small frown at it being so easy and watching as the proctor called the match. So what are we doing now? he said a deafening sound ringing through the area as the ground itself shook causing them all to stumble to the ground.

W-what was that? Teresa said looking towards the proctor who had vanished in a poof of smoke revealing in actuality the proctor was nothing more than a shadow clone. What the fuck... she said looking around a second rumbling sound was heard the doors within the underground complex simultaneously unlocking.

Some how..I don't think this is part of the exams...

You know Atsui...I never noticed how beautiful your eyes were.. Sangil said as he drifted closer to the girl who was leaning against one of the walls in the room that they were stationed currently. He was rather happy to end up placed on a team with two girls but less happy when he noticed one of those girls was Jaime. Their battle went by swiftly and almost effortlessly with Atsui and him swooping in quickly and taking out two out of the three members of the team. The last member quickly forfeited seeing the difference in their skill and for the past four minutes Sangil had been flirting with the only conscious kunoichi that he could tolerate in the room.

S-sangil..w-what are you saying.. Atsui said while blushing furiously all she could concentrate on was him getting closer and closer to her giving her a close up view of his eyes...his lips. Oh Kami if he kisses me I just might die and go to heaven.. she thought to herself as they were an inch apart Atsui closing her eyes and puckering her lips slightly.

The area shook and Sangil tensed up before quickly withdrawing from Atsui's presence the poor girl slumping to the floor with a dazed look in her eyes. Lisa..what was that. Sangil thought quickly seeing the proctor vanish in a puff of smoke and cursing under his breath. It seems...it is starting..forgive me for not telling you sooner Sangil Lisa said as Sangil paused attempting to process what his chimera ant queen had said to him. What the fuck does that mea- he said before he was rudely snapped out of his thoughts by someone clutching him.

San-kun.. What's going on, I'm scared. Jaime said using her cute, vulnerable voice while clutching on to him. In truth she was no more than lightly shaken by the circumstances but it was an opportunity to pounce on her Sangil and she didn't want to miss it. These past minutes she had merely allowed him to go and "play" with that Atsui girl as she knew he liked to busy himself with the pleasures of other females but right now she would have him and would show him exactly why she should be the one constantly on his mind.

Tch. Sangil said upon seeing who was touching him he would look over to Atsui who was shakily standing up, luckily his love perfume's effects had ran out allowing her to come back to her senses. He personally wanted to shove Jaime off of him but settled for a quick body replacement with Atsui the first girl upon noticing who she was rubbing up against shrieking before letting go of her. This is odd. Let's find some other people perhaps they'll know what's going on. Sangil said just loud enough for the other two girls to hear him before he began to walk away.

Your worried about her aren't you. Lisa said Sangil pointedly ignoring her, she sighed having expected that reaction and decided to remain silent until he was done with his fit. Surely he knew she had witheld the information from him with his best interests in heart...

Your okay!, do you know what's going on we heard a rumble and an explosion and then the proctor disappeared it was crazy. she continued to ramble trapping the boy in a literal bone crushing hug due to her abnormal strength levels.

You do realize your suffocating him right? Zao pointed out smirking when she abruptly let go, he would look at the other three individuals with the boy smiling when he saw his friend Mark before walking over and giving him a high five. So you made it after all, I thought you were going to end up chickening out. he teased before dodging the punch to the shoulder.

What do you take me for. Of course I continued on, besides If I quit I would of had to here your mouth on how you became a genin before me. Mark said with a smirk before looking over at Yasei and raising an eyebrow. Huh I would of thought he would of coped out.

Just because I prefer to fight with my mind instead of with brute force doesn't mean I'd willingly give up in an unknown situation. Yasei said slightly annoyed as he lay against the wall, he couldn't stand Mark as ever since he beat him in the tournament he had never let it down. He saw the only other quiet person in the group raising an eyebrow as the effeminate boy blushed. Alright, so we have absolutely no clue where we are. But..I think we should all stick together and try to find any others, after all we don't know where we are and what other "tests" they have for us. he himself didn't believe this was part of the test but he could never know perhaps they were just trying to see what each of them would do in an emergency situation.

Fact is..we need to get out of here. Zao said slipping his hands in his pockets as he looked around with a frown. He was also extremely suspicious of the events surrounding this, it didn't seem like they would set them up like this. Heh..yeah you guys better get the fuck outta here. Because that didn't sound friendly at all. Drago said with a smirk as the genin would begin to take off running in the opposite direction. He would make a motion to go see the source of the screaming but looking back and seeing his master's face causing him to head out with them. Sheesh such pussies..

(20 minutes later Sangil's group)

It's like they just keep coming. Sangil said as he ducked under a swipe from a Minotaur like creature while keeping an eye on his surroundings, he would gather red ants to his throat before spitting the small sphere of chimera ants emerging and landing on the creatures face. A few seconds later the creation let out agonizing screams before falling to the ground as the ants continued to move revealing that they were eating it alive. It would seem as if during the rumbling part of the underground tunnels must of caved in, linking up with the Kaos Laboratory. Lisa's voice echoed in his mind causing him to mumble swear words under his breath.

Come on we need to keep moving. He called out to the others in his group while looking back to see how they were fairing, Atsui was bleeding but had managed to fend off the massive spider creature that had attacked both her and Jaime the latter of which was unscathed Sangil frowning when he realized that she probably hadn't helped at all. Quickly. he said hearing more roars and shrill calls coming from their left one of the many sections of the underground complex which was devoid of light. The girls nodded and would rush over to him as he would take off for the right desperately in search of a way out.

S-Sangil. Atsui called out causing him to turn around and spare her a glance his face softening when he saw her pained facial expression. At first glance her wound seemed superficial but now after more careful observation it was obvious that his classmate was going to bleed to death if they didn't get medical treatment. T..the room...it's spinnin.. she managed to mutter out before she collapsed Sangil moving in a burst of speed to catch her.

Fuck..what do I do.. Sangil thought to himself looking at Jaime who had a seemingly indifferent look in her eyes. Don't just fucking stand there help me out! he screamed at her causing her to jolt and rush to his side taking the other side of the unconscious girl and assisting him with moving her. They would continue moving slower than before due to having to drag Atsui along but they were making progress at least until another roar caused them to pause.

Sangil. Let's leave her. Jaime said letting go of Atsui Sangil's eyes widening in shock at the statement. You and I both know she's going to die from blood loss if she doesn't get a medic, and we aren't getting out of here soon. Lets leave her and maybe she can buy us sometime. she said looking at him with a small smile knowing fully well that what she was saying was the logical way of thinking.

No. Fuck you. Sangil said as he would prob Atsui on a wall before turning and looking down the path that they had just travelled through. Now isn't the time to play hero. he frowned, even she agreed with what she was saying, but that didn't matter it was his choice. We aren't leaving her, and since you won't help I suppose I'll just have to carry her myself. he said before inhaling and releasing three spheres of red ants which would at least slow the creature that was heading for them a bit. First Gate...Open his body would feel a surge of power as he would pick up the abnormally heavy girl before sprinting forward smirking when he heard Jaime's yelp of surprise.

Wait for me! Jaime said sprinting after him as fast as she could her face contorted in rage. What the fuck why wouldn't he just leave her. She's going to fucking die anyways, instead his risking his life for her. How dare she try to steal him away from me.

Look, light, we can finally get out of here! Teresa shouted causing the rest of the academy students who were running along side her to cheer in approval. She was relieved, she thought that they would really be trapped in here with no way of escaping. She would look back making a quick head count frowning when she saw everyone was still here, it wasn't like she wasn't glad they were all together it was more so that Atsui hadn't been found during there escape.

Maybe she already got out, she has Sangil with her after all, despite the fact that he's a prick, he wouldn't just let a girl die on his watch. Kinjiro said reading her thoughts by simply glancing at her facial expression. He was worried too but right now the priority was to get out unscathed. He would stop when he saw a blur jumping in the air as he avoided getting sliced in half by a large weapon of sorts. What the fuck is that... he said landing a few feet away and turning around to see what had tried to lay claim to his life.

To say it was grotesque would be the understatement of the year, it was nothing sort of horrifying. At first glance one would think it was human based on its shape but as they would look up from his legs they would see that it wasn't at all, or at least at some point it could of been human. Right now it was an amalgamation of flesh, metal and bone, it stood at an impressive seven feet it's body partially sliced open revealing a gaping maw of some sort filled with bones fashioned like teeth. It's body as a whole stood lop sized favoring the left side as its "arm" was massive rippling with muscle with 6 blades bursting out of the skin. Its right arm was smaller looking almost human save for the complete lack of skin covering it the blood dripping down onto it's body. It's head, or what should of been its head was a mass of tendrils which emerged from a split mouth which dominated most of its face the creatures eyes and nose being completely absent.

..We need..to get away... Zao said as he made hand signs quickly before exhaling multiple small fireballs in rapid succession. It wasn't it preferred technique but he was low on chakra having had to fight off multiple creatures during their escape. His eyes would widen as the creature simply shrugged off the flame attacks it's body rippling as if something was crawling underneath before it suddenly vanished a scream following shortly after. Zao turned his face turning ghastly white at the sight, a few feet away from him was Vince, was being a literal statement as all that was left was his waist down, the rest of his torso being consumed by the large mouth on the creatures body. We need to get away! Now! he said making another set of hand signs and releasing a massive fireball before turning and running the others taking his cue with Mark and Yasei throwing kunai with explosive tags after the fireball.

The result was an explosion the creature hissing in pain as smoke blanketed the area distracting it for a moment as they attempted to flee. It would roar as the smoke cleared revealing that it only had been lightly scorched from the combination attack and would vanish once more a clanging sound being heard as it clashed with metal.

Fuck. Sangil sai through gritted teeth as he struggled to push back the creature with one hand while using the other to hold on to the unconscious Atsui. His body trembled from its power but he braced himself opening the second gate and managing to push it back a bit before he would jump backward. Tessa-hime! Take Atsui and get her out of here. I'll buy you guys time! he screamed dropping the girl off his back as gently as he could before he shot out towards the creature.

Sangil! Teresa said as she had turned around hearing him call out to her before taking off to where her friend laid, she picked her up the tears already flowing from the state she was in before she would spare a glance at Sangil who was fighting off a vicious assault from the creature. A massive jet of fire would roar past her as she would turn to see a frowning Kinjiro with the other boy next to him.

What are you deaf Tess. Get out of here. I'll make sure the prick doesn't die with Drago. He said not sparing her a glance as he tapped the front of his shirt and a cloud of smoke appearing revealing an odd samurai like puppet with six arms, Kinjiro connecting his chakra strings to it. He would twitch his fingers and the puppet would jolt forward rushing to go and assist his rival just as Teresa would take off towards the exit.

Heh...trying to be cool in front of your girlfriend Eh master? Drago said snickering as he ran past him heading into the fray as well. The loud mouthed puppet would drop to the ground as the creature spun rapidly like a vortex releasing wind crescents from the blades on it's left arm. Drago would then spring up while opening its mouth a beam of fire being released and hitting the creature head on causing it to roar in fury and hit the ground sending a shock wave which knocked everyone off their feet and caused some of the rocks to drop off the ceiling...

Teresa panted as she ran towards the light, the others had already made it out leaving only her, Kinjiro, Sangil and Atsui left. Her eyes filled with tears which clouded her vision but she kept moving towards the light carrying her friend bridal style as she made her way to it. Almost there Atsui...just hold on okay...we'll be out of this soon. she whispered to her unconscious friend yet it was more to herself, a reassurance that they would make it out okay. She was almost out before something knocked her off her feet Atsui slipping out of her hands and being thrown out into the light before a large boulder would drop down and seal off the only exit.

Atsui! Teresa said picking herself off the ground and running over to the boulder pulling back her arm knowing that despite her tired state she would be able to break through the rock. She would launch her arm forward before screaming out in pain as a searing pain shot through her right side Teresa getting knocked off her feet flying a couple of feet before hitting the ground.

She would clench her teeth her eyes becoming focused and alert as she realized her life was in danger her attacker standing about ten feet away from her. Her eyes would trail the persons legs moving up their body until she locked eyes with the smirking face of Jaime Chromatica. You know, every since I laid eyes on you, I've hated you. you trying to take my darling from me was just the icing on the cake. But now...we are alone aren't we, there isn't anyone who can interfere so guess what I'm going to do Teresa. Jaime said her voice sickeningly sweet a sadistic smile on her face. I'm going to kill you, and no one will ever know, I'll burn you to ashes and it'll be like you never existed, and then my darling will be all mine. she said with a small laugh as she saw Teresa's face etch in a mixture of horror and rage..

Kinjiro! Sangil screamed out seeing his friend get knocked flying as the creature randomly picked up speed and swung at him with it's larger arm sending him flying into a wall knocking him out instantly as he hit it with a sickening crunch. His eyes would look for Drago who was currently laying still within a crater the result of the creature managing to grab on to him and smash him to the ground repeatedly. Sangil you need to escape, at your level you won't be able to beat him without severely injuring yourself.

Sangil would tense up as the creature vanished again only to reappear in front of him swinging downward with Sangil matching it slash one of his own parrying the blow with Basilisk. Gate of . Open he said his body surging with power once more as he pushed off the creature and gripped his sword with both hands letting out a flurry of swings which the creature took while roaring its tough skin shrugging off the slashes without much to worry about. Sangil! No! You haven't practiced openin- Fourth Gate. Open! he shouted out feeling his body scream out in pain as his skin began to turn red, he would jolt forward using the pain he felt as fuel as he would continue slashing at the creature this time making deep lacerations on it's flesh.

He would duck under a swing from it before swinging upward with all his mind managing to slice its left arm off the appendage flying in the air followed by a torrent of blood. The creature would howl in pain and Sangil would use that to his advantage stepping back before thrusting outward impaling the creature with Basilisk coming out through its back. It would flail a bit catching Sangil with its smaller arm and knocking him back surprising him as the smaller arm had just as much strength as the mutated one. He would hit the ground his head swimming as it had made impact before his body and he would struggle to get up as the creature continued to flail about sending more tremors through the ground causing more of the underground to cave in. It would stumble before falling down giving out a last, painful roar that was of a lower volume than the rest before it would become still.

I have to get Kinjiro and get out of h- Sangil said pushing himself off the ground before his breath hitched and he would collapse on the ground his the time limit for his gates running out..

You crazy bitch! I don't even like him! Teresa screamed out as she had listened to Jaime rant for 3 minutes non-stop and had grown sick and tired of it. She slowly rose from the ground and stared at the girl with a small smirk on her face, thankfully she had enough time to recuperate while listening to her.

Oh so you can get up. Good, I didn't want this to be too easy. Don't worry you'll be joining your mother soon enough. Jaime said smirking when she saw Teresa's facial expression. You know, I was rather surprised when I followed you home one day, who knew you were actually from Hakagakure, and that your dear old dad is dying from a really odd disease. she said Teresa's eyes widening in shock. Hey don't worry, after your gone he'll probably croak from the grief, you'll all be one happy family again don't you think. she said with a smile before frowning as a shuriken sliced her face.

Don't you ever talk about my family. You don't have any fucking right to bring them into this. Teresa said her eyes streaming water as if she was crying yet her voice was deathly serious. She would slip into an offensive stance with three kunai in her right hand positioned so they could double as claws. You want to try and kill me, well come and get it. she said before taking off towards Jaime her eyes full of nothing but loathing.

Awh Tessa-hime...your crying. She said her eyes changing as well as she activated her Itsugan while her fists surged with plasma release chakra a wide smile adorning her face as she watched Teresa charge at her. There eyes would lock and the area as a whole would shift with Teresa mist pouring in and enveloping the area around her. From the mist multiple Jaime's would emerge each of them attempting to punch her or grab onto her with Teresa dodging before separating into numerous cherry blossoms before slicing them up leaving a single Jaime standing before she reformed with a smirk. Teresa would rush at her once more before dissolving into mist a tree wrapping around Jaime's body and binding her in place while Teresa emerged from the tree and would stab downwards Jaime's body separating into numerous crows which would scatter before converging a few feet away.

Both of them would stare at each other panting at the exchange before Jaime's arms would fall limply to her sides causing her to scream before she separated into crows again this time heading straight for Teresa. They crows would tear at the tree viciously which would explode into numerous butterflies which would surround not only the crows but Jaime as well with Teresa emerging from thin air behind Jaime who would drop to the ground as her legs lost feeling as well. Goodbye Jaime. she said vanishing once more as the butterflies began to fill the area before exploding.

It's...over.. Teresa said the area shifting back to normal as she stared at the bloody stain that used to be her arch nemesis her body being a clear water like state as she had unknowingly unlocked the second stage of her dojutsu. She would stare for a little while longer as her body would then return to normal before she would slump to the ground fading out of consciousness...

By coursing his chakra to his forearms it unseals a single kunai which it can then launch from its arms clocking at Bullet release speeds.

It's skin has been coated an reinforced with a durable metal negating damage from C-rank and below physical based attacks.

It's left eye contains extremely pressurized ethanol which it can release at will spray opponents with jets of the liquid at Bullet release speeds and dealing C-rank damage upon impact.

It's right eye is linked to an extremely luminescent flash blinding opponents for a short time with the bright light and disorientating them. This is much more effective on creatures with sensitive eyesight.

It's throat compartment contains poisonous smokescreen which can be released from its mouth to cloud the area. This particular smokescreen is extremely toxic due to being carbon monoxide and inhaling large quantities can kill opponents caught within it.

They will also try anything to win his heart and its useful for Sangil as opponents a rank below him will begin to fight over him while under its influence. Description: Itsugan, the liar's eye. Its a Genjutsu based dojutsu which grows in power as the user perfects their skill. The eye has many stages that are unlocked, each adding to the eyes appearance and power. Each eye adds its own unique powers, as well as unlocking the abilities to preform stronger genjutsu. Additionally the eye gives the user a deeper understanding of genjutsu and allows them to master the skill with greater ease. Finally, the eye grants the user a slight increase in intelligence and chakra with each increase in rank.
Each increase in rank also has certain limits, which will be detailed below.

Activation - This is the eye that all clan members gave without the use of the Itsuwari. The eye is, for the most part, rather normal. The only discernible feature is that, once the eye has been activated, the iris has a faint blue ring, even when the dojutsu isn't in use. Once the user has trained to activate the first stage of their eye they can use it with ease. While active the user's iris becomes light blue, while their pupil becomes slightly darker blue. The white of their eye appears to become a moving white mist if someone looks directly at it.Once this eye has been reached the user can view chakra sources as well as see in ultraviolet vision. This is gained by being in complete darkness.

Jaime's version of this technique is used in sync with her Liar's Illusion: Misty eye technique which powers up this technique by 1-rank and causes the ninja illusions to resemble her perfectly.

While converting Genjutsu to Fabrication however, the genjutsu technique is simply forced upon the opponent like a Fabrication despite the damage being fully mental based. This allows Teresa to use genjutsu on those who are resistant to it like Soulless, or dojutsu users and the like.

Description: The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree (crashing ground) coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree. This technique is amazing for setting up other techniques as the opponent is robbed of mobility throughout the duration of them being trapped in this illusion.

Description: These are the first variant of his chimera ants which have assimilated the abilities of a giant T-Rex like creature that he had killed. In addition they have a vortex like ability which helps allow them to drill through things equal to 1 rank above Sangil's rank with ease. Because these abilities are the natural evolution of his ants they too do not cost chakra to use their abilities.

He then gathers chakra in his throat muscles before propelling the chimera ants in a dense ball sending it towards his opponents at Bullet release speeds. The ball begins to spin rapidly as all the ants enter their fury mode allowing this attack to deal B-rank damage upon impact as well as survive up to another B-rank offensive technique. Upon hitting the target the ball deals the damage and then explodes about 50 chimera ants emerging from the ball and will attempt to consume the target before returning back to Sangil. Because their are a limited supply of his chimera ants in his hive, Sangil has a limited amount of times he can use this technique in succession, at Chunin rank he can only use this technique 15 times in rapid succession before his insects need to return to his body, if any are destroyed it requires a 1-15 post cool down before he is able to use it again. If all are destroyed he won't be able to use this technique for the remainder of the topic unless he replenishes his red ant supply. With Each rank up he can release an additional 5 bursts capping out at 25 times in rapid succession at Sannin rank with a 1-25 post cool down if any are destroyed.

As this stage, she can manipulate her body like any water manipulating jutsu, and taijutsu (any physical technique) becomes completely useless against her however she can still use it herself. She can turn off the water manipulation and resistance to physical attacks at will, however when she does her mental based techniques get bumped up a rank in power. If the water property is on, the mental based techs receive no boost.

Kaos was enveloped in the essence of war, blood staining the streets, numerous explosions echoing in various locations around the village however for some reason it felt as if this was meant to happen...as if it was right. Within the massive barrier which surrounded the Kage Mansion two kunoichi were fighting for their ideals, both believing they were right and the other horribly, wrong. Another explosion shook the ground where they fought dense smoke filling the air before it cleared with a rush of wind as if it knew better than to stand between the intense levels of killing intent pouring off of the two.

It was a common misconception by her enemies that Shou Ti Chromatica was heartless and lacked any shred of normal human compassion, that itself was proven false as she suddenly felt an innate sense of foreboding as if some part of her had been viciously snuffed out. She would pause her eyes unfocused as if she was attempting to process something before her eyes jumped back into focus just in time for her to jump back from her opponents strike which shattered the ground where Shou was standing just second earlier.

What...have you done.. Shou's voice was barely audible coming out like a whisper, but even at such low decibels it lacked none of the emotionless or condescending tone that she had spoken with just moments before. In fact it actually made Eva stop momentarily in contemplation.

Something happened to your daughter didn't it? Eva said her voice level as the spike of killing intent that followed after her statement only solidifying her claim. As much rage as she had for the woman standing before her, her own failures in life forbade her from mocking her, instead a calm look of understanding was reflected from her eyes as she realized the woman before her wasn't as much as a monster as she thought.

Good. Then I suppose now you understand, what it feels like when your family is taken away from you...

Ishoku jumped back avoiding a massive dragon of flame which scorched the area in front of her, she would tuck in her legs and curl into a ball as her wings sprout out from her body causing her to move like a buzz saw bisecting one of the clones of her ex-sensei that surrounded her. She would pass through it being a full five feet away before it exploded releasing searing hot plasma which melted some of the hardened magma used to shape the majority of the Kaosgakure infrastructure.

She would land on a tall building on all fours like a cat each limb leaving a small crater from the impact of her body. She would look up only to dart away once more as a massive ball of plasma incinerated the building she was once standing on. This time she swooped down making hand signs and touching the ground causing it to erupt with bone spikes which skewered the remaining clones explosions leave small gaps in her otherwise dense bone forest. She herself would land on one of the spikes perched like an eagle her eyes sweeping the area as searching for her prey.

She would spit out a large amount of blood frowning before flicking her arms depositing a large amount of blood onto the spikes around her. Fucking bastard's worse than Eva Ishoku thought to herself realizing that the radioactive aura her opponent was projecting was slowly killing her despite her routine purges of the radiated blood from her body. She would bite her cheeks in frustration just enough to draw blood before she would exhale a dense white mist which would begin to fill the area, at this point she was desperate to fish him out as the longer this fight drew out the closer she was to death.

She's grown far past my expectations. Tatotica thought to himself as a frown graced his otherwise steely features, he was like wise situated on one of the bone spikes his body small like a child despite being perfectly proportionate. Despite being out in the open he was concealed, light reflecting off of his body and making him otherwise undetectable to only the most skilled of sensors. But this has to end now. he said his hands moving like a blur as the white cloud Ishoku released had located him. Ishoku would perk up and vanish from sight just as Tatotica would finish jumping up before releasing a hi-pitched scream full of plasma release chakra.

Ishoku would emerge from the spike below him her eyes widening as she was suddenly hit by the attack her accent halted as she would plummet to the spikes below. However right as she was to be impaled she would meld with the bones, unconsciously saving her life as her body vanished from view. Tatotica would of preferred to finish her off immediately but he was forced to deal with the white mist he would make hand signs before creating a sphere of plasma chakra before hurling it forward watching as it exploded within the white mist. The resultant explosion took out all but a small clump which continued forward only to stop before becoming discolored and plummeting to the ground revealing, that like their creator radiation was killing them as well.

It is a pity...you were a powerful kunoichi...to waste your talents like this..is saddening. Tatotica said as he would land on the side of one of the numerous bone spikes a large crater a few dozen feet in front of him. His body would come back into visibility as he didn't want to waste his chakra, he would frown looking at the bone forest once more and deciding to clean it up. He would begin to make hand signs, after all he needed to make sure she was dead.

(10 Minutes earlier, Housing district)

The clash of steel against steel resonated through the mist covered area within the housing district as Xander clashed with Saijo the latter earning Xander's respect as he was able to keep up with him despite his loss of vision. Xander had long since regained feeling in his arms and would dart backward after one of his downward slashes were parried. He smirked as he dodged a massive water dragon apparently the girl was able to track him as well.

He would dodge an overhead slash ducking under it and smacking his opponent with the flat side of King Basilisk sending him flying backward. Enough games. Xander thought to himself as the water dragon turned and headed straight for him, Xander simply speeding up before slashing downward bisecting it into two halves. He would let go of his sword momentarily avoiding get his arm sliced off in the process and would twirl in the air delivering a backwards roundhouse kick to Saijo before catching his sword once more. The distinct sloshing and thunk that followed after revealing that the crescent of sound he had released with the slash had found their mark.

Now that the distraction was out of the way Xander kicked at the air bouncing off the sound wave that his kick released and heading higher into the air before he would drop downward sword blade first just as he heard the patter of feet approaching him. He would strike the ground just as Saijo attempted to decapitate him the sword wielding shinobi flying backward as a shell of sound enveloped his target. Seeing his chance Xander took off leaving his sword implanted in the ground, he would catch up to Saijo just as he regained his footing lashing out with a knee which sent his opponents helmet rocketing off his face. Xander would use that momentum to run up his opponent body flipping in the air just as he tapped his thighs two silver tanto emerging from a cloud of smoke. He would channel sound release chakra into them before throwing them both tanto embedding themselves into the floor straight through Saijo's chest.

The bloodthirsty one is in trouble. Hurry. Rena's voice caused him to tense as he landed on the ground as the mist around him rapidly compressed back into his body. First Gate. Open. Xander said as his body surged with power as he took off opening the subsequent gates as he moved through the air.

Tatotica would finish making hand signs, his arms cackling with red electricity, as he would lift his arms to the sky. His action however would be interrupted by a vicious kick which knocked him into the air. Xand- he began to think before he was jolted out of his thoughts by numerous chimera ants swarming around him and binding him in place. The world around him would begin to spin before he was turned in the air and felt like he was plummeting to the ground at extremely high speeds.

To an observer it would be as if a meteor came crashing down from the heavens as the ground would shake, a large blood soaked crater formed from the after effects of Xander's front lotus.The radiation in the air is extremely high..it is no wonder the bloodthirsty one almost perished. Xander would frown silently agreeing with his chimera ant queen's words before tensing up seeing movement.

Fucking...Xander. Ishoku said with a small smile blood leaking from the orifices on her face, she would walk forward before she lost her balance and fell to the ground only to be caught by her teammate who wasted no time in getting them as far away from the area as possible. She would look at him momentarily before her eyes would become unfocused and dim.

Help! Zao said seeing two kunoichi land on a roof a few feet away. We have injured students. You gotta help us! he said his breath ragged as he tried to run up to them before he would stumble and fall over. The two chunin would glance at each other one body flickering away while the other jumped off the roof and landed next to him.

Kid. I've sent for a medical team, you just have to tell me where the rest of you friends are. The woman said as she helped him up to his feet. She had long straight white hair that flowed down to her waist and was clad in a sleeveless modified jonin flak jacket with an up collar was was currently zipped all the way up, hiding the bottom half of her face. She would reach into her jet black cargo shorts removing a small pill from one of the many pouches and would push it into the boys mouth which caused him to jolt awake his eyes looking at her questionably.

Adrenaline pill. Now talk.

Within the chaos that plagued the village, there were some who managed to remain calm despite the discord wrought by the coup. One of such was Lynx, once the first signal, the explosion that took out a large section of the Kage mansion, went off she immediately went to assist the civilian populace to safety. She along with her fellow chunin were tasked with their protection while the genin were tasked in directing them through the long winding underground tunnels underneath the village.

It was during her focus in protecting such civilians that she noticed a familiar figure, one that she had met only hours before. How could they know.. she began to think before schooling her facial expression as one of her squad mates passed her. Dove, I will take the west district. she said before taking off leaving her teammate slightly confused at her sudden departure.

Err okay...Be careful! Dove said spinning around quickly simply catching her team mates figure disappearing behind a corner. Dove would pout before folding her arms and turning back around her vibrant green hair swishing behind her. She's so weird sometimes. she thought to herself with a shrug before she went back to standing guard as the remnants of the civilian populace in the east district funneled into the bunkers under the Colosseum.

A little more... Eva thought to herself as she quickly made hand signs and released a large amount of water from her mouth which clashed with a massive flamethrower which attempted to engulf her and her wooden dragon. She would smirk before jumping to the left avoiding a vertical slash from the concealed Shou.

How are you able to locate me. Shou said becoming visible, with her sword sheathed, as not once upon her activating her technique had she been able to surprise her opponent. A small butterfly would land on her shoulder flapping its wings as she blurred through hand signs before holding out her hands with her fingers outstretched. Discs of ionized gas would appear on each fingertips before she would launch them forward the small discs growing in size as they soared through the air.

You didn't honestly think I only use my toxic vapor to poison my opponents. Did you? Eva said allowing herself a small smirk as she moved her hand the wooden dragon curling around her and taking the attacks for her. The deep gouges in its body would quickly close up before it would unravel and head towards Shou causing her to scowl.

I see, it would seem you realized poison wouldn't be enough to dispose of me. Shou said before she made hand signs and touched the roof trapping the wooden dragon within her technique as 16 pillars formed around it. Now that that's out of the way. she said her as the butterfly on her shoulder would fly into her mouth, Shou smirking before swallowing it a surge of chakra filling the area.

Eva would jump back frowning as she saw her opponent change into a chakra based state after all it would delay her strategy a bit further. Shou would burst forward while unsheathing her sword and swinging horizontally Eva's eyes widening as she realized that her physical attributes felt as if she was slowed. Finally first bloo- Ugh you bitch. she said as a fountain of luminescent blood erupted from Eva most getting on Shou's sword but some also getting on the floor around her. The reason for her remark was clear as a sizzling sound filled the air the ground the blood splattered on being melted by the extremely acidic properties of Dokusei blood.

Shou would glance at her sword which had been melted to half its size before she would spin to the right avoiding a left hook and would lash out with her foot only for it to be checked with Eva's elbow. She would move her arm quickly blocking a chakra scalpel laced fist with her sword cursing as it shattered sending metal shards flying through her body. The attack would slice her side but wouldn't hit her dead center Shou using that to release a point blank sphere of Ghost Lightning at her opponent. Eva's body would become coated with wood right before it detonated sending her flying into the lightning barrier her body slumping to the ground.

Pitifu- Shou began to say her eyes widening as she saw Eva get up her right arm gone and the right side of her body scorched but rapidly regenerating. Your...a fucking monster. Shou said as she released another Primal ball seeing Eva rapidly regrowing her arm however this time upon detonating it ended up releasing the Wooden dragon in the process with Eva taking the attack head on with Shou panting as her body returned to normal.

Zao had managed to point Serenity in the right direction and with his assistance she was able to locate the rest of the academy students just as the medical team arrived in the vicinity. Is this all? Serenity said looking at Zao who was currently being checked by one of the med nin. He was one of the less worse for wear as two of the medical nin had rushed over to an unconscious girl and were frantically trying to resuscitate her.

No..Sangil, Teresa & Kinjiro are still down there. When I realized they were still down I tried to go get them but the ground rumbled and it caved in.. Zao said pointing to a spot near the wall of the academy.

I see.. Serenity said rushing over to the spot in question and making hand signs while thanking Kami that she was blessed with an Earth affinity. The ground would part revealing a dark hole one of the med nin following her and turning on a flash light as they made their descent. She would scan the area bolting when she saw a figure lying on the floor near the center of the room. You two come with me, that is only one out of the four that we need to locate. she said seeing a dimly lit corridor at the right end of the room one of the three med nin staying behind to evacuate the unconscious girl.

She would dash into the room her eyes widening as she saw a humanoid figure as well as what appeared to be a swarm of insects fighting off three grotesque creatures her right hand moving to her kama as she went over to assist them. The med nin would move to the left side of the large room seeing a figure laying on the on the ground.

About fucking time someone showed up. Drago said as he saw one of the creatures legs get cut off before it was quickly decapitated as it fell to the floor. He and Sangil's hive had been fighting off creatures since their respective owner became unconscious and he had used up almost all his chakra forcing him to rely on the various weapon traps Kinjiro built inside his body. He would jump backward as the woman moved past him killing the snake like creature he was having trouble with while the last creature was finished off by the clump of red ants.

An autonomous puppet that confirms the Ningyo.. But then..where is the Shinto heir.. Serenity said after studying Drago her eyes trailing the clump of ants which would move to the center of the room before disappearing from side. Where did they..oh..that's interesting. she would notice Sangil's body become visible the appearance of his body actually startling one of the medical nin.

Come on. We need to move them out of here. Serenity said as she heard more shrill cries approaching causing her to frown before she made hand signs and tapped the ground a large column of stone sealing off the cavern to the north. She would turn and head out of the room seeing that the med nin had already evacuated her facial expression unchanging as she saw the vast quantities of blood and the bodies of creatures strewn around the room. [i]That makes three..I suppose the Chromatica must of perished..

Are you done. Eva would say as the explosion cleared her body already repairing itself from the attack her exo-suit completely destroyed. She was rather lucky she had managed to put up that extra defense or the attacks would of too little of her body to successfully regenerate from. She would glance at her palms a small seed sliding out of the small skin pouch just under her wrist before she would swallow it feeling her reserves get replenished in the process as the wooden dragon rushed past her.

Damn it, why don't you stay dead! Shou screamed out as she made hand signs inhaling a deep breath before exhaling a massive stream of fire which engulfed the dragon burning it to ashes. Her eyes would widen as she had to keep the flamethrower continuously active as no sooner did she let up did the wooden dragon begin to replenish. I can't keep this up for much longer. she said cutting the chakra flow to her throat before diving to the side as the wooden dragon would continue forward despite not fully regenerating.

Your running out of chakra aren't you Eva said smirking as her plan was working, during this particular fight she had been eating her seeds as well as two soldier pills in order to replenish her chakra. Her techniques despite her pinpoint chakra control consumed a lot of chakra and if not for her preparing in advance she would of not been able to survive Shou Ti's onslaught of attacks. Face it Shou, you've lost. she said before dodging a beam of plasma release chakra.

I have more than enough to finish you off! Shou screamed back in frustration, realizing what Eva had been banking on in the first place. She had been over confident, not to mention caught slightly unawares and the pills she had on hand were poisonous a fact revealed as she had tried to consume one with no effects other than her chakra being used to purge it out of her system. She didn't realize the depths of the treachery within her administration, the entire medical team was on Eva's side. I underestimated her charisma...fucking shit. she thought to herself as she made hand signs once more before turning as the wooden dragon approached her from the rear, with Shou exhaling a large quantity of ionized gas causing it to disintegrate allowing her to put some distance between them.

Hmm? Eva said seeing Shou's attack before smiling as she would watch her opponent begin to gasp for air. So the air finally ran out, like I said did you really think I only used my toxic vapor for poisoning? she said as she saw the horrified look in her opponents eyes. I'm sure your wondering how I'm surviving. That's actually pretty simple unlike you, while I'm in this state I don't need to preform respiration if I need energy I simply undergo photosynthesis. she said merely watching as Shou dropped to the ground suffocating as Eva's toxic vapor had spread throughout the area within the barrier the oxygen having slowly been used up or tainted throughout the course of the battle. Hurry up and die already. she said her voice completely devoid of compassion as she watched her writhe on the ground.

Not without you Shou thought to herself as she lay on the ground managing to make a single hand sign by sheer force of will detonating the hundreds of explosive tags she had placed throughout the Kage Mansion. The explosion would consume the entire barrier in intense flames but it wouldn't spread to any other section thanks to it's strength. The barrier fire from the explosion would slowly recede revealing a large sphere of water, inside of which was a large rose which managed to stay undamaged despite the severity of the explosion. The water would ripple before losing form and would flow to the ground while the flower would slowly open revealing an unscathed Eva.

It's over! Eva shouted as loud as she could a true smile devoid of malice or anger finally adorning her face as the barrier would proceed to disappear allowing her to view the state of her village. She her smile would disappear before she simply hardened her facial expression upon seeing the damage, large amounts of fund would have to be diverted for repairs. Report. she said holding her hand out as a Dokusei clan member body flickered next to her holding in his hands a set of clothes.

Shou's forces have either been eradicated or have fled the village, most of the shinobi sided with the resistance and because of that we have a decisive victory. Though multiple lives were lost and infrastructure damage is at an all time high.. He would look the other way a blush adorning his face as he tried not to look at Eva's naked body despite the severity of the situation.

I see. I want the gates secure and an lock down in place I don't want anyone leaving or entering without my knowledge. Eva said as she finished clothing herself before gazing at her clan member. Inform the chunin that the danger has passed, and begin the reconstruction effort so that the civilians do not become restless. In addition I want you to send word to our shinobi on missions to return to Kaosgakure. I need to know who are loyal to the current shift in leadership and who shall be reported as missing nin. Understood?

Yes Godaime Yamikage-sama. The clan member said with a short bow before body flickering away. Eva would scan the area once more before taking off as well heading straight towards the hospital where she was sure they would need her assistance.

Hmm Godaime.. huh. It has a nice ring to it.

End Note: Whew...that was actually quite tough to write, I was constantly thinking..fuck what do I do how to I make this happen etc not to mention I was in a depressy mood all day. But it's here it's done and yeah ^ that's what happened. Of course it isn't all smiles and victories, but you'll see the aftermath of the coup next chapter.

Serenity Tamanegi - A skilled jonin level Kunoichi who was supposed to be appointed to the head jonin rank before the Yondaime Yamikage's regime. She decided to hide her skills at risk of being killed for being too much of a threat and succeeded in fading into obscurity. She is very blunt and skilled in deception having been trained in infiltration during her time as a Tokubetsu Jonin.

Dove Dokusei - Dove has been dubbed a combat genius among her peers despite her overall clueless attitude when out of it. She was the Kunoichi of the year of her graduating class out classing all of her peers except Lynx by a wide margin. She is generally clumsy, forgetful outside of combat however she does a complete 180 within combat with her personality used to trick opponents into underestimating her.

Four figures were moving at high speeds taking off into the deeper reaches of the land of Kaos as if they were pressed for time. The first was a teenage girl wearing a partially unbuttoned vest and a short skirt her jet black hair broken by a streak of purple down the front. She was followed by a small black sphere and appeared to be leading the group of people her forehead protector not even on her person.

The second was wearing glasses and dressed in a white suit with a black rose in the breast pocket and was carry a large saw like sword however didn't seem burdened in the slightest. His eyes although focused would occasionally drift to the back of the pack before going back to watching what was in front of him.

The third and fourth figures were exactly alike a large gourd on their back a silver metallic skin tone and the look of disinterest in everything around them. The only difference was that one had a slashed Kaosgakure forehead protector, while the other periodically changed from her to the lone male in the pack to a curvaceous blond while running as if trying to decide what fit it best..

(Kaos Hospital)

It was pure unadulterated chaos, medical nin were rushing everywhere in a bid to save the critical cases while the in-training medical nin were being used to guide and treat the non heavily injuries patients. Shinobi ranging from Jonin all the way down to genin were flooding in and out some coming while holding other injuried and others managing to stumble into the hospital while covered in there own and other's blood.

One of such individuals was Xander as after he had rushed Ishoku into the hospital she had been immediately taking to the ICU for radiation patients something that was made specifically due to the high amount of Chromatica clan members in the village. He had been forced to undergo a mandatory check up and was currently being held in a locked room so his slightly radioactive body didn't affect others. It was an annoying but necessary so he didn't complain only wait patiently until he was able to be released.

... He would begin to pace back and forth growing slightly impatient as he had been waiting inside of this glorified cell for an hour and it was severly eating at his nerves. Of course he could simply break out but now wasn't the time seeing as it was for everyone else's safety that he remain enclosed in this de-radiation chamber or whatever the nurse called it. He would pause as he heard the door click and open frowning slightly when he saw the calm face of Eva.

She was clad in her usual outfit and she would wave to Xander her palms glowing a soft green as she went over his body to heal any damage his gate usage had done seeing as the radiation had be detrimental to his hive's natural self repairing nature. Her eyes were blank as lifeless even though they should of been happy, and his frown would only become worse the longer she stayed silent.

It was obvious what the problem was and right now he was only delaying the inevitable by not saying anything even though he was sure she didn't want to talk about it. How bad. Is she. Xander said grabbing both of her shoulders and pushing her away so that she could stop avoiding his gaze. He expected an explosion seeing as Eva's emotions tended to get the best of her when it came to her beloved.

Though Eva's eyes when she met his gaze almost broke his usual calm collected demeanor right then and there. Her eyes were dejected the usual light which filled them even when she was royally ticked off was absent, it was as if her happiness itself was sucked out of her body leaving just a husk of who she was No, she couldn't be..she was really messed up when I saw her last but Ishoku isn't the type to simp- Xander would stop when she raised her hand and shook her head with a pained facial expression.

What she's going through now...makes me wish she was. The radiation has been purged from your system Xan. Your son's in the children ward due to overuse of the gates and chakra exhaustion of course his hive is already working to repair his body but you should see him, he needs the support. She said before gently pushing off his hands before turning around and briskly walking away before pausing at the door. I have other patients to check on and..one more thing, don't check up on her. She explicitly told me that she doesn't want "Fucking Xander" to see her like this.

Leave her be, and go tend to the larvae. Rena said as he started to go after her knowing that she was merely bottling up her emotions. The muscles in his jaw would tense briefly as he admitted that Rena was right in her deduction and he would put his hands in his pockets as he went to go look for his son.

(Kaosgakure Hospital Administrative Office 5 Hours later)

Eva was sitting in her desk her head in her hands as the full effects of her actions had hit her. Sure the coup was a success and the actions would benefit the village as whole but their economic and military strength had been compromised temporarily. Just looking at the medical reports gave her a headache and her anguish over the state of Ishoku only aggravated her overall pain.

Right now all of the critical patients were stable or at the very least as stable as they could get while those with somewhat life threatening injuries were likewise being treated, the bulk of shinobi however were already undergoing the reconstruction effort with a majority of her clan members helping by making wooden houses to replace those which were lost. Luckily a lot of the housing and economic sectors weren't too damaged thanks to being primarily made out of hardened lava and as such were difficult to destroy without being specifically targeted.

While the economic sector would eventually stablize in a few months it was obvious that reforms would need to be made to the military side of things. Suo's forces had occupied many of the top positions and now most of that along with any information they had was lost, of course prisoners had been taken and were currently being tortured for any information but that would only yield some results. Luckily Zero Bishamon was still on their side as her spy network was extremely valuable to the village however she had been on voluntary exile since Shou took over.

Now Eva would have to reconstruct the shinobi program from the ground up and although it pained her she would have to impose much stricter training regiments for the shinobi that currently remained. Isolation training regiments of course, which would hurt the Kaosgakure economy even more, she would have to plead with the Shadow Daimyo for additional funding something she would rather not have to do at all due to his.. capricious nature.

Her thoughts would be interrupted as Serenity walked into the medical office with a solemn facial expression. Forgive me Godaime-sama but I wish to inform you that we still do not know what to do about the academy students, seeing as one is dead and another's body couldn't be found and the coup occurred during their exams the remaining jonin are at a loss at what to..expect for teams. she said walking forward and placing a scroll in front of Eva who's eyes would narrow.

In addition a Lynx Shinto is missing as well..though we doubt her death it is however quite likely that she used the times to defect the village and with one of the Bishamon on Rei's squad also dead that's two genin squads which are...incomplete. Serenity said choosing her words carefully so as not to anger her new leader, sure Eva wasn't one to lash out but with the stress placed on her she wouldn't blame her if she snapped.

Eva would look at the scroll reading it's contents with a slight frown before closing it and leaning back into her chair. Leave me for now. In three hours I want you, Xander, Lloyd, Rei, Keikoku & Pakura to report to my office. Then we will talk about squad placements. Also on your way out find Ceres I wish to speak to her. Eva said, Serenity nodding before walking out of the door and closing it behind her.

I hope the kids forgive me for this...but I have no choice at this point.. Eva thought to herself her face once again becoming pained at the results of her coup, it would make the village stronger, but her shinobi will have to suffer for a time. She would look up once again as a dark skinned woman with long flowing white hair tied in two ponytails entered the room.

She was wearing the standard medical nin jacket and under it wore a sleeveless vest that was reinforced with studded leather, her legs were clad in black shorts with wire net leggings and white sandals and it would seem like there was a constant buzzing coming from within her body. Ah Ceres your here. I suppose you know why your here seeing as I will now need you to become the Head Medical Nin. I will still help out when I can but my new duties come first.

I understand Godaime-sama. Ceres said her face blank even though inside she was jumping for joy seeing as she had coveted the head medic position for a long time, but knew unless Eva decided to step down it would be unlikely for her to ever get it. She didn't show her happiness however as she knew that her Yamikage was stressed out and she didn't want to set off a ticking time bomb.

Good. I'll leave the rest of the medical sorting out to you. Eva said getting up and making hand signs before pulling out a scroll from one of the pockets in her suit and sealing her personal effects into it. In addition I want you to put one of the older members of the medical staff and draft them into the new academy program that I am drafting up. she said before walking out of the door with Ceres waiting a little while before closing it and looking around her new office.

(Children's ward)

Teresa would wake up with a start groaning in pain as her side still ached her eyes scanning around the area to find out where she was, she would sigh in relief as she saw Atsui laying in a bed next to her bandaged up and slightly pale but otherwise fine. They had made it out alright, she would briefly smile before the full impact of what she had done got to her causing her smile to disappear as she felt disgusted in what she had been pushed to do it.

Sure the justification was there, it was kill or be killed and Jaime had hated her ever since the first week in the academy. But it didn't make it right, she wanted to be a medic a person who healed sick people and kept people alive, and the first thing she did in the sign of danger was kill someone who was obviously goading her and was possibly slightly mentally unstable.

It was as if she couldn't go on, she didn't even know why she felt like this, but it felt wrong and horrible and she didn't know how to make it stop. I...I didn't even leave a body.. she thought to herself covering her face with her hands albeit wincing slightly in the process and would silently sob.I-I'm sorry Jaime.. she said in a low voice in-between sobs

You know, she was a bitch anyways. Sangil's voice said causing her to recoil as if she had been struck Teresa's head turning to the curtain next to her. Sangil was behind it his eyes closed and his body still as it ached all over even with the help of medical nin and his chimera ants. The reason for the curtain was to seperate boys from girls, something that displeased him greatly so as soon as Lisa was done being angry at him he'd ask her to send some soldier ants to get rid of the offending object.

Shut up Sangil you don't even know what your talking about. Teresa said glaring at the curtain in between them seeing as she couldn't glare at him directly. What was he trying to do comfort her try to make her feel better about her murder, no that was stupid there wasn't any justification in what she did she could made her see reason or dispatched her.

Just don't blame yourself, she wasn't mental or anything, she was just cold and selfish. If she didn't get her way she'd make you miserable, and if she couldn't make you miserable for any reason she'd hurt those around you. Honestly I'm glad she's gone and you should be too, because I know your not the type of person who would go that far for no reason. Sangil said once more with a sigh, seeing that Teresa had stopped talking yet again possibly trying to tune him out or listening closely either way he'd said his peace.

Perhaps it's that kind nature of yours that makes you so desirable Tessa-hime He said with a chuckle before he would become silent once more instead thinking of the brief conversation he and his father had a couple of minutes before Teresa woke up. He's proud of you, even though the jerk won't admit it. Mother told me so, he's just being his usual way so don't let it get to you. Lisa's voice rang out in his head causing him to smirk.

I take it...your not mad at me anymore then. He replied back as he would slowly find himself inside of his mindscape where Lisa would roll her eyes at him before hugging him tightly. Never do that again. Or at least next time try to get away from the threat before you pass out. Now go back that girl of yours is talking to you again. Lisa said with the last part having a slight twinge of annoyance in it.

Hey Sangil. Teresa's voice would ring out just as he entered the real world again. She had been contemplating his words and even though she still felt guilty for taking a life she didn't feel sick to her stomach about her actions. Sangil wake up I have to tell you something. she said slightly annoyed though she knew that he must be in pretty bad shape seeing as she had to leave him and Kinjiro to fight off that beast on their own.

Yeah I'm still here. Sangil said with a small sigh seeing as he was about to drift off to sleep again. If it's about Kinjiro he's fine, his puppet saved both of our lives actually because my hive couldn't of been able to fight everything off on its own. he said thinking she was worrying about the others seeing as she probably would only be able to see Atsui and not any of the others.

Oh that's good then. But what I wanted to say was thanks for what you said earlier. Teresa said before she plopped back down into the bed and tried to fall asleep. It was times like this, when he wasn't such a jerk or a wannabe playboy that she actually liked his company perhaps if he was like this all the time. Yeah just maybe..

No problem Tessa-hime, now then... Can I see your panties.

(Kage Mansion 3 hours later)

Eva was decked in full Yamikage garb as, just an hour prior she had given an announcement to Kaosgakure of the state of things and had received much cheering from her people. She however had to explain how Kaosgakure would have to change for a while becoming heavily militaristic until it's strength was back to what it used to be.

For now until she was satisfied with the strength of the village it was now an isolationist village. Only missions within the Land of Shadows would be taken, and only the most high paying, difficult jobs would be considered, the missions most other villages would shy away from or try to take in secret would become common place of Kaos shinobi.

Their way of life would also change as civilians were encouraged to allow their children to become shinobi and now with a more in-depth academy program instead of the trash they had before genin would graduate prepared for C-rank missions from the start. It was a tough regiment that was a hybridization of Eva's policies along with the fallen Hakagakure's academy program.

They would be taught to kill at an early age and be prepared for it at an early age, and even when the village returned to it's normal state the program would continue to ensure that Kaos would would regain it's true strength. The vast majority of civilians accepted it knowing that he had to be done for their protection though there were some dissenters, she wasn't a tyrant so she wouldn't force their hand but they would not get the same treatment as those who agreed to the new policies.

A knock on her door prompted her to look up and sigh as it was time to do the thing she had been dreading all day. Come in. she said loud enough for those behind the door to hear her, the door would open with Xander walking in first followed by Serenity both of them choosing opposite sides of the wall to stand by seeing as their animosity toward each other was legendary.

The third person to enter was a rather tall dark skinned man being about six foot five and was wearing a large long sleeved jacket which was draped around his shoulders instead of being worn. He had long dreadlocks which were tied in a ponytail and gazed around the room briefly with his jade eyes. He had a simple white shirt which hung down to his waist and partially covered his black cargo pants which had numerous pockets for scrolls and weapons.

He would stand next to Xander as a rather slender woman with a smirk on her face would enter the room, she was wearing the standard Kaosgakure flak jacket along with a dark purple skirt which matched her short spiky dark purple hair. On her back was a needle thin sword with wire wrapped around the end and seemingly sticking to her back. She would stop and lean against a wall next to Serenity propping one of her purple spiked boots up against the wall.

The last two would enter at the same time on the left was a heavily bandaged man who's white bandages covered from the bottom half of his face down to waste with only his left arm being uncovered but it was covered with tribal tattoos which matched his hair color. He was wearing black pants and had a rather bored look in his eye.He had no weapons on his person however he did possess a jet black scroll on his back which was half his size and he would stand in the middle right in front of the door.

The last occupant had long flowing orange hair with the tips being black, she had a large bladed fan on her back and was wearing a modified Kaosgakure vest with an up collar and stopped right above her stomach showing off her toned abdomen. Under her vest she was wearing black bandages which mirrored the bandages covering her legs starting from where her grey shorts ended. She would use her foot to slowly close the door behind her her ebony wooden tabi clacking against the steel frame.

So, you've called us here for. Xander said scanning the room after breaking his staring match with Serenity, he would glance at the other occupants, Lloyd being the closest to him, Rei propped up against the wall, Keikoku looking bored as usual and Pakura currently sporting a frown most likely because of his tone. One thing was common among them each of them had been a part of the darker parts of being a shinobi.

He was the leader of the hunter nin, with Serenity being a member of the T & I department before she opted out and became a T. Jonin. Lloyd was also a brief member of that department while Rei was a former hunter nin turned squad jonin. Keikoku was part of the Bringer's of Kaos one of the elitist groups within Kaos and he along with Pakura were the only two who actually earned their title.

It's simple. I'm sure you all heard my announcement. Kaosgakure has become..weak since her reign. So I have made efforts to correct this, I have decided to create a splinter group which will answer only to me one secret even among higher up shinobi. Each of you possess something I wish to pass on to the new generation of shinobi and as such each of you will take on a squad and instruct them in the more...deadly aspects of our craft Eva said her eyes scanning the faces of everyone present.

Xander had the same passive facial expression, Serenity's eyes had darkened, Lloyd was frowning slightly while Rei was beaming albeit her eyes possessing a dangerous glint, Keikoku had become serious while Pakura's eyes were closed and she currently possessed a pained facial expression. Usually I wouldn't recommend this but, this generation is the strongest Kaosgakure has seen in years and it would be a waste of their potential if they are treated like kids. Instead they will be molded from the get go into deadly shinobi. Of course if you want out, there is the door however this is an Double S-class secret and you will be put to death if this get's out. Eva said waiting to see if anyone would leave and seeing that no one did would smile faintly.

She would pull out 12 scrolls her hands moving as she would throw two to each of the shinobi present. The reason you have two scrolls is simple, inside is the genin you will be in charge of a lists of their strengths,weaknesses prospective growth rates, relationships, family tree. Everything you need to know is within that scroll. You are to teach them your specialty, not everything obviously I know there are somethings which are not to be taught but enough that in the case you die in battle they can fill in your shoes without much difficulty within the year. she said while leaning back in her chair while gauging their reactions once more this time they were all on the same page, absolute seriousness.

So you want me to teach kiddies how to kill like the adults. Fun Fun. Rei said with the utmost glee as Eva would nod confirming what she had said as a fact. So what about the squads that we already have. she said her smile fading partially as she knew the members of her squad would be reeling form Patrick's death during the coup.

They will be reformed, Serenity, Keikoku, Rei & Lloyd would four will all officially take squads. One of them being the genin you are teaching the other two will be taught by others within this group. They will be put together rather effectively to maximize their individual specialties. Four different teams Infiltration & Information Gathering, Capture & Interrogation, Assassination & Anti-Jinchuriki squads.

So I suppose it'll be split into Infiltration & Information Gathering for Serenity, Capture and Interrogation for Lloyd, Assassination for Rei and Anti-Jinchuriki for myself. It seems you are really serious about turning them into killing machines. Keikoku said his voice partially distorted due to his bandages. And what about the chunin exams? They are in a couple of months

You will enlist them in it. I want to make a statement to the rest of the Great Shinobi Villages, that Kaosgakure is even stronger than before. Now then. Your dismissed, in a weeks time you will begin, that will give you more than enough time to prepare a training regiment and schedule. I will be expecting you within 2 months to begin missions. Do not. Fail me. Eva said with Keikoku and Pakura both nodding before body flickering away, Lloyd still had his frown but he would teleport away nonetheless. Rei would chuckle darkly before opening the door and simply walking out.

You two stay. Eva would say halting both Xander and Serenity and causing both of them to turn and look at her, while Xander was calm and relatively unconcerned Serenity was gazing at her Yamikage expectantly. Xander your new training regiment for the hunter nin have been approved. Serenity you are now promoted to Head Jonin. Congrats and feel free to celebrate..briefly. Now you can both leave. she said before closing her eyes as she dismiss them.

Thank you Godaime-sama. Serenity said with a short bow before she would exit via body flicker leaving Xander alone in the room with Eva staring at her intently. This would continue for a minute before Eva would open her eyes and gaze at him slightly annoyed that he was still there even though she knew why he hadn't simply left.

Talk. Now. Xander said taking his arms out of his pockets and folding them across his built chest, his teammate was acting out of character and the other...Kami knows what happened to her that made her not want him to see her at all. He didn't like being left out of the loop so now it was Eva's chance to explain why she seemed to distraught.

Damn it Xan-kun... Eva said her annoyed gaze vanishing and turning into remorse when she looked into his eyes and saw behind his otherwise calm facade he was concerned and she was attempting to shut everyone out at the moment. Sensei...He really did a number on her you know. ...She's dying Xan-kun and I can't fucking fix it. The radiation is practically eating her away, she'll be lucky if she lasts a year. she said before her breath hitched half way through an tears began to pour down her cheeks with Xander's calm face breaking as he slipped into grimace.

There wasn't anything to say, after all nothing would make it better, it wasn't like he could say blame it on him or that she'll get better or that she'll be heading to a better place. No, both of them know it would all be bullshit, it was something that happened because of chance, a calculation that all three of them had messed up on and now they would be paying the price for it.

So I guess Kaosgakure was a bust then eh? A hooded figure said with a small chuckle as he walked with another figure back towards the land of madness. At least we got to test if that technique worked right. He said a gust of wind blowing and knocking off the hood from his head Saisho Kugeki grinning as he looked at the scowling face of the woman next to him.

It was interesting to write of course, and I had already planned for this book to become dark rather quickly unlike in Thorn Book the genin in this one will be undergoing serious training rather quickly, I'm sure your like but then they'll crush the competition. Well that's what Eva is going for but um...We'll see what happens.

New Faces

Keikoku Tatsumaki - A Jonin who is also a member of the Bringers of Chaos along with his girlfriend Pakura Wei. He is rather experienced in fighting Jinchuriki and is known around the shinobi world as Demon Killer Kei because of his proficiency against them.

Pakura Wei - A Tokubetsu jonin who's medical skills have been specifically honed for killing rather than the reconstruction of others. Even though she isn't an official medical nin her skills are known amount Kaos Shinobi despite that she keeps a low profile most of the world only knowing her due to her being in the Bringers of Chaos.

Lloyd Henko - A former member of the T & I department who left after he found the thrill of torturing people addicting, he has a rather weird philosophy code in which he believes children should be spared the sight of how truly fucked up the world is and is usually seen as happy and easy going around them because of this.

Rei Zankokuna - One of the most brutal hunter nin Kaosgakure produced however the shinobi world only knows her by her code name Razor, since becoming a squad jonin she has changed her appearance and personality to match a thrill seeking sensei. Her real personality is rather morbid and prefers to kill quickly and have fun with the dead body afterwords.

(1 Week Later Kage Mansion)

Eva was happier, well not by much but it was better than how she was seeing as the reconstruction effort was now complete she wouldn't of thought it was possible but the work ethic of the Kaosgakure shinobi and the members of the Dokusei clan was rather admirable. During the week they had worked without end to rebuil the village and as such she had worked her hardest along with the medical teams to get everyone injured back into shape.

Of course there were some she couldn't save, her mind wavering to the state of her beloved, but for the most part they had only gotten about 10 causalities due to injuries with the rest either being terminal due to radiation poisoning or having to retire from active duty. However that was only a small percentage as the most injured would recover and with rehabilitation be fit for active duty within the year. Perhaps the most satisfying was the state of the academy students and genin all of those involved being fit enough to begin her plan.

She would sigh before looking at the twelve scrolls in front of her they were copies of the ones she had given to the jonin and she was sure they had already studied them vividly planning how to effectively utilize their experience to raise their targets in the art of each of their specialties. Each of the genin had already been informed of their new promotion and/or floating team status. Sure for the teams already in effect it was a difficult choice to break them up however it was for the best as those teams were made in the old balancing ways.

Now there would be more specialization, these teams would be elite sent on high rank missions while being assisted by more general teams, not the other way around. Sure they would be a small minority however it would give rise to a large back of elite shinobi and even if some died the result would still be the same. After all five or six highly skilled shinobi were worth 30 run of the mill ones the only thing the latter was good for was fodder in war as cruel as that might seem.

Sigh...well then time to get to work on figuring out who is going with who.. Eva said as she leaned forward and would organize the scrolls into piles of three with four additional ones with the information on who exactly their jonin sensei would be..

(Tamanegi District)

The Tamanegi were known for being the only clan who actually had tall buildings in Kaosgakure, it was odd seeing as it was unlike the generally short but wide buildings made out of lava which populated half of the village or the new airy wooden houses and structures that the Dokusei had created in the reconstruction. They were usually made completely out of black steel and were generally spaced out yet inter-connected via multiple suspended bridges between each tower.

It sort of kept them shielded away from the rest of the village, isolated yet being surrounded by the rest. It came as no surprise that the Tamanegi libraries had even more information than the official Kaosgakure one with the clan over time archiving countless amounts of information often giving them the nickname of being the information hoarders. Not that they minded memories, notes, jutsu all of it was something they liked to have, to compile all of their accumulated knowledge for collective study within the clan.

In one of such libraries was Serenity her face in deep concentration as she sat at a desk with numerous scrolls around her however she was currently focusing on only two which were placed right in front of her. She was still deciding on how to effectively teach the two before her, it was mainly because she was teaching them in two different ways. She knew she should only focus on how she was going to instruct them in Mind Rapture a torture technique that she specialized in a special brand of mental torture which was noted to be much more cruel than anything one could physically do to someone.

Then came the fact that she would have to likewise make something for her squad which was to be a Infiltration and Information Gathering one. Interesting but not out of her specifications. It would take a bit of effort but she was sure that she would be able to prioritize her real assignment while being general enough to maintain the squad's cover in the rest of the village's eyes.

Her eyes would move over and gaze at the first file, Yasei Tamanegi, age thirteen, one of her clan members, extremely intelligent which made sense seeing as they were usually above the norm. He apparently was better than average in genjutsu knew some of the basis clan techniques and had a decent understanding on how to effectively use them. His chakra pool and physical combat skills were low while his seal work and latent physical abilities were horrid.

His familial relationship was decent both parents were retired shinobi, mother chunin rank, father T. Jonin rank neither stood out so he was just lucky to be above the norm. Relationship wise he seemed to keep to himself with slight antagonism by a Mark Zankokuna, she would have to look into how that started. So far he had no obvious interests in either males or females though perhaps it was still to early to tell or he simply wasn't focused in things of that nature just yet.

The second one was the file for a Rose Bishamon, age fifteen, the younger of a pair of twins her older brother by eight seconds being the now deceased Patrick Bishamon who was the more talented of the pair. Rose was more gentle a stunning trait seeing as she was a member of that clan who were known for their overall violent tendencies, it was so rampart that it was common place to put more than one on a squad so that one could calm the other down.

This time it would not be so easy however going by her skills she seemed lack luster in comparison and rather general her ninjutsu & genjutsu arsenal being decent along with her ability to effectively use them and her endurance and chakra pool were decent as well. Everything else however was horrid and she figured she would have a lot more work to do with Rose to bring her up to par. Then again pain was a good motivator and the loss of her twin should make a very good motivator at least in the short run.

Regardless they were acceptable and she would be able to refine them to meet the standards Eva set, though she didn't know where they would be placed she hoped Yasei would be assigned to her squad rather than Rose. After all if she ever entered one of those violent streaks she didn't think she would be able to effectively placate her without resulting injuries on both their parts.

The hallowed out and heavily altered volcano that incorporated the hot springs native to Kaosgakure was rather frequented by those who tried to get the stress eased out of their minds. In fact after the reconstruction effort many shinobi flocked to it in a bit to calm their nerves and relax and soothe their aching muscles. Some however came here to think the hot water and steam opening their mind and allowing them to process there next course of action and future plans.

One of such people was Lloyd Henko who was currently laying with his back against a large rock both of his eyes closed as he was lost in deep thought. He honestly didn't want to revisit his time in the Torture & Interrogation Department of the Kaosgakure forces but it would seem that his past was quickly catching up with him. When the Godaime had summoned him he knew something was up initially he thought reassigning of teams which he didn't mind but when he began to see the others he was filled with dread.

Now then expected him to instruct kids in his particular brand of torture, sure he wasn't the most skilled at it but he had managed to become so desensitized to it that he began to actually enjoy inflicting it on others. It bothered him even more when he thought about the two he would have to instruct, the squad didn't bother him as much after all to maintain cover he would be instructing them mainly in capturing with a just the necessary bits of interrogation.

He would frown when he thought of the first person he was assigned, Zao Chromatica, after looking over his file he thought he should have a normal shinobi life, having time to get used to the gritty work while being able to grow as a person. Instead he would have to accelerate his shinobi growth while possible losing out on much of Zao's humanity. It was a pity but it had to be done after all..he was under orders to make him capable.

The second was easier he had already worked with Dove thought admittedly shattering her views of him as the easy going laid back nice sensei was going to be a huge wake up call to her but he knew her and Eagle were still reeling from Lynx's disappearance. To them she was simply missing in action however to those chunin rank and above she was already listed in the bingo book her skill causing her to be bumped to a C-rank missing nin preferably captured alive.

Keikoku and Pakura were panting as they lay on their bed after a rather passionate romp of sex, for both of them it seemed that they were able to think more clearly after indulging in carnal stress relief. Keikoku was the first to recover and he would roll to the side brushing his hand along his lovers side causing her eyes to flutter open before she slowly turned her head to him.

So..what do you think. Keikoku said while his steely grey eyes met her rich brown, his tattooed body contrasting with her bare skin. They had both initially opened their scrolls and had one look at what they would have to do and the kids who they would rob of a childhood had led to almost a full week of back to back intercourse. Now they were less stressed out about it and despite the aching of their respective loins it was time to talk about it.

I already know what I will have to do, luckily both will benefit from my teaching and going by Teresa's file she had already expressed an interest in the medical field I'll just be teaching her how to use it much differently than she had expected. The puppetry specialization she currently has will throw me off a bit however it is something interesting so she can possibly use my teaching to supplement it. Pakura said her gentle voice sharply contrasting with her personality, while appearing meek and well behaved she was anything but that her temper tantrums being notorious among village.

I see, well it is the same on my account, the puppetry is an oddity however Kinjiro has already began the use of seals, so it would only make sense that I begin to teach him the special ones that I use to counter Jinchuriki. Given his clan's abilities it would allow him to join in combat directly along side the various puppets and quite possibly would allow him to gain the bodies of any Jinchuriki that he slayed. Keikoku added knowing fully well the havoc a human puppet of a Jinchuriki could wrought in combat, it was one of the reason villages disposed of their weapons leaving no trace of their existence so as to minimize the possibility of such things.

Yeah, the second one is much easier to handle Eagle's family has that unique kinjutsu apparently rumors say that it's bastardized from a clan that new village Samuigakure. Regardless it would only make sense that she learns anatomy to bolster the effectiveness of using such a jutsu. Pakura said before moving closer to Keikoku as she noticed that a certain part of him had recovered she would smile at him her eyes lusting over.

That would be interesting for sure. It would seem I will be getting another girl called Atsui, that will be a challenge for the most part as over all she seems to be lack luster however her growth rates show that she has a lot of latent potential. Keikoku said as he watched Pakura sink lower and and lower he smirked and decided he would pretend he didn't notice. I suppose I will have to work on tactics and various methods of locating and countering Jinchuriki pre-full tailed beast mode as there are very few things that can cou- Aaaah... he said while his eyes became half lidded...well at least they talked about it even if it was just for a little bit.

A Zankokuna and a Chung. Fun, fun it seems I'll have two individuals to pass on the Fluid Dismemberment style. How lucky am I, I'll get to teach them in two different ways. Rei said as she struck a training dummy with a demented smile on her face, she didn't actually mind taking on another squad the only one who she liked out of the three was Lynx and the bitch had decided to check out on the village.

She didn't take defection lightly, and even though she was fascinated with killing people she was above all else loyal to Kaosgakure. But now she would have to teach another squad in the art of assassination, she didn't mind of course but she hated doing things subtly even though she was perfectly capable of doing so. Regardless she had two new playthings to shape into the perfect killers.

You better watch your back kitty cat. Because when I do find you, I'll be able to have fun for a very very long time, after all..the only thing worth less than a science experiment that thinks its a shinobi. Is one that has the gall to try and operate on it's own terms. Rei said thinking out loud as she flicked her finger the training post in front of her separating into hundreds of small parts.

Xander was deep in meditation attempting to placate the beast which lurked inside of him behind the large scar on his forehead. He suppose it was to be expected, both of the people he was saddled with were only going to be able to be trained effectively by him. They were both unique in their own way and he was sure Eva had set it up this way knowing that he would not hold back in training either of them.

His son would be jointly schooled in his silent killing technique and the advanced chimera ant techniques which revolved around silent clean ups and rapidly compiling the abilities of others evolving to harness it for the betterment of the village. The second was a girl named Hisoka she was a civilian who's parents had supported Eva before the others joined in with finances and were still avid supporters till this day. As a result she rewarded their daughter with the honor of being the host of the Rokubi, and even though he viewed it as a curse, he would be the only one able to train her within the village.

He was thankful actually that they were left under his care seeing as they wouldn't be able to reach their potential with anyone else, it would seem he would first train them separately before pitting them against each other to push them to new heights. I suppose I'm one step closer to keeping that promise he thought to himself with a small frown.

She would be satisfied, regardless of your choices. After all she was your wife and besides the larvae she loved you more than anyone in the world. Rena said causing him to school his expression into neutrality. She was right, he knew this seeing as she was the only female that Rena didn't have any shred of jealousy towards so she wouldn't have any bias when it came to speaking of her.

Eva was smiling grimly as she looked at the hardened faces of all four of jonin who would be receiving her specialized squads, each of them looking determined enough to go through with it. So. You all know why you are here and I take it that you have reviewed the information on your assigned genin. she said pausing for a moment as they all nodded in confirmation.

Good, your genin have already been informed of their promotion and are currently waiting at training grounds seven, thirteen, twenty-one and thirty-six respectively. Eva said looking at Serenity first before moving to Lloyd, then Rei and finally Keikoku each of them holding back their anticipation seeing as each didn't know which of the two genin they were assigned they would get on their team.

Team Three will be headed by Keikoku it will contain Kinjiro Ningyo, Eagle Saran & Hisoka Kunisada. Keikoku you are dismissed, I have allocted a certain amount of funds to get your team the proper gear they will need to get started off. she said with Keikoku nodding before he would open the door before body flickering away. Eva would turn to the remaining three studing their visages before continuing.

Team Four will be headed by Rei and will consist of Mark Zankokuna, Atsui Jiyuushashi & Rose Bishamon. Similar to Keikoku you will recieve additional funds for the necessary gear that your team will require to fill out your duties. she said raising an eyebrow as Rei stuck out her hand towards Lloyd who grumbled before handing her some ryo. It would seem even in such a serious situation they were still capable of...doing such trivial things, not that she minded she knew just how focused the two where when it came down to it.

Eva would wait for Rei to leave before she would continue her eyes briefly meeting her Head Jonin's as Serenity began to try and piece together who would be on her squad. Team Five will be headed by Lloyd and will comprise of Dove Dokusei, James Chung and Zao Chromatica, not going to repeat it but seeing as you heard me the last time you know what to expect. she said as Lloyd would nod before looking at the open window and teleporting away leaving just her and Serenity.

Forgive me Godaime-sama but going on the relationship between the three why did I have to get lumped with the least cohesive unit. Surely there were better fits? Serenity said her eyes stormy despite her visibly trying to keep her anger in check, she knew Teresa and Sangil had obvious problems and Yasei was a loner to make them work effectively would take twice as much effort as any of the other squads put together.

Simple, your my Head Jonin, I know you can handle this. Besides they seem to possess the same sort of dynamic that my old team possessed. Sure they may not become as renown as the "Kaos Trio" but it doesn't mean they will not be any less effective. Eva said calmly before leaning back in her chair and staring at Serenity with a calculating gaze. Unless you are saying you can not handle such a team

No. I will be fine it is just more work than I expected. Nonetheless I understand your judgement. Serenity said before turning around and walking out with a blank look. She didn't mind them, it was the individual characteristics each possessed which made them difficult to mesh together however the Godaime was correct in her evaluation of their collective ability. Now all remained was to see just how far she would be able to take them.

(Training ground Seven 20 minutes later)

This was one of the multiple underground training grounds that Kaosgakure possessed most known for being the preferred training location for those being trained in stealth and infiltration. Serenity herself had frequented it multiple times during her Tokubetsu Jonin days while still trying to remain under the radar of Shou's administration. She would stand both arms flat against her sides as she waited for the genin to arrive.

Sure enough about a minute later the first would walk in Yasei taking one look at her and frowning slightly as his mind began to process why he would be taught by this specific member of his clan. While most of the village did not know of her skills it was common knowledge around the Tamanegi clan on which members of their clan practiced the most deadly techniques of their jutsu arsenal. Hello. I suppose you are going to be my sensei then. he said with a dull voice as he looked into her eyes, he would be responded to with a simple nod causing him sigh.

Soon enough noises would be heard in the distance only for the two Tamanegi to turn and stare at the two genin who were arguing on their way to the training grounds. I can't believe I'm on a squad with you. This is so awful you better not pull that perverted crap around me or I don't care who sensei is I'll kill you. Teresa's agitated voice echoing through the large room where the training ground was located in.

Hey come on Tessa-hime don't be like that, you know you love it when I touch you like that. Sangil said laughing as he came into view first being chased by Teresa he would continue running before coming to an abrupt stop when he saw Serenity and much to her dismay she would see his eyes trail up and down her body far more than was necessary.

Quit doing that before I have to castrate you in such a way that it will be impossible to retain the ability to even think about sex. Serenity said coolly inwardly smiling as Sangil quickly dropped the perverted act. I am Serenity Tamanegi, Head Jonin, and I will be your squad leader from now on. There are no need for introductions I know who you are and I'm sure they know who you are as well. If you have any deductive ability you will notice that this is an infiltration and information gathering squad do you have any questions on what that means for you. she said while lookin at them with a steely gaze to see their reactions.

Sangil was currently looking cowed possibly slightly depressed as he possibly didn't think he would be placed in such a squad, perhaps he had been looking forward to measuring up to dear old dad. Pity. Yasei was obviously trying his best not to look her in the eye, it was obvious that he was knowledgeable about her..methods and as such was way of her. Teresa was nothing short of terrified apparently she didn't expect her sensei like this and she would shakily raise her hand. This isn't a classroom. Put down your hand and speak. Serenity said snapping at the girl causing her eyes to widen in shock before she nodded.

So...we are going to be trained to sneak around and gather information. What will we be expected to learn because I was trying to see if I could be in the medical program.. Teresa said meeting Serenity's gaze but was quickly intimidated and would look away. [i]Damn it why did she have to be such a cold-hearted bitch. she thought to herself looking at Sangil and Yasei all three of them seeming to be thinking the same thing.

Your goals prior to this, don't exactly matter to me now. You will be trained in infiltration ranging from the usual subterfuge like Illusionary techniques, mimicry to more specialized like seduction, temporary mind alteration for deep cover operations and other things of that nature. You will be instructed in quick extraction of information and you will be expected to endure the harshest of torture be it physically, or psychologically. Serenity said noticing the looks all three genin were giving her with Yasei and Teresa being the most shocked.

But before we can begin the conditioning process you need new gear. In addition from now on at 4 am sharp you will be expected to meet here for team training. Regardless of you passing the exams you are not even nearly as close to the level I want you to be and as such, until I deem you ready we will not be taking any missions so you can devote yourself entirely to training. In addition you will undergo a strict training diet to maximize metabolic rate, and yes Sangil I have taken into account your tenants. Now then. Follow me. she said before walking off not even bothering to look behind her to see if the genin were following her.

One thing was certain among the three of them however, there days of fun and games were over, sure they knew being a genin was hard work but they figured at the very least there would be some leeway time before they needed to grow up. But the way their sensei was making it out to be they would have to mature quickly on their own, or they would be forced in the most harsh methods possible...
