The "Things absolutely NO ONE asked for" Topic

White noise. That’s what it was called when there was sound emanating around you but all you could hear was this static-y buzzing sound, right? People were talking around Mu, but all he could hear was this loud white noise. He saw Yuki’s shy smile, Kori’s begrudging one, the sparkle in Audra’s eye as she looked at the absolutely stunning redhead that stood next to his teammate, with eyes that were silver and hair that was as black as sin. Minerva was appraising Occam with a smile that seemed a tad bit forced, as if she wasn’t fully okay with this but was going along just for the ride. Occam looked indifferent as they talked. Mu was just standing there with his eyes slightly widened and his face blank.

“We’re engaged.”

Those words. Those two little words shattered Mu’s heart into several thousand pieces and brought his world crashing, falling down around him. His hand slowly moved to his stomach as a million positively murderous bees buzzed around in there. Not his actual bees, they were calm as they always were. The murder bees were different. They wanted him to vomit and scream until his stomach was as empty as his chest was and he couldn’t even talk. He assumed that he looked like he was going to be physically ill, as Yuki turned to him with concerned eyes. She inquired and he gave her a rather lame excuse about not feeling well. He gave the happy couple his congratulations and made his way to the door. When it closed behind him he ran.

He was glad he had chosen Tenmetsu-ko as his original style. With it, he was able to run faster than the pain that waited at that house. Faster than the years of wanting and loving and caring that had just been destroyed with two accursed words. They had come to Dipu to deliver the news and the village was still foreign to him. He found himself on a beach and looked around at the water, glittering in the light of the moon. He stood there dazed for a few moments before a blood curdling scream wrenched from his throat.

The scream would sound like someone being brutally tortured to those who could hear. Anyone in tune with emotions might’ve been able to sense the despair, the heartbreak in it. He screamed and he screamed and he screamed. He dropped to his knees as tears streaked his face, the pain enveloping every ounce of his being completely and utterly. Gods above and below, it hurt. Mu was a masochist and loved all forms of physical pain. But this transcended that and hit a part of him that wasn’t touched by whatever had rewired him to receive pain as pleasure. This was something that he could not draw arousal from nor could he heal it. It was new and it was completely unwelcome.

When the screams stopped coming and his eyes had run dry, Mu stood on shaky legs. His skin glittered in the light as a side-effect of his second style. He could feel the strength in his body but that had not protected the weakness of his heart. He twisted the bracelet on his wrist and it formed a magnificent Naginata. He turned to the trees that lined the beach in a thick forest and swung the weapon with all the speed and strength he could muster. A large swath of trees were sawn in half and toppled, but it didn’t make Mu feel better. The weapon was a bracelet once more and Mu tried to think of something to do. Anything to make this pain stop.

Then he remembered her. The Medical Nin with the chocolate brown hair and the gourd of sake always on her person. He had to report to the Dokusei when he became a Combat Medic, as she was now the Head Medic for the ASN. He knew she ran a business that was…less than reputable. But he had also tried what she had to offer once. It had made him numb and he would kill if that meant this pain would just end. So he began walking.

Finding her proved impossible, but her product was around. The night became a blur for Mu. He remembered little. The scorch of the smoke in his lungs, the feel of hands upon him, dimmed lights and a dark room. Hands giving him that glorious pleasurable pain that his body was almost always seeking. He didn’t care what happened to him, as long as that pain never returned.
