Madness to Graves [Travel] Empty
PostSubject: Madness to Graves [Travel]   Madness to Graves [Travel] Icon_minitime25th April 2018, 8:52 pm

Zane walked through the dusty landscape that was the Land of Madness. Around him everything was dead, killed by the perpetual blight which clung to this land. Unfortunately, his destination wasn't much better as he gazed across the cracked and rocky plateau floor. He was heading into the Land of Graves, for Hakagakure and more specifically, the Shinto Clan compound. As a Missing-Nin he had some reservation about simply walking into a village of the Allied Shinobi Nations, especially such a major one as Hakagakure. However, he had been promised safe passage and put faith in his extended family that they would keep their word.
This seems like a bad idea. Andromeda spoke suddenly.
You think everything is a bad idea. Zane responded.
You're right, she does, but I'm with the girl. This is just stupid. Even if the Shinto promised you safe passage, no way in hell there won't be someone else in Hakagakure looking to collect on your bounty. We're worth over 200,000 Xel by now. Paul chimed in, back to his usual, talkative self.
Well it doesn't really matter. We're going and that's that, not like you two can stop me. Zane said, somewhat annoyed by the voices in his head. Instantly he felt a chill down his spine, they were clearly displeased by this statement.
Hi, hi, Ozzy here! I say we go for it, yessiree. Just jump in there and surprise everyone! We should get a cake and deliver it to the big head honcho Shinto guy and just jump out of it. We should get fireworks too. Ozzy suddenly yelled in Zane's head. This new voice was by far the most annoying of the three developed so far, but he had a good way of defusing any tension amongst the personalities and for that, Zane was thankful.
Perhaps we will. Zane said simply and continued walking. In truth they were probably right, actually Zane had even mentally crunched the numbers and as far as he was concerned there was at least a 65% chance this was a trap. In the Pits the Shinto hadn't been able to attack him, at least not once they were out of the arena. Had he wanted Zane dead, he could have simply fought him. Then again, perhaps that particular Shinto knew he wouldn't be able to defeat Zane and this was simply a long con. Then again...they knew about his great grandmother and Zane had even met Zoe, or what was left of her anyway, who had said Lynx was hanging around the Shinto compound. It was his best chance at finding out more about who he was and where he came from...it was probably one of the only chances he'd ever get. So, he walked on, against his better judgement and the judgement of his peers really. He walked until the cracked, dried ground turned to sand beneath his feet. The transition from Madness to Graves was subtle yet apparent all the same. Jagged rocks and protrusions faded into large dunes of sand, but the sun and air were hardly any different. He had entered enemy territory, yet felt nothing.
