| This is a master list of all of the Lightning Release techniques currently made on the forum which have also been updated to the current standard & are available for everyone to learn. They are arranged in sections in regards to damage type & technique type and it will always been in ascending order from the lowest rank (D) at the top to the highest rank (Z) at the bottom of the spoiler tag. *Note: These are just the official NB converted versions of canon techniques & any custom techniques created by members which are not signatured. However to avoid confusion the canon techniques will be listed, and any custom techniques which someone has not signatured will also be noted in it's own list. Chakra Based Lightning Release Techniques- Ninjutsu:
Name: Lightning Release: Bullet Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Offensive Range: Long
Description: The user makes hand seals before spitting out a small bolt of lightning the size of an orange which flies through the air, up to 20 feet, at swift release speeds to impact an opponent to deal D-rank Lightning Release damage and can shock an opponent quite painfully inflicting D-rank Pain to them. This technique is very versatile due to it's low rank allowing it to be used in various situations whether as a standalone technique or in combinations.
Name: Lightning Release: Electric Shock Needles Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Offensive Range: Mid
Description: The user surrounds themselves with countless tiny lights after making hand seals ending with Ram. After the lights are shaped into needles, they are quickly fired at a target and pierce the skin while moving at Swift Release speeds. Because of how small the needles are, they do little to no actual damage on their own (D-rank Damage every 3 Needles). As such, this jutsu is more useful for hiding other fast-moving projectiles, such as Senbon concealing them from view unless an opponent possesses D-rank or higher Reaction Tiers or a Weapon Sensory technique above D-rank. Due to the way this technique is structured the lights can be affixed to actual projectiles allowing them to move faster and conceal the thrown object from view. Description: After making hand seals ending with Ram and a flick of the wrist the user can sending countless small sparks heading towards an opponent. These sparks can travel up to 1 foot away from the user moving at Swift Release speeds however with increased skill this technique can be used at greater ranges. Each spark deals D-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage to a victim upon being hit and by holding a Half Ram seal while flicking ones wrist it can be kept up overtime (Every P.T) albeit costing chakra to keep the sparks coming. Name: Lightning Release: Lightning Signal Fire Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Long (AOE)
Description: After forming the necessary hand seals ending with Ram, the user points their hands towards a certain direction and triggers an electrical discharge that covers up to 20 ft, which then explodes in a specific form blinding those within it's detonation radius (40 ft) for 1 Post (total). This is useful when dealing with those with enhanced vision as those with Dojutsu will be blinded for double the duration (2 P.T). When the hands are raised to the sky, this technique can be use as a signal flare that can be seen from far distances, with higher levels of skill allowing more distant locations to notice the flare especially when fired from a great height. Description: The user makes hand seals releasing a pulse of electrons at swift release speeds with the capability of disarming Basic Explosive Tags & D-rank Explosive materials & weaponry. This is useful when facing opponents who frequent explosive tags as they are forced to prime their explosives all over again rather than be able to detonate them freely. Depending on the user's skill the type of explosives capable of being disarmed vary however the pulse remains over a spread of 10 ft (radius). Name: Lightning Release: Jolt Surge Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Short (Distance), Contact (Radius)
Description: The user makes hand seals before firing off a jolt of electricity from their fingertips which shoots forward at swift release speeds before detonating. Upon doing so it expands to cover a 1 ft (radius) paralyzing all of those within range for 3 P.T. If they possess D-rank Endurance Tiers however they can negate the paralysis effect to instead sustain D-rank Lightning Release damage.
Name: Lightning Release: Crackling Lightning Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Short (Radius)
Description: The user makes hand seals ending with Ram before clapping their hands together resulting in a harsh crackle of lightning which expands outward up to 10 ft away (radius). This crackle is harsh enough to inflict D-rank pain to those with normal hearing while deafening those with enhanced hearing for a set amount of posts. Those who utilize Silent Killing are affected by this technique for double the duration due to intensely focusing their hearing through said technique. Name: Lightning Release: Electric Rod Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: D Class: Supplementary Range: Self, Contact
Description: The user makes hand seals ending with Ram before gathering a large amount of lighting chakra at the tip of their fingers which travels down their body shocking anyone in direct contact with them. The lightning charge is relatively weak, thus anyone with D rank or higher endurance tiers to not get paralyzed by the technique. Those who are unfortunate enough to not possess that however are paralyzed in place for 2 posts (total) before their body regains it's movement. This technique can be prepared in advance as it is trap based, with this technique not being required to be placed in spoiler tags unless their opponent has a D-rank electrolocation technique or can see electrons (Raidengan). Name: Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Long (AOE)
Description: A Ninjutsu technique which after making hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can also be passed through conductive materials (salt water, iron sand, plasma etc) to improve the electrical power of the technique, to attack foes at bullet release speeds. Under normal circumstances when this technique is used the user normally makes contact with the substance however skilled users can use this technique at a short distance away from the conductible material depending on their rank. It typically deals C-rank lightning release damage when used on it's own however depending on the rank of whatever it is being conducted through the lightning release damage is amplified. Description: After making hand seals while kneading chakra in the body and converting it to lightning, the user places their hand on the ground, releasing a surge of electricity around them in the form of a web spreading out at bullet release speeds, which electrocutes anyone caught in its vicinity. This deals C-rank Lightning release chakra based damage to those within the web excluding the user and depending on the skill of the user the size of the web varies. Description: This is a highly versatile Lightning Release technique which has many advanced variations being built off from the Lightning Release: Bullet Technique. After kneading chakra in their stomach while preforming hand seals, the user expels a large quantity of lightning in the form of a bolt towards their intended target. The lightning covers a distance of up to 10 ft at bullet release speeds impacting a target to deal C-rank lightning release chakra based piercing damage. This technique acts like a gateway for several other lightning techniques depending on the user's skill level. Description: A basic Lightning Release technique that allows the user to create a wave of electricity from their hands at bullet release speeds up to 10 ft away. The user can vary its power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock C-rank & below with ease. Either way this technique is capable of dealing painful electrical shocks to whomever it strikes with only the degree of the user's skill separating the lethality of technique. Description: The user makes hand seals ending with Ram before crossing their fingers and pointing towards their opponent resulting in bolts of electricity being capable of being released at bullet release speeds. These bolts cover up to 10 ft away from the user before dispersing however upon striking an opponent they deal C-rank lightning release chakra based shocking damage. With increased skill the size of the lightning bolts can be increased making this technique more dangerous as a result. Name: Lightning Release: Thunder Clone Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C (Each Clone is comprised of 1 C-rank Lightning Materia) Class: Supplementary Range: Long
Description: The Thunder Clone is similar to those clones which possess more numbers in comparison to the Shadow Clone technique yet are far weaker than the original (one-tenth strength). The individual strength of a Thunder Clone is based on the user's skill though they will always have more numbers (Double) than their shadow clone counterparts. The difference between it and say the Water Clone however has to do with it's range, as it is not as limited and is capable of travelling up to 40 ft away from the user before reverting into electricity. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves and resemble the user identically until they are struck hard enough to revert. Finally if damaged enough this clone will revert into lightning materia similar to other elemental clone techniques. Name: Lightning Release: Lightning Clone Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C (Each Clone is comprised of 1 C-rank of Lightning Materia) Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Short, Contact (Conductor)
Description: This particular clone is one of the other types of clones differing from those such as the Mud or the Shadow Clone technique in that the amount produced is less than normal (half of clone limit). After making hand seals the user discharges lightning from their body to form it into one or several identical clones each retaining a portion of the user's strength. Unlike some other clones, ones generated by this method are capable of being conducted through conductible materials and thus do not always retain their form. If destroyed they disappear when struck with sufficient force, but if an individual comes in contact with something they are being conducted through they deal C-rank Lightning Release shocking damage. The range of the clone is less limited than others, normally as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control going a max of 20 ft away before reverting to electricity. However if it is being conducted through something it's range varies though ultimately it can only stray up to 2 ft from a conductible material before reverting back into electricity if it's distance has been enhanced via this way. Name: Lightning Release: Body Replacement Technique Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Supplementary Range: Short, Contact (Diameter)
Description: This ninjutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach using the Body Flicker Technique, the moment an attack hits. This technique differs with the normal body replacement technique in that it leaves a current of electricity behind which instantly shocks (C-rank Lightning Release chakra damage) the opponent being body replaced with usually preventing a counter body replace or a teleport bypass, thus making this technique superior to the normal body replacement when switching with a living opponent or dealing with an opponent engaging the user in close combat.
Name: Lightning Release: Thunder Burial Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Contact (Width) Mid (Air distance, Long (Ground distance)
Description: After making a quick set of hand seals ending with Ram the user releases a stream of lightning which is capable of reaching up to 20 ft away or 40 ft away if cycled through the ground or a C-rank or below Earth Release technique. While cutting through the chosen medium it moves at Bullet Release speeds before colliding with a target to inflict C-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage. This technique is notable for having a zig-zag pattern as it travels with the width dependent on the skill of the user. Rank - Zig-Zag Width D - 1 ft C (Low) - 2 ft C (High) - 3 ft C (Elite) - 4 ft
Name: Lightning Release: Electron Wave Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Supplementary Range: Contact (Min Radius)-Short (Max Radius), Long (Distance)
Description: The user makes hand seals before holding the ram seal as they expel a wave of electricity from their mouth which extends outward at bullet release speeds. While moving through the air it expands in a conical pattern being capable of reaching up to 40 ft away initially having a width of 2 ft which eventually reaches 10 ft at the farthest distance away. This technique does no damage however is capable of disarming Standard Explosive Tags in addition to C-rank & below Explosive Weaponry forcing opponents to have to prime them all over again in order to detonate them. This technique can be kept active for a D-rank chakra price (every P.T) allowing one to adjust it's position in order to sweep the field clear of primed explosives. Name: Lightning Release: Spark Hammer Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Supplementary Range: Contact (Radius), Mid (Distance)
Description: After making hand seals the user will begin to use chakra flow to gather a large amount of sparks to their palm holding it out in front of them before shooting it forward at bullet release speeds. It can reach up to 20 ft away from the user but is typically guided around by the user's hand movements before being detonated resulting in a bright discharge which is capable of blinding multiple opponents within the detonation (2 ft radius) for 2 posts (total). However Dojutsu users (excluding Raidengan) suffer from this for double the duration 4 posts (total) and those with enhanced vision are capable of being blinded at greater distance (See Tier Information for Vision Multipliers) Rank - Detonation Radius D - 2 ft C (Low) - 3 ft C (High) - 4 ft C (Elite) - 5 ft
Name: Lightning Release: Static Jolt Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Supplementary/Offensive Range: Short (Distance), Contact (Spread)
Description: The user makes hand seals ending with Ram before expelling a jolt of lightning which can cover up to 10 ft while moving at bullet release speeds. Upon striking a target they are dealt C-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage and then paralyzed for 1 P.T. However the true use of this technique is in it's ability to spread with the jolt leaping from one opponent to another if they are within a small enough distance. While the damage they sustain is less (D-rank), the paralysis has the same duration, though both the original target and those it spreads to can resist the paralysis effect with C-rank Endurance Tiers to instead sustain D-rank Lightning Release damage. Name: Lightning Release: Thunder Bullet Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Offensive Range: Contact (Size), Mid (Distance), Short (Echo)
Description: The user makes hand seals before stopping on Ram as they knead lightning release chakra within their lungs in preparation for it's release. This technique can be drawn out over time in order to increase the size of the Thunder Bullet which causes the eventual clap of thunder when it is released to travel farther. Regardless upon being released it travels at bullet release speeds up to 20 ft away to deal C-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage to a target before the sound of the impact echoes outward in a radius around what it hits. The echo deafens those within it's vicinity for 3 P.T while those with enhanced hearing can be deafened at even farther distances (See Tier Information for Hearing Multipliers). Name: Lightning Release: Faint Rainfall in Autumn Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Short-Mid (Distance)
Description: The user performs hand seals before spreading their hands in a fanned out gesture. A high voltage shower of blindingly bright electrical sparks sprays out from their hands, moving and striking out at C- speeds and inflicting C-rank Lighting Release chakra based damage on opponents within 5 ft (3 D at 10 ft & 1 D at 15 ft). As a result it's effects make this technique useful as both a 'keep away' and small scale area of effect (15 ft radius) blinding attack as well as a distraction from the user's movements. The user is unaffected by this technique's brightness, as it is directed outwards (conical) however those utilizing C-rank & below Electrolocation or Time-slowing dojuitsu have a loss of sight for 2 posts (total), those with both (Raidengan) suffer for double the amount of time being blinded for 4 posts (total). Name: Lightning Release: Flowering Lightning Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: C Class: Offensive Range: Contact, Long (Distance), Short (Radius)
Description: After forming a series of hand signs, the user forms an orb of lightning which they then launch at their opponent moving at C-rank speeds. Upon colliding with an object within 40 ft of the user, the orb explodes into a shower of electrical sparks, inflicting an additional D-rank of damage on everything within a 10 ft radius each post (total). The time this lasts is dependent on the user's endurance tiers but the constant jolts serve to electrify the area which is quite useful in conjunction with an AOE water release technique or any other conductible substances which raises the power of the Lightning Release damage dependent on what it is. Name: Lightning Release: Scattering Drops Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B (D-rank Chakra Per Spark) Class: Offensive Range: Contact-AOE
Description: Req. Lightning Release: Thunder to be learnt. After making hand seals ending with Ram and a flick of both wrists the user can send countless small sparks heading towards an opponent. These sparks can travel up to 3 feet away from the user moving at crashing ground speeds however with increased skill this technique can be used at greater ranges. Each spark deals D-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage to a victim upon being hit dependent on the user's rank the amount of sparks which can be fired at once varies. This technique is useful primarily as a distraction though it can be used to accurately kill numerous tiny sized opponents with an accuracy most larger techniques lack. Name: Lightning Release: Wall Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B Class: Defensive/Offensive Range: Contact (Distance), Short (Width), Mid (Height)
Description: The user makes hand seals ending with Ram thus creating a wall of lightning bolts that repels anyone who touches it and causes B-rank Lightning Release chakra based damage to them. While Lightning Release is generally not as suited for defensive techniques this technique is quite useful as it is capable of blocking up to B-rank techniques that are neutral against Lightning Release while those which possess piercing are able to breech it however they lose their piercing capabilities as a result. The wall width and height as well as the distance away from the user it can be manifested depends on the skill of the user with those who are more experienced being able to use this technique more effectively than others. Name: Lightning Release: Lightning Quake Flash Classification: Ninjutsu Rank: B Class:Offensive Range: Contact (Radius), Short (Ground), Mid (Knock-Back)
Description: The user makes hand seals ending at Ram and releases a current of purplish lightning from their hands forward at crashing ground speeds, damaging and knocking away opponents 30 ft away if they lack B-rank strength to anchor themselves in place. This technique is similar to Chidori Current as they both have the effect of shooting lightning currents at their opponent. Its range, unlike that of Chidori Current, is much smaller only expanding up to 3 ft away from the user. Though it does seem like it at first, its true potential is hidden till after the initial strike. After making hand seals the user gathers a large concentration of lightning into their hand, then they point it in a target direction. This sends out a single bolt of lightning at Vacuum Release speeds toward a target in a straight line for 40 feet. Upon the initial strike this technique will then split off from the target, branching into 4 more at vacuum release speeds aimed at targeting 4 more targets at moving out at a max of 20 feet. The initial strike deals A Rank damage while each branching strike deals B Rank damage. The thunderbolts have a spread of 40 ft though they can each reach up to 80 ft away from the user in their pursuit of a target making this technique quite useful at engaging opponents from a distance. Each individual thunderbolt is capable shocking the opponent to deliver intense pain equivalent to an A-rank. However the true use of this technique is to provoke the opponent into dodging as due to their pathways it forces the opponent to dodge a follow up faster than the original. While the original technique is rather fast, requiring A-rank Reaction Tiers, A-rank Electrolocation sensory technique or at least a Mashin/Joukai Raidengan to react in time, each follow up requires either a tier level higher in speed or reaction in order to dodge the follow up. Description: Req. Shadow Clone Technique & Lightning Release: Lightning Clone to be learnt. Similar to the Clone Technique, this technique creates clones of the user albeit out of lightning. However, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually revert into lightning after one or two solid blows, though even then it may not be enough as each clone has the tiers of the user and thus things which the original would brush off the clones can do the same. If the clone is injured, it will revert to its natural lightning-state, at the same time electrocuting whatever it is touching to deal A-rank Lightning Release shocking damage. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original including any gear on the originals person, likewise due to ones clones mirroring the original it is very difficult to tell the difference. Even with X-ray Vision, or Chakra Sensory as only X-ray Vision + A-rank or Above Chakra sensory can accurately distinguish a clone from the original due to how closely they are copied. Unlike the original technique this technique is more focused for combat and thus they do not transmit information to the user however this technique is not required to be placed in spoiler tags unless an opponent can distinguish them from a normal shadow clone.

The vortex will take on the form of a dragon's head and will cover the area up to 40 ft in front of him. It will then strike out against the opponent and painfully trap them in the vortex dealing A-rank Lightning Release damage and deafening them so long as they are within it. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target with the user's skill determining how many times it can leap. Description: Limelight is a lightning-based technique that is used when all four users take places in the cardinal directions. They will then join their lightning-chakra in the form of four connecting streams that shoot high into the sky above the target area at Blinding Light speeds forming a dome which encompasses the space between all four users. It will then create a massive ball of lightning powerful enough to incinerate everything within the area of the four users dealing the combined damage of 4 S-ranks namely an SSS-rank+ (meaning it can pierce through a SSS-rank defensive technique neutral to lightning) at speeds equal to the lowest rank of the four individuals involved. It is considered to be one of the most powerful and destructive Lightning Release techniques as everything within the dome is incinerated however it requires positioning to set in place namely one user as north, west, east and south. Once established the surface is now primed with mines which upon a victim stepping on one they detonate knocking a victim up to 25 ft off the ground if they lack S-rank or above strength to anchor themselves in place. This deals no damage to them however the sound of the detonation deafens those who are caught within the blast radius, or those who are within a set range away from it if they possess enhanced hearing, for 5 posts (total). Though it does seem basic at first especially considering it has an activation time of 11 P.T, its true potential is hidden till after the initial strike. After making hand seals the user gathers a large concentration of lightning into their hand, then they point it in a target direction. This sends out a single bolt of lightning at Ripping Discord speeds toward a target in a straight line for 60 feet. Upon the initial strike this technique will then split off from the target, branching into 6 more at ripping discord speeds aimed at targeting 6 more targets at moving out at a max of 30 feet. The initial strike deals A-Rank damage while each branching strike deals B-Rank damage. The initial strike will shock the target and paralyze them for a certain duration while each additional strike of lightning will electrocute the target, shocking them and temporarily paralyzing them for a shorter time. This technique can be further refined through potent Lightning Affinities for additional branches, though at reduced damage and range while the paralysis affect is slightly shorter or nonexistent. If they lack SSS-rank Endurance they are killed by this technique, if they do then it can leaves them alive yet instantly knocked unconscious if hit head on (SSS-rank Chakra+Strength to resist in exchange for SSS-rank Lightning release damage, SSS-rank Chakra+Defense to negate). Even the briefest contact with this technique is extremely dangerous with the severity of the lightning's effect on their body depending on their Endurance Tiers. Description: This is considered to be the strongest Lightning Release technique and typical of those techniques which are unrivaled within this nature transformation it harnesses natural lightning. This technique can be used in three ways, the first being with Inazuma (or any other means of generating natural lightning such as Gold Light Electric Sabre or Raijin no Ken), the second being with a Thunderstorm currently brewing in the sky & finally after a set activation if the user possesses a V. High Lightning Affinity. This technique involves the creation of a longbow and arrow that are comprised purely of lightning release chakra and notching it while lightning materia feeds into the bow from the environment. Once enough has been gathered it is promptly fired, with those without either; Z-rank Speed, Time-Slowing Dojutsu + Z- Speed, Kami Raidengan/Akirama Kyougan + SSS-rank++ Speed, Premonitive/Precognitive Dojutsu + Sam. Level Speed or Eight Gates Formation, being able to react in time to dodge it. It hurtles through the air at such speeds that it is nigh invisible to the naked eye though those with SSS-rank+ Reaction or above can see a sudden flash just as it is about to be fired. It can cover a massive distance of 160 ft (Base of 320 ft if used through construct) on route to it's target and often times due to it's speed it is said to "never miss". Upon striking an opponent they are dealt Z-rank Lightning Release chakra based defense damage, with it being capable of piercing straight through an object that isn't at least 8 ft thick to continue onward (4 ft if Electricity Resistant, 2 ft if also Chakra Resistant). In the case of something being too thick it is then detonated which dependent on if it is used through a construct or not it has a radius of 40 ft (or a base of 80 ft if using a Construct) discharging such a potent amount of electricity that victims are cooked from the inside out if they lack Z-rank Endurance or Chakra Tiers whereas those with a SSS-rank Sam. Level End+Str Tier Chain are merely left paralyzed in it's wake. The Lightning materia gathered by this technique allows it to match things which are strong against Lightning Release as with enough Lightning Materia it's elemental match-ups can be rendered neutral instead. Description: This is a unique genjutsu fighting style which branches away from the original method of utilizing a genjutsu technique by incorporating the Lightning Release Nature Transformation. The Thunder Illusion Style is a hybrid of ocular and auditory genjutsu which in addition to being able to be triggered by layering genjutsu within a Lightning Release (G. Lightning & Raiden count as well) technique can have it's trigger requirements met upon the sight or sound of lightning, thunder or electricity. Due to being elemental in nature like other elemental genjutsu types it overpowers ambient genjutsu when put against it however it suffers from the same elemental weaknesses and strengths as normal lightning. When layering a Thunder Illusion inside of a Lightning Release technique the genjutsu are only required to be placed in spoilers if the opponent has a chakra sensory technique which allows one to analyze the amount of chakra put into a technique or possesses genjutsu detection equal to the rank of the genjutsu being layered. Upon contact with such a technique this type of genjutsu is called a chakra trigger which can only be Kai'd out of if an individual has Endurance Tiers equal to the rank of the Lightning Release technique which struck them. While this style is not required to unlock access to Thunder Illusions (Lightning Release Genjutsu), it is required to get the styles benefits.

Description: The user wraps their body in a layer of lightning chakra using chakra flow that, instead of being used offensively, is used to electrically stimulate the user's nervous system granting them increased perception (A-rank), which when used with natural tiers to make them on par with samurai (A+). The defensive aspect of this technique comes from it's ability to shroud the user in lightning creating a layer which is capable of taking damage from up to A-rank Hybrid based damage sources before failing (damage stacks). When utilized at it's peak (A+ Reaction Tiers) the user's reflexes are said to be comparable to Muscle Tension, thus in the hands of a skilled user it makes it difficult for even the Kyougan to keep up with them. This mode, combined with taijutsu, allows the users to utilize nintaijutsu (Lightning Release: Defense Piercing Hybrid). When utilizing this technique alongside actual Nintaijutsu techniques however it allows opponents feel additional pain when electrocuted by the user's hits dependent on the user's strength tier. Description: Req. at least a High Lightning Affinity. This iconic fighting style allows the user through physical exertion to generate static electricity which allows the user by harnessing the materia to bypass the need for hand seals. Static electricity creates Electric Materia which is not as potent as the natural lightning which can be drawn from the environment instead this allows the user to utilize their Lightning Release techniques at their normal level with a split cost between chakra & static electricity. Besides physical exertion static electricity can be produced in other methods resulting in a unique coloration being either Green (Piezoelectric) or Indigo (Pyroelectric) in coloration with it initially being faintly tinged in low amounts or brightly. The former can be produced in response to pressure while the latter can be produced in response to temperature changes revolving around the concept of "Energy being incapable of neither creation nor destruction". Either way through the use of exernal factors static electricity is discharged a set radius around the user which is then pulled in when Lightning Release techniques are being used. This technique's main drawback is that the user must exert themselves, and as a result when not physically exerting themselves it is incapable of being used just like it is incapable of being used when they are unable to exhaust themselves any further. Furthermore when dealing with external factors this technique doesn't grant any resistance or mitigation of any damage sustained and as such this fighting style can be considered risky if used by inexperienced users. Hidden Village Exclusives (Nazo)Because Nazogakure (The Village Hidden in a Labyrinth) specializes in Lightning Release it like it's other Hidden Village counterparts has access to techniques which are unable to be learned anywhere else & have signatured even some of the techniques in Canon. While this does not mean they are unable to be learned it does mean that they are only taught in Nazogakure either usually at a certain rank, and Nazo Nin are expressly forbidden to teach them to Non-Nazogakure shinobi. An exception can only be made by a PC Kage. In addition rarely techniques are still spread around despite attempts of secrecy due to missing nin, stealing of scrolls or simply disobeying orders, in such cases the technique may be in the master list albeit in a variant or less mastered form. Furthermore like all Hidden Villages Nazogakure gained it's impressive technique list due to contributions from it's clans and active or retired shinobi. As a result Nazogakure Shinobi can submit techniques to be added to the list and will be compensated accordingly (Xel), clans can also make contribution typically submitting less complex or alternate variants of the original technique so as to maintain their clans advantage if encountering it in the field. - Nazo Exclusive Lightning Release techniques:

Description:A technique taught originally to a village based in the Land of Thorn which upon migration was made available to the ANBU of Nazogakure. After making hand seals and ending with Ram the user rotates their arms in order to create a field of electricity which emerges from their spinning arms at swift release speeds. This spreads outwards up to 1 ft (radius) disrupting the gathering of chakra of an opponent if they lack Lightning Release Affinity (includes Magnet, Raiden & any Dual or Tri-Combination Releases which include Lightning while those with Void, Anti-Matter, Emotion, Null or Yin-Yang are unaffected by this technique as well). As a result it preventing them from gathering chakra for techniques done in the post immediately after the one the user is using this technique in, if they do not have enhanced chakra control (Perfect or Absolutely Perfect). When the victim is preforming a D-rank technique it is completely disrupted while C-ranks are merely delayed a post later. Description:Typically utilized by those charged with the defense of Nazogakure this technique is a specialty of their ANBU Corps. After making hand seals user causes a rock-slide by sending a wave of electric energy into a cliff at crashing ground speeds. However, this technique is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to be at it's highest effectiveness though a minimum of 30 ft off the ground is required to be able to utilize this technique at all. Upon doing so it causes a rock slide of sorts dealing B-rank Earth Release physical damage to victims thanks to the falling rocks which are spread over a width dependent on the terrain this technique was used from. In addition this technique is quite useful for destroying solid type (i.e Metal, Bone) defenses B-rank & below so long as they are weak or neutral to Lightning Release. In the case of the former when destroyed the defense crumbles downward in a similar manner as the original use of this technique (B-rank Variable Element physical damage) to harm opponents but in the case of the latter it merely destroys the defense and not much else.
